Agatane Von Lorenzia the 15th Vale council: Council member of Labor | Nobility | Base Level 2 What's he up to: Chatting it up with Robin, receiving a well justified slap

"There's nothing better in life than feeling alive, having your purpose, and being that piece of the puzzle to help the world be more PASSIONATE. We are all humans inside one way or the other. It's a matter of choosing the way to that purpose."- Agatane Von Lorenzia the 15th ------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~~
The walk to the Sanctuary had been... Something of a questionable result. Though the nobleman had given himself away at the place on the streets, despite the purpose of the disguise to begin with, he had no issue with it. Who cared if one person knew? He could always try on different disguises in the future and be the wity fox he was out of it all. It was part of the job! Well, more of a personal thing than the job, ut it got him the results. Alongside him, who knew how well Robin had fared the walk there. Her compliment towards his good side had him completely smitten with what could easily be counted as an ego inflation. True to his own sense of worth he for once had said nothing, only having his held high, and an extra fancy spring in his step. "Ahhhh~!!! Building sweet building! Nothing come close to the darling beauty that would happen to be the woman joint by my side~." With his witnessing to Robin's adorably reddened face earlier on, he was unable to help but throw in more commentary. Ol' Morado knew how to pick his guards! He could at least be pleased he had his own. They were no pretty female in a long, sexy red dress, but he made do with what he was fortunate. The conversation he was finishing off with as they entered the building though, was pretty much what could be expected to be heard from him. "I must say my lovely, when next you venture into the colorful livings of the poorer retails, make sure to avoid the ones with big deer in headlights to them! I am sure telling you, when I had the gall of bumping into one, phew~!!!! They had wondered if I was impregnated with a grimm! I guess there was no helping the matter that I had number 58 on my side, guiding his lovely behind home to roost. That had been seven years ago, and I had much longer hair than now! Did they know how to kick! Ah... Well now~! PASSION halls of the world and it's climates!!!!! .... Ah drat!!!"
Forgetting about the metal detectors, of course they had to go off. With an over dramatic sigh that could put a princess to shame, he had fretfully handed the cane in his possession to the guards at the door. "Treat that with nice care!!!! Oh~! I must dress for the meeting appropriately shant I?" Off went the hat, and a popping noise from Aggy's back, as the man brought himself to his full height at long last. The sunglasses staying on his face, he took no time on stripping free of the homeless clothes, leaving himself shirtless, with a nice pair of white pants underneath. "Brr~~! It's cold in herrrrreee!! May I borrow your shirt Robin dear? I wish to avoid stripping my imagination to be bared to the reality before me that is a goddess!!!!!"
"....How about the shirt I had been asked about from you this morning? The one right here? In my hand. " Standing behind them had been the right hand man of the nobleman. Tossing the shirt at Aggy's head, the man had approached Robin, bowing formally in apology. "My apologies miss, that you had to deal with this kind of situation. I hope my master was not of too much trouble. If he laid one hand on you I would not hesitate on suing him for one moment. I would kindly testimony a few words into it." Was he joking? Or serious? The man with the large tail before them wasn't one for too many jokes. All that would be known, was the fact Aggy almost jumped him with a twinkle in his eyes, had he not been so cold.
Awwww~! CEEEEEEDRIC!!!! You do care!!!!!!!! Wait... I was a perfect gentleman!!!! Don't scare the girl!!! All I did was ask for the mysteries under the skirt!" Lies and one hundred percent slander, though there was no way Agatane would admit such a thing, aside from almost yelling out the full on truth. There was no shame in admitting this! Cedric would only shake his head, the scent of buttery popcorn embracing out from him, more so from being near Robin. Women had him into a formally stern, but almost silently shy. Aggy on the other hand, had began putting on the fresh shirt, and adjusting the tie onto himself that had been stuck to the sleeve. A simple visit Cedric succeeded in, having left for Aggy's office, with a simple "see you later," and a "behave master sparklelord," under his breath. Short, but sweet, and Aggy wasn't affected in the slightest. "My... WHAT A HUNK. Oh! Do not mind me. Force of habit!!! oohohohoho~! How do I look Robin dear!? Waiiiiit!!! Don't tell me!! Ravishing enough to eat right!? Being handsome is a curse. Proper enough for the meeting yes? Ah... If only I could take my glasses off!!! That way I could see the loveliness that fills the room like swans in full flights of PASSION.... Of good heavens!!!!!!!" A delayed reaction, but FINALLY had he remembered where they were now. The ever cheerful smile on his face had staggered down to a grimace, with the meeting room in his mindset. "Looks like our playtime is over my crimson sweet. WE.... I... Mustn't keep my lovely ladies and gents waiting." With that set in stone, he finally made way to the meeting room. When the doors opened, he was sure not the last person to arrive, but certainly was not the first. Nikoletta, Arachne, Aurelia, Morado, and Xcoutal were there. Much of the wiser adults of the bunch. This of course, had no stopping of dramatic entry style from Aggy. Arms spread out wide, his smile returned briefly, though he had to falted back by the brightness of the room hitting his eyes. Even though he had on his sunglasses, it sometimes stung through a good one. "Ahh~! Greetings all my companions of PASSION and JUSTICE~! Nikoletta~!!!! How are you and the little OWLETTAS????? Still delectable and soft as a midnight's breeze to look upon~! I mustn't forget dear Arachne~! The spinning song silhouette of 8 wonderous legs that only nature could never win against the loveliness of~! Aurelia~! I see you golden hair of life is still as bright as the heart I cannot claim~! XCOUTAL!!! Hair like a midnight raven, in hopes I may be able to touch along the fine lines of the raven in your soul~!!! But alas, you are a frog, who still has the form of a prince, that my lips don't need to touch~!!!!" Taking his seat, his eyes landed on the council leader, the cheshire smile directing from him, to Robin, and back again. "My man of strength, who keeps this institution as bright as a morning sun!!!!" Yup. It was Moroda's turn!!! "My compliments on the guard sent! She knows how to deal true PASSION with her jo~! ohohohoho yes she does. I hope you got that same spunky fire SIRRR. Ooookay now......" Finallllly he was done with the big mouth speeches and flirtations. Sitting back in his chair with his hands behind his head, it was clear he walked in on something. "All I well I hope? I apologize for being Tardy."

