"Well I wouldn't call something that has yet to be proven and confirmed classified." He'd breathe a sigh. It had after all been five years since the assumed hunch that said clone could exist and what with the five years passing he had made this joke, I suppose only he could have understood the unwarranted feeling of it possibly existing. Kagerou may have rightly believed that he was concerned about how others viewed him. This wasn't so much the case as he was more concerned with how his actions could ultimately affect others. As it always has been. This was the man who threw his reputation to the birds after all with the rather undemocratic ascension of Arashi followed by its isolation. For Kagerou to assume such wouldn't cross his mind. Then again this is why people had separate thoughts. He couldn't outwardly defend himself in regards to Kagerou's presumptions that he'd suddenly started taking to caring about self-image however, he could clear up the misunderstanding she seemed to be having.

"Let me ease your concerns even if they don't ease my own. I was merely referring to a case some five years old now that had caused me some trouble sleeping back then. Taking into account there hasn't been a similar case in years now it was simply as the twin kage must have said just my imagination. As such, the short end of it allow me to clear things up in saying there is no clone. At least, that's what I want to believe...but in believing that then I still cannot explain...AH!" Toso began to ramble clearly this was some sort of scenario he hadn't shared with Kagerou in their psychiatric sessions. The truth behind that age old photo he had that he could never explain that Homura had long tossed into a dusty cabinet to fade from existence but not from the mind on occasion.

"Are you quite alright?" the need for the emergency button pressing became unnecessary but it seemed Kagerou was immersed in her own work and emotions. Slowly did he approach like that of a fresh lab intern carrying both curiosity and concern whilst Kagerou jotted furiously. He would then look to the clones of Kagerou on the side lines whom all carried the same expression giving him neither confirmation nor denial on the happenstance. Kagerou's finding would start to divulge themselves. The portion of her body that of which had been renewed on a cellular level revealed to be healthy for the most part. Discerning whether one's life span was lessened or not however was not something so simple. Determining something like that often required an individual with the capability to well, read life spans and souls. Something such as a Miyamoto or similar.

However, there would be...anomalies. Dosages were to be taken in masterful and precise amounts. This was primarily what Toso desired to warn Kagerou about, and moreover what made him seem to weigh heavy on the testing phase requiring well..'something' to regenerate until the ideal dosage was found. Similar results occurred in the test animals and what that result was would be Kagerou's new cells starting to have a negative response to the rest of her body. Redness, followed by itchiness, irritation, and finally becoming full dermatitis. In a sense, the serum functioned in an all or nothing way. Since the dosage was imperfect so to was the regeneration. At the very least it seemed like it wasn't anything critical...only annoying and of course itchy. The new layer of cells seemed to be conflicting with the rest of Kagerou's bodies' old layer as if in a manner stating they weren't getting along. This would be the case for now. Three days from now however, the new cells and old cells would adapt to each other...but, of course, she wouldn't be able to know this now. Perhaps with a little more tweaking this irritation could also be circumvented.

"Looking a might bit red there Ka-nee. Would you like if I procure a ehm...cream of sorts from outside? Should Kagerou attempt to use any form of Eiseijutsu to try and quell this irritation an inconvenient side effect would, in turn, be getting even itchier. Since the regeneration stemmed from chakra it seemed chakra treatment for side effects only served to irritate the condition more.

Toso much to a surprising turn of events would approach Kagerou and then give her a small embrace. "Ah, I am so elated that nothing of the extreme sort happened to your person." The embrace would end as quickly as it came before he'd be forcibly removed via muscle shock or some other means of contact denial hopefully. "That said, I suppose this concludes our trial periods today. Unless of course something else is on your mind." The squidman would chime with a friendly kind of demure. The elation and sudden feminence and flamboyance in his posture was a likely sign he'd taken a mental shift from his former earlier panicked self.

