“I truly like helping people. That means a lot to hear you say that. Thank you.” Sterling wore a small smile, feeling warm at the compliment. “That sounds like a great plan. And we can arrange trips to our Wonders and figure out how to deal with…with these new lives of ours. Ah…” He gave a soft laugh, looking at his new friend and smiling.
“The good things that have come from this truly do seem to be out weighing the bad ones…I know that I sound like a broken record, but I’m very glad to have met you, Priam. I think that…our friendship will be a lasting one, again, if I may be so bold to say.”
After all, how could it be anything but? Forged in terror…and they were so alike. Both studious, both…Knights of Cosmos…
Destiny was a funny, fickle thing sometimes.

Priam nodded a bit and met Sterling's gaze again, this time offering a smile that actually seemed to be relieved. Tired, still, but more at peace than before. "I don't think that's bold. It's a comforting thought. That even in the darkest moment's, there's something good to take from it. If you are a broken record, than it's stuck on my favorite part of the song," he assured.
"Hearing it so many times helps it settle in, I think. I feel like I'm finally calming down. Like I can look at the bigger picture. Making plans, talking this out...having tea, exchanging phone numbers, talking about roommates and renovations...I like it. Ah," he sighed and looked at a clock. "...It's so late, Sterling. With everything we've seen already tonight, I'm a bit afraid to send you home alone. Would you like a ride back home when you finish your tea?"

Sterling smiled, looking pleased. “Yes, that would be wonderful…ah. Thank you. I’m finished, and I’m ready when you are, though, I don’t mind staying and talking. Especially if you’re lonely.
He was truly happy to see the smile on Priam’s face. Pleased that it reached his eyes. That it seemed to erase some of the sadness that was lingering there.
“Though, I also would rather not walk home alone, so whenever is best for you.” Sterling was excited to see him again, pleased for the friendship…and whatever future would come of this. Monsters or not…it hadn’t been all bad.
