Alex sighed and motioned. "Sorry, sorry. I get set off easily. Scheming! Scheming is important now., The depths of my disdain for thje latest Rockefgeller trying to compensate can wait until latyer. Trust me."
SNORT. She was still not happy with her parents' last sneaky introduction.

"No, it's fine," the man answered with a chuckle. "I get it. Really. Parents who put a lot of pressure on you to follow after them aren't easy to deal with." Odd. He never expected to find someone who could understand his own struggles so clearly. Mainly because he tried his best to keep away from the rich crowd, having had plenty to do with them for his lifetime. He hoped one day his parents were finally learn that, no, he didn't want to be the CEO of the company and never would, so kindly go ******** yourself. "We don't have to talk about it anymore if you don't want to. I put it behind me years ago, it's not a topic that bothers me anymore if you want to keep venting about it." As curious as he was. This was a side of the rich folks he hadn't been exposed too very much. Imagine. Being so big of a control freak to try to encourage your daughter to meet her future husband from other prestigious families.
"How about we get your ankle looked at before we start the scheming? And trade numbers? I'm guessing this isn't what your mother had in mind when she wanted you to meet eligible bachelors." For, as the son of a rich CEO and single, he did qualify. Isiah hoped nothing he said would come off like he was interested. He really wasn't. But he could appreciate the irony of the situation and hoped Alex could, as well.

"My mother is a right bitych." Alex sighed, then griunned. "Yweah, I'm up for a number swap. I desperately need people to call to escape things. Hang out. All sorts of things."
Alex grinned, before happily passing on both her phone number, before beginning to regale Isiah with her plans as well as her protests about her mother as they made their way to the nearest medical facility. Alex, for one, welcoimed new friends... And someone who she could talk to.
A good day, even if she was hobbling to the ER or Urgent Care with someone she just met. There were plans afot.