A wise choice Mr. Sanguis. It seemed the man had more to say before he would explode in laughter at Sanguis' retort. All too true I'm afraid! A couple of bumps and bruises on my way here you see. Nothing I can't handle though! The refined sense of humour from Sanguis was always a delight to be had for Angelo. I do truly apologise for the interruption; I can assure you it's important. Mr. Aidou would never presume you could spare a moment of your time for anything less. An absolute devotion to his master, plain and clear for all to see.
Making their way to the Sanctuary Angelo would beam with delight at the prospect of talking about his family. My week has been wonderful. Morado keeps me busy, but nothing keeps me busier than the shelter! Moving aside to let an old couple pass he looked at Sanguis with a smile. You should come and see everyone! It would be a huge boost to their moral to have the Minister of Health check in on them. Angelo did what he could to care for them, but he of course had his limits. My wife? Oh! Pulling out a picture of her from his pocket he would thrust it towards Mr. Sanguis. Take a look. She's as radiant as ever! Oh, my Ebony, my sweet sweet Ebony! His smile looked to grow three times wider just thinking of her. She's doing wonderful work at the shelter while I'm away... We have been discussing. I suppose I really shouldn't say. Oh? But who better to talk to than you! Well you see.. My sweet Ebony and I have been discussing, beginning a family of our own. Pulling the picture back he'd gaze at it lovingly. I know we both have a lot on our plates as it is, but I think the time is right. You know? Scratching the back of his head his smile became much more nervous. I'm not too sure I'm cut out to be a dad though. Any advice a veteran such as yourself could give? After a while of walking Angelo would suddenly feel awful. Oh, but where are my manners! Mr. Sanguis, you must tell me about yourself. How has your week been? How is your wife? How goes the hospital?
As they made their way up the stairs of the Sanctuary Angelo would smile towards the guards. Ah HA! Guess I forgot to grab my stuff on the way out. Good thing I always keep my ID on me. Without any response the guards checked it over and began to frisk him. Can't take these guns off me unfortunately! A puzzled expression was given to him. Your dimensions are off, but the nature of your semblance would give way to that. Been getting into any fights? A small sigh could be heard. I bumped into a few things on my way to pick up Mr. Sanguis if I'm honest. The guards gave him another look before turning to the Minister of Health. Apologies Sir, it's standard protocol. Before they would wave him to come forward.
▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ Alfred suppressed a smile as he heard Mr. Redwood's reaction to his jesting. The man was infectious with his exuberance for life, even to the elderly. 'The joy of youth.' He silently thought to himself. Those days were long past him though he wished he had been more active in his youth. Redwood would reassure him that Aidou would not interrupt him for anything less of importance. He still remembered the day the man had replaced his father on the council. Every shift and seat filled in the council was significant, but that was the most defining of that person for Alfred. He was unsure still if the man was fit for the role, but only time would tell how well or poorly he did. Alfred would only nod in response to that, as it had been made clear to others that he shouldn't be disturbed during his work hours unless it was important. He would note how devoted Redwood was to Aidou, which was good for his guard. Of all the council, he was naturally the most heavily guarded. While some may see it as a worry, Alfred did not. With all the internal politics of the council, there was little chance the head would try anything. No, the only one he had to worry about was a certain slug there. That man was never to be trusted.
Their walk would begin without incident at least. It was always hard to tell if this would be the day your rival would attack or not, though at this stage they were likely just hoping the other would keel over first. His eyes would remain forward, focused on the path ahead after asking his question and listening to the man's answer. Knowing the man, it was unsurprising that he had had a busy week both with council and shelter. Redwood was one of the few people he knew who cared enough for others, something that seemed to have been bred out with time. Even as they walked he could see the street had its fair share of people, homeless, displaced from their country. A blend of human and faunus alike, though he knew in respects to the new views more faunus seemed to be getting out of the slump than humans. Or so the reports he had seen had led him to believe. His eyes would not focus on it much, it being a regular view after so many years of over crowding, and instead looked to Mr. Redwood as he talked about the minister going to the shelter. Alfred would take a moment to think on it. He had no fears of death in his age, knowing it was an inevitability. It was the same reason he did not have guards. 'What point is there to killing an old man whose days are numbered?' Was his own question and reasoning on the matter. "Perhaps." Would be the simple response he would give the man. Motivational speaking was not his specialty, at least not that he knew of. He felt his time was better spent in the hospital saving lives than anything else, and was why he devoted so much of his time to it.
