The Emperor rolled his head back and sighed, pressed against the column as he waited for Himawari to arrive. The pulse of her chakra was weak and two floors beneath him as he lilted back and stretched his consciousness into the network constructed between the Guard Tower and the Capital Barrier, his mind wandered and focused on the individual patterns on the premise of the Castle, but largely left the exploration of the larger City to the guard proper.
One such pattern landed forefront in his mind. One that just entered the grounds.

"Please, remove your arms and store them with our officer here in the armory. Then Lord Lin-Yu will see to you in the Guest Chambers." The Guard said as he gave Hikari a curt nod and motioned to the Armory.
Should the woman do as instructed, she would enter into a room with a man in his mid-thirties, long brown hair, and a clean-shaven face who sat at a table with a Shogi board between them. His cerulean eyes focused on Hikari and his elbow planted on the table, his palm outstretched toward her, then motioned to the Shogi board.
"The guards tell me you've come to speak to the Lord. And while he's quite welcoming to outsiders, I would be most remiss in my duties as a Defense Secretary, were I to not ascertain your intent with our Liege. As such, please, pull up a seat, and have a chat with me, over a game of Shogi?" Lord Lin-Yu requested as he took his seat and motioned forward a pot of warmed water.

Pulling her bow and quiver from her person, Hikari would do as she was instructed and hand them over for the time being. Once inside the Guest chambers, she would be greeted by a man who looked to not be much older than she. "I would be wrong not to, with the patience you've all shown me thus far." Seating herself across from the man, she would start by picking up a black pawn.

Placing the piece on the board again, Hikari would speak up once more. "I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm an outsider, though. After all, I am as much an outsider as he." Hikari would give the man time to respond, and allow him to take his turn as well. Not partaking of the tea, she did not want to intrude too heavily, but at least wanted to respect his patronage to a point.

Another simple move, Lin-Yu pushed a pawn directly forward with the back of his pointer. Cerulean eyes leveled on the woman and he smirked as he flipped the dossier open.
"Former Sunagakure no Sato kunoichi, records folded over with the acclimation of Wind Country into the Fire Empire, your records became ours. The official records of the era, they show a crossover between you and the lord while he served as a liasson in your country. Did you two serve together closely?" He questioned as he surveyed the chess table.

"YAAAAY! Okay perfect!" She dragged him down the stairs as they headed towards the kitchen. "So! I'm making Ichiraku ramen! I already got the broth all done!" They entered the kitchen as Himawari made sure to use the strip of cloth to get her sleeves pulled back so it wouldn't get dirty. "See! Broth is done and the eggs are done! I just need to boil up the noodles!" Grabbing the bag with the noodles she started to boil the water. As the noodles were being cooked, it wasn't going to take long. She went head and started to remove the shells from the hard boiled eggs. "Masahrio-oji, you know what I'm going to do when I find Theodred?" She questioned and before she could even let him answer. "I'm going to whack him good that's what!" Hima was a bit mad at Theodred for being a moody kid and running off. She was going to find him and teach him a lesson. "Also, can I please please please please -yikes!" Himawari almost dropped the egg but she caught it. As she got both of the eggs ready, she cut it in half. "Okay, can I please go to Arashigakure? I want to know more about mom. She was now cutting spinach, clinato, and green oinons "Or can I go to Konohagakure? Meet kids my age at least? I could learn more! It's not just socializing or meeting but I can learn more! You said so yourself, knowledge is vast so why can't I go to more places to learn more?" She finished up the vegetables and started to cut two slices of Naruto Maki. "I've been really good! I trained well, listened to my teachers," she explained as she got the noodles ready and put them in a bowl, "I even didn't run away with Theodred! I'm not stupid like him! Ugh!" She waved the tongs about and a piece of noodle went flying to somewhere. "Please Masahiro?" the blonde girl begged as she added broth to the noodles along with pork cutlets. To top it off, she placed the halves of hard boiled egg onto the bowl, the vegetables and last but not least, she added the Naruto Maki right on top and gave Masahiro a bowl of Ichiraku Ramen with chopsticks at the ready on top.

