Today was the big day. The young angel smiled excitedly, and nervously. Today was the day that they opened the doors to the mansion-sized building that would take in wayward souls here down in Hell, and give them a place to call home. Once the doors opened, there might be a flood of people waiting to get in. With all of the terrible living conditions down here in this realm, people will be waiting in line trying to get a room in this hotel, right? All they had to give in return was agree to participate in their rehabilitation center program. It was a small price to pay for room and board. And not to mention, if they passed rehab, the gates of Heaven would welcome them in with open arms. Hopefully people weren't going to fight over rooms, there was probably going to be high demand!

After all, hundreds of years ago, the Angels of Heaven decreed that, because of the overpopulation in Hell, they would work with the Grim Reaper to clear out a small percentage of Demons several times per year. These souls were picked purely at random. If you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, the Reaper would harvest your soul and you would be erased from existence. Simple as that. It wasn't meant to be cruel, but merely because SOMETHING had to be done. Hell had become quite popular in the recent years, even more so than usual lately. Erasing souls out of existence was a shame, especially since Hell was build to cage all of the evil souls that didn't want to bother behaving. It was there to punish bad people; technically by that logic everyone down here deserved it, erasing their soul was actually a gift to end their suffering. However, Hell had it's appeal to the truly, deeply evil souls. Hell was their playing field. They enjoyed it here. They didn't want to be put out of their misery. But something HAD to be done. If the trend of being bad kept on going, Hell would be so overpopulated that the seams of reality might burst at the seams. So instead the Angels and the Grim Reaper were forced to delete souls at random, to make room for the fresh new dark souls flooding in from Earth.

Out of desperation, the Angels finally had the idea of trying to convert evil souls into redeemed souls, so that souls that were truly and honestly repentant could be welcomed into Heaven. It didn't take much to be allowed into Heaven, but down here that could be a really BIG ask, considering the fact this place is literally the garbage-dumpster for evil kind.

But Kisa truly believed in the good of people. Even in Demons. Anyone could change to do better, even if only a little. Even the smallest amount of effort to be a better person went MILES down in this evil hell hole of a place. Since the conditions were so bad outside, surely people would LOVE to stay here and just play a bit nicer with each other. Kisa had high hopes that even the smallest act of kindness could change a person down to their core. After all, her entire family's philosophy was in justice and forgiveness. If one repents and tries to do better, then the possibilities are limitless, even for a damned soul. She wasn't super confident that tons of souls could be worthy to take back to Heaven anytime soon, but even one changed Demon would mean a lot to her. Even saving one single soul would be worth it!

The naive little Angel tried to smile to herself again, trying to resist the urge to hide. Hell was pretty scary outside of these walls, it was making her really nervous to open the doors. But she knew she had to try hard to do her best, especially since her father and uncle pleaded her to do this. Her mission was to run this hotel with her companion Thorival, as best as they could, and try to salvage some souls. Thorival was born down in Hell, in a group of wayward Angels that darkened their wings and decided to betray their holy brothers and sisters. These types were referred to as Fallen Angels, for the simple fact that they were no longer holy Angels, but also not a Demon either. However they chose to reside in Hell. Thorival however, abandoned his evil family and begged for forgiveness from the Angels. They welcomed him back with open arms. And his success story in fact inspired this entire idea of opening up a hotel to attempt in giving evil people a second chance. And maybe, just maybe, they could spare more souls and bring them to Heaven.

That's what she hoped, anyway, as she waited for Thorival at the door. She smiled a little at him, still trying to hide how terrified she was, not knowing what was on the other side of the door. But she forced herself to muster up the courage, placed her petite hands on the handle, and gently swung the door open.

"Welcome to the Heavenly Hotel~!"

Thorival Reseria

"....."
Nobody is at the door when it opened.

"How?..... I don't understand..."

With complete and utter shock, Thorival scanned the surroundings before the building. Hellfire rained in the distance with lightning striking the clouds.

"There is no possible way that the door to the hotel will be this barren of.... redeemable souls....."

A grimace plastered all over his face.

"Kisa.... I am...."

The redeemed angel turns to Kisa to see how she looked in this moment...