It was then he would have a photograph thrust to him, and looking on it Alfred would see the wife in question. He was surprised to see it as a physical photograph from the man, but it was in the style Alfred also preferred things. Just by his following words, it was clear to see how devoted Redwood was to his wife as well and how much he cared for her. Redwood would go on to mention how his wife was working at the shelter then oddly seemed reluctant about it. Given how the man was, this piqued Alfred's curiosity...till he finally went ahead and mentioned starting a family. 'Ahh, even he has apprehension to such things.' Alfred would silently think to himself. Seeing as the man still seemed to be thinking on something, Mr. Sanguis would politely wait for him to finish. Indeed, Redwood would add his comment about being unsure if he could be a father, and asked for advice. Alfred pondered on it for a moment before speaking. "You should begin a family if you believe you are ready for it. In the world we reside in, you never know how long you have. Not to say you should rush into it. It is a heavy commitment once you start." He would begin, serious in tone and demeanor. While he believed families were important if they were to survive the girmm, he also knew some people simply weren't fit for it. After a short pause he would continue. "I believe you are capable of being a father, though if you chose to do so bear in mind you may have to sacrifice some things. As for advice...All I can offer in advice is to be yourself yet be patient. A child is a wonderful thing...but it is also a very taxing gift." Alfred would say, offering a smile. In truth, there was no set advice for kids or being a dad. No clear right way. Every child was different, and needed different parenting. He had learned that with his own kids.
It was then that Redwood seemed to feel guilty about fully taking over conversation, though Alfred merely waived it off with a patient smile as he listened to his inquiries. "No need to apologize, my life is hardly worth mention. Its been the same as usual for my week, and my wife is well. Both of us are, well as much as can be expected of people of our age at the least. And the hospital has been going well. There was a small surge of blood borne illness recently, but hopefully it shall not spread further. Our current living conditions for many in Vale are hardly good for public health." He would say simply and matter of factually. With how overcrowded the city was, illness often went rampant and it was always a new surge every week. Or so it felt like. Something would need to be done in time to alleviate the issues, but he would not go into detail now. It would be at this stage that they reached Sanctuary, slowly ascending. Redwood would make another joke about his muscles, to which the Minister slowly shook his head. It was cringe worthy, but also refreshing to have someone so open and willing to lift moods. It was perhaps why he was so friendly with the Mr. Redwood. As the guard would shift focus from Redwood to him, he would merely nod. "Afraid an old man like me could take you all on? It is fine though, I know the procedure." Alfred would reach into his coat, and deposit a few syringes along with a hacksaw that he had hidden in his coat. He had no other discernible weapon on him, as the syringes were the only borderline things he had.
"I believe this is where we part ways Mr. Redwood, a pleasure as always. If you have any concerns, medically, of the matter you mentioned before please don't hesitate to contact me." Alfred would say in a friendly manner, waving to him before he would head towards the meeting room proper. He would note there were several other council members already present, and would calmly walk to his seat. He had come in right after the last speaker, so for now was unsure what was being discussed. "Greetings. Apologies for my timing, these old bones aren't quite up to par with that of Mr. Redwood, and I had to take care of things at the hospital first before I could depart." He would pause for a second, as his eyes drifted to the small children before back to their mother. "Mr. Redwood is just outside if you'd like to have him watch over them? He is quite good with children." Alfred would offer to the minister of faunus affairs. He wanted to get this meeting over with if it was an important council meeting, urgent enough to warrant his summons. His gaze would travel to Aidou. "Then perhaps we can get down to the matter at hand, unless we are waiting for more to join us?" He would ask, specifically to Aidou though also open to any other answers. His mostly friendly demeanor had been replaced for a more serious one. Whatever was urgent enough to be summoned was urgent enough to be dealt with swiftly to ensure it didn't get worse. Whatever it may have been. But they would need the kids out first, as they would pose a security risk. It wasn't the first time the minister of faunus affairs had tried to have them in on a meeting due to a number of circumstances, but it was something they could not allow for their work. ☽☾☽☾ Post count: 200 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ OOC: Sorry if ti isnt great. The walk to the Sanctuary had been more pleasant than Robin had expected. I guess he can be a gentleman when he wants to. She would smile at the compliment given to her this time. I should hope I'm more beautiful than a building. Making their way up the stairs Robin did her best to keep her composure as Agatane described a passionate memory of his. Quite interesting sir. I'll do my best to be on alert next time. Sir, the me- She had gotten so wrapped up in his tale that he forgot all about the security measures put in place. Robin already saw the guards eyeing her with a quizzical expression, it was rare to see her so dressed up after all. Then Agatane stripped down in front of everyone, both Robin and the guards looked in shock. Sir, you mustn't. Robin more in horror at his request. My what?.
Robin and more importantly Agatane's cheek, had been saved by the sudden arrival of scent of buttery popcorn. Mmmm. With it came a charming guardian in Cedric, the only person able to handle Agatane for extended periods of time. Oh thank you, you magnificent fur ball!! Being bowed to by such a gentleman, her heart almost skipped a beat. It's alright. He didn't touch me inappropriately, in fact up until now he's been a perfect gentleman. She gave Agatane a look that said, I'm letting you off this time. After waiting for Agatane to get dressed, Robin was quite surprised, he didn't half clean up well! It. Suits. You. She said through gritted teeth. If he hadn't gone and put his foot in his mouth, she may have given a proper compliment, but he had no filter, no limit, and Robin was about done on her "day off".
Alright Miss Snow. You gonna make this easy? She stood before the metal detector before stepping back and opening her clutch bag. Knife. Gun. Kneeling down to her ankle she pulled more weapons. Knife. Knife. Reaching back down, she would carefully, so as not to expose herself, pull a gun from her inner right thigh. Gun. Happy!? The guards looked between each other for a moment, then back to Robin. Travelling awfully light today? One would joke. Oh Angelo, what's up? Thought you were at the shelter today? A booming laugh would echo throughout the building. I finished up in time for Mr. Aidou summons! I'm surprised to see you on your day off, today must be important. A sigh would escape her lips as she gave him a warm hug. Yeh... I'll book another.
