Garret found the blue-haired girl a bit amusing with her cheerfulness and way of speaking. Especially in regards to her reaction of him agreeing to some kind of bet despite the young boy being against it as he thought it stressful. As Garret did silently agree with her that it would be hard to find a tea competition stressful; though that may be in part to his naturally competitive nature. Even if that had lessened a bit over time, it was still present. Though Garret was mostly amused at her saying he was a person who knew how to have fun, as he had not truly received such a comment in the past. 'But then she only knows me from here, so she does not know how I usually spend my time.' He thought to himself silently, content just to watch and listen for the time being as the boy spoke again. He would say how the basic challenge can be fun, and to ask for more is to never be satisfied. To which Garret paused in thought a moment...before deciding to comment on it. "Why should one be satisfied, when it is lack of satisfaction that pushes us to reach new limits?" He would ask seriously of the boy; mostly because he was still young, and to seek satisfaction so early could only stifle someone by making them complacent. In his mind at least. While Garret did understand enjoying the little things in life, he firmly believed one should always seek to challenge themselves further. As Smiles, a temporary nickname he had for Eszter, would say there was no point to betting now if Cecil would not enjoy it but perhaps for the future...he noticed her eyes rest on him last. He was curious as to why, but for now thought it only because he had consented to higher stakes. He was about to speak when the boy would say he would partake if she were that bothered, but at this Garret would shake his head. "Next time. Opportunities may be fleeting in life, so you should not be so quick to dismiss them. Take it as a lesson." Garret would say, a bit strictly, though did intend for a competition in future perhaps with Smiles. To him, Cecil was still young and needed to learn things should be thought out rather than answered in haste; at least, Garret took it as haste with how quickly he changed his mind. He also believed if you were to take a stance you should not fold so easily. So he hoped this would be a lesson the boy remembers.

As the boy asked if Garret knew what was occurring, he merely shook his head as he was uncertain. Eszter would then continue conversation by asking what they did. Garret let Cecil answer first; stating he was attending beacon and would become a huntsman like his father before him. Garret gave an analyzing look to the boy, more so than before, as if he were studying him. All that he had heard and seen of the boy before making Garret wonder if he was truly up to such a task. 'There are those who have had a harder journey to it, but will he be up to it in time?' He wondered to himself seriously. He let such thoughts fade for now though as he was up next. "I am a courier for Beacon academy, and a Grimm hunter outside of that." He would simply state, curious as to Smiles' and especially the boy's reaction. His gaze would turn now more so to Smiles, a silent look asking what she did. A little after she would respond, they would be rejoined by the hostess. She would apologize for the delay, and look between the three of them. Garret merely silently waved off the apology as he did not find it necessary. She would walk to the tea stand and back, with Garret noticing a pencil before him as Tigress handed each of them a folded card. Carefully opening it, Garret would find a list of names with a checkmark next to them. Scanning the list as she walked away and the sound of the tea kettle could be heard. 'Lets hope my luck lasts today.' He thought to himself with a slight smile, genuinely enjoying the chance for a casual competition. Or perhaps competitive, as the rounds progressed. Soon enough, the hostess would return with a tea tray and set one down in front of each of them before explaining the .competition 'Five rounds, five guesses, two minutes per guess; simple enough a contest, if perhaps more challenging and identifying things.' He thought to himself. As she would say begin and start a timer, after she had set Cecil's tea down, Garret would make one comment. "May this be a close competition." He would simply say, before going to drink some of his tea in a calm manner. He would take a few sips of it, trying to hone his senses to pick out the individual tastes though it was admittedly not an easy task. Still, he did identify three ingredients which he marked down; Passion fruit, Green tea, and papaya. 'It seems this may be as challenging as I thought...' He thought silently, though did not let it dampen his spirits.

User Image Eszter listened to the two men, or at least one man and one still in the making. Cecil seemed to be one with an old spirit, which almost caused her to chuckle out loud. In a way, it was like witnessing Garret, or so the Garret she had dealt with many years ago. Had the hardships of life molded the man she had known as a child into one with more joy for life? Sure his competitive nature was still intact. Or had she just see things through the lens of a child, unaware of the truth behind people’s beings? Analyzing the past had no place here.

