Upon Arriving at the Canopy District, Hikari would take a small tour of the area, familiarizing herself with her new surroundings. Once she was done she would then head to the dojo. Catching up on what she once knew, and learning a few things in the process, Hikari would learn as much as she could and then head to the Academy. Finding the place had little in the way of medical books and scrolls, she made do with what she had.

Crimson fouled the air and a Dove cried, Ganymede had swung true and Lillian had faulted in her way. This was why they had always trained with sharpened weapons. This was why they always pushed one another. This was why the Wulf gave the Dove no remorse, as she gave him little when his sister had died. His eyes narrowed from her to his sister's namesake blade, stained in her blood. The silver and blue that danced along his flesh, danced too along the surface of the blade and dimmed where the Dove's blood lay. With a callous flick he cast her blood back at her.
"You're distracted, so distracted that you cannot even distance yourself from the problem when threatened. We have always trained as we fought, bare steel and threatened, yet you focused on a bruised ego, only to end up with a hemorrhaging arm. Get up, child, and let me tend to your arm." Wulfram growled, angry that such a strong woman would be so easily felled.
He drew from his pouch a poultice of medicinal herbs and gauzes, and from his opposing side his waterskin to wet the herbs into a salve.
"I can only treat the outer area of the wound and close it up temporarily until one of the court medics or a member of OASIS arrives. Field dressings for this kind of wound should prevent worst. It didn't slice through the muscle... Though it did manage to get through a few layers of flesh." He sighed as he poured water over the wound to clear the blood.

On her way back to the castle, Hikari would find herself walking past the Dojo as a familiar smell graced her presence. It was faint, but she had smelled it far too many times in her profession to not recognize it immediately. Opening the door her sight jumped around the room until it finally fell upon the two sitting in what seemed to be a little bit too much blood for training. As she focused her eyes on the two she would find that first aid was being provided, something that allowed her to take her time getting to them. Red hues soaked into the bottoms of her wooden geta as she stepped in the lake surrounding the two. "It seems first aid as already been used, but perhaps I could take a look at that injury? It would be faster than trying to find help elsewhere." Hikari's words were simple, her gaze stoic, but there was a confidence behind them that could only be possible with experience. Where most would have panicked, she stood calm and collected, ready to act if she was needed. "I am a nurse of sorts. If you would have me I could heal that arm."

Lillian's eyes darted away as Wulfram chided her and called her a child. But the burning vitrol in her eyes wasn't for him-- no it was for herself. For the fact that she was aggravated at him for doing so, for the fact that usually she would agree with him and laugh it off but all she wanted now was comfort. Since when had she become someone who wanted to be comforted? Her, Dove; the assassin who slept in trees, who's hair and soul were made from fire, who killed a group of twelve by herself. She didn't look at the man who was once her brother-in-arms, she let his words his her like a lash with no resistance. She deserved it... How had she let herself become so complacent?
The historian stood, walking over to Wulfram and offering the man her arm. She didn't flinch when tended to the wound despite the extreme burning. She had shown enough weakness for one lifetime. The only tell that she felt anything at all was the flare of a green light spilling between her fingers from her palm-- the Anchor reacting to her turmoil and suffering. The Dove stood there in silence as Wulfram treated her, not looking at him, her mind whirling. Maybe she should take a break from this place, get realigned with herself. Masahiro, surely, would not miss her presence for a while.
Lillian's body language was that of someone exhausted and defeated; shoulder's slumped and arms lax, eyes turned downwards towards the floor... that is intill another voice joined the mix. For Wulfram, the change in demenor would be obvious. Her muscles tensed, her shoulder's squaring. Despite her growing complacency and softness, Wulfram was the only once she trusted to be that vulnerable around. Sharp tawny eyes snapped to the white haired medic at the door through a curtain of sweat-soaked ginger.
She pulled her arm away from Wulfram and gestured with her head for Hikari to enter. "Come then." Lillian let out a soft sigh, but otherwise was quiet.

