"No need to apologize." Replied Chrysanthe quickly. "Honestly I'm touched to see you get so riled up over it." Even if it was just in his nature to be a nice guy she was still touched that he had such a reaction because of something happening to her. The thought made her chuckle slightly, the only way she could think of reacting to the strange feelings fluttering in her stomach. Belrea truly was something else. Certainly there were still a lot of pricks here and there but then you had people like Aurick and her employer who made her feel like she actually mattered. Perhaps she would have found that overseas if she had stayed and looked past certain things but this...this had truly been a fresh start for the girl.
Even Aurick's mother was kind and Chrysanthe smiled in appreciation at the offer of lunch. "That honestly sounds lovely." She replied as she glanced between the two, her gaze warm as she studied the obviously close mother and son relationship. "Thank you. I'll definitely make certain to help out as much as possible! Don't even think about takin' it easy on me." She added with a firm nod as she flexed an arm upwards in determination. Chrysanthe followed behind them as they led the way, eager to see what type of home she would be staying in for the night. Honestly anything would be fine with her considering her past of roaming about and sleeping in whatever place she could fine but she was more curious to see what sort of home this family would have.

"Even if I wanted to I wouldn't be able to." Mya gave a little half-laugh. "Aurick's younger siblings are sweethearts, really, but they're active." Slipping out of her son's hold, the waddling Geian started making her way down the street. Even if she was an old pro at this Aurick still hung close, just in case.
The walk itself might not have been half as long as it was had the pair not stopped so frequently to point out local hotspots.
"-Mrs. Schuster is the best cobbler in the city. If you can ignore the incense-"
"-Don't get too close to that house. If you do you'll get a sight of Nightmare Nero that will never go away."
Once they managed to reach the residential block Mya was showing signs of exhaustion. She was huffier than she had been initially, with a hand pressed firmly into the small of her back. Aurick was there to help as much as he could, but the woman kept waving him off. It wasn't until they stopped in front of a row of tightly pressed townhomes that she gave in and reached for the railing. By the time they got up the steps and inside she was outright exhausted. Thankfully the kitchen was directly off the foyer to the right and Mama Petra was already at work preparing lunch.
Unlike her wife, Petra was a sharply dressed lightning woman. Her hair was pulled back primly against her scalp and were it not for the severe way she dressed her natural beauty may have shown through properly. When she heard voices she turned, immediately showing her concern. "What's wrong? Is she alright?"
"I'm fine, Petra, just fat and tired." Mya laughed, then outright groaned when Aurick lowered her into a chair.
That seemed to calm her, but her curiosity was still peeked by Chrys. "Are you the new midwife?"
"No, Mama," Aurick stepped a little closer to the hybrid and clapped her on the back. "This is Chrys. She delivered the flour today and I told her she could stay with us while she was in town. Didn't seem right to make her spend money if she doesn't have to."

Chrysanthe could only chuckle at the warning. It seemed that she definitely was in for something interesting during her stay in the city. She just hoped that she actually could manage to handle Aurick's younger siblings. After all she had always been the youngest in the family so while she had grown up around a lot of pranks she wasn't certain of what to expect from a pair of Belrean younglings. Her thoughts about the potential dangers quickly dissolved whenever there was a flurry of other information being flung at her. Not that Chrysanthe minded at all but it definitely was a lot! "I'll remember that." She murmured on more than one occasion as they passed by several spots that both Aurick and Mya pointed out. Even though she had been in Belrea for a couple of years by now it was still somewhat overwhelming to see how easily they crammed so many things into one area! Her mind definitely was spinning by the time the walk finally ended at Aurick's residence. If Mya was showing physical exhaustion then Chrysanthe swore that she could feel her mind flopping to the side from weariness as well. I really should leave the bakery more often. Who knew socializing could be so exhausting?
Chrysanthe found herself hovering nearby just in case the pair needed her assistance but she quickly froze whenever the lightning woman addressed her. Midwife? She blinked rapidly before Aurick stepped forward and a small smile of relief crossed her lips. "Yes, I'm a delivery girl...just not that delivery girl." She found herself quipping lightly before adding an explanation as an afterthought. "Tyri got tired of me staying at the bakery so much so she sent me in place of the usual delivery boy. She forgot to mention that in her last correspondence, I suppose." Which would be typical of her employer considering how much she absolutely adored surprises. Chrysanthe almost shook her head at the thought before focusing back on Petra. "It's nice to meet you and like I told Mya and Aurick I'll gladly help with anything that you need while I'm here."

Aurick's face immediately lit up. He clapped his hands before bending at the waist and throwing his head back. "Yes! That's what I'm talking about! Ahh, that was so good, Chrys." It didn't matter if Mya was laughing at them or if Petra looked ready to bury her head in the wall; he was just happy to have a partner in crime!
"Yes, well, in any case," Petra cleared her throat with a little smile. "You're welcome here as long as you're in the city. If Tyri trusts you then so do we." Tapping the counter, Petra hummed a little to herself before turning to Chrys, "Would you mind helping me with lunch? It's just sandwiches, but I still need to slice the bread and vegetables. Oh, and Aurick-" Looking over the stranger, the older lightning caught her son in a sympathetic gaze, "-go check on the kids. It's been far too quiet for too long; I don't trust it."
"On it." On his way out of the room he paused by Chrys and leaned in, "Can you beleaf this? Bring home a guest and I still have to babysit." Flashing one last grin he disappeared into the house.

Despite her best intentions, Chrysanthe couldn't help the grin that crossed her lips whenever Aurick reacted to her pun. It must be contagious. She thought with a slight shake of her head, her cheeks faintly flushed with embarrassment that she had actually pulled such a stunt. "Thank you again." She replied as she nodded her head respectfully towards Petra, "I don't mind helpin' with lunch." She quickly replied before Aurick's pun almost caused a laugh to slip from her lips. Chrysanthe quickly swallowed the laugh, only a small grin crossing her lips as she quietly shook her head at him and turned away.
"I'll go work on those sandwiches now. If you need anything else please let me know. I work in the bakery a lot so I tend to know my way around a kitchen." She tried to speak calmly though there was a gleam of amusement in her golden gaze as she peeked towards Aurick once more before darting away to help out. Chrysanthe had the feeling that she would be enjoying her next couple of days in the city for sure.