There was a number of things to talk about, the mention of this presumed clone, her current position in Arashigakure's social and political structure, fortunately in this current time line Kagerou had yet to confer with Kagami, there was also the matter of a mr doggo and doggos son if that needed mentioning, or perhaps the debt she'd taken with that fellow named after icecream made with egg whites. That was what gelato was made of wasn't it. That said Toso waited with baited breathe to here what the woman who seemed to be sacrificing her livelihood and sanity for him had to say.

The squid man chuckled. "Oh no, I appreciate the concern Ka-nee but my goals, why...well I cannot deny that it is indeed a foolish hope." The overwhelmingly optimistic seeming squid man would twirl his cane to rest on it with both hands. "I want to make the world immortal, and fill it with endless imaginative possibilities." He'd turn around and look at the paned glass of the room where his reflection would be cast. "Life and Death. Some say it's the natural order of things. The serum is simply one part of plan with many parts. Taking Arashigakure into the sky...was a success so imagine what could be possible with more time, perchance we can even achieve a village in the stars." The man would say with a twinkle in his glasses. "The brightest minds, the purest souls, their lives are cut down, their dreams often cut short by the twisted and by old age but imagine what humanity could accomplish given we gain the means to live forever."

He'd sound incredibly wistful as if in full realization that the words coming out of his mouth were but a pipe dream and empty ambitions. "If the serum is perfected man need not fear death, if the serum is regulated then those who are corrupt and impure of heart will die out, defeated by old age or attrition. Man need not fear ever losing his loved one, man need not fear the worlds dangers. With enough progress man can spread throughout every corner of the planet, the sky, the sea, beneath the sea, nay the universe unhindered! The ultimate freedom bloop! To have as much time as one could ever desire to take in the entirety of everything and all beside the ones they love!" He'd spread his arms wide as if getting ready to introduce a sideshow act before calming down and turning back to Kagerou. "The ability to amass and see to it that as much wisdom and intelligence continues to grow exponentially to the point we achieve a true state of enlightenment this is what I'm hoping these small steps will eventually lead to."

"For the people that want to live." Toso would say somewhat withdrawn into himself looking down at his shoes before turning around. He'd take a seat and rather than look at Kagerou looked at the table with the phials of serum sitting plainly. His reflection casted in the the silvery sheen. "They say that every man has a right to his own life. If that were the case then why is ending it with ones own hands so frowned upon." he'd toy with one of the phials as he plucked it from the case. "Its because its a loss of potential." He'd place the phial back. "Art and innovation flourishes in the face of adversity. Simply because the problem of death is solved does not mean there won't be more problems to come. People will always have their own thoughts, their own free will, and their own opinions. These will always clash and these will always inspire in one way or another. There is no such thing as a perfect utopia because it is the flaws and imperfections that make humanity human." He'd place the serum back in the case, close it and nod. "The more minds that work together, the more connections that are made, the greater the chances of facing adversities and discovering things from them." Toso laughed. "Ingenuity, I believe, shines brightest when challenged not by death but fear and adversity and their certainly will be an endless supply of such when diving into the unknown especially when powered by the best and brightest and those with potential whose lives rather than lost are instead cultivated."

"Nikkyo." Toso would rub the temples of his head when hearing that name. That entire industry was a headache. "My, well you've just slain any expressiveness I could have had bringing up that name. bloop." Exasperated in a sigh he'd look down at the paper. Of course, delving into business that they had no business knowing despite having a business for knowing. "Well, I cannot divulge the whereabout of Homura bloop. Especially to the likes of Nikkyo. My apologies. As for the rest of information have you perchance...considered well...embellishing?" Toso would straight out in the blunt of it just tell Kagerou to lie which was something completely uncharacteristic of the squidman. Aside, well the one biggest lie he'd ever told.

Toso would then touch the side of glasses. An ethereal screen appearing before him. The 'Looking Glass' a device Toso used to keep track of and manage records among other things in the village. He'd check prison records, He'd cross reference Ken, then cross reference relations, then cross reference incarcerations then cross reference criminal record in correlation. He'd narrowed down the alleged individuals only to then press his temple again and close these 'windows' "I see Nikkyo has gotten you tangled in one of their illustrious contracts. As much as I hate to say this what merit do you find currently in this? This, Peroperosuke is allegedly incarcerated for the murder of three individuals, on top of his nephew has amassed quite the sum in damages property and otherwise?"