Obtaining permission to treat her, Hikari gently took Lillian's arm and started unwrapping it. Noticing her tense muscles she would attempt to calm the woman down. "Relax, darling. There's no need to look strong with me. You'll only injure yourself more if you push yourself too much." Finishing unwrapping the gauze, Hikari would scan the entirety of the wound, her soft touch cradling Lillians arm. [1/2]
"Unfortunately, I don't have any anesthetic, so this may hurt a bit. It would behoove you to stay as still as possible. If you have something to bite down on, it would be for the best." Immediately noticing the salve, Hikari would leave it in place for the time being. Kneeling on the floor she would place Lillian's arm on her lap. She would then form some hand seals and then run her finger through along the length of the wound, picking up the salve with her finger while simultaneously cleansing the wound and her own arms. [2/2] Purification Complete
Forming a few more hand seals, Hikari would begin operating, immediately diagnosing her patient and planning what to do. It seemed the wound was fairly superficial, the cut only going through skin. Even so the cut was long, and had to be dealt with carefully, for fear of the gash getting worse. Once done preparing her jutsu, she would place her index finger and thumb on Lillian's arm, pushing the two edges of the cut together as she stitched up the wound. it took a minute or two, but eventually she would be ready for the next step. [1/1] Diagnosis Complete
Forming more hand seals, Hikari would begin healing the stitched area. She did not necessarily need to stitch it up, but she did so to keep from the wound from deepening. Holding her hand to the cut, Hikari's Healing Hands would join the two edges, healing the wound bit by bit, making the area look as if it had not been cut at all. Once she was done healing the wound, she would purify the area again, removing any blood from Lillian's arm that was leftover from the operation. The chakra threads would also disappear at this point, not needing to hold anything together any longer.[1/2]
Grabbing a hold of the gauze that was used for the first aid, Hikari would make sure to use her purification technique again to clean it, and after standing back up, would cleanse her own clothes and arms as well. Rolling up the gauze she would hand it back to Wulfram. "I won't ask why you were sparring with sharpened weapons, though if I were you I'd clean up the room before someone else wants to do so." Looking to Lillian she would speak up again, in an attempt to offer some small advice. "She seems to not be in a good state of mind right now, perhaps a break is in order? She looks like she could use the rest." Finally backing off just to get out of the puddle of blood they were sitting in, Hikari would cleanse her geta and tabi before waiting to see if the two had anything else they needed her for. Wulfram sighed and turned his back on the pair as the young medic set her self and mended Lillian's injured arm. He twisted his blade round and round, unsure of himself, and of his partner for a few moments and he let the Astral energy envelope himself once again. Silver sparks danced from his skin as he moved to the other side of the room and gave the pair the airspace. The fight wasn't all he knew, but it served as his resolution. It kept him close to his sister and her shattered soul.
Eyes aflame with Astral force he bounded across the room and swept the blade wide. His focus turned inward, he burned the thought of injuring Dove away for the moment. Instinctively muscles flared and he adjusted himself into the rounded motion of his swing. The blade Ganymede sung and danced through the air with more grace than her wielder. He only knew peace behind the blade.
The knowledge of how he injured the Dove lingered in his mind and it hampered his movements. A swing failed to balance. His posture slumped. His normal dance turned for a few minutes into a poor mimicry.
One swing turned too wide. The quillons of Ganymede caught a post when Wulfram's attention was lost and the blade launched itself across the room towards the medic and Lillian. The man called out, his voice boomed, and he felt a hand lay over his. Astral energy flooded him and the sword dissipated as it neared the medic. A moment of fear ane loss washed over the knight, he had nearly killed the child and Dove, but he had possibly lost his sister once again to save them.
A childlike laughter filled his head.
The astral hand laced her fingers in Wulfram's and formed herself into the blade Ganymede, leaving the knight with more questions than answers. For the moment his dance began anew.
Filled with a new fervor, the knight shone brighter and his blade sung brighter. From time to time he would allow it to fade, before he called upon it again mid-strike.

His eyes graced back to his compatriots as he watched the medic work, but his bladework remained resolute.