Kisa blinked, dumb-founded.

There was.... no one there.

Not a SINGLE person. Not even ONE.

In that moment she felt as though she had already failed. Her eyes watered a tiny bit, and Kisa quickly darted her eyes to the floor, looking softly ashamed for a moment. This was her uncle's and father's dream, to have the hotel filled with wayward folks that wanted a chance at their own little piece of heaven. But... no one was interested. She was honestly surprised; who the hell would want to live down here?

She didn't let herself look too sad, but she was biting back a small amount of tears. She couldn't give up here-! Maybe people were just... late? Yeah! People were just late! Or lost. Or maybe they didn't get the word out enough. There had to be plenty of reasons why no one showed up to the grand opening. Eventually people would show up, she had to have faith!

"I-It's okay, Thorival..." Kisa tried to smile half-heartedly. "People will come eventually, we just have to be ready and waiting with open arms!" The little angel said, and then walked back into the foyer. There were a few other Angels here living in the mansion, too, there was a wing specifically for the angels to live her as staff to help run the place. Odstarva and Prism were probably putting their things away in their rooms, and she didn't want to bother them, so she just started tidying up the opening party snacks, hoping maybe a couple people would show up.

It couldn't be that difficult to find Demons that wanted a second chance, right?

Josef

In the distance, two figures are moving towards the building. Visible from where Thorival and Kisa are standing. One is a larger framed silhouette with horns while a smaller frame is strolling along them.

After a while, they arrive to the front of the building. A large blonde haired demon with a perpetual grin plastered on his face while he surveys the area.

"I would say I am late, but since no one else showed up, wouldn't that make me early? Regardless. Me and Zuni chan are here for the s**t show!"

The demon extends his hand to Kisa.

"Name's Josef Verruckt, Demon lord of the 7th Hell. Nice T'meet ya! You're the one in charge of this travesty?"

The Demon's eyes glint with a small amount of malevolence.

"How much are the godssssss Paying you?"

Prism

Prism was wasting no time unpacking in her new room, trying to get settled at the very least. She didn't want to waste too much time though, because she knew Kisa was going to let the guests in an any minute. The hotel was already pretty spotless, but she wanted to get a head start on making sure it stayed that way.

The girl was also terrified out of her mind at the moment. She was really in hell, and about to help souls be redeemed, and of course she had jumped in as soon as she heard word of it. Not that she regretted her decision, she just feared she would regret it at one point in the near future. Also, demons were just downright scary. It was mind boggling to her that some of them really enjoyed themselves down here.

Prism tucked her small suitcase under her bed, tying her hair back as she walked towards the door to her room. She gave a little sigh, working up the courage to open the door and do what she promised she would do. She opened the door and stepped out, making sure she closed the door behind her, and that it was locked.

Wynter

Just a few minutes after the hotel's first "guests" had walked to the front door, Wynter's figure could be seen walking towards the scene a little ways away. Of course as she got closer, you could see the fact there was a bottle of alcohol in her hand, but thankfully she wasn't walking with a sway. Upon getting about 30 feet away, she tossed the bottle aside, stopping and hesitating for a moment when she saw both Josef and Zuni standing at the now open doors.

To be honest, she didn't expect anyone else to be at the place. She knew as much as anyone else down here that 99% of the damned souls enjoyed their free reign in hell, so why would they give it up just to be bound by rules again? Simple answer is that they wouldn't want to.

Wynter continued walking, making sure to keep her distance from the two that had arrived before her. She wasn't willing to take very many chances now that she had the opportunity to get out of this s**t hole, but first, she wanted to know why exactly they were here. The girl didn't look amused at all, and of course the blonde looked simply ecstatic, but not in a very good way.

Kisa occasionally looked towards the open doors, and after a while she noticed two figures walking towards the hotel. Eeeee! That was faster than she was expecting after such a disappointing door-opener. Two at once, that's great! Her spirits were instantly lifted, until.......... until he opened his mouth.

A s**t show? Well that was kind of rude! She tried not to let a bad word upset her, she supposed that that kind of talk was probably normal down here after all. She let it wash off of her.

