Otei Thuliaga
"Beastgrappler"
╚══════════════╝
Word Count: 754
━━━━━━━━━

Otei's eyes followed every turn, twist, and lunge of Herra's body as she fought, showing every bit the reputation she was known for. Otei had heard of Herra Dawnsguild, she would argue there wasn't a single Thuliaga that didn't. However, to hear a reputation and to see it in action were very different.She felt the rumble of Herra's attacks from her feet into her legs, heard the satisfying crack and crumble of golem flesh as blows were exchanged. Otei couldn't help the buzzing in her body as she watched Herra do what she wanted, needed to do. Otei was no stranger to feeling gaps in power, her clan, if not all Geld, were driven mostly by becoming more: wealthier, stronger, faster, smarter. Each clan was different in what they prioritized and when faced with another exceeding any Geld's current capability, the desire to destroy that gap was all encompassing.

In truth, Otei wasn't sure which she desired more: to reach beyond Herra's reputation or to feel the crumble of golem flesh between her fingers. The day after her clan was sent to fight was still fresh in her mind. She walked to the rendezvous and saw the waste of golem bodies and the blood of her kin smeared across the ground. It was an out of body experience, the worst of it being the deafening silence. Perhaps that was why when she found the chieftess' motionless body, the unholy cries that escaped Otei was especially eardrum shattering. Out of the troupe that went, two survived... two that made it clear that the information given to them had been drastically different than what they met and that information had come from her father. It was in that moment, that Otei made a decision. Neither of them would return home because it was safer for them that Otei's father believed them dead, even Otei knew that much.

Despite that decision, returning home with the bodies that weren't obliterated was one of the hardest things Otei had done. Geld were unapologetic about their emotions and it was not something they were afraid to show and yet it was the silent stares of the children which hit her the hardest. The venture back had given Otei just enough time to make a game plan on her emotions when facing her father. However, when the moment came and she did see her father, of course it was nothing like how she planned it. Otei's heart was all she could hear, the roof of her mouth ached, and her limbs went cold. The moment her father embraced her, she collapsed and divulged into screams at the ground until her voice became hoarse and a migraine became incapacitating, something she was thankful for in keeping her from lashing out.

Since that day, the Thuliaga clan has mingled more with other races than most other Geld clan, working more closely with the Kinsguard and infrastructure. Their clan was chiefless and would remain so until the each clan leader rallied behind one; leadership was not passed down through bloodline and so Otei's work began. The crack of punches and kicks brought Otei back to the present, to the fight at hand, and with it an unwavering resolve she was ready to sacrifice anything for. Thus, when a cloaked man approached her with an invite to the training grounds, as suspicious as it was, she went anyway.

Once the fight finished, Otei went to join the others that had arrived. There was little context in the invitation she had received, but it was easy enough to put two-and-two together. As she approached, she took note of the other three, each garb so intricately different than the other, and there was a felis; Otei had never been so close to one before and so she stared with the smile of a child who was seeing snow for the first time. It seemed she had arrived on the precipice of introductions as a Locke Crowder had just introduced himself - was Otei suppose to bow? Tali didn't say anything about bowing for introductions, was that something humans did? Otei looked down at the man with flowing locks that reminder her of silk drapes, the urge to touch it nearly caused her to lift her fingers to touch it. However, recalling the hiss of Tali quickly reminded her that humans didn't like being touched all that much. Otei cleared her throat as she too gave a nod to Herra and company.

