 Jim's eyes light up with awe at all the challenges he wanted so badly to go and prove to silver he could do all those things he practice so often even now alone in hopes that Odelia would take him along with her but she never came home... Sitting up after all was told he enjoyed the story about how silver met his wife knowing that if he wanted to join this man he was gonna have to convince his mother he could do it,"Your right... be scared.. of rejection more so I'm scared of her crying", he told him honestly,"Its hard to see.. but if I want this... I already said I was wiling to sacrifice a lot in it..", turning,"I'll be back down by the waters edge tonight.. I think you won't have an issues with the merchants considering they all liked the business", he pointed towards the towns square,"As long as nothing goes bad then everyone should be welcomed", he told him turning he left the house; He stood outside of his door for a few minutes feeling the nervousness break in and then feeling himself slowly lean foward grab the handle and open the door to the dark room....

As much as i can keep those swabs in line they are still pirates, and as a whole they are a rowdy bunch ... but they know this town is like sacred ground, fear of yer sister's name might keep em in check" he said then saw the door to Jim's home "though if i were to be completely honest, Jim .... if yer ma is as fierce as yer sister then should any of my men try anything then they might end up a beaten pulp as a mercy" he said before Jim opened the door and Long John peaked a bit inside "I'll wait out here for you lad .... but remember; yer ma's word is what will change me mind, nothing less"

Jim nearly jumped at the sound of silver behind him forgetting he was going to make sure he went through with this so jim couldn't pull a fast one on him nodding slowly the boy went inside and called out,"Ma you home?", he said hearing a soft creak as she got out of her bed and came into the small kitchen area near the door with a shawl around her shoulders, she looked at him solemnly as he nervously gulped and said,"I.. wanna... ask..", he said seeing her bleak eyes made this harder than he thought,"Ma i want you to let me go with silver to find Odelia!!", he blurted out at once as jim panicked closing his eyes expecting to hear a bunch of complaints but when he looked up she was moving to the stove,"You going to leave me?", she asked quietly feeling guitly he shook his head,"No Ma I'm....", he stopped himself,"I told.. silver I wanted to go.. I want to bring her home to you", he said feeling himself tearing up as she turned to him frowning,"Look... I know your hurting okay..?! Da died a couple of years ago and she has been gone for 17 years..! Its not right she should have been home by now but silver says she is still alive let me find her and tell her you miss her I know she would come back if she cared I know she would!", he stubbornly said,"And if she doesnt I'll make her come back!", said jim getting caught up in the emotion of his own conversation,"I don't care if she is scary I dont care if she is a killer of men I'll make her come back so you know she is alive!", sarah began to tremble,"Jim wait..", she said feeling herself growing scared inside scared to lose the last of her children scared to lose the only child she ever birthed,"There is something you need to know about her... about your sister...", she said quietly as jim's face did a complete 360 in dropped into silent nervousness as sarah went on,"She.. its complicated.. I can't tell you the whole story but I'm not even sure if Odelia is your real sister..", she told him frowning; Jim felt himself walking back and nearly tumbling over his own feet he caught himself on the wall looking at his mother feeling his heart beat,"Wh...at?", he said nearly shocked to death,"I'm sorry jim.. I can't tell you anything more if you want to find out more.. your going to have to find her..", said sarah quietly,"Just try not to die okay.. just try to get back to me..", then turned and left him in the living room the boys eyes were dilated and he felt some un-natural feeling in his heart as he opened the door to see silver standing there sweat dripping from his face as he was pale,"I need some air..", said jim not feeling so well the boy nearly felt sick having been told his whole life until this point that Odelia may not even be his own sister?! what was that suppose to mean!?!

