"Now what?" The fish was huge and more than enough to feed them well. He was really proud he had been able to reel it in without his father having to take the rod from him. Fishing was so exhillarating.
Dad was going to have fun carrying this monster back, he was happy he didn't have to, or it might get sand on it. He was not that tall and this fish he would drag.
He hoped he would get as tall as his Dad one day, if not than taller than both sisters would have to do.

"Well, its too big to store here so I'm afraid that its more cooking than fishing on the agenda now, however you did a really good job providing for our family today. I want you to know; man to man, that that is what men do, they provide for those they love and in return those you love will provide for you in their own way. This is family. This is everything."
There he had parented. Something he had wanted to tell his son for forever, was now off of his chest. He wanted to make sure that Thallassa got the good values that his Father had instilled in him.

"Got it. Provide. For. Family." He would do so. He would provide and keep his family fed where he could. If everyone pitched in it made lighter work, especially when they had to clean, or cook, or do some other activity that was best coordinated by experts, aka, Mom.
He hopped around, enjoying the sea air on his face. The sun was just starting to get really hot, so maybe it was a good thing they were going back a little early, though he was sure he could fish all day with Dad. It was so much fun! Though baiting the hook was a bit yucky it was also fascinating.
"How are you going to cook it?"

"Good question, from the size, I think banana leaves and coals from breakfast's fire would do the trick dont you?" He wondered how his son would cook it. At this age probably boil it. Ew.
He couldn't wait until the kids were older, and yet he wished fervently that they would stay this happy and cute forever. They really lit up his life and he had always heard such horror stories about teenagers.
His son was growing up though, today he had caught his first fish, teenagerdom seemed inevitable.
He toussled Thallassa hair, "Come help me clean up and we can go to the house."

He did rather like the banana leaf method, the food always looked so neat and tidy and natural all bundled up like that before being put into the ground. It felt a little bit like a strange tribal ceremony to him like one of those people that were mysterious and mostly stayed to themselves, like the oban sorcerer's he imagined ruled the desert lands.
His Mother had told him on multiple occassions that he had a vivid imagination. But she couldn't hide her smile when she said it so he figured he was okay.
