“No wonder you left!” Cavansite laughed softly, looking as though she was about to start crying again. “I’m so happy for you, Ammersee! That’s wonderful…” She hesitated and looked between him and Evan. “...Wait, is that...he fell in love with Evan? Evan is your fiance my Ammersee’s brother? Oh my God.”
Unless he wasn’t...but. This was too much. Too much information. Too many revelations. “...Oh...Yeah. He’s in a relationship with two others. They’re so kind, Evan. Um. One of them is a knight, I know that much at least. Parasite pulled his starseed, remember? That’s..what caused all of this but…” She sighed and bit her lip. “I’ll go and talk to the other one. See if he is part of the Negaverse or not. I’ll pull his ear and make sure he purifies too if he is. Don’t worry...I won’t let us be pulled back...I…”
She looked happy. “I really want this. I wonder...I wonder who I’ll become. And writing notes, that’s a good idea...I’ll...do that too. And I’ll have Yu do it...could…” Her mind was spinning and she was terribly excited. “Could we go back now, maybe...ah, Mont Saint Michel. Please? No offense...but your wonder is kind of really starting to creep me out...and that’s saying something, considering where I live.”

The flush on Evan's face was answer enough; he didn't have to speak for such a claim to be confirmed.
Michel snorted at her request but nodded. He didn't look eager to do the teleportation thing again, at least not with so many people, but they couldn't stay here forever. He could feel Evan trembling in his arms, even if he tried to hide it.
"...Fine," he agreed after a few seconds. "...But only because you have a lot of work to do. And if you drag you're feet, you'll lose the opportunity. I don't know that I trust you, but Evan and Ammersee have gone out of their way to get themselves involved in this, and I like my life the way it is. So, I really can't afford to have you messing it up."
Ammersee glanced at him and watched with an almost sour expression, but it appeared that was as courteous as Michel could be. He gestured for them to come closer. His grip on Evan was strong already, and he grabbed the Squire's wrist, assuming he'd hold Cavansite tight enough to make the teleportation easy.
He would take them home. He would give her a chance to follow through on her words.
And then, maybe, if things played out, he'd give her a chance, too.
And, just maybe, things would work out for the better, and they could keep their happy, peaceful life.
