Just have some more confidence in yourself. As for Mine, she definitely is not pleased with them. I can't say I have been much help, knowing that Zeno has a clutch coming. So my mood has probably added to her bite a little more. Though, I do assure you, that she will love your gift,Monath assured, realizing it might make him nervous what she said about her rider.

"I could try," Rhiyn muttered. She made it sound so easy. Confidence was hard, but maybe... Maybe he could be with Dea. "She did seem pretty angry," he admitted. "I don't think I've ever seen her so mad." It made sense that the dragon's mood would be causing Dea some troubles.
"I'm glad," he said. "Tell me when she's coming."

That is all you have to do, is to give it your best shot. And it is okay to be scared sometimes, I know I can be. As for DemanthraMine, yes, she was pretty upset when she heard what they were saying. No, she is usually the calmer one of the two of us. However, she has been struggling a little more right now. Don't worry though, seeing your present will be a bright spot in her day. And I would say you have maybe a little time before she comes back,Monath replied.

Rhiyn knew dragons could get scared, they had the same emotional range people did. It was still surprising to hear a dragon admit it. He nodded. “Right,” he said. “Maybe we can turn the day around for her. It would be nice if we could make her smile...” he hoped they’d manage.
But when would she arrive? Rhiyn didn’t have a younger brother, but surely lecturing one wouldn’t take much longer? “How long?”

Knowing my rider like I do, I would say we will definitely bring some lightness to her day. The gift is beautiful, Rhiyn, and very thoughtful to pick out a green one. As for how much longer, I would say a few minutes,Monath answered for him. From what she was picking up through her connection, Demanthra was winding down.

"Well of course I picked green. I couldn't have gotten her a blue one!" Rhiyn protested. It hadn't been thoughtful, it'd been the only thing to do. She had a green, he'd had to get her a matching necklace.
"Do you think she's driven her point home?" Rhiyn asked. He wondered if Ionan would dare step out of line after a lecture like that. Probably--he had brothers to encourage misbehavior.

Yeah, I think she has, she is getting into the 'I will be watching you' conclusion. So I would suggest you hide, she should be on her way up. And don't even think of worrying, cause I know she will love it. She needs something happy,Monath responded. She laid her head back down, to look like she was just resting as she had been doing before.

Knowing them, they will find someway to make it up to her. They always seem to do that. As for where you can hide, I would suggest behind her trunk where she keeps her clothing. That should allow you to still see around it, without her seeing you. I don't think she will need to go in there,Monath answered.

“Probably,” Rhiyn agreed. Demanthra’s anger had thankfully never been turned towards him, but while scary, it didn’t seem to last very long. “I hope they behave for a while though.”
The trunk? Rhiyn nodded and went to hide. Monath was right, Demanthra probably wouldn’t be able to see him here. Not unless she came close. “Okay! Act casual.”

Monath wanted to snort in laughter as he told her to act casual. She figured he must forget that her definition of casual wasn't necessarily his own. However, she was quiet as she laid there and waited for her rider to come back to their weyr. As soon as Demanthra had come onto the ledge, she allowed the young woman to stroke her head.
You look like you could use a little break. Maybe get yourself a nice rest,Monath suggested.
"Yeah, I probably should. Lecturing candidates, especially my brothers can be tiring,"Demanthra admitted with a nod of her head. She allowed herself another stroke of her beloved green's head, before heading inside. She sat down on her bed, when she noticed something that had not been there before. Confusion filled her eyes as she picked it up and opened it. Inside was a beautiful necklace with a green dragon.
"Where in the world did this come from?"Demanthra wondered. She felt what was a mental shrug from her dragon, though she knew the green knew something.

Dea looked as tired as he’d imagined her being. She definitely needed the planned pick me up, but when did he come out? Did he want her to know the gift was from her already? He waited a few moments before deciding the gig was up. He’d never been good at keeping things from her anyway.
He stepped out from behind the trunk and where she could see him. “Surprise,” he said. “I thought you needed something to make you smile.”

Demanthra let her fingers go over the little glass dragon gently, her mind trying to decide where it was coming from. Logically, she had a very strong guess, but wondered if he would get her such a gift? Though, could have also been one of her family, any of them could have dropped it off and wanted it to be a surprise. Could be one of her friends too, who felt she might need a little good cheer.
One of those thoughts is right,Monath replied, speaking calmly into her rider's mind.
I see you are being very helpful narrowing it down for me,Demanthra sighed. However, she didn't have to wait long for the mystery to be solved, when a very familiar form popped out of hiding.
"Rhiyn, how long have you been here?"she asked.

“Since your lecture began,” Rhiyn admitted. “I wanted to surprise you but Monath didn’t like the idea of me just leaving it for you to find.” He shrugged. “I wasn’t sure how to give it to you.” How was he supposed to say this, anyway? She was the person he valued most in his life, but he thought she already knew that.
He looked to Monath. “Help,” he said.

Demanthra listened as Rhiyn explained he had been here since her lecture to her brothers had begun. When he went on to tell her he was hiding because Monath didn't think he should just leave the present, she had to agree there. She liked knowing who would bring her such a gift, so she wasn't left guessing about it.
Tell her why you got it, how you feel,Monath answered him, seeing him look at her and ask for her help.
"It is beautiful,"Demanthra told him softly.