”I am not that bothered. It was just for fun anyways. Trust me, you’d know if I was upset,” she commented with a wink as it seemd Garret too agreed on the bet not being necessary. ”I have to admit though, this one over here.” she continued as she pointed casually at Garret as if he wasn’t there. ”Does make a point. Satisifaction can be a bad thing. But so can ambition. All in balance and proper order is the best way to approach life. Or so is my philosophy.” Philosophy over tea did seem like a nice topic to pass the time, but it would depend on if they decided to give more feedback. For as far as she knew, they would prefer to sip their tea and think in silence. However, there was still a bit of time before it started as the hostess had yet to return.

”Ooooh a future huntsman.” She uttered as she leaned her head onto her palm looking at Cecil. ”Aurtrox will make a man of you yet. Or if not him the other teachers for sure.” Eszter dropped Aurtrox’s name as a bomb on purpose. Something to catch Garret’s attention for the way she spoke made it clear she knew the man at a personal level. ”You help Beacon but are not a certified huntsman?” She shifted her attention again to Garret having heard his answer. Hunstman usually labeled themselves as such but he did not.

An answer would have to wait if one were to come as Yukiko arrived. Her attention shifted to that of the competition. In silence, she listened to the words and would get her “game” face on. Calmly she picked up the teacup as if it were created of the most delicate material, her lips slowly bringing themselves to the rim, her breath blowing out slowly onto the surface of the warm liquid before taking a sip. She would repeat the process various times. Her eyes were closed to help her focus. The mixture had green tea for sure. Eszter had no doubt about that. Its unique flavoring was obvious to her palate. There were also hints of fruity, perhaps of the citrus family and or tropical fruits.

Opening her eyes she would write down her guess. She was almost positive she knew what it was, but yet she was still hesitant. There was something in there that was throwing her off. She was indecisive between two teas. Knowing time was running out she went with the one that was at the tip of her tongue. Tropical Kiss. The name of the tea or so what she knew it as. Still, she had to list the flavor. Green tea. Passion fruit. Durian. Hopefully, she would be right. Not only that but didn't miss an ingredient.

Cecil listened to the area around him as he closed his eyes to take in the information from other people speaking. He looked to Garret who told him asked him about why one should feel satisfied, causing him to bring his right hand to his chin. "I-I see...." He commented, he was still young so he didn't have much experience on the feeling of satisfaction as he sighed and rubbed his forehead as he looked to Eszter as she spoke. "I see, Ambitions are something to be feared at times." He stated calmly before he looked to Garret on his comment with Cecil's agreeing on the bet before he sighed and soon spoke. "I see.... very well then." He told him calmly before the female slowly came back out with their tea trays. He listened to Garret admit to being the courier as he looked at him. "You're the one who brings our messages to family?" He asked of him with wide eyes before looking to Eszter. "I don't think Aurtrux will help with that." He stated as he chuckled a bit. It was interesting to be with such strange people before he look to the tray as Yukiko set his before him. He heard the word begin and sighed a bit before he took the first cup and took a small sip, letting his tongue do the work of tasting for flavors and identifying the drink.

(Rolled))
'Hm........ this flavor it's...... hrrk?!' He came to a realization, he couldn't tell what kind of tea this was, it tasted like.... He didn't know. It reminded him of tropical punch but he couldn't figure it out as he frowned and set the cup down as he began to write down his answer. Sadly, he had to give his guess and out of the five teas listed, he wrote down Tropical escape as he sighed and didn't know much about the ingredients to the type of tea bag.

The tiger hostess had given each of them plenty of time as she would watch the timer before clicking it off with 5 seconds to spare. "Time's up," Yukiko said warmly. With everyone's cards filled out, she would walk over and collect the cards, placing them on the podium. On her way back to the table, she would collect as well as the empty cups to be dealt with after; they would be carefully placed in a plastic basket. 'That should do,' The tigress thought.

Returning to the podium, she would look them over and smile.
"And winner of the first round, goes to Eszter who was the closest. Passion Fruit Papaya was the answer. And I wish you luck on round two," Yuki told them all, marking down Eszter's point on the chart in her book before going to make the second tea. She loved the refreshing scents. Getting to 200's in heat, she would then steep the teas for 6 minutes before setting them before each contest once again, passing out a new card for each. When Cecil got his note card, she would smile. "Please begin," Ms. Tora said again, starting her timer once more for two minutes as she walked back over to the podium to wait.

