Heras Box
Esai blinked with interest. He was assuming that Oma and Mata were the names that the youngling used for her mothers who appeared to be warriors indeed if they enjoyed sparring. Not that he was surprised considering the rumors but it was still hard to associate such a cute and innocent girl with those who had caused so much harm. I should try to get her home soon and hopefully I can slip away before they try to fight me as well. He thought quietly to himself before her suggestion made Esai pause. "Swords, hmm? Perhaps I'll try to borrow some from someone in the village and give it a try." So far he mostly focused on staff fighting and archery but it wouldn't hurt to expand his horizons, right?
His confusion only increased with the confession of her Oma interacting with another earthling. Was there really another Yaeli who had a relationship with one of the invaders? It seemed that their world was truly changing indeed. Esai could only imagine how terrified his own mother would be if he ever came home with one of the warrior women as a friend. "Caolan? I don't think I know any Caolan in our village so I'm afraid you won't find him here." He mused though something about the paints and the name tickled the back of his mind. Hadn't he met another Yaeli a long time ago who had a brother who liked paints? Was such a coincidence truly possible? Esai settled on keeping that quietly to himself before smiling back at Alizeh. "You did find an Esai bunny so hopefully that makes up for not finding this Caolan." At least her mother seemed to be near which made Esai both relieved and worried at the same time.
"What do you plan to do since you me instead of Caolan?" He questioned almost teasingly. "Hopefully you aren't too disappointed." If her mother was nearby then Esai supposed that he could keep her company a bit longer until her mother showed or until she was ready to track down her mother. The Yaeli was careful to keep an eye on the forest around them, his senses alert for any dangerous creatures or changes in sunlight as the afternoon slipped away.
