He laughed, giddy and humored by her playfulness. It didn't come off as mean or hateful to him, but as a fun play in words and feeding his own hungry desire that danced all around him. The chains around her wrists softened to that of leather cuffs and the links turned to silken loops. Her lips stung here in this world and he licked the blood off his now ruby-red lips.
"We are all pets who bark for Metallia. Don't forget that, and I don't offer my chain to just anyone." He said, moving after her and following towards her as she pulled away. The snakes had all turned to silken ribbons that moved and danced to the fresh salt-water breeze that cut through the dome.
"I'm loyal, yes, but sometimes even a mutt needs reminding why they listen." He said, moving to wrap his arms around her in the silken number that he now openly admired as he looked over her and up into her face. The chain at his chest was now no longer black but golden hearts of metal link by link from his chest. His uniform now red and white with decorative hearts.
This close, he leaned up to start giving long, heated licks under her chin and jawline. Her toying of his pants had only just driven him crazier for her attention.

Rather than pulling away again, Laven instead leaned her head back and to the side, allowing him better access to continuing his motions of affection. He could easily sink his teeth into her flesh and scales as he had already done before but she suspected they were beyond hostilities. The end of the silk ribbon that hung from her leather cuff was each tied to one of his wrists. If he was intent on keeping her here then she might as well bind him to her so he cannot escape either. “This uniform doesn’t suit you.” She traced her fingers along the curve of his horns before removing his red-trimmed hood. “I like the other one better.” Just as he changed her uniform into the dress she now wore, Laven reverted his clothing to something more familiar but with the cape from the last outfit he had on. “So tell me,” She toyed with the guided heart linked chain. “If you don’t offer this to just anyone, what is it tethered to? What exactly are you offering by giving this to me?”

"I wonder." He said, still licking her neck as he gave a cheeky smile.

With his face so near, Laven nuzzled her cheek against his. Outside of the dreamscape, she shifted where they lay on the bed and buried her face into Wolframite’s chest. His warmth and that familiar scent of almonds was calming in its own way and pulled from her a sleepy purr. It was a sound that echoed in the mind space between them. “Tell me,” She turned her head to the side and nipped his ear then, with her other hand, she scratched his scalp just at the base of his more elaborate purple horns. “Please.” No more macabre or horror in this place they shared. His self decapitation was enough to give her nightmares for the next several days, the last thing she wanted was to end up pulling out a still-beating heart. That would be too much of a Mayan sacrifice as opposed to a show of devotion or affection and chances are she would either drop it or leave it dangling from a chain and try to give it back. It would be best if he just told her instead even if it would take some coaxing to get him to finally say it.

"A heart." He said, simply. It seemed she just didn't want to tug it and see. "You know I wouldn't die if you took it. You could even take it out and keep it in your pocket." He said, pleased and humming as the flowers grew more fragrant and bloomed more vividly in color around them.

She watched him, studying his expression closely. What he said was true, the act would not kill him nor would it cause him any discomfort or pain. Even knowing that Laven was careful when pulling the end of the chain and with it a beautifully crystallized heart. “If you give a dragon a treasure like this, you do so knowing there’s no getting it back. A precious gift would be guarded fiercely that not even its owner could reclaim it.” “Are you sure you want to give this to me?” This would be his only chance she would give him to change his mind.

The heart was heavier then it looked, but was crystallized much in the same way a starseed was, but it's color was a dazzling pink that reflected light in shimmering rainbow colors. Inside it gave off a beating glow of light and hummed.
"Isn't that the point of hearts? To give them away. I can hope you don't manhandle it too much." He reached out, flicking the heart which swung from the chain she held, showing a large series of cracks on it's fractured surface. "It's fragile. It also changes temperatures constantly. Don't hurt your hands."
He watched it sway. "It might not be pristine or as good as it was when I first got it, but I think it still has a little pep still left in it. And it's better you have it then me. I can never figure out what to do with it. You'd be putting a load off me."

With careful hands, she scooped up his heart to stop it from swaying and held it against her chest. “Perhaps you shouldn’t have been so careless with it.” “It’s still in one piece, isn’t it?” Laven looked down at it and turned it over to inspect the cracks and fissures. “I don’t have to worry about sharing a piece with anyone else do I?” She hoped not otherwise she would have to do what she could to get it back from them. “As I said before, you’re mine. By giving this to me you acknowledge and accept that fact.” It was a while ago when she had told him that the leviathan protects what is perceived to be its. However, she never stated that those things could not be living. All she had was kept in a storage locker somewhere in Destiny City and the belongings currently kept in their room. But his precious treasure was worth more than to her than inanimate objects hung on her wall or sat atop her desk. Its importance to her was equivalent to the photo album of her family, memories of her previous life before she had met him.

"If you devour it now, there won't be anything to share." He said, not at all concerned about her questioning but not addressing it much either.
"You act like I toss that around every day."

"Not every day, no. But it's obvious that it's been mistreated or abused on more than one occasion." There was a phantom image of a certain corrupt that appeared off in their peripheral. Tall, thin and almost frail looking with cracks adorning their forehead and chest area. They bowed so deeply to them that one would have thought he had put on a most marvelous act and had thus earned a standing ovation. Neither of them applauded, and Lavendulan, on her part, refused to look his way. "Tell me I'm wrong." The apparition stood and disappeared before reaching full height. "Tell me you truly don't care about what anyone thinks of you or anyone you care about. That this need to reclaim your previous rank is just a means to gain more power and not because you actually care about, and are loyal to, the Negaverse as a whole." Wolframite was passionate about the role he played and there was no denying that he played it well. Loyal to a fault, he obeyed orders to a 'T' and because of that Lavendulan found it difficult to imagine that he didn't put his heart into his work or the friendships he made. Now, if he admitted to not caring about the people he slept with, she might have an easier time believing since he didn't really come back to the dorm smelling of the same cologne or shampoo the same time. Then again, she didn't ask questions and he didn't offer answers to curiosities that remain, to this day, unspoken. In the end it didn't matter much considering she hadn't smelled those specific scents since they started dating officially.

