They were asking for his opinion? Kaimana had just been enjoying his own sample tray, several crumbs marking the remnants of most pieces, and when the other Maori looked his way he paused with a fork in midair. Plus there had been that display between the two men that made him blink once more. Was this event a wedding or something? A grin crossed his lips as he pondered the whole situation. Was it popular for rich people to come overseas for a wedding here or had they relocated in Belrea? Either way Kaimana couldn't resist entering the conversation once invited. "I don't know how you can even decide on a favorite. All of these flavors are heavenly and it may take another tray of samples to decide " He teased lightly. "If it is your big day then why not do a variety? A big cake mixed with your favorites and miniatures for the rest? Though this strawberry chiffon is definitely tempting me to say its a favorite~" Kaimana popped the rest of the strawberry bite into his mouth and relished every moment of the taste before swallowing.

Regal? Their designs? Aurick didn't think they were that nice, but he wasn't one to turn away a compliment! Stepping away from the trio, Aurick went behind the counter and pulled out a pad of paper to write it all down. Once he'd gotten all the details down he motioned to one of his cousins in the back and asked for a pot of tea to be put on. In the meantime Aurick busied himself with getting a few glasses of water ready, and by the time he turned back....
Well, the scene was just too adorable not to smile. "Feel free not to listen to me since I'm trying to sell cakes here, but your future brother-in-law is right. If it's your wedding then whatever cakes you go with should be a mix of your favorites with a few other more basic ones around the base."

"The strawberry chiffon is really good~" Nyko murmured as he watched Yunan try his bite. There was something about the act that caused his own skin to flush. It was easy to forget that there were others around, and maybe it was because of that reason that Nyko didn't immediately register the other matorian's meaning. "He's got a point, Yunan; if you want to make a big impression we'll need a lot of cake."
And honestly it all sounded so nice until the lightning boy started talking and Nyko nearly choked on his water. Future brother in-law?! "Wedding?"

"The strawberry was rather delicious." Agreed Yunan almost absent mindedly as he pondered over the details. "If it went with the orange chiffon that you like, Nicosia, then perhaps that could be the second flavor." He studied the array of samples a moment longer before cutting into the vanilla and placing it next to the orange chiffon, "Or while vanilla may not be as extravagant it is still a very nice flavor and also compliments the orange chiffon." Perhaps it was almost like revenge or some form of his own amusement but Yunan placed both pieces together on the fork and held it out for Nyko to try. He personally preferred more bitter flavors such as the dark chocolate but those could be saved for the miniature cakes that they all seemed to agree upon. His golden gaze was fixated on Nyko's until the words from the lightning boy started to sink in.
Wedding?! A sharp intake of breath was Yunan's only noticeable change as he kept his pose and slowly turned his gaze upon the teen, "I believe we have a misunderstanding about what type of event this really is." He managed quietly with a small, forced smile. "I'm hosting a grand opening event for a new pharmaceutical store. We'll be serving a variety of people to celebrate that and nothing else." Did it look like he was about to marry anyone?! The thought made his gaze dart towards the fork in hand and Yunan promptly placed it right back down on the sample tray without another word.

"He's not wrong. You'll need to display something from both sides so it's truly a grand union." Kaimana added in with a dramatic flourish of his hands, "The day is supposed to be about you after all." The Matori straightened up in his seat, not even bothered about getting called a future brother-in-law, and watched the reactions from the other two foreigners with interest. He had never really witnessed an elaborate wedding before because most in the village just settled for a small ceremony with a banquet and dancing afterwards. It was a good time to show off and to give house gifts to the new couples while sharing gossip with relatives and friends you hadn't seen in a while. Kaimana had been impressed a few times by some of the gifts and the food was delicious but if this wedding had these cakes he could only imagine how luxurious the rest of it would be! Also who would be wearing what? His gaze narrowed thoughtfully before the sudden statement had him sitting back with a slight pout.
Well so much for celebrating a wedding. Though if the store did open soon he could at least get more cake, right? "Shame. You two make a cute couple for a wedding." He commented with a sigh before sitting back in his seat, "Best of luck though to your opening event though."

Bi-colored eyes widening, Aurick took a step back with his hands held up defensively. "Sorry, I just...it's just that you two just act...right, I'm just going to shut up now." How could they not be a couple? They were feeding each other, for spirit's sake, and Aurick had been around couples long enough to notice the look. If they weren't at least dating something else was going on and he just....how could he have gotten that part wrong?
"See? He sees it too." Aurick blurted out without thinking and just as quickly clamped his mouth shut. "Sorry, sorry- I'll just...how about a discount? For bumbling through this? And a sincere congratulations on your new store?"

He couldn't even about cake now, no matter how delicious the combo Yunan had presented sounded. All he wanted was to give it a try, had been ready to lean in and take a bite...until now. "First of all, he's not my brother-" Nyko moitioned to Kaimana, "He just walked in after us and started eating free cake. And you-" Focus shifting to the other matorian, Nyko gave the other man a stern look, "-we do not make a cute couple. There's nothing 'coupley' about us." Why was he getting so loud? He didn't have anything to be defensive about!
"I have a fiancée' by the way and she's going to be my date at the grand opening." Honestly, what was it about a couple of men walking into a bakery in the middle of the day talking about a grand event and feeding each other that -
Son of a bi-
Nyko's cheeks were practically burning.