The medic made quick work of her arm, but while she was doing so, Wulfram lost control of Ganymede. The sword went swinging through the air and Lillian pulled Hikari behind her to protect her. The sword, aimed to pierce her straight through the chest, disappeared within inches of making contact. The historian was tense, and let out a breath through her nose.
"Holy hell, Wulf. Trying to kill me now, are you?" Lillian pulled away from the small, white haired girl, laying her hand gently on the top of her head-- a silent thanks. "I'll be around the town if you need me. I need a drink, a book, a shower, or all three." With a wave, the ex-assassin made her way out the door of the training room. She'd leave the clean up to Wulfram, it was his turn anyways.

Even while Hikari worked, the man seemed to be devoted to his bladework, though even the young medic herself could see that he was not putting his all into the practice. The moment his hand slipped would send the blade careening towards the two women. Noticing the posture of the man along with his shout, Hikari knew there was nothing she needed to do, even as her former patient shielded her from the accidental strike. Taking a mental note of the man's clumsiness, Hikari would pick herself up and dust herself off, before saying her goodbyes with a courteous bow and leaving the swordsman and the bloodstained Dojo behind.

The Emperor made his way into the Academy and his eyes cast wide across the blood and general havoc caused by his Guard Captain and the Court Historian only hours before. As Wulfram sat and washed the blood from the mats, another had already delivered the report to him, the Hatake placed a hand on his shoulder and spoke.
"We have guests in our territory. Would that we should meet them, Ser Armistead." He spake in a calm voice, almost serene as he motioned for another to enter behind him, who began to clean the room of the worst.

The brusque man looked up as a messenger first arrived, an odd chakra presence had arrived in the Lands of Fire. Something large, powerful, but quiet. It hadn't moved on the territory, it just docked itself and unloaded people, as he was told. The knight sighed and looked to the sergeant who brought him the communication. From his knees, he caught the man's eyes and tilted his head. A young Yamanaka boy, one who by any other regards should have served in Konohagakure's Shinobi Corps, but whose family decided that there was prestige in him serving in the Empire's standard forces. Or, perhaps he was being lied to and his family really just didn't think he had any mental acuity and they sent him here to serve where his other skills served better. Wulfram smirked and held a hand out to the boy for a hand up, just as the familiar, calm voice spoke behind him.
Masahiro was a damn spook, he had been as long as he had known him. Nothing changed from Skyeveil to the Land of Fire. As the Emperor spoke and placed his hand on the knight's shoulder, speaking about a visit to their guests, Wulfram brimmed slightly.
"So, my Lord, you're saying you'd like to get out of the capital and go visit our guests yourself? I suppose such a journey sounds decent. I've just... A mess left behind." Wulfram sighed as he looked at Lillian's blood on the floormats.

"Miss Himawari, you are late." With puffed up cheeks, the angry smol child crossed her arms as she simply waited for her punishment. Then she thought of it; "I was busy meeting with the emperor! You know, that's very disrespectful just to up and leave if you had a meet-""Emperor or not, You need to learn time management. I had told you countless times before-" the noises started to fade away as she just waited. The dumb teacher always went on a rant about Hima needed to learn time management, which wasn't completely wrong. Then finally. Her consquences. More laps. Ugh. She hated those! While whining and grappling, the golden haired girl started to run the laps as she started to regret wearing one of her many favorite kimonos today. It was then she had saw Masahiro entered into the bilding. Oh? With a quizzial look on her face, she glanced over at her teacher who was lecturing another poor student. Sneakily as she could be, she squatted down underneath the window still and poked her head above the still. She saw Wulfram! And the pretty lady! And someone she had never met? White hair? Huh. She almost knocked on the window to wave at Wulfram but decided not to. She didn't want Masahiro know she was up to no good at hte moment.
Sure enough, both men left. Huh. Where they were going. Her bright sky hues glanced towards the teacher. Hmm. Training or work on sneaking... She had decided on the latter! Following the men, she would do all she can to restrain her giggles. If one of them was to turn around, she would hide the nearest thing she could hide, even if it's a skinny tree. This was harder than she thought! By the power of sunrays, she was going to get this down!

