The final step was to meditate on your goals for the year. He settled them all into a triangle facing each other.
He closed his eyes and thought hard about his future and what he wanted from it. How he wanted to achieve venerable legendary status soon. The potential of maybe having another child a few years down the road. Now really wasn't the time, he wanted to see if they could manage the children they had but he still wanted a large clan.

Thallassa 6
Once they were all arranged Thallassa too closed his eyes and thought about the new year and what it would bring.
He would have to pick a profession soon. He also would like to meet some new friends, do a little traveling up into Tale and Sauti, maybe all the way over to Jauhar.
He wanted to build up some muscle to make adventuring easier. He wanted to build his endurance and spend as much time in the sea and surfing as possible. He figured these were pretty good goals.

Ushiwa 6
For his own part Ushiwa wished that he would be able to keep up with his older brother. He was aware that he looked more like Kiyelt in a way but that Thallassa was the oldest and his bigest boy competition. The bonds his Dad had with the girls didn't count. Of course he didn't want Thallassa to be crowded out but to share the spotlight. Perhaps he was more like his sister Ny then he had thought. The thought made him smile.
Eventually just when he thought that he couldn't possibly stay still anymore, his Father moved and broke the meditation.

Together they unfolded, and packed up all of their accoutrements. It had been an excellent ceremony and it had gone swimmingly. Everyone had performed their part perfectly.
He ruffled Ushiwa's hair.
"Great job on your first time, nary a step out of place, I am very proud Ushiwa."
He turned to Thallassa. "Excellent job son, well portrayed. The gods will no doubt be pleased with your offering." He clapped his gangly son on the shoulder. He remembered being that long limbed and uncoordinated. It would coming for Ushi next the teenage phase. He was glad he was done with it.

He glowed with pride. He had put every ounce of detail he had into those fish bundles and he was ecstatic that he had pulled it off without a problem popping up. He could not wait to tell his Mother. He hoped that their ritual had gone just as well.
He gathered up his portion and helped Ushi with his once he was done. Then he offered his little brother a shoulder wide home and was honored at the bright grin he recieved in return.

Ushiwa 7
Ushi giggled as his Father ruffled his hair. He wiped a tear away that he could not help but shed. He had done good.
He cleaned and Thallassa helped, then offered him a back ride. Ushi was excited. He loved piggy back rides from whoever would give them to him. Sometimes his Dad even let him ride the Janarim at a walk. Sky never went faster even if he drummed his little heels impatiently.
Thallassa would run with him for as long as he could and it was amazing.
"Thank you," he murmured to his brother whom he would always love, perhaps the most but always be in a competition with.