Garret had been musing on the questions and remarks of the two competitors with him long after he had given it his best guess for the tea. While he could not answer them at the time, having to devote his focus to the hostess and tea subsequently as the competition began, it was not something that had left his mind entirely. There were a few things he had noted that held interest; be it to speak of once a break occurred or just to think to himself. The first and foremost was Smiles' comment about balance. There was wisdom could see in that; rarely were extremes ever good, even if he personally felt ambition was a good thing in general. He had not missed her referring to him as if he were not part of the conversation though; he was just unsure why she had done so. 'It does not seem to hold ill intent...but I cannot think of a reason for why.' He silently thought, a bit confused except perhaps for how serious he may've seemed. But even then he was unsure. The boy had added on after that it can be something to be feared; another valid statement, though Garret was not sure what to say in that regards. He may've not phrased it the best when it was in regards to the boys original comment more so than a general statement. Another thing of note had been how Smiles had mentioned Aurtrox and teachers almost as if they were familiar to her in making the boy a huntsman; while Aurtrox was well known publicly, this seemed much more than that. 'How did she know the man?' He wondered to himself silently. Aurtrox knew a great many people, but Garret felt there were fewer that actually knew him. It was around this time Garret would've been broken from his internal musings by the timer being set off and Tigress collecting their answers; regrettably, Garret was not sure he would be starting this competition off on the best foot. It would be confirmed as she would soon announce Smiles had won the wound. 'This just means I shall have to strive to do better.' He thought to himself silently; how he could do so or prepare he was unsure.

Since they had a little time before the next teas would be ready though, he would drift back into internal thoughts briefly. Mostly on what was said last. The boy asking if he was the one who delivered letters to their families and Smiles asking if he was a huntsman or not. Looking to the boy, he would speak. "It is part of my tasks to deliver letters every now and then for the school when I am not hunting Grimm. " He would say to answer the boy first before eyes focused on Smiles. "I never attended beacon for I did not arrive in Vale until well after the age of being able to attend it. I learned how to fight Grimm from my time beyond Vale's wall; it is a necessary task to thin their numbers, huntsman or no. You don't need to be a huntsman to know how to fight them and do it well." He would say, sounding fairly confident and serious when it came to the Grimm. In his mind, everyone should have training to fight off Grimm; whether they intend to or not. He would pause a moment, eyes still on Smiles, before continuing. "How do you know the headmaster by the way? You sounded familiar with him." He would ask curiously; unsure if she would elaborate on it or no. Aurtrox had...impacts on others lives, to put it mildly. And Aurtrox being a man of many secrets always left Garret curious of what others may know or think of him. His eyes would then turn to the boy. "Why do you desire to be a huntsman, if I may ask? I know you mentioned your father was one, but I am more curious as to your motivation." He would ask curiously again, since they both asked him a question; in a way seeming like an equal trade to Garret. He would await a response from both of them though would not have time to answer himself as it seemed the next round was about to begin.

As the tea and note card were set down, Garret cleared any distractions from his mind for the moment. He needed to focus if he wanted to win. If he couldn't guess the tea, he at least needed to guess as many pieces as possible to try and win in that regard. 'Still your mind.' He thought to himself silently; the opposite of what he would usually do in a competition as he usually had waves of energy. Slowly, his mind would respond though. Reaching for the tea as the timer begun he would use all of his senses to try and guess; save touch cause he did not need to dirty the tea nor burn his finger. Nor could he use his hearing to determine what was in the tea. Wafting it under his nose, he would notice a variety of aromas to it; reasoning there was a good degree of distinct flavors perhaps inside as he could only guess now. Looking to it, it seemed to be a faded straw color. It felt familiar, but he was not sure why yet. 'Only one thing left to do then.' He thought to himself as he would calmly take a deep sip of it after blowing on it softly; taking small pauses between them due to the heat and to try and rest the flavor against his tongue. While the first flavor he had a fairly confident guess of what it was, the second was a bit more elusive as an after taste. No matter how he tried, he could not have it last enough to fully recognize. 'There is peppermint here...but what else...' He would think to himself, jotting it down as he let out a soft sigh; reminding himself to remain calm and focus as he continued to drink the tea and try to suss out its final flavor, and by extension, it's identity. The frustrating part is that it tasted faimiliar, but he could not put a name to it.

