All of a sudden Callum's heart made a literally leap as he was pulled up into Nimueh's arms. At first his only response was a shocked inhale, but that quickly faded into an excitable laugh. He locked his legs above the larger man's hips, his future husband's hips, and held on with one hand in the spin, raising the other to the stars above. They could have fallen for all he cared; Callum felt lighter tonight than he had in years and couldn't be bothered to think of anything else!
He leaned forward to place one quick peck to Nimueh's lips. "You are a ridiculously beautiful soul, Nimueh. Every day with you by my side is a gift I never thought I would have, and you have no-" Another quick kiss, "idea", one more, "how much I utterly adore you." He pressed himself closer to the larger man's chest and leaned up a little so that he was closer to Nim's eye level. "Before you I couldn't trust anyone and now? We have two amazing children together, kids I never thought I would have, we're getting married and hopefully soon we'll be having more kids!" Callum could almost feel his head reeling. "We need to write letters; sooo many letters. We should tell Sol and Ygraine everything, and Odeya, she need to know we're coming."

Again, they were around other people who watched them spin, laughing and shaking their heads. But such joy wasn't to be made fun of - how many of them had danced with their loved ones like this? Nimueh bathed in the quiet approval, and the joy of his future husband, and the soft kisses. He dreamed of holding his future child on his shoulders and spinning with them, too, the way he had with Sol and Ygraine what felt like lifetimes ago.
His chest was tight with emotion, and despite being so much larger (and holding Callum upright), Nimueh smiled sheepishly and ducked his face just a bit away from the overflow of kisses, just as Callum had earlier in their conversation. But he sobered as Callum's words grew more serious, but also more joyful.
And yes, they needed to write so many letters. Especially now that Callum was able to write them himself - a fact he had been proud and overjoyed to learn when he returned to him. "Ohh they will kill us." He lamented, laughing shamelessly. Then he nodded and squeezed Callum tightly, reluctantly shifting him so that he could put him down again - taking the opportunity to wrap him up completely in his arms, tugged close against his torso. "And to Eema - if Odeya doesn't work out, I know that she will know where to start."

"Maybe we can tell them they're going to be older siblings after the wedding." Callum smirked. "Once they're in such a good mood we can leave them with a letter and run." It was shameless, he knew, but Callum didn't think they would mind. Honestly, in his list of 'atrocities' over the years this would be the least shocking to have dropped on them, and honestly, he knew his children well enough to imagine the looks on their faces once they find out. "Then again, it really wouldn't be very fatherly to leave without really explaining things to them." As much as Callum would rather duck out before being confronted he really couldn't think of a reason why they shouldn't just tell them outright. Ygraine and Sol had been through just as much as their fathers' so it only seemed fair.
Once Callum's toes touched down on solid ground he found himself nodding in agreement. "Yes, that's right; we should definitely have a back up just in case." The process might take a little longer if they had to find a surrogate first, as opposed to going to a woman they already knew, but it wasn't off the table by any means. Callum would ask every willing soul in Jauhar if he had to.
"....We should probably build another house." Callum broached sheepishly, "Unless you're up for the idea of a more nomadic upbringing for these kids?"

After? Nimueh cocked an eyebrow at Callum, lips quirking into a soft, teasing smirk as he listened. "Tempting as that is..." He drawled, then shook his head, his tone shifting towards more serious, but still soft and loving. "I think you're right - face to face is what they deserve. I doubt they will want to stay with us, even with siblings on the way, but they deserve the option."
Then conversation turned to the house, and Nimueh immediately hummed and gave his soon-to-be husband a look. "Another house for you to burn down, hmm?" He asked, reaching to gently pinch Callum's small-tipped ear. But then he softened and instead cupped his cheek, turning his head to indicate he was looking around them at the camp. The people around their campfires... talking and laughing. "We did it my way once. ... I think... we both enjoy being on the road far too much, now. I won't tether you to another cabin, love.""

While it would be nice to have all of them under the same 'roof' again, he highly doubted it would ever happen. Ygraine had her own adventures now and Sol was....well, Sol. He worried that his son may take to the news with a little more disdain than Ygraine, but then again, the tides could flip. Still, they were good souls and he knew that regardless of any early onset worry the two of them would be outstanding older siblings.
That sheepish feeling only intensified under the weight of 'the look'. Callum chuckled nervously and motioned to their tent, as if the hour of the night were enough to make him retreat and not utter embarrassment. He tried walking in that direction, then stopped with a little duck one his ear was pinched. Really, it was less than he deserved. That cabin had meant a lot to the family and while it felt right at the time Callum had come to regret his decision. "At least I kept all of the important bits." It was hardly a consolation, but at the very least it was something. He almost expected a scolding for it, had come to anticipate it, even, but what he heard was something completely different.
"Thank the goddess." Callum exhaled. "I would do whatever it took to raise more children with you, Nim, you know I would, but if I have to go through one more winter in Zena I might die."
This lifestyle fit them better. Their love had blossomed on the road, many of their finest and lowest moments happened all across Tendaji, and Callum had a feeling that many more was right around the bend. Raising children like a true nomad, just how he'd been brought up, sounded amazing. "Come on, let's get some sleep. From now on you and I are going to be very, very busy."
