His older sister Autumn was the one who found the facebook channels, all of them, and started to purchase things from the company. From her it had spread even to his older brother. At any given time at least one person was watching Sew Sweet Minky and was looking to perhaps purchase something from the company.

Tonight he was walking around the house, getting himself a drink and food, while watching the channel on his phone. Stocking and scarves were being sold, one than the other, by the same seller. He could hear the same show, the same female voice, from elsewhere in the house. With both of his sisters and his brother home he didn’t know who else was watching, though he could easily find out, Larkin moved about before settling himself in the little breakfast nook to eat. Bringing his socked feet up under himself he watched the storm rolling in, listening to the thunder and watching the flashes of lightning in the distance.

When he heard footsteps on the stairs, and that same female voice, he turned to look at whoever was heading down the stairs. Autumn - of course. “Hey, watching also?” He questioned, even if it was obvious. “I haven’t seen you in the chat yet, are you looking for something in particular?” Figuring that might be why his sister hadn’t spoken up much less bought something from the show. He’d already bought three stockings, and they were buy one get one free. He still had at least one more to get, though he had a feeling he’d get more than that.

Shaking his head, and laughing, at her response he ducked his head as she walked by him- aiming to ruffle his hair. “You know you’re evil right? You got us all into this stuff.” Shaking his head, teasing smile in place, Larkin had no issue teasing his elder sister.

While his sister had gotten them all into sew sweet minky he was purchasing almost more than her, it was like he needed to fit in and join in and have his siblings like what he got, approve of it, and maybe even wish they’d gotten the same items. He knew the behavior, he knew himself well enough, but that didn’t mean it was easy to curb - it wasn’t. He didn’t even try most of the time to fight it, like now, as he looked down at his phone just in time to type a ‘sold’ followed by a number.

Looking up at his sister's question he nodded his head. “Yeah. I had to get one more.” At least one more, though he didn’t say that last bit. He also didn’t mention that he was going to be getting scarves later, in the next show, some were for himself but most would be for family members for Christmas gifts. He had it all planned out in his head, some also would be gifts for Halloween.

“You know….I gotta go help out at the animal shelter this weekend, since I have off.” When his sister asked why he explained, rather briefly, about the wish he’d taken from the wishing tree. “Want to come with? Or you think someone else might want to come with me?” He was a bit hopeful, though he did his best to keep that out of his voice.

“Mmm, I’ll ask her later. I think she’s up in her room doing something.” What his younger sister was doing he wasn’t sure but he’d ask her for help. He did want to grant the person their wish, it was a good one.

As his sister sat across from him he couldn’t help but smile as he teased her gently, she was now buying something on the site. “You really are evil.” As thunder rolled, louder than before, and shook the windows he smiled even more. “Looks like we’re in for a hell of a storm.” It wasn’t dark out, cause it was summer, so you could see just how dark the storm clouds were...and they were dark.

Work had been long, at least in terms of how it felt, in truth the shift he’d worked had been short by comparison to his usual shifts of eight and nine hours. A five hour shift he could easily get through, at least compared to his usual shifts, but it still wasn’t easy and it still felt like it dragged on. He had once again been relegated to pick up and mostly ignored. Unless he called for help, often several times till it was answered, or had a dur where he needed a pharmacist Larkin was ignored and left to his own devices.

The scripts had all been put away and the return to stocks had been pulled and...well...returned to stock. He’d put away the pseudoephedrine products that they’d gotten with truck delivery in the morning. No one else had put it away, in the hours between trucks arrival and him coming into shift, so he’d done it. Silent as a mouse he’d put it all away, making sure the ones which the closest expiration dates were in front, he’d just nodded his head when his pharmacist had scolded him for taking up space on the back counter. He hadn’t defended himself and the need for space to look over what had come in, to count and sort it all, he’d just apologized and hurried to put it all away so he could clear the space wanted.

Larkin hated this job and he was, unknown to his fellow workers, waiting to hear back on an application he’d put in with one of the local hospitals. He was certified as a pharmacy tech, something he was sure they had all forgotten, but it meant he could work in a hospital and didn’t need this job. He was planning to send out applications to the other hospitals as well. He needed to get out of here if for no other reason than his own emotional well being. He was tired of feeling unwanted and unappreciated by his team.

It was time he took to caring about himself properly and not just going through the motions of getting ready for work - going to work - going home...and having some life outside of work. It was not good enough any longer and he needed to focus on himself. Smiling a bit as the cool evening air hit his face he hurried towards his car. He ignored his co-workers who were leaving at the same time, talking and laughing together, and hurried himself toward his car and let himself in. Tonight had been a talk about music and who liked what, not that he was interested in what they listened to, but at some point one of them had turned towards him and asked for what he liked. As if they’d just remembered he existed and that they were curious about him and wanted to know about him - a lie. He figured they were just trying to be nice...or feed some sort of sick curiosity...something like you’d get in high school...where you’d be teased about it afterwards or whispered about behind your back to others.

He’d ignored the question...acted like he hadn’t heard it. They had laughed and turned back to what they’d been talking about and he’d finished putting things away and making things neat.

As he closed the door he jammed the key into the ignition and started the car. Without much time to warm up he put the car into reverse and pulled out of his spot. Turning the wheel he was able to pull out of his spot and take off out of the lot. Maybe a midnight trip to the gym would be good tonight...he could do some work around the house, and his room, before he went to the gym. He had time and it was a nice night out. He was going to start thinking more about himself...because no one else would.