Eszter smiled when it was revealed she won the first round, but she soon ended up shrugging faking a disappointed grimace. ”Now if only we had been betting… guess gambling isn’t for me,” she teased playfully as if speaking to herself but clearly it was for the other two to hear as if they had gotten lucky no gambling had occurred. Garret was quick to continue on with the conversation from before the first round. She did not pay too much attention to what was being said until she was asked an interesting question.

Sitting up in her sit she perked up, her attention drawn towards Garret again. ”Quite simple really. I went to Beacon.” The blue-haired woman was well aware that her answer did lack details, but it was the truth. However, Aurtrox was not always so involved in the lives of his students and she spoke of him in a much more familiar manner than most students had a way of speaking when it came to their headmaster. She also knew this was bound to catch the attention of both males, especially the huntsman in training, more specifically why she was not a huntress if she had attended Beacon.

More questions about her life at beacon would have to wait as the hostess arrived with the second round. However was this not the fun part? Getting people’s curiosity and expectations up?

Bringing the cup to her lips she took in a sip and froze, her eyes opened up wide as she slowly let the extremely hot liquid fall back down into the cup. ”... Tis… hot…” She could feel her tongue begin to react from the burn, and she hoped it would not affect her ability to taste the tea properly. Blowing on the tea she gave it a few more seconds before taking in another sip. Hmmm its very refreshing. Typical for a ment tea but I can’t for the life of me tell which one… and… is… is there a hint of tang? Despite being considerably unsure of what she was tasting, she wrote done her answer with confidence, her game face as on, she didn’t need them to know she was probably going to lose. Her first victory was earned and not a flunk!

Cecil sighed as he hadn't gotten anywhere close to the guess but resolved himself to get the next teas right as much as he possibly could. While during the inbetween parts for the Tigress to be the hostess of the show, Cecil looked to Garret as he spoke and smiled a bit. "I see, well if that is the case then I appreciate your work on delivering the letters. If you've seen my father named Sigrun Roydon on your travels, tell him his son needs to talk to him." He asked to pass on a verbal message since this man wasn't personally tied to the school as he spoke about the fact he never attended Beacon and that his skills were from another place. The words he said did cause Cecil to ponder as this man lacked a Huntsman lisence or rather... he had his own credentials to kill grimm safely. The female had revealed that she had attended Beacon, or rather.... went to Beacon.... having been vague on her response caused him to narrow his eyes at her. 'Vagueness isn't really being helpful for ansers, despite everything...' He thought to himself before he was poised another question.

The second round was about to begin so Cecil had little time to come up with an answer and the question was alot harder to give a straightforward answer than he had thought. He was given his rather hot cup of tea and his eyes looked worried upon it, causing him to look to the two before he reached a shaky hand out and took a deep breath. He didn't use his semblance as he leaned in and took a quick sip. The heat was alot more intense than he had anticipated but he had to shake it off, cooling his insides was definitely a bit of a hard thing to do with the hot to warm liquid running down his throat. The scent itself was rather fragrant, moreso than usual as he marked it down in his notes, he couldn't guess much of the ingredients but noted a rather lemon-like taste to it so he wrote down peels of a lemon at least but couldn't guess what type of mint the flavoring had so he wrote.... mint?

Yukiko smiled as she would collect the ballots and cups once again; taking the cups to the basket carefully putting them away. Then going over them swiftly and recording them on a sheet at the podium, she woman smile and announce the winner. "Closest and winner of Round 2, Garret. The answer was Citrus Mint," Yukiko said. 'How intriguing,' The tigress thought to herself as she went to prepare the next batch of tea which would steep for six minutes, before she would take the cups over like before. Placing a cup and ballot before each contestant. "Good luck," Yuki told each of them. "Begin Round 3," Ms. Tora instructed once more pressing the button on the timer.