"Fair greetings to you all," Otei said, her voice gentle despite the husky nature of it. "And appreciative of the inivitation, Master Herra."

~~~Herra Dawnsguild~~~
As one final combatant approached their little clearing, Herra looked over the ramshackle group. A cat, a pirate, and a Geld...it seemed like the start of a gosh damned joke. The Geld spoke to her directly, thanking her for the invitation and Herra quirked a brow as she looked at the woman. "Oi don' gev no invoites, der', Goloiath. Dey tald mah Oi'd be doon dis, an ere Oi ahm. Yew, madam Goi-ent, kahn tank de hoir ups when ye meet em." She said with a bit of a laugh as she heaved a sigh. The blood was still pumping through her veins, and it almost made her sad to think that she had to let these bastards have the fun now.
She looked from person to person and she carefully explained what they were to do. The Kinsguard had collected weak, fledgling Golems to fight against them. One Golem per entrant. They would enter through the barred gate that Herra had been standing in front of. This would lead down multiple flights of stone stairs to a forged metal catwalk that led out to the edge of a pit. At this upper tier, there was a cage surrounding the pit that protected the people watching who would all gleefully be cheering or taunting the combatants as they jumped into the deep bowl to the sands below. The pit walls were round, creating a quite large circular arena. The walls had wooden spikes jutting out at intervals of about ten feet, and they were around five feet off the ground. Perfect for pushing someone's head through. The ceiling had several chains hanging at various lengths and with large, slightly sharp hooks on the ends.
When all of the combatants were ready, the Golems would be released, and they would be allowed to begin combat. Even though there was a Golem for every fighter, there were no rules as to who had to fight who. It was group combat and they could go about defeating their enemies any way they so chose to. When the last Golem fell, the exercise would be over. "Ahny servoiven membars even git puh into some sart o' draw fer ah new relic, too. So. Don' go doyin' too farst." She said with a smirk, stepping to the side and throwing a foul glare at the Felis man.
--ooc: Alrighty guys! SO, in your following posts you will roll a d100, because that will count for your initiative roll. This determines the order people take in combat. Highest to lowest. If you make multiple posts on your way down to the pit floor, then just roll in your first post, and we will use that when combat begins!
As Herra mentioned, for all surviving members of the combat exercise, you will be put into a draw for a new relic! There will be TWO Relics available, and they cannot be won by the same person. =]
You won't be able to actively use two relics right off the bat, but these two will be special. n_n
Chibiru sensed the woman's reaction when he mentioned his name, right away. Her demeanor did not falter, even a little, as she looked at him, but the feeling behind her eyes, and the rigidity of her body told him an entirely different story. She had history with his family...but he...he was good enough at being a nobody to pass by unnoticed he was sure...for now. She seemed about ready to strike out and take his head when the footfalls of another cut through the tension in the air. The man had a certain swagger about him that led Chibiru to believe him to be a confident man. The way he bowed, as well, showed a certain theatrical flair to the man's persona. Chibiru hadn't seen such a flourished bow, hand over heart and all, in quite some time. Perhaps this woman was more than he had yet to comprehend. A twinge in the back of his head pondered whether or not he should bow...he wasn't sure if he had ******** up. Maybe she was just angry because he hadn't showed the proper respects due. His face betrayed none of the dread boiling beneath his fur. His ear twitched nervously as he wrestled with the idea of following suit. Instead, as the man announced his name 'Locke Crowder', a third combatant strolled up. This time it was a Geld woman...and it had been long enough since he had crossed paths with one that the sheer size took him aback.
He was about to nod her way, with a stoic expression, giving nothing away, as he was trained to do. But when he turned to her direction, the woman was eyeing him with a smile that he could only describe as...joyful? His eyes widened in shock, and his mouth opened slightly. To normal folks, it would have been an extremely minor show of surprise; hell, it was barely even visible unless you were looking...like this Geld woman surely was. However, for Chibiru this show of emotion was akin to his jaw dropping to the floor and his eyes bulging out of his head. His eyes snapped away from the woman as soon as he realized he had been caught so off guard by her. She thanked Herra for inviting her...to which Herra didn't respond all too kindly, though, the woman didn't seem to have the best of manners. Perhaps she was too used to being looked at as a 'God'.
Herra explained what they were to do, and he took a deep breath as he looked to the other two that were there. "Mr. Crowder...and..." He stated, his eyes falling on the Geld woman with the incredible markings on her skin. His cheeks flushed (thank god it was well hidden beneath all of his fur), as he thought of that childish way she looked at him. Like he was some kind of pet toy to cuddle. "Well, I didn't catch your name...but, I'm Chibiru Musashi." He stated with a curt nod to both parties. He had been caught off guard enough for one day, however, and his persona slipped into an icy cool that he would not shed until the idea of combat had fully left him. "I will defend myself first. But, if possible, I will do everything I can to ensure we leave this place as a team." He stated, simply. Some may see it as an insult...but to him, it was common sense to watch your own back first and your allies second. How could you help them if there was a knife in your own back?
