His older sister Autumn was the one who found the facebook channels, all of them, and started to purchase things from the company. From her it had spread even to his older brother. At any given time at least one person was watching Sew Sweet Minky and was looking to perhaps purchase something from the company.
Tonight he was walking around the house, getting himself a drink and food, while watching the channel on his phone. Stocking and scarves were being sold, one than the other, by the same seller. He could hear the same show, the same female voice, from elsewhere in the house. With both of his sisters and his brother home he didn’t know who else was watching, though he could easily find out, Larkin moved about before settling himself in the little breakfast nook to eat. Bringing his socked feet up under himself he watched the storm rolling in, listening to the thunder and watching the flashes of lightning in the distance.
When he heard footsteps on the stairs, and that same female voice, he turned to look at whoever was heading down the stairs. Autumn - of course. “Hey, watching also?” He questioned, even if it was obvious. “I haven’t seen you in the chat yet, are you looking for something in particular?” Figuring that might be why his sister hadn’t spoken up much less bought something from the show. He’d already bought three stockings, and they were buy one get one free. He still had at least one more to get, though he had a feeling he’d get more than that.
Shaking his head, and laughing, at her response he ducked his head as she walked by him- aiming to ruffle his hair. “You know you’re evil right? You got us all into this stuff.” Shaking his head, teasing smile in place, Larkin had no issue teasing his elder sister.
While his sister had gotten them all into sew sweet minky he was purchasing almost more than her, it was like he needed to fit in and join in and have his siblings like what he got, approve of it, and maybe even wish they’d gotten the same items. He knew the behavior, he knew himself well enough, but that didn’t mean it was easy to curb - it wasn’t. He didn’t even try most of the time to fight it, like now, as he looked down at his phone just in time to type a ‘sold’ followed by a number.
Looking up at his sister's question he nodded his head. “Yeah. I had to get one more.” At least one more, though he didn’t say that last bit. He also didn’t mention that he was going to be getting scarves later, in the next show, some were for himself but most would be for family members for Christmas gifts. He had it all planned out in his head, some also would be gifts for Halloween.
“You know….I gotta go help out at the animal shelter this weekend, since I have off.” When his sister asked why he explained, rather briefly, about the wish he’d taken from the wishing tree. “Want to come with? Or you think someone else might want to come with me?” He was a bit hopeful, though he did his best to keep that out of his voice.
“Mmm, I’ll ask her later. I think she’s up in her room doing something.” What his younger sister was doing he wasn’t sure but he’d ask her for help. He did want to grant the person their wish, it was a good one.
As his sister sat across from him he couldn’t help but smile as he teased her gently, she was now buying something on the site. “You really are evil.” As thunder rolled, louder than before, and shook the windows he smiled even more. “Looks like we’re in for a hell of a storm.” It wasn’t dark out, cause it was summer, so you could see just how dark the storm clouds were...and they were dark.
