She hadn't been expecting him to grab her by the waist and help her. Her legs stayed wrapped around him in case he dropped her and her arms went around his head to hug him close. A squeak and she looked down at him, his face half buried in her ribs from her clinging. "Whoa, I wasn't expecting you to do that." Thea fought to keep from smiling but quickly lost. Wearing a grin she started to laugh at her own antics. What must he be thinking? It certainly wasn't normal for a girl to jump on people. "Sorry. You just didn't look this tall while you were hanging upside down." So if he wanted to call himself a dragon she supposed she could let him get away with it. "Mm, you can put me down if you want." Now that she'd made it up and was taller she felt as though she had won. Not that she knew what the prize was.

Well it hadn't gone quite as he imagined but well she was still taller. He was also in a awkward position. "I expect the rope hid some of the height." He set her down gently on her feet. She was strange, but well he was pretty sure he was too. So that was okay. She was also adrorable. "Now you wanted to go to Matori? Excellent I want to be out of Oba." But first he sliced the snare rope free. "Infernal contraption anyway."

Back on her own two feet she straightened her clothes and brushed herself off as if nothing had happened. When he mentioned going to Matori she nodded her head. "Mhm. I want to go diving for some pearls. Figure they could be worth a coin or two." And if she could manage to get enough to help her dad at the shop then that was cool too. Watching him cut the trap she smirked at him. "You're just saying that because you got caught. Cute little dragon." Thea reached out and patted him on the shoulder lightly. Another giggle left her and she shook her head. "Don't worry, your white knight will walk you home." Here she stuck her tongue out at him.

Rydan grinned. "Well yes that is exactly why I'm insulting it." "There are some wonderful beaches with pearls." He dipped his hand into a pocket and produced two black pearls and one with a blueish white tint. "Here, these will get you started." He gave them to her. "When you live there and you get bored you go pearl hunting. "I even know where a pearl farm is, run by a ice alk hybrid but I like finding them in the wild, cheaper."

She tilted her head as he dug into his pocket. When he came out with two black pearls she grinned at him. "Hmn, I know I should have went into your pockets when you were trapped." Thea took them from him and looked them over. She absolutely loved the color. She held the one to her neck, doing what she could to look down at it and see if it would look good with her skin tone. Finally she brought them up to her ears. "How do they look?" Maybe she could have them as a pair of earrings? When he said he knew an Ice Alk she looked up at him. "Really? Are those common around here?"

"I think the darker two would look good for earrings, and you could get away with hanging the pearl on a hair string with beads and stones I think," they could always find other pearls too, he himself had just found one after all, well she had found him. "I'm happy you gave me the chance to give you the gift, instead of taking it, its a different kind of magic." "Not so common, there are two that I know of, one lives here and the other is my Father."

When he mentioned that it was different when something was given to her rather than her taking it she looked at him with a raised brow. "Really?" Thea couldn't help it. She stepped close to him and blatantly stuck one hand into his pants pocket as she looked at him. "Hmn, I guess you're right. I miss out on the chance to feel what else you have." If Rydan did have anything else in his pocket then she was going to take it to make a point. She looked up at his antennae when he said that one of the hybrids was his father. So he got the alk and ice from his dad. What did that make his mother? The hand that wasn't in his pocket went up to the feelers and stroked the one, pulling it forward a little so she could see it better. "What are these like? Are they sensitive? Do they do anything?"

He did not have anything else in his pockets thankfully. Or perhaps not as he was very broke. "Mmm I'm not too sure how to explain it." He was stumped. He gently fished her hand from his pocket. "Sorry no more pearls, or coin for that matter. I am pretty broke." He grinned sheepishly, but I know where there is really good food." "Matori has some of the best restaurants and I have money at home."

Not sure how to explain it. Thea considered him for a second, her momentary distraction being enough to allow him to remove her hand from his pocket without resistance. "Hmn.. you're not the first person I've seen with them and I'm curious as to what they're for." Her shoulders lifted up slightly. She couldn't help the interest she had in them. They were an odd thing to be on a person. His mention of food made her look at the fruit she'd tossed to the ground before she brought her eyes back to him. "I'm not all that hungry right now." Her hands no longer occupied she brought them to her stomach and sides. "I need to lay off the food anyways, I'll get fatter." With her mom cooking so much lately she felt stuffed most the time.

"You fat? No way girl. I don't think you have the genetics for that. Grace yes fat no." He bowed to her slightly and offered his arm. "Then shall we go to Matori? It is seriously the most beautiful place I have ever seen. "
She was beautiful too and frank and he really liked that in a girl. It would be nice to have some company for a change and she seemed very intelligent.
"Have you heard of the new alkidike trees? What do you think will come of them? I am kind of curious myself." Not only because he had a smidge of alk blood either. It was just interesting.

She looked at his offered arm with a raised brow before she took it. Her other hand went to her exposed stomach and tapped it a few times. "Oh boy.. I am fat." Theanduri grinned at him then. "I like Matori. I have some uncles that live there so it'll be fun." She was kinda looking forward to seeing her uncle Mano again. They always got along great. When he brought up the subject of the new trees she had to pause for a minute and actually think about them. "Yeah.. with everything going on with the new people and that one place being discovered I forgot about them." Since she had nothing to do with the Alkidike's she really didn't think much about it either. "I wonder if they'll make babies like the other tree does.." Thea wasn't up to date on all things Alk but she knew they came from a tree.

"It has beena bit overwhelming hasn't it?" He was pleased that she took his arm since she refused to be fed. He rolled his eyes when she said she was fat. Women were overly concerned with such things they were all beautiful.
"Ahh that is good you will get to visit them, seeing family is always nice." He thought about his parents, his Father working the forge and his mother sbeak attacking him from behind. They were adorable and he loved them.
"Since the other trees produce children I dont see why these would not do the same."
He was quite fsr removed from his alkidike ancestry despite the feelers. But he still found it interesting.
"I guess I am part tree and not just because of my height." What a strange thought.

"A little. I think I would like for the world to stop growing. It's plenty big enough." She nodded her head. Thea already had too many places in mind to go to once she was old enough to go farther than to her uncle's house. Mention of the trees being no different from the others made her consider it a bit. "I suppose." Of course she wondered if it had anything to do with the soil and stuff to do with the ground. Did that matter to the babies being made? Her other hand came up to rub at her temple. "Its hard to understand the tree thing for me." A confession of sorts since she'd never seen it in action. She looked up at him again, this time to the top of his head. "You are tall like a tree, yes. But you are a pretty tree." Thea liked his coloring. It was like a pretty opal-esque shell with more blue than pink.

"So what is your story? My parents met by chance. Dad is studying to be a sentinell though he should have chosen blacksmith and well mom is a bit of a bandit. I came to Matori with two friends and they had triplets so I have been kind of friendless lately."
He shrugged. He hated it, being lonely, he missed his family and his sister but what was he to do?

"Hm.. how about small pretty tree dragon?" Thea grinned at him then. Rydan might as well get used to her giving him nicknames if he was going to stick around her. The question about her story and then the explanation of his made her look ahead. "My mom fell in love with my dad by chance. He's a merchant and she likes to cook." Of course her mom was good with a trident but that was beside the point. "I've three siblings. You have any?" She was kinda curious to know what family he had if he was here with friends.