And then he continued, and called this place a travesty. It was like bullets being spat at her and all over her family's dreams. She bit her lip a tiny bit, trying really hard to not take offense... but it sounded kind of mean...

He just doesn't know any better. Kisa convinced herself, remaining completely calm, smiling warmly at him and shaking his hand with her petite hand.

"I-It's nice to meet you, Josef Verruckt. I'm Kisa Mirai. And these are my companions, Thorival and Prism. I-I'm not really in charge per-say, it's a team effort!"

Kisa blinked. Paying her? Huh? What did he mean by that.

"U-Umn... Nothing...? Why would they be paying me?"

Her turquoise orbs then noticed a third person come in, and she waved cheerfully. "Welcome to the Heavenly Hotel! I'm Kisa, What's your name?" Kisa smiled warmly, starting to feel MUCH better about the opening party turn out.

Thorival Reseria

"........."

The Paladin of the Angels stands threre, stunned at the fact that one of the Demon lords just waltzed up to them and started mouthing off. Every fiber of his being wants to be angry but in the small recesses of his mind, he knows that he does NOT mess with this guy. He just grits his teeth and grins while he holds out his hand to Josef.

"Welcome to Heavenly Hotel, where all your spiritual needs are met and we hope you enjoy your rehabilitation is as painless as possible!"

He closes his eyes and smiles with gritted teeth.

(I hate this I hate this. This is dumb I want to purge him but I can't because Kisa asked me to be nice but.... THE LORD OF THE HELL?)

Josef

With a huge smile, he shakes Kisa's hand with an iron grip. After that he shakes Thorivals with an even heavier grip, hurting the poor angels bones.

"Well it's good to be Heavenly I suppose, Thank you for the 'Warm' Welcome. It is putting the flames of this hellscape to shame. Where is the treats? Wheres the Luxury? I am here to see how you guys do things and make fun of you for your short sightedness on how things work here!."

Josef catches vision of the new arrival.

"Ah, so you came too. Why did you decide to come? To make fun of it or to actually take this seriously? Please answer, either way I will be very disappointed!"

The demon then pats Zuni on the back.

"Come on now, don't be rude. Introduce yourself! You are keeping them all waiting with baited breath for your grand entry!"

Zuni

The lime green haired demon wasn't amused. At all.

Zuni was standing semi-behind Josef, with her arms crossed across her chest. Her bright purple eyes were just glaring all over the room, looking completely perturbed. The fact she was having to tag along on this pointless adventure was utterly annoying. Josef dragged her all the way out here just to poke some fun at these angels? Idiotic. Boring. Stupid. Josef loved this kind of crap though. But she hated it.

She wasn't even supposed to be here, in her opinion. Zuni had been a street rat in her human life; sure, she had to commit small time thefts every so often just to be able to eat. But she had never intentionally or directly hurt someone who didn't attack her first. She had committed several murders in the past, but every single one was solely in self defense. She hadn't had a choice. It was kill, or be killed. So technically every death was manslaughter. However, because of having so many manslaughters, the "system" had automatically dumped her soul here. In HELL. It was complete bullshit.

And the worst of it was, her ultimate hell was come to life. While some demons had the time of their lives down here, Zuni did NOT. She was enslaved to a psychotic a*****e. Everything she hated she was forced to do. She was literally in her own personal hell. And for what? SELF DEFENSE.

So she was bitter as f**k. And angry. And resentful. And all of those things rolled into one always showed in her face and her attitude. It was SCREAMINGLY obvious she did NOT want to be here.

Her violet eyes flicked from one person to another. Kisa. Thorival. Prism. And Wynter just walked in. Great. More people for the sh*t show. Josef was going to enjoy this little circus, which probably meant they were stuck here for a while. Lovely. Just awesome.

Josef reached over and pat Zuni on the back of her shoulder, instantly making her fur on her tail prickle in irritation.

"Come on now, don't be rude. Introduce yourself! You are keeping them all waiting with baited breath for your grand entry!"

Wasn't he the one that already made a 'grand entry'? She didn't want to. Nah. If she didn't Josef would punish her for it later... and she would very much like to avoid that.