"Seriously?" While Yunan had done his best to keep his ire away from Aurick, mostly because he didn't want to ruin the business relationship with the bakery now that he knew they wanted their cakes, there was nothing to stop him from sending a death glare towards the other Matori. Yunan took a deep breath and found himself pinching the bridge of his nose to regain some sort of poise as he addressed the foreigner. "While I appreciate the feedback there are certain things which do not need commentary. My companion is a performer for the opening event, a singer and not my lover." Yunan forced another tight smile towards Kaimana though Nyko's protests finished the rest of the story. Fiancée, right. How could one forget when Nicosia was constantly going on about her? Yunan stifled a sigh before turning back towards Aurick.
"It's fine. We weren't clear about the details in the first place. If anything I would appreciate some flyers if they could be taken and given out to customers?" Yunan straightened his shoulders, his flushed cheeks slowly cooling down as he did his best to regain his temper. "We should be leaving soon but I think we can visit again later to fill in any more needed details. As for the timing the event will be held on the fifth day of next month in town." He quickly pulled out a piece of parchment paper and scribbled down the notes about the location, the proposed amount of cakes they would need and passed it towards Aurick. "The orange chiffon with vanilla will be best for the main cake with a variety of your choice for the rest."
As for the other man? Yunan simply kept his back to him while he spoke to Aurick. Sometimes it was just best to avoid useless pests. Why waste his breath on such nonsense? As if he would want Nicosia in that way....when he had a fiancée already and Yunan had a business to focus on.

"Sounds like a lot of protestin'." Quipped Kaimana before raising his hands defensively, "But I'll say no more about how compatible you two are especially when you join forces so easily against little ole me." Okay perhaps he was having a blast with it because spirits those two definitely had something going on! It was pretty obvious even to the lightning teen and whenever the other foreigners had their backs to him, Kaimana couldn't help giving Aurick a playful wink. Totally not together....yet. He had to swallow his laughter and looked to the side whenever he felt like one of the men were sending him yet another glare.
"I'll just be over here waitin' to order whenever they're done." He raised a hand in farewell to the pair before darting down towards the other side of the bakery, his gaze suddenly and increasingly invested in a pair of pastries instead of the lovers....err coworkers.

A singer? Maybe Astra would have been able to recognize him, then. Aurick didn't particularly care for that kind of stuff so he didn't keep up with the trends. Now, though, he was thinking twice about it; maybe if he'd looked at some of those drawings in her notebooks then he would have recognized a face and saved himself some drama....
"Consider it done." Aurick answered smoothly. Anything the customer wanted at this point he would deliver. He took the paper happily and tucked it away for safe keeping. If he knew his mother like he thought he did she would have a full staff prepped tonight, and business would be shut down the week before just so she could get it all lined out.
Watching the other matorian make his little slip away gave Aurick the same idea. "I'll just be tending to him, then, since it seems like we've got this all lined out. If you have any changes or additions please stop by and let us know." With the best smile he could offer, Aurick turned his back and soon as he'd turned around he let out the breath he'd been holding. He didn't care so much if the other matorian saw it; he seemed much more...relaxed? But the other two...total power couple.

Out of habit Nyko raised his hand and signed out a few unsavory things about the other matorian. It didn't really dawn on him what he'd done, or how odd it might look to others, but he also didn't really care.
Once the other two were gone, Nyko leaned back in his seat before starting to rise. "Well I don't know about you but I think I'm all funned out for the day." Still clearly salty, the matorian tossed one last dirty look at the opposing pair before trying his best to 'chill'. Yunan, his fiance? Do I look like a sadist?

"Alright, we will be in contact." If anything Yunan was just beyond done with this whole situation at this point. He was more than ready to just leave and call it a day now that they actually had found someone to cater the event. It didn't stop him from shooting a murderous look towards the other Matori, a slight twitching of his gaze the only hint at the flustered emotions that the commentary was bringing. Who was he to make assumptions about Yunan's relationships with another? Sounded like the man needed to go and find something to occupy his time if he was free enough for such things!
Yunan glanced towards Nyko and gave a nod. "Agreed. We're finished with the orders so we can return now and I have more meetings this afternoon." He murmured before making his way towards the doorway. Once he left the bakery, Yunan only paused a moment to soak in the warm sunlight on his face before moving along.

Kaimana could only chuckle as the pair left the bakery. Whatever the other Matori had gestured towards him must have been very pleasant and Kaimana could only hope that it wasn't some sort of actual curse. What bad luck to get enchanted just for speaking the obvious! "Well now that the lovebirds are gone I would love to order a few of these pastries..." He began as he walked along the displays and started pointing to different goods. If anything at least he could have some delicious breakfast before losing his life to some sort of dark magic, right?