A cheer of triumpah escaped from her lips when he had mentioned that she was going to Konohagakure! Perfect! She was absoultely excited then heard the rest of the words. Before she could say anything, he had the nerve to ruffle her hair! "HEY!" She shouted as she pushed his arm away gently and ran to a shiny pot to check on her bow. "A lady gave me this bow! Rude!" She said playfully then turned to only waggle the wooden spoon at him, "No one can predict the future! Sometimes plans work out, sometimes they don't! SO WHEN ARE WE LEAVING FOR KONOHA!" She almost not so shoutly the last sentence but it was more of a louder tone as she was very and extremly excited. With a happy smile as the food looks good, she climbed up onto the stool. "Lets dig in!" She held up the chopsticks for a moment then broke them in half as she startes to wolf down, "So today, I was -mff-" She gobbed up another bite, "training and then I decided to -slurp-" This broth was dang good! "Make it snow and guess who I whacked with a snow -slurrrrrp- ball! It was Wulfrum! -nomnom- He looked like -clatter as she picked up the bowl- he had fun! -glugluglug-" She was drinking down the broth as she finished the solid foods in the bowl.

Thrasher like, totally stepped his way through the imperial palace checking out out the sights while he did. He had never been anywhere so fancy in his whole life so like, you can imagine, s**t's pretty cash. Only problem was that he didn't have like, any ******** clue about his dopy face. "Aw scrah man. Guess I'll just wonder 'round till I like find somebody or something ya."

Masahiro laughed as his ward recounted her tale, the journey of the day enough to fill the Emperor's heart with joy. He began to dig into the meal, slowly he enjoyed the meal as she spoke of her time with his Imperial Guardsman and her childish demeanor.
"It takes a lot to put a smile on that old dog's face. Please be sure to remember, he isn't always so jovial. Should you cross him again, do your best to make him smile, but don't take his sadness or anger personally. His sister passed away some time ago, and he blames himself." The Hatake spoke softly, hands crossing gently at the table.

As Lin-Yu and two Guardsmen left from their discussions with the young Hikari, they soon ran across Thrasher in the lower, Public, courtyard. The administrator, Lord Lin-Yu took a step forward and waved a fan towards the man.

Like, looking up from his investigative prodding of some indisputably expensive porcelain piece, Thrasher gave a quick glance 'round before the realization that he was the only one IN here to be addressed at. "Eyyyy how's it hang ese? Right, kickass! My name is like, Thrasher or whatever." -insert duel shaka signs pointing to his monogrammed hoodie here- "What I do is just like... like ya know, like you know what I mean? Oh yeah here's like, this letter from Lahlil."

Hima placed the bowl down onto the counter, "Ah!" now she was slightly full and it was some good stuff after all. Masahiro mentioned that it would take a lot to put a smile on old Wulfram's face. A huge cheesy smile could be seen as she was rather happy she was able to get him to smile. Even for a moment. He suggested for her not to ever take his sadness or anger personally as she scowled and wave her hand at him in dramatic motion, "Don't worry about me! I know there's some real grouchy-grouchs out there. I still try to make them smile!" One of them was her teacher, well, one of the many. But this one? He was smart, wickedly smart but man, he doesn't know how to smile! It got to the point where Hima started to think that perhaps even as a baby, he didn't smile. Maybe he lacked the muscles to do so. When she hears that Wulfram blames himself for his sister's death, she paused for a moment, a smile no longer on her face.
Few moments later, she slid off the stool and got her bowl, reached up and got Masahiro's bowl as she placed it on the tray for the servant to take away. "I know how that feels. I still blame myself to what happened to momma and Uncle Theo," Theo of course, wasn't blood related but he was family to her, "And Theodred, when he ran away," She paused for a moment, "But why? Why stay sad and blame myself? My goal is to get stronger! To bring Theodred back and maybe find out what happened to mom and Uncle Theo! Moping, blaming, it just poisons the soul and heart doesn't it? That's what I was told by momma..." She remembered that talk. When Hima failed a class, Hima blamed herself constantly till her mother talked to her. Hima also recalled that her mom had admitted that her heart and soul was poisoned and it's why she can never recover fully. A woman who she admired and was the world to her, had admitted that she had problems. In Hima's eyes, her mother was perfect. Hima wanted to know more to what she meant about her past. Of course her mom pulled the famous line, 'You're too young to know now.'

Masahiro smiled and ruffled young Himawari's hair. She had developed a deep emotional intelligence for a child her age, one the Emperor understood and reflected on deeply, they had both been through rather tumultuous childhoods, and both separated from family many times over in their youth. When he took her in, he had hoped to foster her from facing such again, and prevent the repetition of his own tragedies.
He worried that he may have failed.

Lin-Yu approached the man and took hold of the notice he waved to inspect the seal of office. It had in fact been from the Hokage. He sighed and waved to the Guard and the trio would head off towards the Emperor's chamber.
