"That doesn't mean you have to bring it up," Pruu grumbled under her breath. Pyrrha wasn't wrong though. Change was a natural part of growing up. Of course, the value of that change varied... Pursing her lips, she turned to Akeldama and narrowed her eyes in challenge. "Or perhaps I'll just keep you in my room so I might take your hand whenever I wish~"

Though resistant to the general conversation about herself going on, she followed her girlfriend with limited struggle. Truth be told, her discomfort was outweighed by the sheer delight that her twin and her girlfriend seemed to be hitting it off well enough already; a frustrated outside covering for a gooey warm inside.

It wasn't her first time at Pyrrha's hut, but she also wasn't able to make it out that often, either. She eyed the pot-sitting toad with suspicion before settling down by the pit. "Tea would be appreciated, thank you." She looked out at the ocean and took a calming breath of the fresh air. Perhaps a swim before the day was done would be called for after all!

As Pruu came to admit that she had indeed held onto her sister's hand at night Akel gave an exaggerated gasp. "Skies above... my Pruu is a liar." Alright, so the playfulness was meant to help her girlfriend relax a bit, but now she was actually having fun with it. "I think I need time to process this.." She would have put a hand to her chest to act hurt but as it was both hands were occupied.

Upon arrival at Pyrrha's hut she looked around at the many decorations. They weren't exactly to her taste but then again she didn't have to live there so.. Who was she to judge? It was like that ugly bowl her mother kept on the center of the table. A complete eye sore but since it wasn't her house she didn't care. Akel simply avoided the stupid bowl. To the toad.. well, Akeldama had a beast from the mainlands as a familiar so she didn't say or do anything about it. Instead she took up a seat next to Pruu and gave a nod of her head. "Tea sounds good. I don't suppose you have a fruit flavor? I've developed a sweet tooth lately." True fact, that one. Her own mother had commented on her increased intake of sugary things. Mainly the amount of fruit since it meant less in the house for others.

When she looked at the sister she was dating she noticed the look she gave the ocean. "Want to swim later? It technically counts as training you know." Just in case she needed any extra push in that direction. Akel wouldn't mind a cooling dip in the water.

"Of course; I've got many flavors, just hang on a moment and I'll bring them out."

Who would have ever thought Pruu would be bringing a girlfriend around? And a nice one, at that! She'd never really thought about what kind of girls her sister might have been interested in, but at least they seemed to get along better than her mothers.

Pyrrha stepped into her little hut with all intention of finding tea and finding a mess instead. Pots were over turned, random stones were laying everywhere with various mud and paint splatters on them, a bucket of water sat atop what looked like a stand made entirely out of bone....but where was the tea.

"Pruu! Can you get the fire started?" Pyrrha called out to her twin, hoping she could hear her over the hoard inside the hut. She'd found a few packets of tea leaves, but not the exact one's she wanted so it was taking a little longer than she wanted.

"Finally," she murmured, fingers clasping a package. The others were close by as well and thankfully the kettle was left by the doorway so all she had to do was snatch it on her way out.

"I've got Rooibos, Candyleaf and Osmanthus. Oh, and I'm sure I have some honey too, if you'd prefer to add it."

Pruu snorted at her girlfriend's dramatics. "You're lucky I like you so much," she threatened vaguely while her tone hinted at the lighter tease underneath. The suggestion to swim did lighten her expression a bit. "It is good training," she agreed, smiling lightly at the added validation. "We can swim for a little after we have finished tea."

Head lifting when she heard her name, she called back to confirm she had heard and stood back up to grab what was needed to start the fire. She stacked the wood with care and watched the flames crackle to life. Content with her work, she leaned back to sit and brushed the dirt from her knees. It really was a cozy spot for not being within Zinris. "Osmanthus, please. No honey," she requested once the selections were brought out.

"I am." Akel agreed with Pruu on that one.

As they sat and waited she heard the sister inside call out to the other to get the fire going. Since she had no chore she simply sat and waited, enjoying watching her girlfriend go about a normal task. It was different than seeing her always practicing.

As Pyrrha brought out the selections for tea she heard Pruu make her selection and smiled. When it was her turn she looked at the other Elaria and smiled. "Ooo, Candyleaf for me." She had debated on adding honey but figured if she was too sweet then her girlfriend might not like her. So she grinned and gave a small wave of her hand. "No honey for me either."