Hearing Smiles' jest of gambling not being useless to her and the fake disappointment had left an amused smile on Garret's face; it keeping things at least a bit more entertaining and lightening the serious mood of competition. To his explanation shortly after, he would be asked a request by the boy; to tell his father Sigrun Roydon that he needed to talk to him. Garret seemed to ponder it a moment before responding. "No need for thanks; it is just the task I do for the school. But if I happen to run into him, I shall pass on the message." Garret would simply respond; liking the appreciation but also just explaining it was part of his tasks and he would aid the boy if able. He couldn't quite recall where his father was last; he may have to check that later. And it was simple enough of a message to deliver that he saw no bother in it. It seemed, as he continued speaking, that Smiles' desired to be vague on matters. She had sat up, seeming to perhaps perk up, at his questioning of how she knew Aurtrox and with a smile merely said she attended Beacon. Garret was unsure how to read Smiles; she seemed to be hinting at more yet gave little. And seeming content to do that with their limited time to speak between rounds, as the Tigress was soon to return. It was a shame there was no time for the boy to answer why he desired to be a huntsman, but Garret could always find out once the round was over. As for Smiles he would press further soon enough; whether it be by her intention or no, his curiosity was piqued.

As the first round ended and their answers were taken, Garret would watch intently and remain silent for the moment. Knowing there was usually an intermission for the tea to be prepared and palate cleansed so it did not interfere with the next rounds tasting. He could ask any questions he still had then, and perhaps receive more answers. Soon enough, a winner would be announced; surprisingly, to Garret, he had won the round. Naming the tea as Citrus Mint. 'Of course, that was the flavor.' He thought to himself silently, thinking back on the taste. Why the word had eluded him when it was so simple and common he could not attest; save perhaps the pressure of competition, despite his best efforts to remain clam. Or perhaps just forgetfulness, which he hoped would not be a habit. What surprised him still though was that he had succeeded; it seemed this tea had confused most of them despite it seeming to be simple. 'Deceptively so it seems.' He thought to himself silently as the next batch of tea would be prepared and his eyes move to the other two. "It seems we are tied for the moment Smiles. Lets see if either of us take the lead, or if the boy here can make it a three way tie." He would say, a bit of a challenge in his voice as the excitement of competition crept up on him. Revealing his own nickname for the two of them at this stage as he could not think of better ones for either of them. Growing a tad bit more serious, he would look now more so to Smiles. "While you did say you knew Aurtrox because you attended, you made it sound as if you knew him on a much closer level than merely principal and student. Or was I misinterpreting that?" He would ask of her, but decided to play things his own way a bit and not directly ask for her to speak the story. Only if he had heard right or wrong in this instance. He wanted to see how she would react and how much she would reveal with it; her personality, from the little he could tell, seemed playful enough that she could be messing with the pair.

While able to hear their responses, and drink a little to cleanse his mouth of any after tastes, Garret would have no real time to ask anything further or respond as the Tigress would return with the new tea. With this being round three of give total, it was still anyone's game of who could win. There was even possibility of a tie, which the young huntsman-in-training could also achieve if his luck changed. Or even the possibility of winning if he happened to know the next three teas better than the prior two. It made Garret smile internally as the competition was in no way won or set in stone yet. Taking a deep inhale followed by a slow exhale, Garret would begin to try and identify the tea. As he tasted the tea, enjoying its blend of flavors, he could immediately tell it was much more complex than the last one. Rather than being two main ingredients, there seemed to be a wide mix that blended together. Taking a moment to let it sit before swallowing, he would then let the steam and scent lightly waft so he could try his hand at identifying it by smell. It unfortunately proved equally difficult. 'Time to try my best I suppose.' He thought to himself; so far never having that Ah-ha moment, but winning a round nonetheless. He could tell there was pineapple, peach, and passionfruit in the cup. But he could not identify the rest of it. Writing his answers down, he would continue to think and ponder; only able to identify cranberry as well before the time ran out.

Eszter did her best to pretend the burn on her tongue was not as serious as it truly was. She was unsure if it hurt or was numb. Could both be possible? She gave Garret a sheepish nod of the head at his victory. "Seems... I have met my match?" She jested trying to keep the mood positive, for various reasons.

As expected Garret pursued what she meant earlier. Her eyes slowly shifted in their sockets towards him, her face expressing a very clear sign that she expected such a question. In other words, his reaction had been one she had expected and baited. Who was falling for who now? (not in the romantic way of course). This was a simple game of intellectual cat and mouse.

Lightly she shrugged her shoulders making what she said next as something unimportant, as if it were a very normal thing, but she knew that it wasn't. Aurtrox did not always get so involved with his students like he had with her.

"Very simple really. He trained me personally in using my semblance." Once again she answered her question but left a lot more questions in its place. For Autrox to show such interest in a semblance was no laughing matter.

Fortunately the next round begun and more questions would have to wait.

"Best of luck Cecil. Let us at least not let Garret win."

