"Thank you." Thal went straight to the kichen to see what Honi had gotten up to. He put some berries in his bowl and went to spend his breakfast watching Kina style up Honi's hair. They were the best looking kids in the neighborhood for a reason.
His mother was so proud of them. He knew it.
He was proud of this porridge it tasted so darn good. All the yum!
The berries seemed to burst in his mouth.

Honi nodded while she scooped up a mouthful of breakfast. She wasn't the most adventurous when it came to her hair, more often than not going with the 'usual' style which was little more than a simple ponytail. Still, she liked it and it seemed to have Kina's approval, so that was what mattered.
Besides, she didn't want to keep her sister from her breakfast for too long. She brought her bowl to the stool with a playful smirk and hopped on for her turn. She was just going to be sitting there, so she might as well eat! "Yours is on the table, too," she assured.

She smiled and gave a small nod. "Thank you." Knowing her food was on the table meant that it was cooling down just the way she liked it. Kina didn't like her oats steaming hot as it tended to burn her tongue. So she let them cool a bit longer than the others did.
Once Thal had his breakfast and came to watch Honi was sitting in front of her for her turn. Nykinae brushed out her sister's hair first to make sure it was tangle free before she began to style it up. The brush was set aside and she put a hair tie in it to keep it in place. "There we go." A final fluff of the style made sure it was cute and secure. "Don't forget to change out of your pajamas when you're done eating." Mostly her reminder was for their brother since he had enough energy that he was ready to run off right now.
She took to brushing out her own hair so that there were no knots in it but she didn't put it up since she preferred to wear her hair down. After that was done she made her way to her food and added in the honey. Kina stirred it all together with a spoon then took a small bite to make sure it was cool enough.

He looked down and he was indeed still in pajamas. His breakfast finished he rushed up the stairs to get changed before rushing back down to await Kina to finish her food. He thought it was funny that she liked the honey. Since she was sometimes the sour one. Honi who was never sour liked the spice of cinnamon and he liked the fresh burst of sour berries. Well sweet and sour berries anyway.
Well his hair felt great and his clothes looked good. He stood for inspection, as Kina liked to smooth out any wrinkles that he couldn't see and he didn't mind.
He liked that Kina wore her hair down too, it looked the best that way. Honi was cute no matter what she did. They both were but Kina looked best hair down.

Though she continued eating, Honi kept her shoulders and head very still for Kina to work. She couldn't help giggling at Thal's reaction to their sister's reminder, though she also still needed to change. "Thank you!" she cooed around a mouthful of food. When she emptied her bowl, she took it back to the kitchen.. where she tried to secretly lick the bowl clean while Kina was focused on her own food. She didn't want to waste any of it!
Then it was off to pick out a tunic with a pair of shorts, copying her brother while they waited for the inspection. There was definitely a rough bit of routine they followed! Still... she looked over Thal and smirked. "Thal, you be careful. Someone's gonna set their eyes on you and try taking you away for themselves," she complimented playfully.

She gave a small giggle when Thal rushed off to change his clothes. She missed when Honi snuck to lick the bowl. Kina would have only told her to use the spoon or her finger rather than stuffing her face in it.
By the time she was done eating her siblings were standing ready for inspection. She did a once over and had to smooth out some wrinkles on Thal. To Honi's comment she gave a snort. "Not unless they are good enough." She refused to let just anyone have her siblings. They had to be worthy. And she had high standards. After fixing a few wrinkles on Honi's clothing she went and donned her own outfit for the day.
It took her a bit to fix her own wrinkles and make sure she was presentable but when she was done she joined her brother and sister. "Alright. Now what to do first?"

"Isn't it a bit early Honi, for putting me up for market?" He snickered. Out of them all he knew that he would have the roughest time, he had to protect both sisters...oh yeah Dad was pretty scary, maybe he wouldn't have to work too hard then, as long as he and his Father were on the same page.
Their Dad had taught them all how to fight if someone grabbed you, he made sure they were all good and feisty. He supposed that would go the same for later on when they started dating.
Girls were still icky...besides his two sisters. At least Kina would help him out.
"Should we comb the beach and look for new treasure?"