With that he turned on his heel and he walked to the gate, pulled it open and headed down the stone staircases. There were several of them leading further and further underground. Each step had been hand carved from the stone of the ground. This whole training area nothing but a massive hollowed out construct, built down into the bedrock. When Chibiru reached the pit, he looked down into the empty sands and closed his eyes--allowing the cheering and screaming from the people around him to wash over him. He had heard the hollering while Herra had disappeared and fought, but he didn't realize how loud these people were until he was right here beside them. He made no show to the crowd, but instead simply jumped down into the sands below and waited for his fellow combatants. This would be his first true battle as a KinsGuard.
--ooc: Alrighty everyone! So, anyone taking part in the training fight can make their post coming down here to the pits and we can get this thing going! I know a lot of people have gotten busy, and fallen away. So, if you're not participating, just let me know! I will just run it by myself and cry instead. Hahaha.
━━━━━━━━━
Otei beamed at Herra’s accent, it sounded like a string of guttural vowels; it was melodic to her despite Herra’s facial expressions. However, the thickness coupled with the distance she stood from Herra made what she said virtually unintelligible to Otei, but Otei nodded anyway, more so in wonder than for answering Herra directly. Otei’s eyes moved to the felis as he addressed her, thankful he was close enough to hear and not soft spoken; Otei took a mental note that she may have to hunch to make sure she could hear some people properly. She listened closely as he made clear his priorities during battle. It was not her particular way of fighting, but she understood his priorities and, if they were to be a cohesive team, respected them none the less. Regarding him, she noted his physique to be lean and his garb was mostly of what looked like breathable linen instead of restricting armor. An agile fighter of sorts for sure, she assumed.
“Well met Chibiru Musashi.” She said with firm nod, emphasizing the vowels due to the lilt in her own accent she shared with most other Geld. “I am Otei Thuliaga of Clan Thuliaga.” She turned slightly to speak to all parties. “I pride myself on defense and shall do my best to ensure no deaths.” She smiled as if giving a short blurb of her qualifications was reassuring. “Very eager to fight with you all.”
Otei too followed the steps that this Chibiru took down the stone staircases that would lead into a pit. She was attentive to not walk ahead of him in part because Tali constantly reminded Otei that her walking speed was intimidating, but mostly because she had no idea where exactly they were to go next. Tali, as much as Otei loved her visceral spirit of hissing and brashness, had burdened Otei with so many rules on how to conduct herself around beings smaller than her that in the first years after her coming-of-age ceremony Otei was terrified of stepping on someone. Now the thought was comical, but the experience less so. Furthermore, Otei’s experience with drow wasn’t nearly as rule heavy, they were well aware of their own surroundings and for some reason it was easier to fight alongside a drow than it was a human in Otei’s opinion – perhaps it was because Otei had spent extensive time in the company of drow in the early skirmishes against them then alongside them once both of their worlds were torn asunder.
Otei entered the pit a few steps behind Chibiru, the roar of the crowd hitting like the cries of a den of nosepiercers during mating season. There were crowds of people in the fighting dens she had fought in before hitting 7 feet, but here the hollers echoed and reverberated off every surface. Otei had to blink a few times in order to get her bearings. It was clear that she and the rest of the initiates of the KinsGuard would be conducting a public fight. She had heard that the KinsGuard did entertain crowds on occasion, but she didn’t realize this was how they would start their initiation. Otei could feel an anxiousness creep into her bones and she knelt to grab some sand, clapping it between her hands to get rid of the clamminess so her grip wouldn’t slip from her weapon. Otei was sure that there were other geld in the crowd, expecting the younglings of course but she did wonder if there would be geld from other clans; even though her father had disliked like the idea of her accepting the invitation to the KinsGuard, she wouldn’t be surprised if he sent some envoy to ensure she wasn’t bringing dishonor to his name. Otei took in a deep breath, as she focused on her breathing and then the hum of her heartbeat until the crowd’s roar began dissipating into a low ringing in her ears. It was a Thuliaga technique taught to her by the late Chieftess to help with focus; Otei believed others referred to it as meditation.
---Constance Gerbera---
