Tsarine eagerly awaited his request growing sincerely curious whom Olelader was. He seemed quite genuine loving relics and such which made Tsarine feel a little more at home around this particular noul.

There was no hesitation even remotely the way he replied, "Sure! Is there a particular spot you'd like me to begin or are you starting first?"

Of course he'd only used glow in the ruins so it was inevitable his other abilities would come into play if he'd ever consider ascending to even higher magic. Watching the other buck his mind wandering where Olelander planned going after the ruins. Would he stay in Homewood? Barrens? the Bog even. That was once place he'd never been to but, he'd love to go for a new adventure if Olelander was willing to join him.

"Hey Olelander" he spoke with an idea, "If this testing gains your interest how would you feel about visiting the Bog? I've never been there... before".

Possibly a silly request but, Tsarine genuinely wanted to visit more places learning more about Olelander.

User Image Oleander's ears perked up as it seemed that Tsarine was willing to humor him with this. Sometimes it took some explaining to get Nouls to understand what he was asking, but this one was very eager to help him out. Taking a moment to give the place a glance around, it was certainly large enough for what he wanted to do. Taking a walk around the room, he moved closer to Tsarine.

"This place is a good one to try it in. There's enough space to not overly use our abilities." he said stopping in front of Tsarine. "I can start, I have been waiting to try for a small while now." He grinned excitedly. "I've been to the bog once, long time ago before I got my gift. I went hunting for bugs that lived there." He thought back for a moment to when he was running around with a makeshift net trying to catch them. He killed up more bog water then catching bugs.

"Fun times back then." He said reminiscing. Shaking his head after a moment before looking back to his fellow buck. "Another visit sounds like a jolly good time. Never know what you might find in that place, besides bad water and dead trees. Now lets try this out."

Closing his eyes for a moment, Oleander focused on his magic. A soft yellow glow came from his horn as the air around him started to cool. The temps dropped slowly until it was cool enough to faintly see his breath. Stopping before things got a little out of hoof, he looked at Tsarine.

"Alright, your turn, while I like the cool air, I am still slightly soggy from the rain earlier. We could use some heat." he said still grinning, though the effort of making the space cool showed on his face. Perhaps it had been a little too big of a room, but the area around him was cooler then it had been before, perhaps stretching out ever so slightly to invade Tsarine's space as well...

Tsarine's attention never wavered as he watched Olelander standing near him. It was a calming sensation being around his other buck the younger one just couldn't put a hoof on. While in the Barrens he'd gotten to see other noulicorns using their magic in different ways yet none really noted he was really there. Living on your own for what seemed ages took a toll on you. Especially when you finally emerge to the world and others act like you are just well, "there". Even though it saddened him the Adventure in the Barrens led him to learn and discover many things. This experiment as Olelander put it was piquing his interest more and more.

Tsarine truly got excited when Olelander stated he'd return to the Bog with him. Finally, someone to spend time with, learn about, it made him content. Hearing about a trip to the Bog to capture bugs sounded entertaining, even something he'd help with if he could.

Watching with interest he noted the glow from the other's horn then the coolness that seemed to stretch toward him. It was a curious effect sending a shiver down his spine as the chilled air seeped inward. Watching curiously how Olelander kept his magic in check he nodded, "Ah I see"!

Closing his eyes magic summoned to his horn feeling the breath of warmth as it traveled, danced around him. Controlling that feeling he let it flow toward Olelander allowing it to heighten warming both their coats but not overly warm. The cooled sensation seemed to mingle with the warmth creating a pleasant spring-like atmosphere. Once he felt his magic had done its requirement it let it flow back within him, a smile paining over his excited features.

"Wow" he stated looking at Olelander for a response, "Is that what you were hoping for? Its so different in here... now".

Where there had been a cool sensation like the pouring rain now seemed like a peaceful day within Homewood. Suddenly, Tsarine wanted to learn more about his magic if Olelander asked. If he could master his magic he definitely could ascend and be taught even more.

User Image The air around them warmed and Oleander was feeling fresh as a daisy, in a way. Shaking himself before the younger buck eased off the magic use. Everything was warmer and fresher, almost made Oleander not want to leave the place until the rain stopped. Really he wouldn't have minded a night here, surrounded by interesting objects that the other had collected. Though the dust was bound to aggravate his sinuses eventually.