The kitny sighed irritatingly, "I'm Zuni." Was all she said, her tail swishing behind her like an angry cat's tail. Her eyes flicked over to Wynter. Was this girl actually going to sign up to be in this stupid hotel? Gross.

Could they just LEAVE ALREADY? This was pointless.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 22, 2019 8:26 pm

Prism

Prism stood off to the side, not daring to get any closer to the outside of the hotel. Already she had felt shivers race up her spine as she stared at Josef, Zuni, and Wynter. The latter two didn't seem too awful, but Zuni had one of the biggest glares she had ever seen in her life, and afterwards of course. The girl with silver eyes hadn't said anything yet, and she didn't know if that was a good or bad thing quite yet.

Josef on the other hand was terrifying, she didn't like him at all. He gave her a horrible feeling. He was exactly the type of demon she was hoping would never even walk to the front door of the hotel. Guess her prayers couldn't be heard this far down in hell.

The white haired angel nervously gripped the bottom of her shirt, looking at the ground to avoid rudely gawking at the three demons. She remained quiet as Kisa and Thorival handled this, silently hoping things didn't go wrong.

Wynter

Wynter gave a soft sigh as she looked at Kisa. The poor girl probably had no idea what she had gotten herself into, either that, or she knew and was hopeful enough to try it. Well one thing was for damn sure, this place would need a whole lot of prayers.

"Wynter. Unlike these clowns over here, I actually want out of this damn place." She jerked a thumb over to both Josef and Zuni, her eyes momentarily meeting them both.

She ignored Josef's little remark with a small roll of her eyes. What a douche. Hopefully he would get bored of this and leave, because she didn't know if she could stand having to listen to his voice. The girl with lime green hair, Zuni or whatever her name was, seemed very happy to be here.

The silver eyed demon folded her arms across her chest, her mouth curving into a frown. It wasn't that she didn't like angels, but sometimes it just made her pissed off to be around them. She hated to be pitied by anyone, and of course, these angels pitied the damned souls that were banned to hell. She didn't like to admit it, but she was jealous of them.

What a pathetic joke, Wynter. Why not grovel at their feet and beg to get out of here this instant? Wynter thought in a venomous manner.

Josef

"Hmm... Now that's not very nice. You should respect the higher power authority. After all, you are a demon in the presence of a Demon Lord."

With a smile, he strolls up to Wynter and puts his arm around her shoulder.

"I mean, I am sooooo nice to my subjects.... You should have heard how I treat loyalty. Even if they want to purify themselves in the name of redemption."

With a smile, he closes his eyes.

(Who is she again? I completely and utterly do not know where she is from and what domain she resides in. Was it the other seven Hells? I know I am the lord of the 7th hell, but the other eight.... She must be from there.)

"Sooo what do you say.... show some..... Ahem.... Respect? You can start by saying 'Yes dear overlord of the 7th hell, I do appreciate your kindness and sincerity in your leadership'. Or something like that...."

With a higher pitched voice, he imitates what he believes would be the voice of a female.

Wynter

What. In. The. Actual. ********.

She went rigid as Josef put his arm around her shoulder. It took every bit of her will to not slap his hand away and let her temper do the rest.

Wynter wasn't entirely stupid though, this was a demon lord she was dealing with, and she would be throwing away all this time she sent trying to AVOID anyone's attention. Another part of her argued against that, because whether it was being erased completely or going to heaven, she didn't care which way she escaped Hell.

The silver-eyed demon decided to compromise and "politely" tell him off, because she refused to play nice with this a*****e, let alone obey him like some dog.

"If I'm leaving this place, you have no authority over me. I'm not one of your subjects and never have been. I don't give a s**t about your damn authority." She stared defiantly at him, before proceeding to attempt to step out of his arm.

Yeah, right. Like I would EVER in my entire EXISTENCE suck up to some batshit psycho like him.

Josef

".................."

The lord of the 7th hell lets his arm free from being wrapped around her and just looks at her coldly, his heterocromatic eyes blink slowly as he processes what was just said to him.

"I see, well. I wish you well in your rehabilitation. Should you fail...."

Josef's eyes glimmer a faint redness.

