Karone caught the keys and grinned, watching the two for a moment before leaving the house, a contented smile still on her face even as she began walking. When she was far enough away from the house, she powered up and made her way to the car, fully intent to make it back before the pizza came. There was no way that she would miss out on free food.

...Even if she had been the one to buy it.

Sterling gave a small sigh when Karone left and nuzzled closer. “In a minute. Just let me hold you for a minute more...or, let me sit in there with you? I don’t want to be away from you right now.” It sounded a little dumb. And very weak, he knew but…

But he couldn’t help it. If he could have things his way, he would never be more than a room away from Yu but...well. Hopefully the male would humor him. “...If you think I’m being silly, then just tell me plainly, okay?”

He would pay her back for the pizza, which was a quiet determination for a few reasons, but she didn’t need to see that coming.

As for Sterling.
“Even… if you’re being silly, I get it.” He muttered.
He rubbed small circles against Sterling’s back. “I’m ok… I’m right here.” He promised. “I didn’t vanish; I've no intention to… okay? I’m right here…”

He almost hadn’t been, though. He never wanted Sterling to know that.
He was selfish; he didn’t want that between them.

Sterling smiled and buried himself against Yu’s side, being as gentle as possible. “Well...good. Because I’m here too. And so long as you’re not going anywhere, neither am I. Not ever.”

So long as he could help it, at least.

“Come on, Moonbeam...let’s get you cleaned up and put into some pajamas...You’ll feel better then.” He hadn’t been told no, after all, so he was going to stay with him through it all. Come what may. “We’ll both feel better then.”