Constance stretched her arm over her chest, pulling the muscles in her shoulder until she heard a solid pop, and grunted with the exertion and simultaneous pressure release from the joint. She sighed with the wave of relief that came over her and hefted the massive tower shield she carried over her shoulder. The day was warm with a light breeze. The perfect kind of weather, in her books. Not so hot that you'd sweat standing still, and not to cool that you needed more than a t-shirt. The breeze tossed her navy-purple hair, and pulled at the loose fabric of her tank-top as she walked down the streets. An odd fellow had visited her earlier, dressed in red robes, and wearing what seemed to be a permanent grin. He had invited her to partake in some sort of training scenario. She rolled her shoulders once again, feeling out any sort of knots of kinks that might inhibit her in the training to come.
By the time she had made her way to the indicated training grounds, she found herself face to face with a legend of the KinsGuard. She had heard of Herra Dawnsguild before...though she had never met the woman's acquaintance. She mentioned that the others had already gone inside, and that she was late. It seemed one man was still standing outside, though the rag-tag looking fellow had been here long before her, so she was unsure of his name. She nodded to him curtly before she followed Herra's instructions to move inside.
She went through the winding halls and stairways until it led her down to the ring above the pits, where the other two fighters had already jumped down into sands below. It seemed there would be quite the different group of them today. She was a High Elf, though her ears had been mutilated, cut down to a human round. There was a Felis man, a Geld woman, and another Human it seemed, at the entrance. She made note of each of them, though she didn't have much in the way of high hopes for anyone. They were all here because they were the newest of the new recruits. It was quite likely that none of them would be extraordinarily skilled in battle. She wondered what kind of foes that they would be up against.
As she hopped down into the sands, she nodded to the Felis and the Geld, getting herself into a comfortable battle position as she looked around the menacing arena. "Nice to meecha. I'm Constance. Looks like we'll be in the s**t together today." She said with a wicked grin that pulled her scarred features up. The x shape in her dead eye glowed lightly with the magic that allowed her to still see through it. She held tight to the Shield of Avarice, and the gold inlay, as well as the topaz spikes on the front seemed to reflect the fires of the torches lighting the area from above. "Let's have some fun with it." She stated with a smirk.
Locke Crowder
Locke could do nothing but stare in awe as he watched Herra fight. Her power was nothing he had seen before. She took on her opponents with such ferocity and power that it shook him to his core. Was this the power of her relic? Locke nervously played with the ring around his finger as he watched the remainder of the fight. When this fight was over he would have to learn much more about the power of these relics. She was definitely using her relic but that is not what made her terrifying, her battle sense and raw physical power was above anything he had ever witnessed. He understood why this monster of a human being was named one of the Twelve Gods. As Herra returned to the new Kingsgaurd he tried his best to make out what she was saying but he could not make out a word through her thick accent; lucky it seemed that his teammates had no such problem.
A Felis, a Geld and two humans walk into an arena, the thought felt like a start to a corny joke. Locke tried his best to analyze his teammates. The Felis seemed strong in close quarters especially with those bladed weapons, the Geld was built like a small tree and he found himself relieved when she mentioned that she prided herself on defense. He felt something a little off with the other human but he couldn’t place his finger on what was making him feel off, she seemed friendly enough and she carried a shield with her so he chalked that up to a double bonus. This was quite the ragtag group of fighters, he smiled and thought this would make a pretty decent crew. I wonder if any of them have decent sea legs.
He followed his teammates down the stairs. He had no secrets to hide here so he felt like he might as well share everything. He cleared his throat as he felt the slight pang of his fleeting hangover “To be honest I haven’t come across too many golems, I know if you stab them enough they die but I don’t know too much else other than that. I prefer to do my murdering at close range but I have a few midrange attacks up my sleeve as well.” He said gesturing to the throwing knives strung on the strap across his chest. “I only have so many of these little guys so I got to make them count.”
As the final word left his mouth his foot touched the sand of the arena. It seemed much bigger now that he was in it. The crowd around him was deafening. If anything this is going to make for a great show. The heat and the noise aggravated his headache but luckily he carried a cure for this ailment. Locke produced a small silver flask that he had once stolen of one of his more violent voyages. “ A little liquid courage for what lies ahead.” he jested bringing the flask to his lips "And a little more for good measure and a bit of fun!” he cocked his head back and drained the remainder of its contents. It wasn’t enough to get him drunk, he needed far more booze for that, but it did seem to take the edge of his hangover and loosen him up. He unsheathed both of his blades keeping his short sword in a reverse grip behind his back while his cutlass remained poised in front of him. “Let's get this fighting ******** over with, and if we make it out unscathed, drinks are on me.
~~~Formling Team~~~

