Lynx seemed to show even more of a smile as he watched Maha. "You've had him that long?" It made him wonder just how old the beast was.
Looking down at Dem he chuckled. "I've never even seen a beast like him so I don't know what he is. Maybe I can get a beast from Matori to listen as good." Weren't there such things as beast tamers? It would be something interesting to be able to tame all the animals in the world.

She gave another whistle and Maha turned abruptly to leap into the air. The radaku did a flip and ended up racing back toward them at full speed. Dem watched him for a second before she gave the boy on her shoulders her attention again. "Maha is a radaku. His kind is from Jauhar but you can probably find a merchant that sells some in Oba markets." If the boy couldn't or didn't want to travel far then there were ways to get hold of things.
"I have a few different beasts that I travel around with but Maha is the one that refuses to leave my side." She laughed and looked back at her familiar as it drew close once more.

When the creature did a flip his eyes went wide with wonder and he perked up even more. Lynx was having so much fun. After meeting a pure alk and getting to ride on her shoulders he also got to see an incredible display by a beast. "A radaku huh? I'll have to ask my dad to get one for me!" Or maybe he should ask him mom. After all her dad was a merchant so he might know where to get one!

She felt slightly guilty that she'd gotten the boy to want something from his parents now but she didn't see any harm in it. If it was a really big deal she imagined that she would have some angry parents tacking her down asking 'why.' Dem chuckled again and stopped walking so that she could snap her fingers and pat her chest, a sign for Maha to come up and see her. "Here boy, come say hi to Lynx."

With the beast coming up on it's hind legs to meet him he leaned forward and down so that he could extend a hand down to pat Maha on the head. "Hi boy. You're super cool!" Lynx grinned at the creature as he offered up scritches.
"I will have a friend like you one day too!" He proclaimed.
