Shale reared onto her hind feet, glaring that the Giant on the rock. "This is our DESTINY!" She gasped. She'd just shouted at a Giant. Was she about to be eaten? Who was this giant to tell her she couldn't begin life at the Pool?

 Clouded Dawn was trying to keep the kits from rolling towards the pool when the shouting began. She looked up sharply, here eyes darting from rabbit to spotted rabbit as she tried to figure out what they were shouting about. Something about destiny? And a great trek? She certainly had never seen rabbits like them before, so it was not hard to believe they'd come from far away. Sitting up on her haunches, she called out, "What do you mean by destiny? And where did you come from?" She looked between the two spotted rabbits who had spoken, hoping one of them would answer. WC: 104 TWC: 508

Lillypad had been forging near Nym's pool. She had often kept to herself so the talk of strange rabbits and sickness was news to her. She was lost in her forging when her ears twitched. Yelling? Here? She leaned back onto her haunches noise sniffing the light breeze. What was going on? She made her way to the noises and found herself looking at a crowd that had gathered. She looked to a dark brown rabbit. "What is going on here?" She nibbled on some grass that she had gathered nervously. She heard talk of treks and destiny.  Reflection watched as Moonbeam perched herself somewhere everyone gathering could see her. And she told them their rules of the pool. He inhaled and exhaled slowly, nodding as he and the other guardians were acknowledged. Right. His cool gaze traveled along all those not of the pool. Their timers were ticking.
Ears swiveling forward, Reflection narrowed his eyes at the first buck that spoke, taking in his appearance quickly before crossing his arms. "And so it begins." He muttered towards Reed, glower growing as these visitors dared to challenge the lady Moonbeam. With a gentle nudge to Reed, Reflection poised himself as much between their two doe attendants of the pools and this unsightly grouping of visitors.
"And my destiny is to ensure you lot don't abuse your visit and the pool." Reflection tried very hard not to growl. He managed more of a gruff, very much annoyed tone instead.

 Loam worked her way closer to the pool and Moonbeam. If this crowd decided to get anymore excitable, things could get ugly. Desperate rabbits would sink everyone just to save themselves. Loam settled on a spot at the edge of the Nymph's Pool, close enough to Moonbeam to help. As much as Loam disliked crowds and lots of noise, her job as attendant over-rides that. She watched the crowd of rabbits as Moonbeam addressed them and made the rules of Nymph's Pool abundantly clear. Reflection suddenly appeared nearby and he put in his 2 cents that any nay sayers will be dealing with him. Loam just really hoped this crowd didn't try anything funny. WC: 114 Total: 370

 Soot, ever the story chaser, had been making his way to the Nymph's Pool for a quick respite and visit. He'd heard about a group of odd rabbits making their way this direction and hadn't caught sight of them. That is until he arrived at the Nymph's Pool and it was crowded?! Soot's eye lit up as he spotted a bunch of odd bunnies near the pool, a doe was on a rock addressing the crowd and some start to shout. Well this should be exciting, so many story opportunities here. So Soot made his way closer to all the other rabbits excitedly. WC: 103 Total: 473 +sickness roll

Cobalt wasn't one to be part of a conflict so he kept his mouth shut when the shouting began. The air felt tense as the doe spoke to the strange bunnies. "Destiny? Seems like an odd choice of words,"the buck muttered. He stretched his legs out before him as a sneeze overtook him. The sickness spread throughout the lands and had reached him on his way over. Cobalt sat up, watching the bunnies in the pool cause a ruckus. "If those bunnies aren't from around here then where to they come from?"he thought. wc:94

Bark poked his head out of his burrow at the edge of the pool and blinked in shock. What... were all these rabbits doing here? It was like his first week on the job! He cleared his throat and readied himself to go out and be the best guardian he could be. Hopping forward he approached a group that were clustering around Moonbeam. Some rabbits he recognized as other members of the warren, other from around Hopscotch, and some he didn't recognize... from anywhere... What was going on? He could already feel some tension in the air and he did not like it. "Hi there, I'm Bark, a Guardian of this beautiful pool. Is there anything I can help you with today?" He asked this as pleasantly as possible to one of the really weird looking rabbits that seemed to have the most weird tension coming off of her. He didn't really know if Moonbeam or any of the other warren members had spoken to her yet, but he figured why not put himself out there and see what happened. Usually he was pretty good at deescalating things... usually anyway. wc:190 total:190