Maybe they would soon get down to business. His body language showed that he was stressed. The animalistic furs that draped him keeping his body a good temperature in order for him not to freeze to death in this building. Was the A/C on? It could just be his imagination. Being cold-blooded was the most horrific thing that can ever happen to a person. At least, the bright side was he loved the outfits that he got to wear out of it. He was already sitting there waiting on the others. What was he doing previously? Nothing really. Today was a chill day. In fact, he was going to skip out on the meeting but he learned quickly from the past anything he skipped on something he missed something majorly important and he wasn't entirely trusting on the others to fully fill him in either.
His cybernetic eyes scanned around the room trying to take in anything that he could find. Any type of hint of what this could be about. Soon, others filtered in. He wasn't the first one in the room but he was at least glad he wasn't the last one. A small smirk graced his lips once Aggy showed up. His fiery entrance into the room was something that couldn't be annoyed. He always brought life to these tedious things that they did. He wished that he did tone it down a little but he admired a person who was willing to be himself no matter the consequences and how others thought about it. They didn't always agree on things but he considered him someone that was almost trustworthy. Almost.
"My soul is as cold as the blood within my body. I don't think it'll be wise to try to touch it, my dear. I heard that raven tends to cause frostbite to those who have tried before. It's why I am single now" A little bit of a playful vibe to give back to the man. He learned quickly that it's better just play with Aggy instead of trying to scold him and make him turn down. Though, Virulent's words weren't wrong. Anyone that tried to get close to him has been bitten by his coldness. It was his nature. There was no time for such personal fraternizing. Especially when there is so much to do to try to neutralize everything back to its normal way. Maybe that'll never happen but he was going to die trying. He didn't mind the frog talk. In fact, he found that funny. But there was one thing for sure if Aggy tries touching his lips he was going to end up in a toxic situation. Luckily, there were so many people that could be constantly added to his list of romances that Xcoutal could wait it out and be forgotten. Though, he had to commend the man for being so vigilant in his affairs. That seemed like a full-time job. Of course, this was just Xcoutal taking the man's words into it. He didn't believe him at first, but he saw one of his conquests in the flesh. That man had some power to him.
Taking a glance at Miss Arachne, he would then notice the old geezer that was coming in. Xcoutal still felt he was in his twenties. He just hoped his bones never betrayed him to such a level. He seemed to be fully serious. He seemed to want to get down to business. Xcoutal could agree with this as well. He wanted to get down to business also. He wasn't expecting to actually be here. "I agree. If it's as important as the summons made it out to be, then we shouldn't waste time." Xcoutal would comment, readjusting his hood to where it wasn't fully covering his face. His body relaxed as he leaned back in his chair and adjusted his seating. Now comfortable, he awaited like the others. What was the reason for this?
[Time skip -- It has been too long since the original meeting, so this is a new meeting about the event at hand. Please feel free to have your council members already here and seated, or come in fashionably late since this is an emergency meeting.]
Morado walked into the large meeting room with an expression that told of more than his usual exhaustion. He took the seat at the head of the table and laid a stack of folders down neatly in front of him. Making sure to square it off before clearing his throat. "Thank you all for making it today. I would like to officially start our emergency meeting that Nikoletta has called." Morado took a deep breath. He was always calm as he could be during these missions. Being the leader, he was the rock of the council. Or at least strived to be so.
He would wait for the silence to settle before speaking again. "As most of you are aware there was a joint operation between the military and Beacon happening just outside of our walls in the northern region. This mission was supposed to be a fairly low risk mission of the standard kind. Exploration and grimm slaying as per usual. We have recently been informed that there have been quakes along the subterranean route." He would pause and look up to see the reactions of those in the room before continuing. "It turns out that there were likely criminals already in the cavern system. We know this due to the military scouts in the surrounding wilderness who found tracks and alternate entrances far out from our normal surveillance sectors."
Morado paused again. His emotions welling up inside of him. There were young students in this cave, and this next portion melted his heart. "The squads were separated at a scheduled section of the cavern, the Alpha group who proceeded down the main cavern was split in two. Only half of them have returned, and Commander Adao has reported that he does not believe there is any chance the main group survived the initial quake." He choked on the last word. His eyes glossy, but he held strong. "There were two rogue students sighted entering the cavern in search of their fellow students against the direct orders of the commander. Aurtrox had pleaded that one, Yui Estelle de Lioncourt was assigned her role outside of the military's knowledge, but the other, Skylar Aerodel, or just Sky was not." Morado took a deep breath. A little bit of his sadness turning to anger at the chaos that was unfolding. "Before we continue with the final report, I think we should open the floor to Nikoletta as she was the one who called today's meeting." He would hold an arm out as if to motion her to speak.

Notes: "My text bubble." Aidou is very much a geralt as if he was a office worker, except more sensitive and very good with people's emotions overall.. Very good shape for his age, serious, but not too serious, slightly vulgar, a man of power, but not one consumed by it. A man of action in an otherwise office-type situation.

LIES. SLANDER. SECRETS. AND MORE. Many things were kept in the dark, but sooner or later they are revealed. For Xcoutal was a man who knew how ugly things could get with his own experiences in the past. There was more to this. Emergency meeting wasn't what caused him to become suspicious. It was the criminal element that the leader of the council himself admitted was present in the cavern. Virulent wasn't going to speak on it or bring it to light. Not now. Virulent came as soon as he was given the announcement about an emergency meeting. These things usually didn't occur so often so he was a little on edge that they were having one now. It had been a while since they met.
During his spare time, he was being active in the community and gauging people's morale. It was split many different ways. Some people wanted to go home, some were happy being in vale, some were happy being in vale but didn't like how things were ran. People were suffering with the shortages and were envious about the fact that seemed the elites had it all. That wasn't the case. Virulent knew that but he understood that the sight of a poor man, a rich man, and an honest man were all different magnifications.
