He couldn't take it anymore, the air up here made him feel so alive. He had wanted someone to share this with for so long. He had wished for it almost every night in the desert. Now that she was here, specifically Nin, he was so happy. He was sure she wasn't out to crush his heart. As broken as it had been it had healed stronger. But one more rejection in his life and he was considering becoming a whore or a monk.
No one knew they were here, no one would interupt the days he would have with her while they explored their relationship.
He stood and crouched behind her covering her narrow shoulders with his broad ones, bringing his arms around her to hold her close to his heart. Which felt like embers set Aflame.
He tucked his head beside hers, her skin felt cool to the touch beside his warmer flesh. She was the serenity to his tempest. The softness that had always been missing. His goddess, his love, his everything. He lost himself in her.

She awoke the next morning, overly warm and content with Kiyelt's strong body wrapped around her, banishing the chill of any desert morning before it got anywhere near her. She felt cherished. She felt cared for. She felt like she had won the lottery.
Somehow the gods had seen it fit to give her this wonderful crazy man. She accepted. She could see herself by his side, laughing, happy. Dare she say maybe even a Mother, and he was the perfect partner career wise too, so experienced and everything.
She stroked his peaceful face as he snored queitly.

He had never felt so good. Comfortable and with the best company the world had to offer. Nin was so smart, and beautiful and kind, yet strong enough to do what needed to be done, no matter what the matter was she would be steady throughout even when tears lit his own eyes and poured down her face.
She was a rare creature indeed, the rarest catch and the most beautiful, he knew his own mother and father would heartily approve. And this way the legacy of her lost parents would live on, through her, and through her children. Hopefully his children if everything worked out, she would make a great mother.
He feigned more sleep and just basked in the day, a day not lonely.

Finally she blew on his face to try to get him awake. He just smiled beautifically, which made her snort at him. His face could be weaponized, his parents must be hot too, you didn't get rediculously handsome men from less than gorgeous parents. He wa so manly and yet acted in ways that made him seem more her age. He had never lost the boyishness but she felt that was more because he was a really smart man.
Fine, she snuggled back down into his body. She would enjoy this too.

His smile was enormous and he hoped she never felt the tears that trickled down his face. It wouldn't due to cry in front of her, even though they were definitely tears of joy.
He took deep breaths and pulled her in close, her body cradled by his yet again. He sighed at the same time she did and all was right in the word for him. Something it hadn't been in living memory.
If he could have purred he would have.
