Looking around the area the walked through, an area to train to fly, the concept was extremely strange to her, flying again was a thing for birds to do, and although there had been novelty in the journey here, Tomoe fought in full plate armor from her head to toes, weighing near 400lbs as a result, not including her incomplete shield. However she wasn’t totally discouraged toward the idea, especially as she’d accepted this woman’s guidance and pledged loyalty, meaning she had to suck it up and learn to fly. Now how would Tomoe do that, especially learning a winged style, for she lacked those too... or did she? Following Sheva into the spartan classroom(in two ways) Tomoe stopped a few metre from the blackboard Sheva was about to use and stood in a neutral stance, watching Sheva approach the blackboard whilst mentioning that they needed to make use of what time they had.

That implies I need wings...Urmm ok I can probably figure a technique out for that... but yeah, the diagrams of how wings work with birds, how does that translate to a human body type? Why are bird relevant if we are shaped different?” She asked, not immediately understanding the relevancy of a a birds wings types if it might work different with a human and thus jumping the gun, aiming for next level knowledge without realizing she really needed the basic knowledge. She knew bird could fly, not the exact specifics to why besides bone structure and shape... but a more casual understanding, she’d never learned nearly any science and the manner she understood a bird flight is only what she observed, she might hold a fiftieth or less of the level of understanding of a birds flight as Sheva did, the difference in wing design allowed birds to fly, whilst certain birds could soar up heigh. So if a hard boned human got wings, how would they make it work without wind chakra, would they even? This was going to be a lot of learning here that was going to be rather difficult and intricate, causing her eyebrows to lower as her brow furrowed as the thinking face of a person with a semi-less-than-basic upbringing. Sheva who’d naught practiced teaching and was in for a new experience more than likely had a good choice for a good pupil, someone smart but lacking a lot of understanding and general knowledge... meaning this was going to be a lot of work but also a lot of practice.

Sheva walked back up to the blackboard, she looked at the different drawings " The shape is about the way that you want to glide through the air. " She circled the larger ones and looked back at Tomeo " I chose those cause there is a lot of thrust, I can gain altitudes in seconds. "
Sheva started to describe the wing sizes and the types of flight there was " Sparrow and a Crow don't fly the same. There is soaring/gliding and flapping flight. " She began to describe the way that her wings assist in gaining altitude and maintaining it.

After a while of all this ornithological like expertise of flight, diagrams and words, Tomoes brain was beginning to mince. the idea of flight for her was difficult despite her quantity of elements, she lacked wind release and was of human physical design, even with what Sheva are her well laid out and in depth descriptions/explanations. Part of the reason was that Tomoe was getting restless, her attention thusly beginning to waver as her hands flexed anxiously, her muscles creaking and knuckles cracking as she did so, it was about this time of day she’d be busy swinging her sword and training, lectures usually only lasting about an hour. This had been going for about four times that span of time and Tomoe was giving an expression that was honest of her attentions breaking as well as her intent to hide said fact... her unconscious actions would be a dead give away.. as well as the question that would finally spill from Tomoes mouth, a question she’d ask that had been nagging at her for a while now. Raising one of her hands above her head ”I need to ask, I get there’s a connection to a bird flyin’ would be something needing a bit of understand... but if I’m gonna have wings, shouldn’t like a physical example be a more direct way to learn? I’m just having trouble remembering so many details that are all theory...” She said, her brain being classically impatient and wanting to skip over theory and just into practice, believing that she’d just need to be shown what to do if a human were to have wings. The girl mildly ignoring the idea that this information was all relevant and able to help her know how to put this into practice... just Tomoe Hayes learning and liked just doing.. a grand flaw of hers. It was about then her stomach growled impatiently at the woman who hasn’t actually ate a meal in over two day, not to mention sleep, however that didn’t bother her as sleep was for the weak!

Sheva thought for a moment, she turned to the blackboard behind her and wiped it all off. Though it was a good visual of what everything meant, she thought that she was just thinking too much about it. She pulled out a shuriken from a small pouch and sat across from Tomeo " Why do you think a shuriken fly through the air? Besides just being thrown. " She had a point to make and she was going to get there.
" The shuriken flys so well because it cuts through the air. " She held the shuriken sideways and demonstrated the rotation " because the shuriken is so flat (amongst other things)." She placed the shuriken on the desk and placed a pen in front of it, she pointed the tip of the pen at the shuriken " Its effortless flight is associated with the fact that the wind doesn't have to push against it... there is no resistance. "