Hearing of the news that one group didn't make it out was quite disturbing. In fact, he was curious exactly how could this have happened. Was there no adult chaperone or trained huntsmen among them in the groups? He could give some slack in regards to the whole thing since it was suppose to be simple and they had military cooperation as well. It was suppose to be easy. Unfortunately, nothing is never quite so simple.
What was in the cavern? Villains are chaotic but they aren't random. If living in Vacuo taught Virulent anything, its that even a random killing as a reason whether its personal vendetta or just to pacify a cheap thrill. So that leads to two possibilities in Virulents mind. There is either something important in those caverns that is highly sought or there is something in the caverns that shady figures want to keep hidden. But why not have people guard the caverns at the entrance way if want to keep someone out? It wrecked his brain so. Virulent would snap back to reality once the floor was opened to Nikoletta. So much information to process. So little time to comment and keep a good showing in the meeting.
Some may wonder why Virulent wasn't as emotional hearing about the loss? Was he heartless? No. He learned how to deal with loss and to hide away those emotions. The only time that ever slipped was with his adopted daughter, but that was because he felt directly responsible for parents death. Inadequate medical treatment and inadequate information. There was a silver-lining to it all, miracles are possible. Virulent hoped there was 1 left in which this final report was incorrect. Still, he knew this much. Students were missing and dead and it was on Autrox and the military's watch. So what are they going to do about it?
Nikoletta would sigh. She had not wanted to hold this meeting. It was beyond her scope of expertise, however, she knew that her family was involved in this, and she would do anything to protect them. Her precious Asger and Danaë. She wanted to focus on the Omega side of things, however, she knew that there were children of other parents.
She would stand ahead, her white feathers almost gleaming in the spotlight. "As was explained before, there are 3 groups of students that have been effected by this. I split them into 3 groups, because we have not only the Alpha and Omega groups, but the Alpha group was split into 2, the ones that have escaped, and the ones that have not." She would explain. She wanted to confirm if the other group was truly lost. "Lately, the military has been ranking things as low risk, but forgetting whom they are putting in. It's our children that they are putting in danger. We need to leave it to the professionals rather than the students. My proposal at this time, is to leave all missions to hunters that are actually licensed. We can send a single team from beacon to shadow them, however, this is not the first time a mission involving students has gone south."
▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ As Aidou would begin to explain the context of the meeting and background, Alfred would sit quietly in his chair with arms folded in front of him. While more focused on the medical field he had heard of the mission; primarily because his nephew, if the child could be called that, was on the mission itself. It had been about some cavern nearby the walls of Vale itself being discovered recently, if he recalled correctly, and even Aidou would say it was supposed to be a standard mission that was seen done everyday. Given the operation was joint school and military, he wondered what could have occurred to necessitate the meeting itself. As he would mention there likely being criminals in the cavern, many questions entered Alfred's mind. 'What could criminals want with the cavern? How could they know of alternate entry points we did not? How did the military not find these routes before? What did the quakes do?' He thought. Far too many questions, and far too little answers at present. Trying to process all this, his expression would remain stone faced despite the inner worries that something was going on. While there was worries about the students well being, there was the practical side that had a worry of what was in that cavern. As AIdou would pause, Alfred could tell the man was barely holding it together in regards to the situation at hand. He almost felt bad for the man, but this was the risk in the huntsman academy itself. Everyday, as a doctor, there was always the chance that you would have to decide who lived and who died. Those you couldn't save. While he wanted to save everyone, he like many others had grown the detachment needed to cope with such things.
As Aidou would collect himself enough to speak, he would mention the groups split as planned...but that one group got split further, with only half of them making it out of the cavern and the other expected to have not survived. Alfred's expression betrayed the slightest look of pain at hearing the news...but he composed himself and pushed it away. Such was the cost at times, though it made him wonder; 'The military had found the cavern suitable for students. And I have heard no mention of them sending their own to help. Were they set up to fail?' He pondered silently to himself. It was no secret the military and beacon academy did not get along, so it was not out of the question. But he would need to learn more f the details before he could claim any such thing reasonably. For now he could only focus on the information presented before him. Aidou would then go to mention two rogue students would go into the cavern to search for the other students, one with permission from Aurtrox...Which Alfred was not surprised to hear he did so without consulting with military, and the other with no permission. Without a word, Alfred would bring up the files of both students to review as well during this privately. As well, he would try to find the original plan for the mission to see what could have gone wrong and to get a better idea of the situation there.
