Kian rolled his eyes, "Of course, of course." Anything else could be easily forgotten but not this one. Still he was thankful that they could still be teasing and joking with each other. While it didn't completely erode the tension that knotted in his stomach, he did feel some relief. They just needed to get out of the town first and onward towards Zena. His twin could take care of Rhonann there and give them one of the many rooms at the estate.

"Agreed." A sigh of relief left his lips before he reached over to grab her free hand, "Then I'll have to hold onto you so that I don't get lost along the way." He joked with a grin, "If you walk too fast and I lose you then that'll just be even more trouble." His fingers squeezed Rho's, "I promise I'll keep you both safe." Kian's voice was soft as he walked alongside of Rho, "Give Akemi an hour or so and she can carry you as well." If he had known about Rho's condition he would have asked Talisia to borrow another raptrix or even a chiavi for the journey back home.

I suppose we'll just make due for now and see about getting a wagon later when we're closer to Sauti.

Looking up as her hand was taken, Rho felt a swelling rising in her chest. They were going to be parents! "Already makin' me practice leadin' a toddler 'round?' she asked, squeezing his hand in return. Her smile softened at his reassurance as well, and she walked just a bit closer to his side. She knew he would uphold his promise with all of his might.

Outside the inn, she couldn't help another glance in Kylldra's direction. If that monster came anywhere near her again... Perhaps she should have just pushed through and gone after him while she'd had the chance. Knowing she was carrying around precious life complicated everything. With a sigh, she turned and walked purposefully toward the raptrix. "Good girl, Akemi," she cooed, reaching out to brush over the thick coat of fur. "Will ya help protect the baby when they get here?"

"If that makes you feel better." Quipped back Kian lightly, "Maybe I'm getting my own practice in." He squeezed her fingers again as they headed away from her room and back outside. For some reason it seemed the outside world was a light brighter despite the earlier shadows. When the time was right he would come back and take care of any unfinished business. I just may keep from telling Rho about that for now.

Smiling as Rhonann's fingers slipped from his own, Kian watched as the wind earthling approached the raptrix. The giant creature sniffed at the wind earthling before giving her an affectionate nudge, "I suppose she would. If anything we may need to protect Akemi from our child." He joked lightly before reaching over to pat at the raptrix, "Good girl. We'll let you rest a bit and then we'll try flying." He glanced back at Rhonann thoughtfully, "After we speak with a doctor first. I'd like to make sure flying is okay....on the baby."

Burrowing her fingers into the thick fur, Rho snorted lightly. "All she's gotta do is fly away. We won't be able ta get away so easy though~" She had seen younglings wandering around! They could either be sweet and cute or screaming terrors, and if theirs had a tantrum, well, there would be no simply walking away from it!

The baby... The strain remained in her smile, and probably would until she could figure out how to take care of their dilemma. Until then though, she was going to learn how to prepare for this next challenge with Kian. She wasn't alone anymore. Blushing again, she pressed herself to Kian's side and hugged one arm around his waist to hold. "We'll all look out for each other, like always," she assured.

Kian's eyes widened in playful amusement, "You're right! We really are screwed." He moaned softly before nudging Rhonann carefully, "Still I suppose as long as we're in this together it will be okay." He would make certain of it. More than likely his biggest threat in Zena was surviving his twin sister's reaction to the news of babies. The thought actually almost made him groan out loud. She would murder him if she knew half of his history with Rhonann. Hopefully the news of a baby would excite her more than anything else.

Hugging Rhonann back, the mystic nodded. "Like always." He repeated quietly before planting a light kiss on her head. They would do this and by the spirits he would protect his family from harm at all costs.
