“Mmmhmm.” Tryston let out a faint ‘pfft’ before he stood as well and placed his flask back into his satchel. “Thank you.” He finally commented after Zyphire finished talking, “I’ll be facing it soon enough.” It would only take about four days to make it to that village. He just hoped that he would be ready and that his fading hope would be enough to prove his worries wrong. How much bread would it take to cure heartache? He hoped he wouldn’t have to find out anytime soon.

“Good.” Zyphire patted Tryston on the back before gesturing back towards the path, “Let’s finish our walk and then maybe cross blades? If the kids don’t grab you today I would love a rematch. It’s been quite a while since we got a good fight in for ourselves.” A few years ago they used to cross swords all the time after all. Now that Tryston had stopped by for a visit Zyphire hadn’t gotten the true chance to test their skills against each other. He was definitely eager to try out his luck against the seasoned warrior. After all despite his joking around and mischievous habits the shifter was quite the fighter as well.

“Sounds good.” Tryston smiled towards Zyphire, “I’ll gladly fight you.” Despite their differences, Tryston did recognize Zyphire as a strong fighter and looked forward to the challenge. The Shifter was lithe and quick on his feet while using precision in every strike. It would be a promising fight indeed. Perhaps it could also take his mind off of his worries for a little bit and give him the energy he needed to push forward and face his worries. One could only hope after all.

Zyphire grinned, “Then let’s go!” The Shifter winked before darting up the path that led back towards the fields and then to the courtyard, “I could use the exercise. I just hope you haven’t gotten too lazy since we last fought!” He knew that Tryston could use a distraction and really hoped the best for his friend. If a fight was what the ice warrior needed then he would give him a fight for sure. That and bread. Bread was always good, right?

Tryston could only shake his head, faint amusement showing in his laughter as he started back up the trail after Zyphire. They could duel and then he could spend the rest of the morning making certain his supplies were packed for his journey into Tale. If the teens wanted training then he would train them and spend the rest of the afternoon saying his farewells to everyone in the family. Hopefully this time when he left it wouldn’t take another three years before he got the chance to visit them all again. He truly had missed all of this, even Zyphire.
