Tameron just smiled as he led the way back towards the kitchen. They passed several corridors before he spoke again, "You always look so confused when you see me at your door, remember, I am your bodyguard as well as your friend, and I take my job very seriously. Your health and wellbeing is my charge. I would never be far from your side longer than I must."He fell silent as he opened the door to the dining hall and waited for the other to pass, before catching up to him. As the other sat down at the table, he rang the bell that summoned a servant to take the Prince's midday order. He fell at parade rest off to the side of the table so he could see what was going on. His eyes were rimmed with little dark circles, as was typical for him. He tended to sleep solidly only once or twice a week and contended with short rest periods every few hours throughout the week. He was nothing but entirely dedicated to the other, which made him such an invaluable bodyguard.

"...one of these days I will find you napping. I dont understand how you do it honestly...." He found himself telling the other has he began to lean back in the chair slightly. He could never understand or even fathom to the fact that the other actually slept because of how dark the circles were under his eyes. Hey figured that the other was making himself something so that he could stay awake but at the same time he began to grow a little bit more worried than normal over it. He looked up slowly as his food was brought out tomb thinking the servant as he saw note placed to the side of the plate as well with his mother's handwriting on it. Loretta rather loud groan as he grabbed up the note handing it to Thameron. "I thought I could get away from her today"

Tameron just shook his head; he wasn't that bad. He made sure to get enough sleep to be alert to any dangers or things the other needed. The other tended to get overly worried; besides, no one knew his real secret. So he just smiled at the other but frowned when the mood changed. "What is it, my Prince? I know that you always have off the seventh day of the week; it is tradition. Unless are your parents throwing another ball or something? I know that you are to help in those matters"He asked. He was not sure the other would answer, but sometimes he would, which Tameron could understand, him being a lowly guard and all. He could not be involved in everything that went on in the palace.

Theoden grumbled as as he crumpled up the letter as he started to shove food in his mouth. He turned when the other was speaking to him as he swallowed his mouth full. "She told me that starting tomorrow we will have some lovely young woman showing up to meet me. Seems there is a meeting with a few of the high houses. They were asked to bring their daughters for this.....uhg. Clingy females...just what I want or need" He sighed as he just wanted to crawl into a hole

Tameron hid a small smile at the prince's words. It was so like him. Just how he knew that sooner or later, his friend would have to bend. It was the way the world worked for them, after all. He had to carry on the bloodline, and that meant finding a nice young woman to be Queen, and why he might have concubines on the side, he still would need a queen and heir. "You know, if you just picked one, the balls and meetings would stop. You could have a nice young Queen to warm your bed at night and help run the kingdom. Meaning you could have more free time on the side; they are not all bad after all. I should know I grew up with three sisters, after all."He told him gently. He shifted some as his gaze roved the small room before returning to him. He gave an understanding but encouraging smile.

The young Prince could help but frown a little bit more at the mere idea that the other was trying to push him towards a female. It would be nice to have somebody warm his bed he thought but at the same time there was somebody in mind that he wanted. His eyes turned backup to his bodyguard that he has had for so long as he could see the faint glow that was around the other. It always made him calm and feel better whenever he was near the other. Tameron just rolled his eyes; the other could be so overdramatic at times. But, he was his friend after all. His eyes watched a few of the servants, lingering on one or two of them before looking back at the Prince.
"You know that would be impossible, not after the last diabolical that happened a hundred years ago. It would be easier if you just excepted your place and the way things are supposed to be
He said, unknowingly echoing the words he had been told by the Queen several times before. His place was the palace guard, and it was what he needed to remember unless he wanted to go on another "vacation." Tameron focused back on the present, hiding a shiver.
The only reason he was still allowed to watch the Prince was his skill, and as long as he kept things in the boundaries and guided him towards the correct paths, he could stay. This way, he could make sure that the other was safe.

Theoden shook his head as he pushed his empty things away as he stood up. He turned giving a small glare at the other, "You know as well as anyone that i will never be king because of this. Maybe I should have been the one to die when the heretics attacked and not my brother Teleji..."he said in a rather harshed tone as he moved past Tameron. At that moment he was not wanting to be around him. The words sounded too much of his mother and he HATED when the other spoke that way. He didn't look make to see if the other was even following as he made his way back down the hall towards the exit where the stables were.