"I care about you. I care about the Negaverse. It is what was there for me and what I have fought for all my life that I can remember." He said, pulling back to regard her. Why would she bring this up now? Why was she even tasking now?
"Do you think I don't care about you or anyone I talk to?" He asked, looking over her and wonder if, in the time they were together even as just friends, she thought this about him. "I want power so I can protect the people on our side. So I can make things better. I wouldn't have given my life over for just power. I've seen so many people at the top get destroyed. Power didn't save them."

“No.” Laven sighed realizing her mistake too late. “That’s not what I meant.” Behind him, vines grew from where the lilies bloomed, weaving themselves into intricate knots until they formed a throne-like chair for them to sit. Taking a step forward she placed a hand on each of his shoulders coaxing him to sit down for a moment so she could in turn crawl into his lap and lean her head against his shoulder. “I’m sorry, I didn’t really articulate my thoughts really well and got wrapped up in my own emotions. Please forgive me. I know you don’t want power for the sake of having power, that you have your reasons for wanting it and it isn’t for some self-serving purpose.” He had made a declaration to her early on, that if she couldn’t kill then he would. At the time they were barely even friends but those words still resonated clearly. For several moments she sat there in silent hesitation before finally presenting her own crystalized heart to him. It looked like it had been carved out of ice and there, in the center, was a cloudy white starburst; a scar that had fuzed two pieces back together. “It was a while ago, but I told you once that my brother was the one that taught me how to swim. However, what I don’t believe I ever mentioned was that he died when I was still in grade school.” “The amount of pain and sadness I felt was both incalculable and immeasurable. It’s a feeling that doesn’t go away, I just learned to live with it over time. One of the side effects to that though is that it made me hesitant to give my heart out to anyone because I’m scared to be hurt in the same way.” With care, Laven passed her heart to him then carefully traced her fingers over the fine lines along his. “Yours may be fragile, but at least it shows that you’ve had a life worth living.” A road map of fractures that told a story of choices made. “An unblemished heart would be a rather uninteresting thing to hold onto.” A life without risks was not much of a life worth living. “Something my father used to say as a joke when we were kids was What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine. rather than what’s yours is mine and mine is yours. Kind of a selfish thing to say but it’s not far from the truth at least when it comes to how I feel.” “I don’t share well, Wolframite. And I don’t mean inanimated objects like a book or pencil.” Laven let her words sink in before finally looking up at him. “When I get emotionally invested in someone I can get jealous easily. I know that’s a turn-off for a lot of people” “I care a lot about you which is why I’m worried about what would happen if, or when, one of your former flings shows up randomly.” She curled her hands around his heart and held it protectively against her chest. Her pupils pulled into thin slits as she tried to suppress a growl at the thought of competition.

He settled in the throne and there, cupped her as she settled like a house-pet into his lap. There, he rubbed her back with the other arm draped about her legs. Her admittance wasn't something he hadn't heard already, but it seemed she wanted to address it to prompt him to admit something. That something was a warning that, if someone showed up, she would be vicious and hurt if they threatened to take him away.
"Those flings before were a way to pass time, scratch a itch, and to separated my own feelings from my body. I could be in a moment in those times. Not think about what I was going through by returning back and what I failed to do. What I left behind. Focusing on just the carnal without caring about the other person - it was selfish because I could be without anyone getting hurt. The other people and I, we were both consenting and knew what we were giving and not giving. It was a very primal agreement. I wasn't giving them this." He said, looking at the fractured heart she was holding.
"My youma side - it's hungry for more than just blood. We just engaged in activities for instant gratification without any heart. If they showed up, there would be no issue because I never invested my feelings in any of them. I was removed whenever I was with them. That was the point." But there was something to all of this.
"You can be selfish. I'm the same. I have been selfish a lot of the time. I still am. Have I not taken as much as you were willing to give me? And if you stray, I would follow you like always." He said, picking up her heart to regard it. "If one of my former flings show up, tell them to ******** off. I already have." His hand moved up to pet her hair, scratching behind the ears and playing with them with his far more nimble fingers compared to his usual claws.

Laven’s lips pulled into an amused smile as she settled more comfortably against his chest. “Mine,” she possessively purred as her eyes flitted shut and she began nuzzling her face into the side of his neck She knew what he wanted, what his youma side all but craved. However, it was far too soon for her to take that step. They had only just started dating and she worried that if they rushed he would tire of her or they would figure out that they weren’t a good fit and this trial period they agreed to would be over before really getting a chance to start. “Just… be patient with me, please.” Laven seemed hesitant in her request since it, at times, went against his nature. “Don’t go losing your head.” She licked the side of his neck where there was a thin line of blood almost teasingly. “I quite like it where it’s at.” Unlike before where the Dreamscape nearly separated it from his body.

He continued to pet her, shivering with delight the moment when she licked his neck.
"If it's you, then I can wait decades. You take your time. I'm not going anywhere." He said, and licked then kissed her brow.