And around the time he would open the floor to Nikoletta, to which Alfred would listen to as he researched. Rather than focus on a solution to this situation at hand, she would seem to go to the future focus and use this as an example not to have students do missions and leave them to licensed hunters. She had made a good point of this not being the first time, the school recently being subject to many misfortunes and the loss of numerous student lives. As she finished, Alfred would clear his voice audibly before speaking. "I know some of us here have a vested interest in the well being of the students on the mission, as we should all, we should also take into account all factors before we go straight to using this to deny them missions for their safety. The first, plainly speaking, is what the military is doing about this. With this being a joint operation, how are they handling trying to recover the students? I would assume they would've sent a few of their own with them to ensure safety...though with quakes and potential criminal elements here I can see how things could go so badly. And the second question we have to ask and find out; what is in those caverns that potential criminals would want hidden?" Alfred would pause, giving a respectful look to both Shin and Nikoletta as he had seen their children on the list, but a piercing one to Aidou. As head of council, he should have the most answers out of everyone there. At least he would assume missions like this, while not exactly in his own job description, would at least be sent to inform him ahead of time. "But to address your proposal, do we even have the numbers in terms of licensed hunters to do so? I had always assumed they were given missions deemed suitable to their levels; so is it really a fault of the students or rather the ones who designate what missions are appropriate for them? As harsh as it may seem, we may not have the luxury of not having them take missions. The threat of grimm, criminals, and the size of our population is working against us." He would ask, honestly and eyes first towards Nikoletta then Aurelia, unsure with the current state of the world and Vale they had the numbers to deal with every mission or threat that had popped up in recent memory. He was not accusing Aurelia of being the one to give them inappropriate missions, but more so she may have an idea as to the number of licensed hunters available and know the capability of the students. As bad as it may be to think it, if they didn't have the numbers, for survivals sake they may have to keep sacrificing the willing youth to keep the threat of Grimm at bay. They already have a variety of issues with population alone and all the immigrants from the falling nations; if they didn't keep pushing boundaries and expending themselves they could reasonably fail by hiding behind their walls. ☽☾☽☾ Post count: 200 ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ ▃ OOC: Let me know if I need to fix something. •°o.O Arachne Webb O.o°• •°o.O Shadow Council Member to Ministry of Culture // Dressmaker O.o°• All eyes had fallen onto the white-haired councilman as he walked in. The distress he displayed was plain to see despite his best efforts to control it. The tall spider woman would sit up straight and proper as she would listen silently. Her eyes looking to the speaker, in this case Morado, as he would begin to speak once he was in the room. To his thanks, she merely nodded slightly."Why are we here though?"Arachne's expression clearly said before he would continue to speak then looked to the Faunus Affairs Minister and back again. When he mentioned the joint mission between Vale's military and Beacon, she would nod.
Of course she knew; her and the Minister of Culture had worked together in order to control the media reports about such things. Though it was no secret that the military and the Hunter's School would sometimes send out students with them, how bad things got Was kept from the Public before there could be kingdom-wide panic. It was this control of the media that kept the Public from going into too much panic and/or uproar about the young hunters and huntresses going into danger. Also, positive publicity of the program helped to promote the School's prestige as the best for training future hunters and huntresses; they were Vale's future protectors of the common-folk. More often than not, a necessary sacrifice.
As Morado updated them on the rather...distressing report on this emergency meeting's purpose."Villains? How long have these troublemakers been around the caves?..."Arachne thought with a bit of anger. As the Shadow Minister of Culture, she was quite irked to know that in covering up information of the caves from the general public, such beings of ill-repute still learned of such things. Though, it annoyed her more that their military had no thought or commands to Guard the caves before the mission to make sure that Beacon's students had a decent chance of exploring with their military into the caves in the first place. This led to her next lines of thought and concern as she would turn her attentions towards Councilwoman Sved. As she explained that a mix of Military and Beacon Students were separated into three different groups inside the caves (rather than the planned two groups), her frown deepened. There was too much chance of casualties towards minors; possibly even Death! The arachnid faunus began rubbing her temples at the thoughts that ran through her mind as she thought of how to control the media once again."The Media's going to have a ******** field day if they get whiff of even a Snippet of this."
Cold? Maybe, but the sooner information on this Disaster of a "mission" was handled, the faster they could prevent potential panic among the General Public. This was by no means her first disaster, after all, they had contained the attack on Beacon quite well, in her own opinion. Although, she would admit, that could have been handled better. "I quite agree with you, these are our children, but we also knew the risks when we allowed them to attend the school," She replied in a calm tone. While agreeing that the military and the school were taking a risky chance, but also that this was not unexpected when allowing their children to train for such dangers in future. Even though she knew if it were her own children involved, as a mother she too would be more than livid. She had been lucky in that her twins had no such interests.
As a shadow council member though, she knew she had to keep her head level at this time; nothing gets done well when one's mind is fretted after all. Her gaze turned from one councilman/woman to the next as she took in the varying degrees of expressions around the room in silence. Resting only unto Councilman Sanguis when he spoke up. He was one of the eldest of the council members, so she knew he held much wisdom. And despite her minor dislike of him, she respected him for the knowledge he held of the past. The questions he brought up were ones that could clearly be seen in the rest of their eyes and possibly even their thoughts and she was relieved someone finally asked. The point he brought up though about the students made her nod in response. As for the resources and how to proceed, she would look to the others, having no solutions herself at this time.

Agatane Von Lorenzia the 15th Vale council: Council member of Labor | Nobility | Base Level 2 What's he up to: Listening and attending meeting
------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~~
"There's nothing better in life than feeling alive, having your purpose, and being that piece of the puzzle to help the world be more PASSIONATE. We are all humans inside one way or the other. It's a matter of choosing the way to that purpose."- Agatane Von Lorenzia the 15th ------~~~------~~~------~~~------~~~~
Sufferin' succotash.Of all things to have happened, an emergency meeting had to have been called. The patrol on the streets had been cancelled, and it was clear he was a tired one, from the lack of enthusiasm having been made when he had entered through the doors. For once, Aggy had been early. A shocker, though his reasons were for once, on someone else's accord, rather than his own. Aurtrox had quite the paperwork for those filling out the forms on their children or adopted kiddos having proper acceptance into his academy! Having finished the final forms needed to keep his darling maids within the academy walls, he had finished off a signature with him being the sole guardian, putting Cedric under as a Mrs. for him. Being the one to deliver the forms, Cedric of course, hadn't found that funny in the slightest when he was addressed as a butch woman from the mail courier. After argument, and a good right hook, there was Aggy presently, at his seat, hiding a black eye from behind his sunglasses. Damaging his wonderful face had him... Sour? The last minute emergency meeting had been a good timed escape from that chaos, one that showed only the positive note of approachment from him to be at least somewhat interested, reason of meeting vary. After the last time he was within this room, there was all knowing knowledge towards Nikoletta, and the protectiveness of her children, after hearing on the tail end her personal commentary on trusting those with her children. The moment Morado had spoken of this to have been Nikoletta who had called it, there was skepticism. "Surely, this is not about to be a meeting about people treating her children like vulnerable glass objects?"Motherhood was indeed a scary thing to see. He was gracious his mother was not so protective as he knew Nikoletta to be. Dear heavens should he had grown up to be a sheltered child with no adventure!...