She looked around at the area again, taking in more details of the decorations and the surroundings. "So what made you pick this spot?" Akeldama was sure there was some reason or another that made this particular piece of beach more desirable than the rest and she had to admit she was curious to know what it was.

[7/10]

Pyrrha took three thin pieces of cloth and prepped each one by placing a small amount of tea leaves in the center; Candyleaf for Akel and herself with Osmanthus for Pruu. Once she'd dabbed out a suitable amount she took a small strap and tied them off creating a bag of sorts that she put into three different cups. The cups themselves may have been mismatched and chipped, but at the very least they were clean.

"If you stand in my doorway and look out you can see Aisha." Pyrrha hung the clay kettle above the fire and stood back to wait while it heated. "I know I can't really see her, but I feel like I can in my heart. Staying here keeps me connected to who we are and where we started so they can both hear my prayers." When they'd gone to Jauhar for the council with the alkidike it had taken all Pyrrha had in her to respect their privacy and not ask to go to Chibale. Of course they wouldn't have allowed her; her own people would have drug her away, but wouldn't it have been amazing?

It didn't take long for the water to heat and within a few moments she was handing the tea cups to their respective Elaria. "It's just really light here. I feel like the spirits really connect on this beach and I can talk to them a lot easier." Smiling, she looked at the two as she took her own seat. "So, do you two live together now?"

'I am.'

Well, there came more of that gooey feeling...

Pruu's eyes widened with surprise, but she found herself holding her tongue from saying anything impulsive. Perhaps she was finally growing a bit? Of course, now that the topic was there... "You believe Aisha cares what we think, Pyrrha?" she asked softly, uncertainty in her tone. She knew Elzira came from Aisha, and the Alk mothers still worshiped her, but she had never given the elder tree much thought. Elzira was her goddess who had created them, not Aisha.

With the last question, her gaze turned to Akeldama. "Not yet. I have recently acquired my own home though." She pushed her toes into the ground and sighed silently. That had been a mild ordeal in itself. "It holds promise."

The reason she was given was one that made her brows lift a little. Akeldama looked at Pyrrha with some confusion but it was Pruu who said what she was thinking. Or part of it anyways. Her own opinions on that were kept to herself. Aisha was not who she prayed to. Aisha was not who she would go to for blessings. Aisha was no who she was bloomed from. Elzira was all of those.

When the question popped up about them living together she shook her head as she took her cup from her girlfriend's sister. "I still live with my Alkidike mother." Her own moving out would likely be a complicated mess when it happened. Her gaze shifted toward Pruu then, noticing that she'd stuck her toes in the sand. "Promise?" She said aloud, curiously. Her cup was lifted to her lips then so she could sip at the tea.

"Of course! She's just like...oh, what was her name..right! Elder Jo Dee." Pyrrha took a slow, steady sip of her tea and her smile softened. "She started out great, a pillar of strength, but over the years she became lost. It took others caring for her to put her back on the right path, but Aisha doesn't have that. The ones taking care of her are abusing her gifts, but that doesn't mean she can't be saved." She didn't blame their skepticism and had no real urge to change the way they felt. Pyrrha knew she was in the minority by thinking this way, but it seemed so logical to her.

Still, that was a goddess fathoms away, and before her was possibly the cutest sight she'd ever seen. Pruu really is smitten. It was kind of...weird, seeing this side of her normally serious twin but Pyrrha quite liked it.

Pruu pursed her lips in a contemplative mood. It was difficult to deny Pyrrha's point. Aisha was the original mother, and somewhere along the line, her daughters had allowed her to veer off the path of strength and loyalty. Those daughters continued to tend to Aisha, and thus the taint continued. "I wonder if Aisha has been astray for too long to be willing to be saved," she mused out loud. With no sign of the Alks backing down from Chibale, any saving would be a long time coming. Besides, some could find great difficulty in changing their ways if left for too long.

Frankly, she knew she was one of them. However, one thing that had just seemed to naturally happen was her affection for Akeldama. It had started out like she tackled anything; to the point, plain and forward. However, after a time, that strict girl found feelings mucking up her stoic logic. She tried to resist, but still found herself being occasionally bashful and shy in the new territory of love. She couldn't see herself turning into a complete softy, but in these matters...

Looking over to Akeldama, she let a small smile rise and nodded. "Yes, promise. I believe it holds promise for.. being a home. For us. If you wish." She cleared her throat and shook her head to clear it. "You don't have to answer right now, of course. It is just something I would like you to consider."

