Kaimana shared his own grief and sad stories and Sriina felt herself swelling with emotion. They had both suffered losses over the war, and it was something she knew enough of all too well. Her parents were fine, but that didn't mean everyone she knew made it out. "I'm sorry for what you went through as well." She said with sincerity.
She nodded her head, validating his assumption. "Yes, I'm trained with a sword, and I have no where better to be, so a year doesn't bother me." She wasn't in a rush to return to Matori anytime soon, and she doubted she would be happy there regardless now.
She could feel his touch lingering on her hand and when he noticed what it was he was doing she saw the blush hit his face. He pulled away quickly, but in the same motion that he pulled away, she leaned forward, planting a kiss square on his lips and in her drunken state enjoying the taste of his mouth on hers.

Kaimana's gaze softened at her sincerity. "Thank you." He managed quietly before he found himself focusing back on his drink once more to avoid the confusing feeling that was slowly but surely rising in his chest with every passing moment. However, his drink did nothing to stop the bright smile that spread whenever she accepted the offer to travel together. "Okay then! I guess we'll have to get additional supplies." He joked lightly. "Honestly there is plenty of room since the merchants have to have some sort of comforts while traveling." Their whole party was probably around eight earthlings total and yet they acted like they had to make way for small battalion at times. Surely another body would be more beneficial than anything else to them especially when venturing into unknown territories.
His teasing and excitement about traveling abated whenever he suddenly found himself being kissed by Sriina. At first, Kaimana found himself actually leaning into the kiss. Her lips were soft and he found himself reaching forward to pull their faces closer, his fingers running lightly across the back of her head as he returned the kiss. This is nice. He thought, his eyes fluttering closed in enjoyment before realization started to sink in. Wait! His amber gaze widened as a moment of sobriety shoved aside the happy buzzing his head and Kaimana found himself breaking the kiss, his cheeks flushed as he stood. In his haste, he had nearly tripped over the bar stool but he caught himself on the bar before glancing back towards Sriina. His cheeks seemed to flame even more as he noticed how beautiful she truly was and the sensation of their kiss seemed to linger across his lips. "I uh....should help get things ready more." He managed finally as he tried to drag his gaze away from her lips. They had both been drinking and surely it was just....one of those drunken mishaps that she didn't mean. Right?
The confusing feelings twisted in his chest and the Matori found himself quickly placing some coin on the counter for their drinks. "Do...do you have a place to sleep tonight?" He managed as he looked towards the counter and away from Sriina. As the words sank in, Kaimana's flush rose once more. "I mean! I'm sure they have a spare room. There was an empty one across from where I'm staying and since we're traveling together I could introduce you to the merchants tomorrow...." Oh gods did he even know what he was saying at this point?

Sriina had started to deepen the kiss, feeling Kaimana's hands on her, before he suddenly broke away with a start. She could feel fer face instantly turn a vibrant shade of violet and she looked wide-eyed at him before turning her face away in embarrassment. There was enough alcohol in this bar to get her to kiss strange men, but there was definitely not enough here to help her forget what she had just done. "Ah, mm, sorry..." She murmured under her breath.
She couldn't pretend that she hadn't enjoyed herself, but that wasn't the response she was looking for from Kaimana.
"I don't actually." She answered his question, her face refusing to return to its normal shade just yet. Though she wasn't sure she wanted to stay right across the hall from him just yet after her ego had just taken such a violent hit, but she didn't want to refuse him and make it any more awkward. "If you wouldn't mind, of course. And yes, I can meet everyone else before we go." She felt her buzz starting to come down and she knew it was time for her to find someplace to sleep it off. And not soon enough, she thought her herself, after a bonehead move like that.

What was wrong with his chest? Kaimana's fingers itched to travel along his flushed skin and rub at the troublesome spot. It felt like it was on fire with the beating racing in his ears as he managed to glance back towards Sriina. It's the drink. Surely that's all. He hadn't drank that much in a while. Was he out of practice? Maybe he should really consider avoiding that amber brew for a bit. It was delicious and truly tempting...subconsciously his gaze ventured towards Sriina before he realized that once more he was staring at her lips. His cheeks darkened and Kaimana spun on his heel. "Of course I don't mind!" He managed his words rushed as he continued nodding his approval, "I'll set up the room for you with the tavern owner. I can do that now and I'll be back shortly with a key!"
As he left the bar and darted away with his back towards Sriina, his fingers finally did roam up towards his lips. They were warm and the lingering memory of the kiss stirred something inside of him. Surely it was just the excitement of having another join their travel party. Nothing more. He blushed as he shoved away the strange thoughts and the confusing feelings. Kaimana would soon return with a room key for Sriina's room. He could take the night to sleep off the brew and everything would be fine by the morning. He was certain that the merchants would be eager to welcome more protection and then in a couple of days they would set off towards the docks and take an airship to Belrea. Kaimana grinned at the thought. His excitement of adventure would hide his flustered feelings from before though whenever he saw Sriina it would do nothing to stop that confused knot of feelings from slowly rising over and over again.

Sriina left the fake smile on her face as she watched Kaimana leave the bar to get her a room key. She finished off her mug and puffed out a deep sigh before putting her head down on the bar.
One day in Oba and she already had a place to stay, people to be with... and an embarrassing memory under her belt. Great. Hopefully she would feel better in the morning and she could forget the whole thing. She put a hand on her lips and sighed again. It was a nice kiss though...