Rosemary watched the drama unfold from the shadows of some tall grass. She was absolutely not interested in any of this stupidity, but if there was something to come of it all that would cure her... not illness... she wanted to be here for it. She eyed a spotted buck nearby who looked eager and excited. Perfect. She didn't want to involve herself necessarily, but she would need to keep an eye on this one because he seemed like he would be meddling in things with his perky eagerness and then she could use him for information. She made sure to stay a few hops behind him but silently followed him through the growing crowd and kept her ears perked for any information. wc:123 total:313

Despite being the shy skittish bun he was, Marbled Dirt decided he would follow Bramble Bark for the time being. Even if it meant coming to these bun infested pools in which he was scared of. Well it was not really the pools he was scared of but the buns. Marbled was not really a social bun. But, like Bramble he too wanted to cure his sickness, and perhaps this was the only way.
The sight of so many other buns as they approached the pools caused Marbled to halt and freeze up. His dark brown orbs fell on Bramble as the other continued into the crowd of buns unafraid. Marbled's body was shaking so much from his fear that he could hardly move from the spot he stopped at.
"Bramble Wait up" the soft squeak came from the other, as he rushed over to the bun he had been following. Though it seems the hops he took were a bit much as he had just wanted to get to him quickly, he ended up sliding face-first into the backside of his friend.

 Hawberry let out a long sigh as the sight of the Pool finally greeted his eyes. He felt like he'd been all over Hopscotch trying to chase this story down. From his home in the Bough to Sunset Acres and now here. This whole thing was turning in to a lot of work! Oh well, he was here now. As he hopped closer to pulled himself up short. What on earth were this many rabbits doing here already?
Thornapple was following his brother, hoping their long trek was over soon. He was a little surprised that the Pool already had quite a crowd. Maybe it wasn't their idea alone to chase down this story and find out what's going on. He spied the buck they'd run in to over in Sunset Acres.
He hopped up to him. "Bramble. Nice to see you again. Have we missed anything?"

Shale eyed the giant who was now questioning her. "We were banished from our home... Because there was something wrong with us ..." Her ears sunk, and her voice got very quite, hard to hear over the rain pattering on the pool. "We lived on the margins for so long ... But we made it here, in this place where rabbit-kind isn't even supposed to be able to live. But we did it. It's our destiny. To survive, even after our banishment."

Clouded Dawn tilted her head curiously at the strange doe's answer. Something wrong with them? She wanted to ask what, but feared that would be rude. When the stranger continued more quietly, she had to p***k her ears forward and listen hard to catch her words. Even then, she wasn't heard she heard right. "Where rabbit-kind isn't supposed to live? You mean here? But there are plenty of rabbits here!" she said incredulously. Her eyes swept across the gathered crowd, which she noticed kept getting bigger. "All the rabbits here should be proof enough, and we're surely just a fraction of the rabbits that live in this land." The kits chose that moment to roll through a puddle, and the splash caught her attention. She looked down at them to see the pair had gotten all muddy as they wrestled. "Ah, kits, get back here!" she said, and hopped forward to corral them. She scooped them close to her belly, where they could at least be warm until she could clean them properly. They squirmed for a few moments, then nestled into her fur and settled down. WC: 187 TWC: 695

"Heh, yeah, I see that... Quite a lot of them by the looks of it," Reed noted. He couldn't even begin to count them and it appeared that all the commotion was only drawing in more visitors. He *really* hoped they would be good visitors and he wouldn't have to act as the "bad guy" and remove them. They were awfully excited to be here... The guardian watched Moonbeam as she took to a rock nearby and began to address the crowd, laying down the law. Visit if you want, but don't stick around, the way it had always been. Then began the protests. A one-eyed rabbit spoke first, going on about a giantess, Moonbeam he supposed, some destiny, and a great trek. Then another, a strange doe, joined, calling loudly that it was their destiny. None of it made sense to him, but he really didn't want a fight to break out as a result. It most certainly wouldn't end well for anyone. "Eugh, yeah..." Reed agreed with Reflection, following the other buck's lead to position himself between the crowd and the attendants. He took a more cautious, calm tone when addressing crowd in contrast to his fellow guardian. Whatever it took, it was important to keep the peace. "What he means is, we know you're all very enamored by the Pool, we can't just be letting any bunny who wants to come and live here. It's delicate and it's our job to preserve it." 246 words 547 total