Eszter teased taking a sip but the liquid stung her earlier wound. She couldn't tell what the flavors were. Had she fried all her tastebuds? Knowing that her sense of taste wasn't going to get her anywhere she observed the color of the liquid. Judging by its warm red hues she guessed it was a berry blend of sorts? She doubted it would be orange again. Not knowing the answer for sure she took a guess at wild berries.

Cecil smiled at Garret's response and nodded his head as they had begun to resume the task at hand for the tea tasting. He mentally cursed as he had failed in the next taste and he was hoping to pull out the big one as his tea was taken away. He took a sip of the cold water, swishing it in his mouth and swallowing it to help cleanse his pallate while he listened to Garret and Ezster speak to one another as if he was not here. He realized he had time to answer before he looked to Garret and smiled at him. "I wish to become a huntsman now in order to protect what's important to me." Then Eszter spoke to him about wishing him luck, causing him to smile and nod his head as he closed his eyes, taking the cup and taking a nice sip, getting as much into his mouth for the moment to let his tongue taste the flavors of it as best as he could.

Upon the first initial taste, he could get the mixed flavor of a tropical treat. It delighted him with a smile as he wrote doen Tropical in taste on the ballot's note part. He couldn't really write down the name though, so he had to guess the ingrediants as he began to write down at least pineapple, as it was the main sweet flavor he could taste in this tropical blend. Yet he was stumped while guessing the other fruits.

Yukiko would collect the ballots and the cups once more. Putting the dirty ones away and getting clean ones for the new tea. While it steeped, she would go and read the ballots. "Ooh, this was a close one. But, the winner of Round 3 and still lead; Garret. The answer was Tropical Escape," Yukiko announced happily before she would walk over with fresh ballots and pass them out to each contestant. ',Hm, well, this is getting close to the end,' The tigress thought as she passed them out. Once that was done, she would walk back over to the tea and place them on a tray. Gracefully walking over to the contestant table and passing each one to them. "I wish you all the best of luck," Yuki told them before walking over to the podium once again. "Begin Round 4," Ms. Tora told them and started the timer.

And thus their answers would be collected and submitted; the anticipation to see how the future would go and how the odds of victory determined with one key word. And it seems he was fortunate enough to have hit the mark of the tea in question. Smiles' seemed a good competitor, at the very least. Her comment of meeting her match at his own victory was nice to hear, though the rest of the trials would determine if such things were true. He would only give a small smile to her in return for it; it not seeming like a question that needed words in his mind to respond. As he asked a question, he could tell fairly quickly it was a trap in a way; such was a little expected given her hinting at things rather than going on immediately. 'She must enjoy stretching it out.' He thought to himself silently. She would then shrug her shoulders; but her words didn't match with such an action. She seemed to try and make it casual that she knew Aurtrox personally for her trained her in using her semblance. Something that very few students could attest to; nowadays especially. It seemed that was all she would be willing to give up for the moment as well; he wondered what her end goal was, in stretching out the information and trying to get him to continue to pursue it. There was little he could do in that regard but continue to question and pursue; his next objective, amidst this competition, would be to figure out what the right question(s) are.

During this time, Garret had not been ignoring the boy either. He would give him a simple answer; to become one to protect what was important to him. Garret would take a long drink of his water as he thought over such reasoning. It was a fairly sound one, in these times especially. Though he wondered if the boy truly knew the extent and sacrifice a huntsman had to make. It would be something to perhaps speak of once the next round had come and gone at least. And it was enough to garner some respect from Garret; given the noble reason of him pursuing such a profession. Though he would be broken from such thoughts by Smiles would speak of good fortune to herself and Cecil to best Garret. To which Garret gave a challenging smile to such a thing but chose to remain silent. 'The more things are stacked against me, the harder I shall strive for victory.' He thought to himself in a rather positive light. He loved competition after all.

Smiling slightly in confidence, but knowing things were far from over, he would await the start of the next round by calming himself yet again and trying to remove any would-be distractions from the mix. Picking up the tea, he would take a sip. Unfortunately, all the calm in the world could not compensate lack of experience. This tea was of a variety he was unfamiliar with; not being one he would get, it seemed. But he still tried his best nonetheless. Writing down hibiscus as one he could identify though the other two he was uncertain on and spent quite some time trying to figure them out and give his best guess. He only hoped it was enough; though if it was not, it would be interesting to see how the competition would continue.