"You will face the consequences for your insubordinance. I am behaving only because I know the power of the pantheon. Should they leave you to hell, you will answer....."

A huge grin grows on his face.

"To me."

With his fangs bared, he gives a friendly bow and begins walking towards Kisa.

"So what is the first event in order for this.... Rehabilitation? Anonymous introductions where we all sit and introduce ourselves and explain in what sin we like to wallow in? The game where we get gold stars for doing good boy points?"

Kisa noticed instantly that Prism was VERY uncomfortable, and nervous, and probably a little scared. After all, she felt the EXACT same way. She wasn't very good at hiding it, either. Kisa and Prism were two peas in a pod! Kisa felt bad that the other girl was also distressed, and wanted to comfort her, but it was probably best to avoid making Prism get noticed by this... umn... Demon Lord. This guy sure was blunt. And rude. And... CREEPY. Eek!

She tried her best to smile a little as Wynter introduced herself. "H-Hello, Wynter, it's nice to meet you!" Kisa almost looked like a puppy wagging her tail, instantly happy to hear that there was at least ONE soul in this building that wanted to go to Heaven. Yay! There was hope after all! She really wanted to start talking about the program, but then Josef decided to creep all over the girl. Kisa nervously stepped closer to the pair, wanting to be on the cautious side and stop a fight if one broke out. GEEZ, this Josef guy really had NO filter. And goodness, it seemed Wynter didn't have much of one, either.

"A-Aaa...!" Kisa squeaked out, getting increasingly uneasy. "U-Umn I don't mean to be r-rude, Mister Verruckt, but... u-umn..." Oh god please help, she was having to nicely ask him to tone down and she was honestly TERRIFIED on the inside because she had NO IDEA what a Demon Lord of his caliber would be capable of, other than the horror stories she had heard from fellow angels in Heaven. "Could... w-we please try to refrain from provoking one another? This is a safe place, a-and we wouldn't want to deter people from wanting to be here... r-right?" She said it very calmly, hoping her nice suggestion wouldn't anger him.

Kisa squeaked again, in surprise, as he threatened Wynter. "P-PLEASE don't threaten other guests, either-! ... I-I mean... please try not to..."

She paused, trying not to look distressed. "W-Wait... You and other Demons will really punish her if she fails out of the program?" Kisa looked a little surprised, her eyes widening slightly. Was that... true...? No WONDER why no one else showed up to join! It all made sense now...

She fidgeted a little, gently brushing a strand of hair behind her pointed elf-like ear. "Umn... Well, there's not a set-in-stone cookie cutter program for everyone to follow, we were thinking it would be best to tailor each individual's program to cater to their needs. B-But discussing one's sins is definitely the first step!" Kisa explained, nodding her head a little. "Would you like to start us off?"

Technically Wynter was the only person REALLY joining the program so far, but Josef seemed interested in how the program worked, so why not? Kisa was mostly wanting to hear what Wynter had to say about her sins, but she had walked in with a bottle of alcohol so she could take a confident guess of what her number one sin would be...

Wynter

Wynter let her defiant expression falter as she stared at Josef walk towards Kisa. Immediately dread and regret washed over her at her small outburst. She felt almost nauseous in that moment as she realized how badly she had just screwed herself over. She gave a scowl at the ground, clenching her fists a little as her shoulders sagged.

The girl wasn't ready to give up though, not after the bullshit she had been going through for as long as she had been tossed down here. She simply brushed the hair out of her face, and went back to her typical "poker face" of sorts. She'd show him for damn sure that she could handle some rehab, not that it helped with her alcohol addiction before, but now there was something really at stake here. The entire rest of her existence.

Wynter couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the idea of Josef talking about his sins. Surely if he talked about even half of them they would be sitting here for hours, and part of her really didn't want to know what exactly he did to get down here. She didn't think anyone here, including Kisa, was genuinely interested in learning what horrible sins he committed.

She was also starting to regret not finishing the entire bottle of beer before throwing it away, that was probably the last one she'd ever have prior to starting to get clean. Drunkenness was most likely the biggest sin she committed, so they would probably focus on that one first.

But seriously, what a waste.
