Lynx was assigned to go on his hunt. It was a ritual all underlings had to go through to become a huntmaster for the Tribe. He tried to remember what Kaori taught him during his training. Chase the prey. Tire it out. Do not fall vulnerable to it. Always be alert. The tom trudged through the snow, unable to track any track marks that would help him. "Thanks Forestclan," he mumbled, knowing that it would be a difficult hunt.

As he made his way a few rounds down the mountain though, his pelt started to blend in more with the cliffs, and he saw the snowshoe hare. Eyes locked on it, Lynx gave out a cry, warning the hare of its inevitable death. Ears perks up, the hare looked and saw the cat running towards it, and reversed, running through the snow. Lynx kept at a steady pace. 'Tire it out. Don't tire yourself out. Keep it in the open. Don't give it time to hide.'

They went for a good ten or so minutes before the exhaustion hit the hare, and that's when Lynx caught up, pouncing into the air, giving out another scream before digging his teeth into its neck. He felt the struggle, which wasn't as bad due to the tiredness, and he bit in, ending it. Lynx shook himself clean of snow and gave himself a bath before looking at the kill.

"Thank you, Forestclan, for the successful hunt, and allowing me to become a huntmaster." Grabbing the hare, the tom started his journey back up to the tribe, where he was greeted by Feather, Kaori, and Bitter Dew. "Does this mean that I passed, Feather?" he asked, eyes beaming at the mountain seeker with such pride.
