Jet would just have to keep an eye on him until it seemed as though he was ready. Or if he didn't seem interested, well, it wasn't as though Jet went around killing civilians. None that weren't actively causing problems at least.
"Take all the time you need," Jet said, already knowing that Aquamarine would probably get on him for trying to recruit not only a pretty blond teenager, but that he asked him pretty quickly without getting to know him better. They were looking for quality after all.
But Jet had a good feeling about this one. He had initiative and didn't seem to scare easily. Those were both definitely good things.
"If you do decide, you're interested, or want to learn more… there's a park just a block in that direction," Jet nodded to indicate which. "I'll be there every Saturday at midnight."
And since there was not much else for them to talk about, Jet nodded to the civilian and teleported away.
He didn't go far, but out of sight to observe the young man a little while longer.