Honi glanced at Kina with a grin before giggling at Thal. "Kina an' I have to be ready for anything!" she assured. "We'll definitely make sure they're good enough for our brother." While she wasn't yet entirely sure what those standard would exactly be, she was making sure she would be prepared for whatever Kina told her to watch for!
"Oh, yeah! I wanna build a sand castle, too!" she chirped excitedly, already shooting off for the door to head outside.

Kina wasn't going to let just anyone be with her siblings. Oh no. The family princess had very high standards. She fully expected Honi to get with a prince that loved her like a queen. And Thal would find a queen that loved him.
The beach was mentioned and before she would agree or disagree Honi said she wanted to make a sandcastle and out the door she went. Kina giggled and nodded her head. "To the beach we go! Honi wants a sandcastle and she'll get the best one ever." She reached over and grabbed her brother's hand so that they could follow their sister.

Well, this was the best, now that he had been as patient as possible, his sister was now dragging him out the door. It was a beautiful morning too, with the birdsong in full velour across the rich blue sky. He hummed pleased with himself. Another day filled with the best siblings ever. He couldn't imagine it ever changing. He also furtively hoped his sisters wouldn't auction him off to the coolest lady that they wanted to be sister in laws with. He wouldn't really put it past them to set him up one day. By accident~ Pfft.
He was a lone wolf. Free to follow the wind and well do what lone wolves did. He let Kina take him to wherever she wanted. He was along for the experience.

Honi spared only a quick glance over her shoulder to make sure her siblings were following, throwing them a pleased grin. A day at the beach! It wasn't exactly anything new for the trio, but Honi always enjoyed exploring the familiar grounds. Besides, something interesting would occasionally wash up on the shore. "My castle is gonna have three towers! One for each of us!"

She followed after Honi, smiling at her when she noticed her sister look back to check and make sure they were right behind her. Kina giggled again and tugged Thal closer so that she could pick up the pace some to close the small gap between them and Honi.
"I get the middle tower!" She called out. Kina liked being the center of attention so why not? But it also stood for her being the middle child. "We need to find the best shells to put with it."

"I'll take whichever is left after you chose Honi, I can't decide whether I like the beach or the forest more." He loved his home so much and couldn't imagine living in the north where Dad was fun, so cold and not green. Eeaaghh. No, much smarter of Dad to move to Matori eventually, the best place out there. Though it might be nice to visit that other place that Dad sometimes talked about. He wondered if he had convinced Mom to go exploring yet. Maybe they could ask their neighbors the two kahikinians that had moved up the beach.
He quickly scouted the tide line, dug a pit and rescued a little fish for his moat.
"I have a protector, who will protect your castles?" He hoped someone found an octopus, they were so weird and he would not mess with an octopus castle.

Counting on her siblings to find the accessories to make the castle fancy, Honi dropped and began working on building the sand up. Once she had a big enough pile, she could start shaping it and get the base ready to hold the towers! "I have a crab!" she announced firmly. "I already sent him ahead to scout the perimeter!" That was a good enough excuse for not actually having a crab on hand... but she wanted one! The building of the castle came first though, so perhaps she would find one later.

Her brother had a star and her sister had a crab. Kina chuckled and shook her head. Though that did leave her to wonder what she could have to defend her tower. She moved along and picked up seashells as she went. Only the ones on the surface, she didn't go digging for it. When she came across a piece of drift wood she paused then grinned. "I'll have a ballista to protect my tower." The small piece of wood was picked up and brought over so that it could be placed at the top of her middle tower when the time came.
"I have the shells too." She made a pile of them near Honi so that her sister could add them to wherever she thought they would look the best.
