Xenia reached her hands up and carefully picked the glasses off of her face. For a moment she studied them as a thinking over her decision before even acting on it and handed them to Reina. “You can look at them if you want just be really careful the glass is fragile. Each pair are made specifically for the wear so even the ones that my dad has are completely different than what I have.”
Xenia wasn’t really sure what to think of the local cuisine. Everything had a little too much spice at least for her pallet and she was starting to wonder if maybe the food she’s grown up on wasn’t just bland in comparison.Is good is this food smelled it also made her wonder if maybe it wasn’t going to be a little too much for her.
"So What should I get? What’s really good here?”

"Oooh that's so strange." Reina peered through the glasses before handing them back towards Xenia carefully. She definitely didn't want to hurt the special glasses that had been crafted just for Xenia! She couldn't help but to blink a few times as her vision adjusted to being normal again, "That's definitely blurry." She offered sheepishly, "Is that how things are without them for you?" It was so strange that she couldn't see through them but Xenia couldn't see without them. It was almost like magic in a sense.
As they approached the vendor Reina grinned, "If you like sweets then you should try the rolls! They're covered in cinnamon and sugar." After handing one of the few coins that her mother had given her to the vendor Reina took a bun and popped it into her mouth. It almost melted in her mouth and she couldn't help but to let out a happy hum as she started chewing on the sweet bread. This was definitely her favorite! She carefully handed the second bun towards Xenia, eager to see her reaction to the sweet treat. Hopefully she liked it as well! Maybe if she liked it then that definitely would mean that Reina's family would like some. I should get them some and bring them back with me! She grinned at the thought before glancing back to Xenia, "What do you think?"

Xenia took her glasses back with a little smile. She couldn’t imagine what it felt like wearing another’s glasses mostly because she’s been taught from a young age not to touch those sorts of things less she make her eyesight worse. Still it was amusing to see it happen. “ sometimes yeah things can get really fuzzy from time to time but I’m never truly without sight.
Still a little unsure of the local fair, she took a chance and took the offer done. What was the worst that could happen? If anything she wouldn’t like it and she would just have to fake it for the child. In all actuality seeing how much Reina enjoyed it made Xenia really excited to try it herself. She took a little bite almost cautiously And when the full affect of the flavor hit her she moaned a little. “ this is really really really good! I’m so glad that you brought me here I’m definitely going to have to tell my father about this.“

Reina beamed happily at Xenia's reaction to the sweet bun, "Right? They're so good! It's my favorite and I'm so glad you like it!" It was the best feeling in the world to be able to share her favorite sweet with a new friend. Reina really hoped that in the future they could meet again and maybe share even more of the sweet buns!
As they finished eating their snacks the youngling noticed the sun was already getting lower in the sky, "Oh! I'm so sorry but I think I really have to run soon. I know the main square is nearby so I should be fine." She could probably see her parents soon enough if she hurried! Reina paused before she started away from Xenia, "It was really nice meeting you Xenia. I hope you enjoy the rest of you time in the city." She beamed towards the Yaeli girl before ordering another bag of buns and dashing along. She couldn't wait to share these and the story about her new friend with her family!

"Oh, alright then, if you're sure." Xenia almost went after her anyway, just to be safe, but thought better of it. Clearly Reina knew the streets better than she did and if her parents were already aware of her being out then what was the harm in letting her return on time?
"Be careful! Make sure you only talk to your parents!" She held up her hand, trying to make her voice as loud as possible so the retreating child could hear. "And don't eat too many sweets, you'll get sick!" And then, just like that, Reina was gone. Xenia leaned back on her heels with a soft smile. She really was just like a little Alfina. Looking back towards the sweets shop Xenia knew she would have to get some to bring home just for the twins. For now, however, she could get some extras for Papa and call it a day.
