Nodding eagerly, the male took another bite of his dinner, his imagination beginning to go off to show thoughts that he wasn’t quite sure what to think of, and with a soft laugh, he nodded. “Sounds good to me. I get off at six, why don’t you meet me at the Lotus Cove restaurant? I’m in the mood for Chinese food, I think. And, I agree, we should eat away from the dogs, but we can enjoy the popcorn with them!” He looked so excited and smiled, with a new sort of shyness.
“I’ll meet you there around six thirty? If that sounds good to you then.”
Jacob dropped his eyes, and worked hard to drive away the blood that had suddenly flooded his cheeks.
“Then it’s a date.”

"A date," he agreed promptly; he wasn't quite finished with his food but he couldn't imagine eating another bite. He didn't want to spoil his appetite for this evening, not when he knew how good the food at the Lotus Cove was. He didn't seem to pick up on any of Jacob's newfound shyness, nor did he seem even particularly aware of the flush on the other man's cheek.
He cleaned up the remainder of his food and packed it away easily; he wasn't going to be able to finish eating it, but he knew he was going to head straight home and make sure he had everything ready for tonight. The dog's would appreciate a little treat so it wasn't like it was any money wasted.
"I'm going to go get the rest of my errands finished up so I can clear off my schedule for tonight. Maybe tomorrow, too. In case I'm tempted to sleep in," he laughed. "I'll see you soon. I won't be late. I might have to pick up a few movies, I'm afraid you'll get bored with my collection otherwise."
He smiled so earnestly that the corners of his eyes crinkled. "I'll see you in a few hours, Jacob--I hope the rest of your day goes quickly. I hope it's not as boring as it looks--but if it is, we'll just have to do something fun tonight to make up for it."

Jacob had a few ideas of what could make up for the dull repetition of his job, but he kept his mouth shut, unable to stop the smile on his face. “That all sounds perfect. I’m off tomorrow so we don’t have to rush into anything if we don’t want to. It’ll be a great start of the weekend.”
It seemed like a great start to a lot of things, if he were going to be honest with himself.
“Why don’t you go and do your errands, and I’ll see you soon? Call me if anything comes up.” He finally let his eyes slide back to his computer screen and sighed softly, glancing up at the male once more. “Thank you for this. It was so very wonderful and really brightened my whole day…and I can’t want to see you again in a few hours. Hurry up and go now so I can maybe finish up early today. I want to see you again, so get out!”
The male chuckled and stretched lightly before putting his fingers back on the keys. “And please, do this often. I loved it.”