That was what the younger Aggy would have said though. Having two of his own to be more father-like about, there's been understanding more so as to reasons for Nikoletta's actions in some cases. Once they had actually began on the meeting itself, there were indeed fireworks erupting in his head. this whole mission entirely had him on edge, having wished he had been able to raise the proposing idea he had been conjuring up for months to bring up. There was never a good time to do it. To hear from Nikoletta going into further detail, some of the intel brought to their attention... Was disturbing in the slightest. If only he would of had that chance! His idea could have been beneficial to all of this!!! Clenching his fists upon the table, every nerve was striking at the normally passionately happy man. "WHY WERE THEY SPLIT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE!? Had they sent those children in, WITHOUT MILITARY TO ACCOMPANY THEIR SAFETY!? Had NO ONE heard of safety in numbers!? Was such a thing now extinct!?" The thought had practically screamed in his mind. Perhaps it was the black eye stinging fresh, but the sheer aggravation to all of this was getting more obvious by the second. There was no mention on whether military had accompanied these groups at all, which could only leave the council on that one minor detail in the dark. Surely the Head of military could shed some light, or some more darkness of knowing into the situation? Just where was the Councillor of defense for that matter!? Who allowed that one group of children to have possibly died!? The very thought of this had him shivering. Had Rammie or Nibbie been part of that and been rendered missing, he would have surely been as frantically concerned as Nikoletta was to have brought this up. In light of the horror behind the whole deal, two of the three groups accounted for as alright had brought only some assurance. To see there were villians at fault, and rogue students being crazy enough to go rogue, Aggy could only rub his forehead in aggravation. "Rogue students crazy enough to pursue... Dastardly evil beings hiding within confinements of the unknown, and within the darkness their dirty hearts transpire and love embracing..." The first thing he had said all meeting, and this was all under his breath. Too much chaos into one package. Could something not have gone right for any of this?
Of course that was about to be jinxed, with more turmoil of idea from the very council themself. Had Nikoletta completely lost it? Take away a learning experience from children, leaving it to those who are just as at risk? Of course the idea wasn't too bad, though it would seem she was not considering some facts, or rather more giving enough insight to sway. Alfred had then spoken up among his thoughts. Hmph. He was one of the most serious people he had ever met in his whole life. There were times he wanted to tempt that man, to take take him out for a night on the town to loosen that persona of his up! "Old age shouldn't mean to act that age too!" Despite what he thought outside of the walls of this building, he considered Sanguis within these walls his benefactor on getting right to the heart of things, always with the questions no one else spoke of often. Even now. Speaking questions on Nikoletta's insight to what could be done, Sanguine brought up many good points. Points that even had the shadow councillor of culture speak up in agreement. From behind his shades, he was taking in the mixed expressions, trying to get a reading of his own. Some were all too silent, giving a poker face. Pah!! This wasn't time for that kind of thing~! What happened to this being a thing, where everyone opened up their opinions and shared their insights!!! He absolutely loved the chaos mixed opinions carried! Of course, even Aggy could not be silenced forever. Of course, with that added, really too over dramatic sigh he always enjoyed making for a starter, he finally began speaking as well. "Very well brought up Sanguine ol' pal! I must applaud this! I full heartedly agree, and mus throw in a question of my own! Dear, sweet, Nikoletta. I see your point in such an idea, but to just outright rid the proper training the future huntresses and hunters out there from taking part in things that would help that level of success.... Is just downright going to destroy the very fabrication Beacon academy was built for. This is a situation where any side of the coin, both students, or even fully licensed hunters, could have their lives forfeit. Both sides have loss. It is a shame that this time around, it is possibly children who are now sharing grave markings with others of their calibur for that matter. It also bother me as well, how the military so...." Just the thought of the military alignment had him sizzling, to a point he had hit his fist off the table. "Could have been so foolish, to let these children get harmed in this matter! Our military personnel... I must wonder the same thing our dear Sanguine has mentioned!Just WHAT is it they were doing?" taking a breather, Aggy sat himself back into his seat, clearly trying to get back into his usually peppy mood. "I have a counter point~! Considering this is a clear mix of tragedy and possible loss... Why do we not have the military reconnaissance overlook areas once a mission has been completed. Dare I say this as well, as it is an indeed true factor, that we are limited on those fully licensed.... Ah~ My counterpoint is this: Could we not begin seeking out hunters, those fully licensed, and those still students in senior calibers... with a wide range semblance base, or act as escort, and help achieve the safety of students? I must dare to impose adding those of winged beings, or those highly skilled in escaping areas, to act as the intel! I have one other solution One from this very beautiful brain...." Leaving it hanging in the air, it was clear he could throw that pitch in his mind he had for weeks!
(ooc: The proposition he is panicking about is the one I brought up a few months ago when Eddy and Ms. Eddy were around, and 4 of you had thought it to have been an interesting idea to add in lol)

[Time skip -- It has been too long since the original meeting, so this is a new meeting about the event at hand. Please feel free to have your council members already here and seated, or come in fashionably late since this is an emergency meeting.]
Morado would sniffle a bit, but he would try and keep a stoic demeanor as the others spoke. Internally, he agreed with Nikoletta on some of the issues, some sort of change needed to happen that protected the children of Beacon. On the other hand they were in a combat school, and so they couldn't shelter them completely. Also, this was a joint mission between the military and students, so was there really anything more that could have been done? He was unsure, but his heart ached for those students believed dead. Alfred had some great questions to that he would like to address, but that he would do last. First, he would turn to Nikoletta. "Nikoletta, correct me if I am wrong, but what you are saying is that you wish for military personnel to escort students on all missions then?" Morado asked the avian minister. He wasn't sure what the best route was, but having military escorts may stunt the children's ability to grow. He would hear out all opinions on the matter before making up his mind. He wanted the council to come to their natural decision before he weighed in with his own mind.
