Cracklestreak was still shaking his paw at the hill as his brain (and head - it will definitely hurt for a while) slowly stopped aching. It never did occur to him that he had wanted Amberbriar as his mate for a really really long time and inadvertently said it out loud (something about stars aligning...forests aligning...something like that) It was only when she brushed against him that he jolted.
"Um..wha-" His eyes were clouded with confusion at first, not sure what was happening....OH!
"Ohmygodohmygodohmygod.." he panicked - He really was not supposed to say that out loud. But... looking into her beautiful eyes, he gulped and braced himself.
"Uhireallylikeyouandwouldyouliketobemymateforlifeohmygodyouarereallybeautiful" In his nervousness, he rushed through his words, his voice slowly getting softer.

"Yes!" Amberbriar blurted out as soon as Cracklestreak got the words out. She wanted to wanted to fling herself at him, but with the tumble and him looking like he might have hurt his head caused her to stop herself. Not to mention she was beginning to feel just how sore her own body was, specifically her paw that she had been holding up.
"I love you, Cracklstreak!" she purred, licking his head and ear again. "We should probably get back and get our injuries looked at"

Cracklestreak nearly jumped out of his skin when she replied to him with a loud "YES". He did wince as well, eyes a little too wide for his liking, like he is on catnip when there is none to be found around them.
"Oh wow, uh, okay, uh... " Here is where he gave up putting what he is thinking into words. "I love you too! Ow... " He winced again.
"I'm okay... Where did the .. ow..." He was trying to be brave, really, by not showing that he is injured but failing. He nodded slightly, not quite there but knowing Amberbriar will not lead him astray.