The Academy was a totally different setting for learning from what Sango was used to, but she couldn't help but admire the layout and construction overall. It was here she'd take steps towards honing the skills dampened from the lack of activity since her arrival. Much of it related to stealth, disguise, or overall utility as her skill set was quite varied due to the rigorous training of her past for her current profession. Techniques that disabled or distracted opponents were some of the first to be equipped into her arsenal, providing valuable for escaping or counter strikes. Mobility was also very important, for it not only benefited her greatly due to her size, but prevented her from becoming an easy target to opponents who otherwise might be larger or faster than her. In the case of tasks involving groups larger than one, Sango picked up some useful communication techniques that would allow her to pass or collect information without compromising her own position.
As a performer, Sango was exposed to a variety of different types of people and crowds. Her services, expansive as they were, allowed her to get closer to individuals of higher status, earning trust and fame, among other things depending on the goal. Her identity was to forever remain a mystery, or at least constantly changing to keep potential foes off of her trail. Mastering the art of disguise was no simple feat. Taking on the appearance, behaviors, and even vocals of specific individuals required rigorous practice and studying. There were a few techniques which expedited this process, and Sango did not hesitate to learn them with unwavering focus. Taking on the identity of influential targets could lead to gaining valuable information, or increasing the probability of successfully giving false information. It was a dangerous skill to possess; both in the right and wrong hands, but Sango was confident in her mastery over impersonations.
Learning techniques from her primary element Raiton, required some precautions before she could really dive into the good stuff. Getting herself accustomed to the slight shocking recoil of performing electric-based techniques would prevent the distraction of minor discomfort. while increasing her overall efficiency in execution. Sango decided to utilize her lightning element in a fashion that would enhance her close combat skill and debilitation focus. Prolonged close combat was not her forte, in fact, she prefer to end combat as quickly as possible or simply flee if she was able. Electrical abilities that focused on slowing or inflicting paralysis on her targets were deliberately chosen for that sole purpose. A handy weapon created from the Raiton element would come in handy if she ever happened to be unarmed, or required to operate in an area where actual weapons were not allowed. Becoming lightning herself fell along the lines of disguise, and could be used as an alternative escaping tool should no other options present themselves.
Her secondary element, Fuuton, despite being the direct counter to her primary element, served a totally different purpose in her specialized arsenal. Favored more for its mobility and misdirection potential over elemental synergy, Sango wanted to keep her foes guessing her next moves, or leaving them in her dust should she need to escape pursuers. Picking up the basic wind clone technique, duplicates of herself could be made to disorient and confuse. Sango could use the power of her wind element to boost her overall speed and mobility, allowing her to stay on the move and keep potential attacks out of range. The few offensive techniques she picked up were mostly to catch people off guard. Such as a wind trap that could send people high into the air, or enhance the range and lethaliity of her weapons. Its sheer unpredictability suited Sango and her preferred method of combat, surely to assist her when she needed it the most.
Tying up the loose ends, Sango picked up a few situational techniques that complimented her moveset. Some related to stealth, others granting access to otherwise inaccessible areas, or granting the capabilities to detect lies. With this, Sango felt readily equipped to handle any situation she might encounter, to the best of her abilities.
Genjutsu could be considered Sango's specialty in a way, for it worked well with her talent in performance. To gather and keep the attention of your audience with a captivating display was natural to Sango, having trained in various performance arts from dancing, singing, and playing various instruments. However, there were times where the combination of performance and illusion could provide outstanding results for blindsiding or distracting targets. This is what the young street performer excelled in. Using the power of her dance to confuse her foes, and her voice to get any situation to lean in her favor. Combined with the art of disguise, it made for a very slippery and disruptive adversary for those who would find Sango's - or whoever she may be at this time - sight set upon them. Enchanting type genjutsu drew the young girl's attention first, along with others that complimented her preferred style of combat or would come in handy in diplomatic situations.
If there was anyone who could talk themselves into, or out of any situation, it was Sango. The girl's tongue was sharper than any of the knives and daggers she carried. Combined with her quick wit and a little help from some enchanting voice techniques, Sango could turn the tides of any conversation in her favor, or soothe the most anxious of minds. The same could be said for her music, which was normal with how calmly she played all of her instruments. Various genjutsu were carefully selected into her arsenal, from simple diversion to false feelings of effects that could catch even the hardiest of enemies off guard.