☠.. them that dies will be the lucky ones ..☠Ship: 'The Lady of Fortune' Silver looked confused at Jim, but he didn't press, instead he put him in a one arm hug for a bit and let go "here lad ..." he said as he reached into his pocket and got out a ginger root and cut off a slice before handing the slice to him "chew on that, it does well for sea sickness and nerves" he said and walked him to the beach. He didn't want to say he heard the conversation, it would open up a few awkward questions he wasn't quite ready to explain yet, but after hearing Sarah Hopkins ... he began to get his suspicions. "i erm ... i heard her say yes. At least that was the only thing i could hear ... you should be proud to have such a soul for a ma, no matter what" he said giving him a kind smile

Jim found himself slowly calming down the closer they got to the ocean now he had to find her.. if not it would eat him alive to figure out what his ma meant when silver said she was a good soul he smiled,"Yea.. she is..", he said,"I feel... bad.. leaving her after da died but I think she will be good until I get back", he said quietly,"She is very strong... I think she is..", he smiled trying to calm his own nerves with the help of silvers ginger root he found himself finally calming down,"Now.. I know I can't just hop on board you want to run those test on me.. I better prove to you I can at least be useful at sea", he told him,"Whenever your ready I am", he told him; Finally feeling alot better though this whole new light was going to probably affect his mood for the rest of the day... instead of a talkative questioning boy he would probably be quiet with his own thoughts;

☠.. them that dies will be the lucky ones ..☠Ship: 'The Lady of Fortune'  nodding, Silver approached the beach just as Israel Hands rowed back from the ship "Captain, looks like the crew kept their word, not a whiff of rum on 'em and the barrels are still corked he said then looked at Jim raising his eyebrow then back at Long John which the one-legged man only smiled "Jim Hopkins, allow me to introduce my Quartermaster: Israel Hands. Ol' Hands was once the first mate of Blackbeard 'imself" he said as Hands simply nodded but his unspoken question was still lurking in the air so Long John addressed it as he patted Jim's shoulder "Jim here wants to join our crew to find his sister" he said slightly startling him "the Viper?! Barbeque, you can't be serious!" he said but Long John simply grinned and tilted his head "I was afraid of that ... but he's just a kid!" he said as Long John nodded with a shrug "aye, a good Cabin Boy wouldn't you say?" he said as Hands simply sighed and rubbed his eyes "Captain ... this doesn't bode well" he said as Long John's demeanor changed to serious and kept his hand on Jim's shoulder but his Quartermaster continued "the crew will not agree to it and if put to a vote they won't go along with it" he said but to his shock Long John's face became a grin again "doubting Long John after all these years, Israel? You know i always have a plan ... and should Jim prove successful in the basics of piratin then we just might be on the path to rebuildin the Court" he said with a laugh as Flint squawked "Pieces of Eight! Pieces of Eight!"

Jim looked at the man known as Israel and he gave him a cold silent glare it wouldn't be likely he would be able to join so easily seeing as he was already against it but being back up by the captain wouldn't a crew go along with it? Maybe he wasn't really sure how the whole pirate system worked as he looked at Silver with confused eyes as flint began to squawk pieces of eight,"This.. pirate court thing.. Is it necessary for me to know to become a pirate?", he said wondering if thats all it took some knowledge a bit of luck; Meanwhile the people on the island were already mummering among themselves,"It looks like hopkins will leave just like his sister... poor sarah..", the man shook his head,"Wonder why she let him go so easily she can't believe that Odelia is still alive after almost 20 years?", the other man shrugged,"Maybe who knows her name kept the pirates away and we havent seen any since before that boy was born".....