Once mostly satisfied, he would look towards the other contestants while awaiting results and the next round, if there was any. He would first look to the boy, deciding to make Smiles wait a little if that was what she wanted to do with hinting with him, as he asked a simple question of him. "Are you willing to risk your own life to protect those you care for, and then some? The life of a huntsman is not so simple; the people as a whole come first, and individuals second. You may have to make choices that have no right solution to them." He would say, growing a bit more serious as he spoke though not intense or anything. Just a calm matter of fact kind of tone as he knew the cost of such lives. After the boy answered, his eyes would turn to that of Smiles. For some reason feeling yet another pang of familiarity though unsure why. "If I may inquire, why did he train you personally for your semblance; and I suppose, by extension, what is your semblance? Most of the staff there are quite skilled and knowledgeable; and Aurtrox, with his own methods, rarely takes on students for a more personal kind of training." Garret would inquire with a slight tilt of his head in curiosity; face betraying nothing more but he was feeling a bit of anticipation as to how this line of questioning would go. And what may be asked of him in return.

As their Hostess announced Garret’s second win, getting him into the lead, Eszter raised her hands and slowly clapped at the fact. However the glace in her eyes clearly defied his victory, a victory he was not going to hold for very long, or so she teased. What was the fun in competition with… well no competitive spirit? Her tongue although still throbbing a little from the burn was feeling better, she was confident she would be able to taste the next tea properly.

Since Garret focused his attention on the third contestant she remained silent for a bit but interrupted as he began to carry on. ”Shhh…. let him enjoy his dreams. Besides it's the teachers’ jobs at Beacon to tell or rather show him the reality of things. How about we just enjoy this competition. No need to tense up the mood.” Her voice was calm, and while she was in a way criticizing Garret she spoke in a manner that acknowledged the truth in his words. That seemed to only bring the conversation back to her. A grin parted her lips at his curiosity. ”That’s a question you would have to ask Aurtrox. I wouldn’t know how to answer. Other teachers were surely capable of helping me but he decided to be the one.” she shrugged as she answered. While she had an idea as to why, she didn’t want to claim it as truth. Aurtrox wasn’t always open with his reasonings.

”I would explain my semblance, but it is a little tricky. But to put simply, I am able to create and control what I call spirit totems,” as she spoke energy flowed next to her and a totem looking bird appeared, but only for a brief second before it vanished. She understandably did not want to explain her semblance in detail, some things were best-left secret, after all, one never knew who your enemy would be.

Their Hostess arriving with the new patch couldn’t have come better timed, for it would keep her from delving deeper into her semblance. The scent of the tea hit her with a wave of memory. Of all the teas, she had brought out her favorite. One she associated with her family as it was her parents favorite tea, and consequently became one of her own. She almost didn’t have to taste it to know what it was, but to ensure she was being thrown any surprises she brought it to her lips, silently and happily drinking it all, every bud on her tongue enjoying the sweet and sour game the liquid played.

Only once her cup was empty would she write down her answer: Organic Passion

Cecil was prepared for the next tea as his eyes narrowed, he had lost the last one just by a narrow margin and he still had no points! If he couldn't earn these tickets he'd have to take Azura someplace else! He lowered his head as he had to focus, shaking his head before he was given the next tea and looked to the Garret as he heard the next question before the next round started. Cecil swallowed hard and down the drink quickly, leaves and all! Sadly though.....the leaves and water did not leave a good taste in Cecil's mouth as he coughed a bit. But when it came to the pad to write out the answer, Cecil just couldn't think straight as he wrote down that he had no clue as to the name nor ingredients of the tea. He sighed and leaned back, as he wasn't that trained in the knowledge of tea but Garret's question bugged him as he had to think. 'Am I really ready to risk it all for that?' He thought as he looked up to the roof of the stage, upset with himself before he could see the visage of Azura's smile.

With that image before him, he smiled back as the other words of Eszter also danced around, but not as effectively before Cecil turned to look at Garret when their pads were taken and the teas removed. Cecil dropped the temperature around him slightly as he spoke. "That is true, and even if I had to make a tough choice with no right answer....I'll do so with no guilt as that is what I believe to be the right path as a huntsman." He responded, Adam having rubbed off on him but his father's ideals had ingrained itself inside of his mentality.
