Elsa exhaled, and gave a thumbs up, nodding. "I...uh, I wouldn't know. Apparently I don't actually feel pain when I'm like that? Which is weird, let me tell you."
To say the least. Elsa remembered the overwhelming, overpowering hunger, and that was maybe the scariest thing he'd ever felt. It made getting hit by his own monster-stalk magic back when he was a baby Senshi pale in comparison, and he couldn't help but feel stupid for having been scared of his own power then. He'd had no idea what he was in for.
But it had worked. He'd saved someone.
He took the rabbit in his arms, and sat back, petting the soft fur. It was shockingly comforting, and he was glad for the warm body against his chest.
"That was, in fact, my first time turning into a monster." Elsa flashed a slightly cockeyed grin. "I think it's my new magic, ever since I became an Eternal Senshi. I hadn't had a chance to use it before now."
...And then the Lieutenant explained his situation with the Senshi, and Elsa made a distressed noise. "What the <********>" he said, articulately, because nothing else accurately reflected his feelings on the situation. "You got corrupted as some kind of...of human shield? I'm so sorry, that's awful." To say the least. "I hope your Captain is better to you than that piece of s**t General."

The rabbit helped, because of course it did. There was simply something healing about soft warm creatures who curled against your chest when you were stressed out. Reaching out, Gismondine patted the male’s knee. “Yeah...I was supposed to save his life but um. It didn’t work out for him. But no, my Captain is amazing! And he brought me to his General, and she’s just wonderful too. It was completely overwhelming but…”
He smiled and tucked back a strand of hair that had fallen in front of his face. “They were really understanding and my Captain almost died bringing us to his General...plus he stabbed the senshi so that...that’s pretty cool. He’s a great mentor.”
Looking at the senshi, Gismondine held out a hand. “I’m Gismondine, and I would love to be friends if um. You want to? We...You...are you part of the Negaverse? You kind of feel...I mean, you don’t...you aren’t off putting like Cinnamon ********.” He paused and his cheeks flamed. “...That’s what my Captain calls him, I apologize!”

"Good," Elsa said, firmly, gently stroking the rabbit and using the feel of soft fur under his fingers to keep himself grounded. "I'm glad that you've got people who treat you better. That's how it sohuld be--at least, from everything I know about the Negaverse. Which--"
He grimaced, briefly. "I'm not a Negaverse Senshi, no. I've got fantastic hair, sure, bot not neartly as good as your corrupts get. And they have--holes," he gestured, to his forehead and then his chest "here and here. They're distinct. You'll know one when you see one, I promise. No, I'm part of the Dark Mirror Court. We're Chaos, but...." He sighed. "Things between us and the Negaverse are uh. Complicated, on an official level, and not every Dark Mirror is friendly to you guys. I always have been, though. and I'm definitely not buddies with Cinnamon ******** over there, or anyone like him who thinks it's okay to pick on people weaker than them."

He nodded and shrugged. “I...we can still be friends right? Even if you’re not in the Negaverse? We’re...on the same side? If you’re not his friend, then you’re obviously mine.” He seemed so sure of this and smiled. “We should go and get something to drink. You look tired and a little pale, I know that must have taken a lot out of you. I know a really good cafe that sells wonderful hot chocolates if you would like to go with me?”
Gismondine bit his lip and looked hopefully at Elsa. “I need more friends that...who are...I mean…” He sighed. “Who are...who I can talk to about all of this...right now all I really have is my Captain so...I’m glad that you’re friendly so...we...can talk about this? And maybe you can help me learn to defend myself better too? I actually punched him this time...that’s um. Why he was so mad, I think.”
He reached out and stroked the rabbit once more. “...He’s been teaching me to punch a little. But I’m still not very good.”

This Lieutenant...he was too kind. Too soft. He absolutely needed someone who could help him stand up and protect himself.
"Yeah, we can definitely be friends, and I can definitely teach you how to defend yourself." He smiled, faintly. "I'm Elsa." He gently let the bunny go, so he could stand up and extend a hand, even if his knees wobbled a little from the oncoming exhaustion. "And I don't know how much longer I can stay on my feet, but--another time? I will definitely, gladly teach you how to punch things."

Oh...well. That was okay. They could be friends next time. He carefully didn’t let his disappointment show on his face and nodded. “No worries! Ah…” Gismondine powered down without a second thought and pulled out his phone, finding the contact information and typing in Elsa in the name area.
“My real name is Nelson! Here! If you could put your number in, I can text you and we can meet up! For hot chocolate or ah...or training!”
And he could introduce Elsa to his other friends. To Yu and Xander, and they could all protect each other and…
And it would be wonderful! “We’ll have to do the hot chocolate soon though! Do...do you need help getting home? Will you be okay getting there? I can run to get you an energy drink or a soda or something if you’re really so tired…”

Elsa blinked, surprised to see the Lieutenant just...power down in front of him with no hesitation. But then again, it probably was safe....so he dropped his guise as Elsa and became regular Levi.
"Well, I mean. In this form, my name's Levi," he said, and he took the phone, typing his number in, "and I'd be glad to meet you for hot chocolate and training." He sighed, faintly.
"I sohuld be okay to get myself home. Thanks for your concern, though--that magic just...takes a lot out of me, I guess?"

“Levi! I like that name!” Nelson smiled brightly and looked so happy for a moment before he took the phone back. “Be safe, okay? And thank you so much for coming to save me. I’ll find a way to make it up to you, I promise.”
Maybe he could figure something out. It seemed a little dumb...to offer dinner in exchange for training and for saving his life but...that was the only thing he could think of.
He sent a quick text to the number Levi provided and stood. “I know...this sounds dumb, but please text me when you get home safe? In case that guy is still around? I’ll do the same for you, if you want…” He’d do the same even if Levi didn’t want. But. Still.
“I’ll see you soon!” He promised, giving another smile and little half wave, half bow before turning and hurrying off.
He’d have to work to hide the bruises again but…
The night hadn’t been so bad...