As the four different members of the KinsGuard had made their way down into the pits below, an eerie grinding of steel on steel could be heard, echoing out toward the combatants. Shortly after the sound, there was a strange series of clunky thuds, like massive, unbalanced footsteps, and then a huge echoing boom as something slammed against the outer material of the arena. The sand floor shook with the impact, and a dent appeared in a section of the wall. Another followed and slowly the grinding noise would fill the entire arena as a section of the wall rose upward on a pulley system. Ten good men lifted the wall, and four massive, rock-clad monsters burst into the sandy arena. Each of them looked similar. They were basic Golems, not even advanced enough to take on biological forms. They were truly made of rock and minerals--the base materials they came from.

The Golems halted on their half of the arena, seeming to analyze their enemies before any sort of combat would begin. The fourth of the Formlings to enter was the first to act, its anticipation eating at it. It charged forward through the sand, it's clunky rock feet pounding against the terrain as it charged toward the massive four-armed woman. It cocked back its thin pillar-like arm and slammed it forward, attempting to hit the woman square in the gut and wind her.

As soon as Formling Delta had run toward Otei, the Alpha Formling launched into action as well, charging directly in behind its ally, though instead he branched off and headed toward a slight-looking Felis man. The cat-like man thing was almost as strange as the four armed woman. However, at the end of the day, the cat seemed the weakest out of them all. It would do for the first to fall! The Formling lept into the air and when it came crashing down it brought both rock arms down in a hammer swing toward Chibiru's head. It would crush this stupid cat-man in a second and move on quickly.

--ooc: Alrighty guys!! SO, with the four enemies introduced and rolled for, we have our turn order for the battle! It goes:

Formling Delta, Formling Alpha, Chibiru, Locke, Otei, Formling Beta, Formling Charlie, and then Constance!

Everyone continue to keep track of your individual lines. HOWEVER, at the end of the exercise, we will be adding ALL OF OUR LINES together, and we will ALL claim the total count. This is my little starting gift to everyone. It will also allow for you to boost your character with a pretty damn solid start!!

As you can see, at the bottom of your post, please just have a little declaration of who you are attacking, and with what type of attack. n_n

I look forward to roleplaying with all of you!! =]

ALSO, if anyone who will be participating in wave two is looking at this, (Retro, I'm looking at you) then I hope you know that I won't gimp anyone. I am going to make sure that just because the first starters had 4 people roleplaying, they get more of a bonus. If there are 2 people, I will double the end count to be more like 4 people. If there is 1 person, I will multiply it by 4 to seem around the same. I WILL BE FAIR TO ALL!

ALSO ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: Everyone take a look at the stats section. I changed how Skill works because I thought it was too complicated and would add too much work to combat. Instead of needing to worry about Rerolling attacks and all that jazz, it just gives you a set number of free successful defenses during combat. Which will still be HELLA handy! =]

Chibiru had been the first to enter the arena, sure, but soon there were four of them. He had not met the woman who had come in, carrying a shield, but she had a fire in her that he had not seen in many people. The scars that covered her face were strangely...appealing in a way. Most might classify the woman as ugly right away, but something about her was interesting to be sure. The scars seemed to just add to it. She carried some form of massive shield that Chibiru had never seen someone wield before...it seemed almost comical. When she spoke she was direct...though crass. He refrained from rolling his eyes or reacting in any way, really. Instead he just took a deep breath and prepared himself. The man who smelled of a rum-bucket was the last to arrive...naturally of course for some booze-soaked pirate. Otei had now introduced herself, so he had a name to put to the woman's face. However, at first he had been wary of her odd looks toward him, now he was seeing a different side.