Tameron flinched at the other's tone and watched the other storm off. He followed silently behind the other but kept space between them like the other desired. His heart throbbed, but he knew it needed to be said. He had not meant for it to come out as it did, but maybe it was for the best. He knew the Queen was getting rather impatient with her last remaining son. The other only thought he had any choice in the matter. The intention was an illusion, however, and one had to work with the hand they had. The best he could do was make sure he was there for him.
He waited until they reached the stables before moving in front and grabbing their saddles, carrying them to the stall where the horses were. He licked his lips as he made sure that everything checked out before saddling the Prince's horse, then moving to load his own."You know I did not mean it like that, I am sorry, just been under some stress lately. I know you miss Teleji, but the fact is with him gone, you are the rightful heir, you can not slack forever, and I am afraid of what may happen if you don't give in, at least a littleHe warned his friend gently as he led the horses out into the yard and collected his equipment while the other mounted.

Theoden just turned looking at the other waiting for his horse to be ready. When it was he jumped up petting at his mane slowly as he whispered to him like he normally does. He sighed some as he just shook his head. "Well the hand that i was dealt is from the wrong deck. Its from my brothers cards and not my own. I am not one to settle down.....he said. He waited until Tameron was done and mounted before he took off from the yard. He sped past the other and into the woods not really caring if he was going the right way or not at that moment.

 Tameron sighed with a heavy heart. He pulled himself up onto Wildfire and turned him to follow after the other. Normally he would rid up next to him, but he could tell the other would not have that at the moment. He knew he had hurt the other bad with his words. His hands tightened on the reins as he followed behind him, making sure to keep his distance. Letting the other have all the space he wanted. All he could do was hope the other would cool down in time.

After all, it would not be the first fight, nor the last battle they had had. Usually, it involved his mother or his brother. He wished that his older brother had not died. Then Theoden could have settled into the life of a second son. A spot where he could have become a consort, and they would have been happy. Something that seemed above both of them now. When Theoden officially became the heir, he joined the guards, intent on becoming the other's guard. So that at least in some way, they could be close.

That was when the troubles between them seemed to get more challenging, however. Tameron wondered how much longer their friendship could stand the strain. The Lady Mother's reconditioning vacations were not helping matters. What she ordered was made law. Even the Prince was nothing but a pawn in her game. He knew it was only a matter of time. She always won. Without meaning to, he became lost in thought at the idea of the other wedding someone else. He knew it would happen. Their bloodline had to continue, for the sake of their dynasty.

More than anything in the world he hated what was going on and he hated the fact that too was unable to do what he really truly wanted to do he new at this point he was not going to give in to his mother. In all honesty he would rather jump off of the closest cliff possible then find himself married to a female that he did not like. He already had the plan of keeping himself out so late that night that he would find a tavern in the nearest town to sleep in so that he wouldn't have to deal with it in the morning. He wanted nothing more than to not go home at that point " Just let you know there is no possible way that your going to get me to go back He called back to the other after a little bit of time

♣♣Tameron♣♣ Tameron took the opportunity to catch up with the other when he called back, he waited until he drew even before daring to speak. He could tell the other had yet to cool off, so he chose his words with care. He had a feeling the other might say something of the sort. He dreaded the fight that was most likely going to happen, but he was more afraid of the consequences if the other did not return as well.

He told the other hesitantly as he braced for the explosion likely to follow. He supposed he could always wait until the other was asleep and carry him back, but he would hate to breach the other's trust like that. Then he probably really would figure out he was putting something in his tea to help him sleep. He had the other best interest at heart.

Theoden shook his head. Hidden want anything to do with going home in frankly didn't care about his own consequences. He knew the consequences for the other would be rather horrible if he had returned home without the Prince or even worse returned the next morning with the Prince. He found him so groaning and grumbling but he just shook his head.
" My mother can shove her alliance and up her backside and marry a Prince herself. I will not marry princess and if I do I will look at her and tell her that she is free to be with whoever she wants and him signing the divorce papers the next day. I wish you would understand you have been around me for the past about what is it 14 or 20 years? You know from d***** fact I do not like females..... They are needy and whiny and always have to clean to somebody.
He ranted as he slowed his pace so the other could be next to him a little bit more

♣♣Tameron♣♣ Tameron checked his horse once he was beside him. He glanced at the other and shook his head, he could see the other was in the full-on stubborn mode which was just great for him...not. It would just make this day even longer than it already was. He slowed his horse to a stop when they came to a ridge looking at the village and the fields below.

He gave a slight bow to the other. He then tapped the side of his horse as he moved ahead so he could scout the trail into the village and make sure everything was as it should be. He swept his long hair back over his shoulder as he glanced closely at his surroundings and focused on the task at hand as they road closer to the village. As they came closer to Appleheller Village he could make out the vinyards and the small stone cottages that made up the majorty of the dwellings.