"That was wonderful." Oleander said as he grinned himself. "Tis as cozy as den on a balmy summer night. The more you practice I am sure you can advance through the ranks."

While Oleander didn't think he would go all the way to Ascended, he was quite happy reaching Adept if anything else. But in a way if this young buck was going to go all the way, who was Oleander to let him go it a lone. All the more fun to have a little competition, friendly of course.

"I have scrolls back at my den written by older Nouls about the different gifts. If it is something you are interested. Solars are quite interesting, I always wonder how they can play off of other gifts." This got him into one of his thinking phases. One where he almost seems to stare off into the distance. Shaking his head he chuckled slightly. "But that is another thing to ponder about. Perhaps even asking other nouls of different gifts."

Ayala chuckled how well these two were connecting leaving her to lounge undisturbed now that the temperature was more to her liking. It was good hearing Tsarine optimistic with a hint of curiously. He essentially was learning more about his magic which made her happy for him.

Tsarine heard her chuckle knowing his companion was more laid back then she had been in the Barrens. Those trees were an aggravating nightmare causing her to bloody her mouth a bit. She showed no remorse in her actions keeping them as a constant reminder she'd protect Tsarine from whatever threatened him. She had one heck of a nasty bite along with a tail that could whip things around. There were rumors about bonding ceremonies to officiate being companions. Perhaps in the future Tsarine would look into that if Ayala was for that kind of attention.

Far as Olelander it seemed that he was making his mind up to join Tsarine in his pursuit to becoming adept then perhaps even more. This made Tsarine extremely happy given the fact that another acknowledged his existence.

"I'd love to learn about other gifts as well as my own", he mused smiling.

There was so much within the ruins still to be discovered besides what he had dug out of ruble and crevices. Being full grown now left him with more of an advantage to face Cat Beasts and other enemies like feral Dire rats. Just thinking of those does protecting their babies made his legs ache. After all that commotion they still managed to leave their babies behind. Now, he was a caretaker of Pippen who firmly had an inking he could take care of himself.

Listening to the rain that seemed to develop into a more calm state Tsarine spoke, "We can always return to the ruins since I pretty know this place like the back of my hoof" he offered with a smile.

He'd mention the huge library that the young buck found ages ago at a later point. "Rain is finally running its course. Ready to head back to your den so you can show me those books?"

It wasn't that he didn't want to stay locked up here in his home. He longed for Homewood now with that effect it had over him. Also, now that he thought about it Tsarine agreed the water was much fresher there then it really was.

User Image Oleander's ears twitched as he listened to the patter of the rain. It did seem that it was moving off and it would be easier to move around in. This pleased him that he could get these new books to his den, even lead the younger buck there. There seemed to be many doors opening before them. A budding friendship was growing there and many things pulling them closer together. Not only that they were both Solar users. Nah. That was just a happy coincidence. Shaking his head as he seemed lost in his own thoughts again, he looked back to Tsarine.

"Yes, before the rain comes around again Never known some storms, they can come around again." Oleander nodded as he looked back to Tsarine. "When we get to the edges of the ruins I can lead us to my home. It is a little small, maybe a little crowded with things. But home is what you make of it, huh?" he chuckled taking one last look around before picking up a small cat figure. An ear had been broken off, but it was still smiling and waving at him. Tucking it too into his satchel, Oleander awaited for Tsarine to move on out. He was anxious to get home and see what was inside the books. Oh the many secrets to be had.

Tsarine looked around the room as if he was saying farewell to an old friend. This place stayed preserved since the day he left it behind once before. His beloved bucket, book, and other oddities in metal and plastic. Like Olelander there was a prized cat that seemed to wave at him giving a sense of happiness. With everything piled safely in his bucket he turned to Olelander. Nodding he picked up his bucket then turned for the entrance he'd traveled for years here. His mind wandering with how much time he'd spent in the ruins how old he truly was. Time passed at its own leisure that a foal couldn't even fathom or contemplate where it truly began or ended.