Of all the Taijutsu styles Sango could learn, Freestyle Whirlwind called out to her the most. As someone who has trained rigorously in the art of acrobatic performance, the style suited her well, and would serve as an excellent warm-up to get her muscles back into the swing of things. Starting by getting her fundamentals down, the young street performer focused primarily on gradually increasing the speed of her movements, practicing somersaults, and vaulting over and around objects. Her movements were graceful due to the training she endured prior, and soon she was moving about like a whirlwind in the academy. Sliding under tables, flipping over chairs, vaulting over walls, she did it all with the speed and grace of a violent whirlwind. Next was applying offense to her movements in the form of kicks. The body naturally allowed for such feats given the momentum provided by their movements, which would grant kicks quite an amount of force behind them. The basis of the practice at this point was improving someraults, and utilizing kicks in her movements. With various leaps into the air, or somersaults across the ground, Sango extended her legs, converting the momentum of her movement into the power of her kicks. Impacts against dummies were stronger than before, causing them to vibrate violently on their stands, wood creaking under the force of her mighty blows. Balance was also a crucial skill in this style, and something Sango was not foreign to. Her previous training required great feats of balance in order to perform at the most optimal, including an impressive amount of core strength among other muscles. Bounding off of objects, vaulting over them, and landing on the hands were all practiced intensely until they were able to be combined with powerful kicks. Sango began to notice the strength of her kicks increasing as the speed and precision of her maneuvers gradually improved.
Sobagai Deba Sentou would, naturally, be the first bukijutsu style Sango adds to her arsenal. They don't call her Knives for nothing, after all. These small, sharp and deadly weapons were the young street performer's favorite, not only for putting on an entertaining show, but for self-defense and offense. They could be concealed on her person with ease and withdrawn at a moment's notice. The size and weight of the weapon didn't hinder her movements in the slightest, and worked excellently for sudden, precise strikes. Practicing basic defensive maneuvers and attacks, Sango immediately began familiarizing herself with the knives and daggers she wielded. Increasing gradually in speed, the movement of her strikes were almost like a blur to those watching nearby. It was almost scary how well a fifteen year-old girl handled such a weapon, yet in the world of Shinobi, this shouldn't be much of a surprise. Moving onto wielding this favored weapons more efficiently, she practiced tossing them from all angles, watching them sail silently through the air. Much like the famed knife juggling she was known for, keeping the knives moving as she worked by switching them between her hands would be more than enough to keep her adversaries distracted. A few dirty fighting tricks were picked up, such as using the reflection of light to her advantage, and distracting knife maneuvers to hide a deadly counter strike. Eventually she'd be doing all of this while dual wielding her beloved daggers, staying true to the nickname she earned so many years ago.
Stealth was another big priority for Sango's combat style. As a performer, one had to grow accustomed to the spotlight, but there are times when one needs to avoid it, especially with her type of work. Staying in the shadows to remain unseen, or to sneak by obstacles could be the line between the success or failure of a mission - or worse: life and death. The usage of smoke bombs would help her with just that while providing a distraction for foes should she need some sort of escape tool. Bringing pellets to bear, she practiced slamming them on the ground efficiently and using quick movement while vision of her body was reduced, to her advantage. In the smoke, she was practically invisible to those who lacked the vision. Perfecting the throwing, slamming, and tossing of the smoke bombs, she focused on honing her movement. Shunshin-like motions within the smoke, as her own natural speed began to increased the more she practiced. She even started to notice her own vision improving while inside the smoke, growing accustom to its vision-reducing qualities. Other nifty tricks such as kite-flying and steel wire manipulation were mere gems. The more unpredictable she could be, the better.
The last of the styles she'd practiced would be Kyoukan Ya, focused on utilization of the bow. Archery was a relatively new skill for Sango, as her training was cut short after the death of her mentor. To be able to strike from afar among the shadows, it prevented her position or identity from being compromised, while taking out required targets. Sango carried a recurve bow fitted for her size as well as a quiver with arrows, from what she remembered of her brief training with the weapon, the strength of the draw and accuracy were most important. She practiced just that, improving the strength of her draws, and even holding them for a brief time before letting the arrow loose. Her breath gradually adjusted, matching the draw and release of the bow. Thanks to her previous training, her arm and back strength proved helpful in practicing lining up and holding shots and maximum draw, so she moved on to improving her accuracy now that the fundamentals were back in place. Chakra flooded her eyes, improving her vision, and increased her accuracy tremendously. With the improved accuracy, various trick shots and maneuvers were done. From shooting more than one arrow per draw, to learning how to curve arrows around corners to hit targets that may not be directly in the line of sight. Various arrows had wire attached to create traps for targets, or imbued with chakra to emit sharps sounds for disorientation and distraction. Stealth related abilities also had their place, naturally, for the bow was a primary weapon of the hunter, or assassin in most cases nowadays. Removing her visual and audible presence made her harder to detect, thus allowing her to truly attack from the shadows. Unheard, unseen, and with one fatal strike.