She sipped at her tea some more, listening to Pyrrha, her ears and antennae give a subtle twitch. After a while she nodded her head. "I will give you that one. Aisha does not have trust worthy daughters to help her." Akel didn't think the main land Alkidikes would know how to steer their mother back in the right direction if they were given a map. She made a point of looking inward, however, toward Elzira. "But we have our own Mother Tree to worry about. Let the others worry about Aisha. We have Elzira and she needs us to keep her safe." A small nod and she let the subject be left at that.

Instead she gave her attention to Pruu. The cup at her lips stilled as she heard her girlfriend mention that this new placed she'd gotten had promise of being a home. For them. As in the both of them. If she wished. A smile slowly formed behind the cup. "Oh?" Akeldama tilted her head back as if she were really considering it. "I'm not sure.. I just found out you used to hold your sister's hand in the dark." She teased a little. "I mean.. imagine that. Holding hands." The hand not holding her cup came up so that she could look at it. "Gosh I think my mother might faint if she knew what your intentions were." By now she was grinning at her girlfriend, the cup lowered enough so that her expression could be seen.

"I would like to have a home with you Pruu. I think it would be wonderful." Even though Pyrrha was a witness to the sentimental bits she didn't feel embarrassed about it. Sure, her cheeks might be a little warm, but she blamed the warm weather for that! And possibly even the fact that her girlfriend had just asked her to live with her but mostly the weather!

[9/10]

Perhaps that's how she should have thought about things, but Pyrrha couldn't help thinking of it all. Maybe it was selfish, hoping her prayers could be heard by two goddesses instead of one, though she didn't really care. Let Akel and Pruu have their own opinions; it didn't change the way they saw her nor the way she saw them.

If anything just watching them gave her hope about their little plot here in Yael. It wasn't perfect; things rarely were. Of course it would be better if this island's earthlings knew their place and allowed the Elaria to take it but for now, this was good. Just seeing her twin so happily talking about the future with her girlfriend was enough to make Pyrrha smile.

She'll be fine, even if you leave.

She pushed the thought away.

"Congratulations, you two! This is a big step; I'm sure our mothers will be proud, Pruu."

Pruu groaned and hung her head onto her hand dramatically, turning just enough to peer through the deep red strands of her hair. "Do not make me regret bringing you here," she huffed. Yet, the agreement to share a home made her head lift with.. well, some sort of feeling that mixed pride and glee into a rippling wave in her body. She couldn't help staring for a minute before slowly reaching over to take Akeldama's hand silently. They were ready then...

Her brow rose at the mention of their mothers. To her own amazement... she found that she didn't care what Kou or Fassala would say. It was a rather jarring realization for one who usually cared much about approval and pride in others' eyes. "I suppose they will be," she finally agreed. Looking over to her twin, Pruu gave a small nod. "You just remember, there is still always room for you at our home should you wish to come by sometime." 'Our home! By Elzira!' This was really happening... Lips twitching into a smirk, she glanced over to Akeldama again. "I don't think Akel takes up that much space.."

She heard the groan and chuckled a little. "Regret bringing me?" Akel took another sip of her tea, completely innocently, then turned her attention to Pyrrha. "See, told you it was me she was embarrassed of." A large grin took place then.

When the sister congratulated them she had to pause a minute to realize what had just happened. Akeldama had basically agreed to live with Pruu. It was indeed a big step and certainly something to celebrate. She'd have to find a way to do that later. Then her girlfriend extended the invitation to her sister to visit them. She nodded in agreement. "Certainly." She'd not seen the place herself yet but if Pruu said there was space enough then surely there was. Of course her partner got a look when it was mentioned that Akel didn't take up that much space. "Oh.. I don't know. I mean.. I'm a bed hog. Steal the covers. Might even take your pillow." Her head gave a serious nod as she spoke.

[FIN]

"I'll make sure to drop by often, then." She would have to make sure to bring them plenty of gifts and perhaps a few herbal teas, just to make their evenings all the more relaxing. Or maybe she shouldn't come by at all, at least for a few weeks, to let them settle in. So long as she made a lot of noise outside before going in it should be fine, right? "And maybe bring some extra pillows." She smirked.

So, Pruu was making her own way in the world, but where did that leave Pyrrha? What sort of steps was she taking for her own life? You know what you should do. But would she have the strength to do it? She could always stay here, spend time with her twin and Akel, learn more about their budding culture and make a name for herself among the Elaria. Would you be happy?

Something needed to change, but for now she was happy just the way things were.