Making his way past the waterfall he settled the bucket on the soft ground drinking deeply. It was an honor to partake of this water that kept him strong for years. Olelander probably thought he was a bit crazy but it was tradition to him personally. Nodding again he continued on his way. Taking careful steps he weaved in and out of buildings continuing over rumble and broken glass. If he heard a faint "cling clank" noise he avoided that path. Usually it was metal that collapsed. A certain scratching noise singled him to glass or wood caving downward. As the plants took back what the others coveted, the buildings crumbled in submission. Things were slowly yet rapidly changing as his hooves followed the path to where they had first met.

Along the way he paused where his bucket had laid undiscovered with faint Cat Beast tracks, What if there were more of them he pondered? A pack of them could take down a healthy noulicorn if they set their eyes on prey. Shivering he kept walking in and out of the buildings hoping those creatures were busy elsewhere. Pausing he heard something, a growl perhaps somewhere in the darkness followed with a hiss. Taking that as a sign his pace picked up carrying him to the spot where Olelander first met him.

Breath heaving his ears swiveled looking for signs of movement, "Okay this is where we ran into each other. Sorry, I panicked but, there's been some strange creatures apparently coming into the ruins".

Looking around him once more he nodded to Olelander. It was time to head out and look forward to other things.

User Image It seemed that his new friend was just as eager to leave the place as he was. Well, maybe not the place he had lived at, but the ruins them selves. If he had the power, Oleander would have loved to move the sanctuary of his young friend to Homewood, but that was a feat that no Noul could do. At least none that he had ever heard of. Still new things were being discovered every day and who knew what sort of new magics were being released by the great tree.

Shaking his head, clearing the thoughts away, he focused on the path back. Minding where he was placing his hooves. Ears flicking at the slightest of sounds that could be heard within the Ruins. There was the ever shifting of things as the buildings settled even more as their foundations were cracked beyond repair. Oh how he wished he could see what the had looked like in their prime! To travel back to when these Others were living on the planet... Though he didn't much want to see the destruction that they had done. That was still going on now, even with their help, the wounds were still deep in Vykeli's hide.

Again lost within his own little world Oleander nearly bumped into Tsarine when he stopped. Giving the place a glance around, he nearly didn't see the younger buck pick up his pace. A little confused by these actions, Oleander picked up his own and before long they were back to where they had started. Giving himself a moments rest, he looked to the buck.

"That's alright, there are many things out here that can make a buck jumpy." he nodded, not really thinking of the beasts that roamed. Beasts that were said to have been things the Others had left in their haste to leave the planet many eons ago.

"Now to get my bearings a little..." he paced to one of the doors in the building, he squinted outside before looking back. "This way, we head almost straight on and into the trees. My home ain't too far from here. Far in enough to avoid bad beasties from this place. But close enough to scavenge what one can." he grinned before stepping back outside and into the wet.

It was a near straight shot from there to his home. Not that he really planned it, but it was what it was. The night was growing on them fast and if he knew the beasts here and that was very little.. Never really took the time to read up about them in what Noul scrolls he had. Oleander wasn't about to let one get close enough to smell him, let alone have a nibble.. Nah, he wanted to be safe and at home before the last of the light was gone..

The rain had lessened to pitter patter among the leaves and crumbing buildings as Tsarine followed Olelander toward the exit. So it seemed that the Cat Beast had brought friends which he was glad hadn't made an appearance before now. His bucket was safe in his presence along with treasured belongings. Even a Cat Beast couldn't deprive him of such happiness.

Then his thoughts juggled to reality as two nouls he'd seen a glimpse of before entering the ruins. In passing he noted the Doe was a Wolf Bay quiet in nature as she passed by. The Buck was much taller then Olelander with a rigid appearance to him. He seemed more muscle then magic with a strong gaze that turned to meet Tsarine's. The doe younger then the taller Buck also glanced toward Tsarine her mind seemed to wander, looking through him. One last interesting thought to note was the symbol on the blue tabard blowing in the air escaping past them. This was a noulicorn of purpose, of seriousness that sent a shiver down the young buck's back.

Both of them seemed interested that Tsarine carried a bucket full of items from the ruins. Surely, they wouldn't ask him where he retrieved everything he feared. Instead, they both nodded to him in respect before passing into the mouth of the ruins. Tsarine had strayed a bit behind Olelander catching a glimpse of the two passing by. Picking up speed he caught his stride behind Olelander heading toward his den. There was so much to learn about magic and many other things.

Thinking once again his adventure in life was only just beginning yet again...