Agatane would at first be very subdued, but when he did speak Morado found himself in agreement. On one hand, someone was to blame, but it was a great misfortune in general. The military being the seniors in this joint operation would likely take the blame, but even they were due mercy with current information. It was a tragedy through and through. "It is unfortunate that neither of the pertinent ministers are here. I would love to hear what Eteria and Aurtrox have to say for themselves, but they are preoccupied." He would pause with a sidelong glance towards the backroom where he left his scroll. Wondering if he had any notices about the ministers whereabouts. Surely they were both at the scene currently. "I know Aurtrox was at the scene, does anyone know where Eteria is?" His expression was grim.
Morado, like most, wished to know more details about the incident at hand, but without Eteria and Aurtrox they were limited, and likely would have to simply wait. He turned to Alfred now. "While the protection of our children is easily the top priority of Vale, Agante has a point, they are being trained to deal with this type of situation. I feel we must find a balance. We can neither place a moratorium on Beacon for sending students into dangerous missions, nor can we do nothing. We must take action, or else I fear the public's reaction will cause a riot." He paused a short moment. Knowing Alfred was wise and would see it from both sides, or at least, he hoped so. "I am not sure we can jump to any decision hastily until we first interrogate the ministers responsible..." Morado took a deep breath. He leaned back in his chair frustrated. "I think we should adjourn until we Eteria, though, maybe Aurelia has some information for us?" He would look around the room to see who agreed before his steely gaze turned to Aurelia, he hoped she would enlighten them on any new information she may have. He had always tried to create a sense of camaraderie within the council, but they were clearly divided. He would let anyone speak who wished too though. The meeting was not officially over, yet.

┏━━━━━━━━┓ Aurelia Hayes ┗━━━━━━━━┛ ✬Deputy Head Mistress of Beacon Academy✬ Shadow Education Minister✬
For a brief moment, Aurelia was glad Aurtrox wasn't there. Certainly, she would have preferred he faced the council about the latest incident, while she dealt with rescue attempts and information gathering. Upon hearing Nikoletta's suggestion about not letting students go on missions in general, she could picture Aurtrox standing up so quickly his chair went flying backwards while he berated Nikoletta. Then the council would have their backs up and be more likely to agree to Nikoletta's proposal, even if there weren't enough huntsman to go around. Aurelia, on the other hand, let the other ministers speak first to get a feel for the mood in the room. She was pleasantly surprised to find many who had spoken not pinning the blame entirely on Beacon and pushing back against the idea of preventing students from going on missions. She had been expecting to have to try to fight Beacon out of a corner.
She nodded when Morado asked if she had any information to share. "Firstly, the current status of affairs. Drones and military personal have been sent to clear the rubble of the cave in. Once a pathway has been opened a rescue team will be sent in. With all due respect to Commander Adao, I believe it is far too early to presume anyone dead. Contact has also been lost with the Omega team. The military sent a Valian Knight-300 with the Omega team, however, it has stopped responding. It is unknown if the single was simply lost due to the structure of the cave, or if something else happened. Seismic activity has been detected in the area of Omega cave, and it is suspected there might be a dormant volcano. in the area, which could be contributing factors to the Valian Knight not responding." With what was known about the current status of the students, she moved onto relevant background information. "Alpha cave was deemed relatively safe, with large open areas making combat easier in the event the students did come across Grimm, but was largely considered an exploration mission. Our less experienced students were assigned to Alpha. Omega was considered the more dangerous of the two, being the smaller cave. Our senior students along with our combat Professor, and the previously mentions military drone were sent with them. They ran into the leader of team CAPE, another group of senior students who have been quite successful in their missions so far. It was reported that one teammate was dead." Aurelia pointedly left out the part about the dead teammate being partially eaten, "And two others were deeper in the cave. Rescuing the two missing students were given priority over questioning the found member about what they were doing in the caves, and he appeared uninjured and thus was given the go-ahead to join Omega. The cave system is clearly outside of their current mission parameters. Lastly, the Alpha teams which returned brought back a large metallic object, which might be the answer to the question of why villains are in the area. It is currently in military custody."
Post Count: 125+2 Bonded: Aurtrox Ap Krayeth Empathy: Passive (1.5 meters) / Active (0/4 use 0/4 CD 10 meter range) Mind Reading: Passive (Skin contact) / Active (0/4 use 0/8 CD 10 meter Range) Mind Link: Inactive / Active (0/6 use 0/6 CD 20 meter range)
Nikoletta would close her Cirtine eyes. She understood where they were coming from, but there were starting to have mass deaths of students, and she knew they couldn't afford to pay people hush money to cover it up. Maybe she had spoken too soon, she had not wanted to lead this meeting in the slightest, however, Morado had convinced her to instead of rushing off to save her children.
She would turn to Morado. "Yes, in my haste, either the military, with human guards, or a single trained hunter. They can still learn, and they could step in when things looked dire." She would look at Agatane, she did not want to take down the system that was there, however, these big missions were causing far more deaths.
She would then look at Aurelia. "Yes, however why weren't military sent in with the students in the first place. I understand that a drone was sent with Omega, but why a small team of military personnel? Alpha may have seemed safer, however, why weren't they sent in with an escort at all?" She was keeping herself calm, though part of her wanted to leave the meeting, and fly off to the area to pick up her children and protect them.