Moments after Sango's training session, the peaceful tune of a flute began to play. It was not loud enough to draw any attention specifically, yet those who considered themselves a connoisseur of musical arts would pick up the skill of the notes she played from a mile away. It was simply to pass the time, and time sure did pass. An hour went by, and she continued to play, only to be disrupted by the sound of fluttering wings beside her. "Hm?" The angelic tune put on pause, her attention turned to the white dove that settled beside her, holding a small, rolled up piece of paper in its possession.
The bird alone brought feeling of great happiness, for she recognized it immediately. Sato! The boy she met during her enslavement and later becoming one of her closest comrades; the one who helped her become the person she is to this day. After the sudden assassination of their mentor, he took it upon himself to gather a group of their strongest members to investigate. It left some of the newer recruits without proper guidance, and immediate action was set to dispatch them to specific locations to continue their training on their own, under the status of village ninja. Her purpose here, while unclear, did not affect the loyalty and commitment Sango had to give her very best for the Land of Fire and their Emperor. As soon as she retrieved the paper from the bird, the flying creature fizzled into nothing.

The Street Rat
Her eyes skimmed across the alias of her friend struck out with blue ink, and then the paper - much like the bird - fizzled into nothing. Sango was left staring at her hand, dealing with a bundle of emotions inside of her. The sorrow of her deceased mentor, worry for her best friend, and curiosity for this strange person she was supposed to meet. "Copper roads... Nightingale?" She muttered to herself, glancing down at the flute gently grasped in her other hand. There was one part of the message she completely understood, however her knowledge of how to get around in this new village was quite lacking. Perhaps it was time for some exploring! [ Exit ]
Wulfram sighed and gave a loose chuckle as he left the girls behind in the Residential District, having gathered what supplies he needed. He made his way into the Canopies and entered the Academy first, a few books needed referenced, but before he could do so he would have to help a handful of people with their exit from the building. As he got the situation within the academy back under control and got the guard rotation underway, he entered and checked the various texts and some naval charts.

With a moment to breathe the knight transitioned over to the dojo and picked up one of the wooden training swords. He looked at the specks of dried blood left from when he had sliced Lillian's arm. His head lilted and he sighed. He had never meant to hurt his Dove, but she had failed herself as much as he had.

"I will have you two taking care of cleaning rooms for potential patients, as well as diagnosing the troubles of those who do need help. Once you have finished finding out what is wrong, you are to report to me before sending them off, as I will be checking them over a second time. It would be a good idea to familiarize yourselves with the layout of the place." Hikari's eyes would turn from gentle to more strict. "Furthermore, neither of you are to turn away anyone, no matter how minor their troubles. If I find out either of you sent away a person in need to help, I will see that you get your proper punishment." Hikari's eyes would exhibit a bloodlust directed at the two girls before returning to their gentle, stoic state. "Let us be on our way, now. We shouldn't waste time standing around, after all." Hikari felt bad about her harsh statements, but she had felt that Himawari was too carefree, and needed to be turned down a notch or two, at least for their patients' sakes.