Once that was answered he'd take in the information as give his thoughts about it after he'd state the following. "Honestly I'm surprised Kagerou. I'd have thought you'd collected a tidy sum of such menial information regarding my person already. My insecurity about my middle surname, that leading into my spitefulness of being stepped on physically, the fact you were there for the sealing of Sai-chan, that my take and proficiency in combat fluctuates, that I have the fear of being consumed and plastic bags with how they eerily appear as jellyfish and yet I'm not fearful of actual jellyfish...and the fear that one day...my mind may fail me as I forget everyone, every moment, and everything I once loved and cherished.

Hearing the story of the boy named Akito and his father was a curious one. Kemonoten was a village that openly accepted Kemonomimi, so perhaps Kagerou was getting her terms mixed. Then again it could have been very likely that even in the aforementioned 'Beast Heaven' there could still loom a purist sect. Toso would then smile. "I'm glad your true to your doctor patient confidentiality, for a second there I'd believed you'd rightly ready to have told them. To which case I wouldn't be able to help but feel slightly betrayed. It also helps ease the suspicions of you being an aformentioned spy as Shion has stated...ah, but working with Nikkyo." Toso would scratch the non-exsistent scruff of his chin then nod. What worked one way could work another. If Kagerou could 'infiltrate' Nikkyo perchance he had the means of benefiting aswell. That group of individuals with tasty names never gave straight answers, always would beat around the bush, and exploit legal loop holes to degrees he didn't think possible. If anything Toso knew they were up to something just not what.

Kagerou's proposition of an exchange of personal information struck a bit of a interest from the man. Well...a bit was an under statement. His head would flood with things he could ask but uncertain where to begin...but more importantly Kagerou had said something that giddied the mans up. 'respect for you as a friend' Ho. That was confirmation that the two were friends now wasn't it. Another shift in mood to a more cheerful demeanor. "Well. If you're giving me the chance bloop. I'll be sure to try and make my questions quite brutal bloo bloo bloo in exchange for disclosing this information to..Nikkyo.' He's sigh and adjust his glasses. "Why does it seem like you try to distance yourself from people Ka-nee, barring the simple ambiguity of being a shinobi of course? Secondly, how often do you feel lonely? Lastly, what can I do to help YOU? After all you seem rather adamant about helping others."

Despite his questions and getting answers for them Toso was partially still left curious as to what nay who the person known as Kgerou Kiritani was. Her loyalties were laid in her family, that was something Toso could 'partially' understand. Family before business. Yet to say his loyalties were the same with his own family would be laughable. Toso would nod in appreciation of Kagerou opening up to him and also take a bit of enjoyment in seeing a little more peppishness coming from the woman who could otherwise be considered his other half when it came to unflinching displays of facial expressions.

"I'll do well to see what I can find. Those names however, Kiritani and Uchiha. The way you say them they sound like family bloop. You did say you put your family as your priority so I can't help but wonder perhaps are these members of your family that you maychance be looking as if lost bloop? You needn't answer of course. I've fairly spent all my questions allowed." Toso would say in good humor. Yet...they way Kagerou also described her placing her priorities to her family sounded more as though she was indentured if not 'enslaved' by it/them. He shook his head. Perhaps this nothing. Baseless assumption after all Kagerou had displayed herself a strong woman of her own free will. If her family were to demand something of her she wished not to do certainly she could refuse as she did him many times in the past.

Toso would then tap his cane on the side of the table looking at Kagerou's limp arm. Then back to Kagerou. "Well I suppose you should see to getting that treated then. I'll not take up more of your time Ka-nee. I know you are a busy woman after all and I've unfortunately made you all the more busier bloop." Toso would open the door to the office but not leave instead he'd watch Kagerou to ensure that she was truly fine and capable of doing what she needed to. He'd of course leave the case with the serum on her table for her to do with as she pleased until he'd next return.