☠.. them that dies will be the lucky ones ..☠Ship: 'The Lady of Fortune' hearing Jim's question, Silver shook his head "not necessary but it'll help" he said then heard some people talk and licked his teeth in thought before noticing someone in the crowd that no one bothered looking at: a man with wavy red hair and a white tunic just looking right at him. the sight of this person seemed to make the captain angry as Isreal, noticing this, turned and saw no one there then looked back at Long John "Captain are you-" "now here this!" Long John said loudly as he hobbled a bit further into the town then stopped "pirates .... this village has been distraught by men who sully the sight of the black flag. i'm here to tell you all this: years ago, a pirate could make his own way in the world but had to follow the Code of the Brethren Court ... and violation of these rules would be met with death to said pirate, one of them was what those blaggards did to you all!" he said looking sternly "the Court was formed after binding the Goddess Colypso into human form but then disbanded after she were freed .... i plan to change all that. I, Long John Silver, am going to find Odelia Hopkins and other pirates that still yet live and reestablish the Court so as nothing like this ever happens again. that the pirates have a governing body to ensure that we are Gentlemen of Fortune and not savages .... and Jim here" he said turning to point to the boy and made up his mind then and there "this boy has the makin's of greatness in 'im!" he said then looked to the townspeople "mark me: Odelia Hopkins will return, Jim here will be a pirate to rival her reputation .... and the Brethren Court will live again. and you all? you'll grow and live and prosper! and you will aaaaaall remember that it was Jim Hopkins who made it all possible" he said as Israel closed his eyes and smirked before looking at Jim "Barbeque is dangerous as a speaker as well as a fighter" he said then watched as Long John looked back and hobbled onto the beach before Israel took in a breath "lad ... i hope you're sure about your choice in all this ... i think the captain just made up his mind despite what trials he has in mind for ya" he said giving him a smirk and caught up with Long John and both whispered "you saw him again, didn't you?" he said as Silver just sighed in frustration "aye .... if he's here then there's no doubt my suspicions are on point ... what nerve does he have? eh?" he challenged as Mr. Hands remained stoic "he left! when i was hardly able to remember him" he said making Israel crossed his arms "the boy reminds you of yourself when you were his age" he guessed as Long John sighed and nodded sadly before the Quartermaster nodded himself and took in a breath "i'll inform the crew ... i'll have Anderson and George to stay with the ship, bring em a plateful when you cook tonight ... you'll be alright?" he said making Long John nod once more "aye ... his blood is mine i need to square with this but i can't ... like he taunts me ..." he said to himself then took in a breath "inform the crew no rum is still an order, we leave a dawn ... and bring in the velvet bag in my cabin" he said as Israel nodded and went off as Long John took off his hat and fanned himself before looking to find a spare row boat

Jim watched as silver began to tell the villagers to quiet their gossip and something about him going to bring back the pirate court this was alot to take in just mere half an hour ago his other told him Odelia may not be his real sister... he tried to settle in this talk of greatness but the boy felt somewhat embarrased and shifted his shoes on the sand while Silver ranted,"I probably won't amount to anything like her.. anyways..", he muttered to himself as the town people thought the pirate went crazy and just smiled and back away before walking away feeling ashamed of sayin anything the old timers knew the terror of what men could do but the younger generation were already starting to set up a massive bonfire on the beach for the pirates and began to prepare tables of food, a young merchant approached silver,"Dont' mind them they are bitter about the past if your willing to prove your hospitality and not ruin us we will do our part to", he smiled at silver,"
Enjoy yourself on the beach rest up and let us know if you need supplies", he told him as Jim rolled his eyes it was the Mayors son no less trying to be a big shot hero in town and please everyone but at least he wasn't doing anything wrong by the pirates... It just always got under neathe his skin that he would say that Odelia was probably the best thing that happened to this place and he could never step into her shoes; Jim approached slowly stuffing his hands into his pants pockets,"Thanks William", he smiled at him which he seen the slight irriated look before he waved him goodbye,"Its a pleasure jim...", he then turned away as jim said to silver,"That guy is a typical example of being a rich man", he told him crossing his arms;

Jim followed close behind him listening to silver's knowledge as he managed to walk beside him sitting near him by the bonfire as the sun began to set, he listened to him say something crazy like 200 year old bird,"Wait what!", said jim puzzled as to here silver say the bird was close to 200 years old,"There is no way that bird can-", he was cut short by silver's words as his gaze looked up at the young boy Jim's brown eyes dropped feeling himself seem to scrunch up,"I mean.. its not that I doubt your words silver but.. how am I destined for greatness when I have never done anything great in my life?", he said looking up at him with large sorrowful eyes,"How is a boy... not even a man yet suppose to make a staple in life?", he heard stories of odelia defeating pirates how she killed and poisoned them but he wasn't sure how a person as young as her could have started an act of blood so young and for what reason.. when the whole world she lived in was fear; He looked up at silver solemnly,"I just.. dont think I could ever be as great as her.. I dont think I could have people believe in me like people have believed in her.. because I have never took a step until now to do anything..", he confessed,."And I'm not even sure if this is the right step to take";