Though she had seemed a bit odd in the beginning, the woman had a serious side when it came to battle it would seem, and her intentions appeared to lay in keeping her allies safe. Chibiru couldn't claim the same thing, surely, but wasn't killing the enemy just as defensive as protecting your friends? Kind of. They both stopped the friends from dying at the end of the day. "You don't just stab them, Mr. Crowder. You find their weakness and you destroy them." Chibiru stated flatly, as if educating a young boy. As if to prove his point the enormous pounding sounds started to shake their whole arena, and shortly after four massive boulder-like creatures stormed into the arena. "You see. Stabbing a rock aimlessly...will not get you where you wish to be. Unless..." His voice trailed off as he thought. Unless you are much...MUCH...stronger than you look. But, he would not let his hopes get quite that high.

The enemy had charged, now, and he was one of the first targets. His eyes snapped upward to the golem that was diving down toward him and his eyes narrowed. He pulled out the daggers in a flurry of motion and his arms stretched, looping the connected wire around one of the monsters arms and pulling down with all of his strength to toss the monster to the ground. It rolled through the sand and came to a halt harmlessly, but Chibiru did not let up there. He ran forward toward the beast, his cat's paws making no noise as he slid through the sand and dove forward toward the enemy, attempting to drive his tanto directly into the center-mass of the creature, where there seemed to be some sort of glowing core.

Locke Crowder

Locke seemed a tad annoyed at Chibiru’s response “It’s always good to get advice from a real bonafide pro” he said slyly back. This guy must think I have no idea what's going on. His thoughts were interrupted by the entrance of the other combatants. The four golems that entered the arena were like mid sized boulders. Each of them were hulking pieces of rock that to the average person would seem terrifying, however, they seemingly lacked the bloodlust and agility that Herra had fought before. The creatures were from the same species but were completely different in terms of raw power. Locke breathed a sigh of relief that they were not facing the same monsters that Herra fought. He turned his attention back to Chibiru “I appreciate the tip but from MY experience things that are chopped into little bits or punched full of holes tend not to live very long.” Locke’s mood shifted as soon as he noticed the golems moving he would have plenty of time to banter and jest later but now was time to work.

He watched as Chibiru skillfully dodged the attack and knocked the golem to the ground and proceeded to follow up with an attack. Unlike his fellow Kinsgaurd the golems appeared to lack teamwork and coordination, a perfect flaw to take advantage of. Similar to a game of cards this fight was a numbers game, and the deck needed to be stacked in their favor. If we gang up on them one at a time then this should be easier than stealing from the blind. Locke used Chibiru’s body to block the line of sight from the golem as he dashed in the same direction. While Chibiru’s small lecture was belittling he did make a good point, it would be reckless to attack just anywhere. I might not be able to cut it in half but I might be able to take off an arm Locke thought to himself. His timing was off from Chibiru’s attack but he was close behind. Locke quickly sheathed his short sword and leaped into the air. With both hands on the grip of his cutlass he aimed for the joint of the shoulder. With a little luck his blade would land between the arm and the shoulder and hopefully hack off one of the golems stone covered arms.

Everything kicked off seconds from when the golems appeared, their heavy forms clanging into the sand and caused it to ripple like water. As two broke away from the pack, Otei did not miss the b-line that one golem was making toward her as the other charged at Chibiru. Otei took her massive sword in one hand, setting her other hand on its back such that the flat side was facing the golem. Her stance made her look even longer than before as one leg braced behind her and her other bent in a lunge as she intended to face this golem head-on. Fancy footwork was not her forte and with a sword that was nearly half her size, she had to work to keep good balance.