☠.. them that dies will be the lucky ones ..☠Ship: 'The Lady of Fortune' hearing Jim's confession, Long John sat silently contemplating what to say. it was always his weakness; his compassion. so, he decided to tell the truth. "when i was a bit older than you, i started off on a merchant ship. just a deck hand .... i would still be had Flint's ship and crew not boarded that ship. i lied and told 'em i was a cook. well ... i knew some cookin but it were no profession. i did it to save me own skin and for another reason; Flint was tracking a Spanish treasure fleet who's ledger was kept hidden less pirates boarded .... and when i found out about it, about what he was after-" he said before making an excited sigh "seven hundred million English pounds worth of gold, so i stuck with them. i didn't care about them, i only cared about the money ... so much so i did everything i could to ensure Flint needed me .... cause Long John Silver has a very long memory and i had the ledger" he said chuckling then started to frown as he absentmindedly rubbed his missing leg "James Flint was ... a complicated man; heartless yes ... ruthless and cruel absolutely ... but he had a sort of ... kindness under all that, wasn't much but it was there. that was the difference between me an him i think" he said then looked at the crew that came ashore who were laughing, dancing and cleaning their gear "thing is .... i spent months with this lot ... they hated me and i thought nothing of them, soon as i had the money i was going to live a life of luxury and want for nothing .... but then somethin' happened, Jim, somethin i had no way of knowin' would have ever come to be ... we got along" he said with a chuckle "i started to actually like them, for all there faults .... 'course .... that had me pay a hefty price" he said patting his missing leg "i earned there loyalty, there respect ... so much so i was both loved and feared, even by ol' Flint himself and he feared no man .... i became his quartermaster because i showed i gave a d**n about the crew" he said then looked at Jim softly and poked the pig to tenderize it on the fire "what i'm saying Jimbo ... is that no one starts off great, but greatness can show up even for the smallest of things. so don't think to be better than yer sister .... be better than who you are now, set yer own course and stick to it! no matter the storms" he said as Flint bobbed her head and looked at Jim tilting her head making small whistles "wind in the sails! raaaak! Olympus on high" he said making Long John look at the bird in curiosity before looking back at Jim "lad ... if yer having second thoughts, then i won't blame ya ... but we're pirates, not heroes ... bein sung praises it's not somethin we get a luxury of" he said as he checked the pork and got a bowl getting a bit off and handed Jim it and a utensil while the other pirates dug in as well "we sing our own praises ... cause no one else will"

Jim looked up at silver listening to his story of how he came to be what he was today.. He always dreamed of being her in his eyes she was a hero not a pirate in the eyes of these people she was a hero to... No one from that day knew what happened all they knew is there was a bunch of boys a single girl and by the next morning they were all gone.. lost to the world of the sea; He would continue to be told how she saved this place made it livable again how everyone didn't have to live in fear, he looked over at Silver maybe his biggest discovery wasn't being a pirate but it was the only option he had at the moment he couldn't just well tell silver that he wanted to take free lodging to go and find his sister; Though the excitement of being a pirate... the thrill of the chase.. the way of the sea, this code.. he wanted to learn more maybe there was more to being a pirate than just pillaging ships and drinking booze.. He looked up at silver with an acknowledged nod he smiled,"Yea..... your right maybe I won't be famous like her but I do want to make my own path... I have a promise I intend to keep find her bring her back.. but after that..", he told silver standing up,"I want to learn the code.. I want to bring back what was lost", he nodded to him,"Can you teach me?", he said;

Jim Hopkins Jim looked up and over at silver as the exchange of a pistol was brought out and then handed over to jim as silver explained the history of this beautiful weapon but what surprised jim more this was probably one of the first test that jim had to past.. was loading and shooting a gun.. He glanced at the weapon it was kept in good condition and from what silver told him it was part of the code to keep it nice and clean; He frowned this would be the first time he would hold and load a pistol in his life but he had seen others own guns and he would watch from afar he had to learn if he wanted to become a pirate; First he began to run his fingers over the engraving familiarizing himself with the gun before taking up the powder, he carefully poured the powder down the guns muzzle and then proceeded to detached the ramrod before snugly placing the bullet inside he would then prime the gun that he had seen by the old timers, once he was sure it would fire he nodded towards Silver and sat up,"Where do I aim?", he asked unsure if he managed to get it all done in the first shot but he was going to hope that it was good enough;