Timing, she knew, was everything. As the golem clanked into her vicinity to bring its arm-like appendages down, Otei shot up with the flat edge of her sword. The power coming entirely from her legs, she used the flat face of her weapon to not only keep her face from being pummeled but to use its own momentum against it, forcing the golem's arms back up in the air as if it had bounced off the blade. The quick shift in weight would force the golem off balance and Otei did not hesitate to take full advantage as she shifted both hands to the hilt of her sword and wound her hips to bring her weapon across its center diagonally in the hope of exposing the core she knew hid beneath its mass.

~~~Formling Team: Beta / Charlie - Turn 1~~~
As the Golems entered the arena, the sands quaked beneath them. They felt themselves superior, but as the two that remained back watched their brethren attempt to strike, they watched them both easily deflected by these humans. It was easy to tell they were nothing special...but it seemed, at the very least, they would be able to put up some form of resistance. As the first attack was evaded with some form of agile skill, sending the much larger golem flying to the ground, the Formling Charlie almost ran directly toward the foe, feeling threatened by its ability, and the fact that there was a secondary combatant seemingly attempting to de-limb the golem. But, when the giant woman braced herself and threw back the second golem with ease, both of the Formlings immediately re-evaluated and knew they would need to split up. Their movements were precise and without waste as they blasted off in opposite directions.
Formling Beta went to join his ally who was being attacked by the Felis and the Pirate. As Locke attacked the other Golem, the Formling Beta would wait for him to land in the sand, and in that moment, the rock around its core would light up with energy. A single blast of blue energy would erupt from the core and fly towards Locke. If it hit him, it would feel as if condensed fire were erupting through his skin, though none of his outer clothing would be damaged.
Formling Charlie broke off in the opposite direction, attempting to aid the other Golem in fighting the Giant. It would seem that this woman was not a single one on one fair fight. She looked like she would surely be the toughest of them all to deal with. As the Formling got close to Otei, it watched her carefully, waiting for her diagonal swing to end before trying to rocket into her personal space too fast for her to react. As soon as it was one step within range it would c**k its rock head back and slam it forward, attempting to literally bash her face in with its own head.
--ooc: Alright guys, just a little new request that I totally forgot about! Because every 5 turns, you will get a little more tired, you will need to keep track of your turns. n_n Just a wee "turn 1" at the top. It will be "Turn 2" in your next post, though, of course. =]
---Constance Gerbera: Turn 1---
Constance smirked when the shaggy man made his comment about how he hadn't come across too many of them yet. She could relate. She had almost never set eyes on them in her life...but here they were, suddenly facing all of them in all of their glory. Constance cracked into a grin as she looked at them, and immediately, down from the depths of her guts she felt the hatred that she had carried for years as the b*****d Princess of Dellhaven. Her fist tightened around her shield's handle and listened to the exchange between Chibiru and Locke...it seemed this kitty cat had a stick up its a**.
Her eyes snapped back to Locke and she pointed the entire tower shield at him--the gold and gems reflecting enough light to blind a person. "I'm holding you to that, sailor. I best not be payin' a dime...oh...and I 'aint no lightweight." She stated, still grinning as she focused herself back to the fight ahead. The creatures were being deflected left right and center, and by the time she was ready to move, everyone had already gone off and started fighting. But...nobody was fighting her and that pissed her right off already. She watched as Otei fought off her opponents, pushing them away from her with her sword. The woman was truly huge. It was inspiring to watch. "Hey, Otei! Keep that s**t up! I'm going to tear this Golem a new hole, and I'll come back you up right after...not that your big a** needs it!" She shouted with a laugh, turning back towards the others.
"Forgetting somoene?" She bellowed as she charged forward toward the Golem that Chibiru and Locke were already fighting.
Locke had struck its shoulder, and Chibiru, the "professional" of the group was going for the creature's core. She smiled as she rushed in from behind with her battle cry. Rearing the shield back and then pushing it with all of her might, shouldering behind it and using it like a battering ram to ram right into the b*****d. The shield's pure topaz spikes would be driven right into the Golem's hide. It might not go in like flesh, but it was going to chip off some parts...and that would hurt...right?
~~~Formling Alpha / Delta - Turn 2~~~

Formling Delta had attempted to slam down on his giant foe, but she was able to intercept it with ease, catching its rock limb against the flat of a large sword. Delta shuffled nervously as it looked at the enemy ahead of it, wondering how to go about landing a blow against such a woman, when she blasted into action ahead of it being able to lash out again. Her sword came up blindingly fast in a diagonal cut pattern, but the golem thrust out its two arms and slammed them down on either side of the blade, catching it in mid flight. A roar emitted from the golem, though it seemed to have no mouth. Perhaps it was echoing within her very mind.

The Formling Alpha felt the wire slip around its appendage, and it knew its attack had failed. All it could do was land without taking damage and do its best to try again. It tumbled, not-so-gracefully through the sand and when it stood up, shaking off the debris, it was not pleased. As it stood, Chibiru was already in front of it, and it watched as the cat-thing tried to stab it in the chest with its little blades. A rock leg came flying up into the creatures ribs to knock it off balance and send it tumbling to the side. Not enough to hurt it, but enough to disrupt the movement. In the same motion, it swung its elbow backward to intercept the airborne Locke with enough force to send the man shooting back down to the dirt. These Golems would not go quietly.

As both of the Golems readied themselves to attack once more, there was a flash of light. It seemed as if their steps forward turned into creaking motions that were barely even happening. Each movement seeming to take a thousand years. The air around them glimmered, and the crowd themselves also found themselves motionless, time itself frozen. Herra walked towards the four combatants with an evil grin on her face. "Oi! ******** can' do an-than bout et ef ey don' see it appen ey? Truly, we gathered the weakes' lehtel bahstards we could fynd. Ahn ye still can' even put on a bloodeh show? Pesh posh. Mah plan all long. Her grin spread wider as her whole body seemed to vibrate, glowing with energy. "Don' sheyt yerself nao."

She sent out four punches with enough speed that it had only looked as if her body had twitched momentarily. The blasts of energy left her fist and would slam directly into the chest of each combatant. Likely knocking them on their a** if they didn't brace well. They would feel their bodies light up like explosives, fire in their veins for ten solid seconds as pure unadulterated power rushed through their systems. It was time to become KinsGuard, and Herra didn't have the time to wait for them to slap fight these ******** Golems. Time to wake up, lads.

-------------

For the Alpha and Delta Golems, the time that Herra had entered the battlefield felt like a literal blink of an eye. They had witnessed the flash of light--just like the audience had, but nobody had seen Herra enter the arena and impart some of her energy to the combatants. Immediately, however, after the flash, the Golems could feel something...different about their enemies. Regardless, there wasn't enough time to worry about it! The Golems immediately rushed forward, the Delta Golem, which had just fended off the Geld woman shouldered past her and charged for the woman with the shield. It seemed she had gone unnoticed before!

Delta pulled back its rock arm and swung it as hard as it could like a baseball bat toward the woman's ribs, hoping to splinter a few and make her move a little slower. While that was going on, the Alpha golem was flailing about, shrugging off the blows, it noticed the Delta Golem charging in to help it with the woman who had attacked it from behind. As Delta attacked Constance, the Alpha golem looked to the Cat-man once more and barreled forward. It charged energy up into its hands and with a mighty clap it blasted the energy toward Chibiru, attempting to roast his skin and send him flying backward.

--ooc: ALRIGHT. So, now, we have a little bit of a curve-ball thrown into the battle. I know it's only been one turn. BUT. What I am doing is I am accumulating everyone's word totals up to this point.

EVERYONE WILL NOW UPDATE THEIR CHARACTERS WITH THESE WORDS.

This will not only teach you the combat system, but also how you will go about spending your words. You can go over to the Updates forum, and there you will see that I have created my own forum there, Titled 'Chibiru Musashi's Updates. Everyone can create their own thread in this forum for their updates. It is there that you will always post your updates, and THEN ask for a mod to update in the request thread. This is the easiest way I have found for everyone to be able to make their own updates in their own controlled place, and have another thread to say HEY! Come update! And I can come look, make sure everything is good, and then update the character.

I obviously can't allow for people to update their own characters because it makes cheating entirely to easy. n_n I've seen it done. Trust me it's easy though!

SO. For this update, I have combined all of your words, and you would have had 8, 422 total, I believe, but I will add in some of the NPC lines (WE DON'T USUALLY DO THIS) and round it up to 9,000.

So, before we continue, I'd like for all 4 characters to receive an update worth 9,000 words. n_n
