Sign up results: Our one newbie gets to have 2 points that they can allocate to whomever they're interested in most!
What about the rest of ya? Get outta here. Game over. Midnightspirit is taking all these nightmares home. I'm just joshin' ya. Since all of your nightmares are chill with mutants you get 1 point to allocate wherever you'd like! You cannot hold this point until later rounds.
All of you will be utilizing the form that I'm going to be posting here for a majority of the prompts. It will also be on the second page. I will also probably provide the form in each post, but you have to keep care of your own points.
You still here? Cool! Here's your first prompt! Prompt One:Results and new prompt will be given on 7/18 at 10PM PST. When your nightmare arrives your dates were already here! Oh no. Checking the time (unless your someone like Fritz), your nightmare realizes that you didn’t come late. For whatever reason, all of the other nightmares either arrived when you did or came early. Weird. Now that you’re here…who do you approach first?
A tan bakeneko with platinum blond and pink fur, looking cute and ready for an adventure. Was that a collar on their neck? A blue fallen/cherub hybrid who looks to be from some high class family. They seem very poised. A tan goblin with short orange hair and a long tail. Their expression is one of unease, but there’s just something warm and comfortable about them. A slaugh with antlers. Fruit is budding from the tips. The nightmares arm mouths seem to be coming up for a bite at the fruits. Maybe you can get one too! Why approach one when you can talk to them all at the same time!
Username: Option picked: Can be just the letter/number. Response: This is where your roleplay tidbit goes. Can be as short or as long as you'd like. Point tally:
Bakeneko score: Fallen hybrid score : Goblin score: Slaugh score:
((YAY! ::takes them all, creates a mutant army, returns to take over and enslave the pure races:: . VENGEANCE! ::cough:: ...::cough cough:: oh there was more.. lalalala don’t mind me ::laughing nervously :: j/k and thanks o.o )) Username: MidnightSpirit Option picked: 2 Response: Tri had calmly made his way to the meeting place, arriving right on time even if he had been meaning to arrive sooner to watch the others come instead of the other way around. He had a feeling his friend who had helped him find this meet-up had also tried to hold him back to the last possible moment so not to be ...awkward.
Tri sighed softly to himself, mildly nervous but still radiating a calm demeanor as he cast his gaze around, surprised to note all the mutants had arrived on time or even earlier.
Perhaps they were just as nervous or wanted to see if there was trouble before staying around for the stragglers.
His gaze passed over them, pausing on the bakeneko’s collar for a moment with a dark look before moving on and pausing on the fallen/cherub. He was already moving before he thought to much on it. “Good afternoon” he addressed them formally.

Username: Melomar Option picked: 4 Response: Uaithne surveyed the small date-app crowd and found their diversity to be refreshing. After looking at everyone very quickly he reminded himself that looks can be deciving. Taken from the half-kirin with the shaved mane.
If he were to go on first impressions, he could probably assume he could find the most common ground with the bakeneko for their taste in accessories if nothing else. But if it were him, he would not want to be judged on his idea of a good time based on a collar. His was just a prop from work that he'd forgotten to take off, so why assume anything about the neko?
He noted the cherub-fallen hybrid and thought he did have a weakness for gentler society. He could make out all right among them too, if he had to, but did not, had never, and never would actually fit in there. He could just as easily assume certain stigmas about fallen personalities as he could that this person had splurged on that one really nice outfit for making good first impressions.
And what about the other two? He had no opinion for one way or another, not even the sluagh, although he was naturally curious about the extra mouths and fruit-bearing antlers. As for goblins, he did not have much experience with them but this individual seemed a bit nervous. Was that strange or normal?
In short, he had no preference to use as a starting point to work from. Whom to approach? To date, his best plan for most situations was to start at one end and go on toward the other until he got there. He would use that strategy today, as long as he was allowed.
He approached the sluagh. "Hey. I'm Uaithne. And you must be?" Point tally: 1

Mel wasn't exactly comfortable. Blind dating seemed....odd, but it was a good chance to meet people and make friends, and frankly they needed more friends at the very least. When arriving to see everyone else already here, they swallowed, pausing nervously before taking a deep breath and approaching. Who to approach? The choice was easy - the other person who seemed just as uncomfortable as them. Risking a slight, nervous smile, Mel approached the goblin with the beautifully bright hair.

Username: Duke of Donut Option picked: 3 Response: Amadeus didn’t really… date. It wasn’t out of a lack of interest, per se, so much as a difference in personal priorities. Jobs, her ego, and her possessions all came first, with just a dash of envious pining to start the whole cycle over again.
And anyway, usually she didn’t need to date, but lately she wasn’t sure where her on-and-off paramour was. Between the missing mate and having no jobs in the pipeline (which, as an aside, set off a whole slew of anxieties she would rather not dwell on), Amadeus found herself for the first time in a long time with far too much time on her hands and nothing to spend it on.
This was the only reason she bothered with such trivialities as Nightbook. Normally she used the site to stalk clients, friends, enemies, and targets. But the advertisement for a group date seemed to be some kind of Divine Intervention, given her sudden revelation of how boring her life was at the moment. The sign-up form was quick and easy, and Amadeus nearly forgot she'd signed up for the event at all until the day arrived.
That was why she showed up just on time. Not that she would ever show up early, but she had planned to arrive twenty minutes late, in fact. Showing up early to a party never ended well – it often trapped one in the uncomfortable ice breaking routine before the event got truly under way. But since she’d forgotten about the event entirely, she’d also forgotten that it started an hour later than she thought.
“At least I’m not early,” The bakeneko huffed, arriving and looking around for the blind date she’d been matched with. Her eyes caught the sharp stock of orange hair, and Amadeus slowed, taking in the goblin with a small smirk. She was just on time, which meant the poor thing’d come early.
And they already looked so nervous.
Amadeus crossed through the crowd to her date, crossing her arms with a grin and tilting her head.
“Hi.” She greeted, biting the inside of her cheek and eying the goblin more closely now that she wasn’t standing across the room. “I’m Amadeus. Please don’t call me Amy.” She held out a hand, her eyes gleaming just slightly enough to be mischievous. Win or lose, the goblin was cute. At least she’d have a story to share when she went home about the evening.

Mallow was here to talk to other people not just the ones she was comfortable with. She continued to walk up to the Bakeneko, someone looked ready for an adventure and she was sort of interested and seeing where it went. Point tally: 1

Username: SSBrosB Option picked: 1 Response: Benedict sighed, almost dragging his feet as he made it to where his "date" would be. He already wasn't looking forward to this. His employees had set him up for this blind date thing, and he never would have gone, except for the fact that he actually did have time to go considering he had some time off of work. Time that he would have spent on resting or just trying to relax instead of having to entertain someone else today.
But noooooooooo. His employees just figured that he just had to go out on a date and they had set him up for this thing. He was going to make sure that he got out of here as soon as possible. When he finally got there in jeans and a button-down shirt, he looked to see where his date was, and realized that it was the neko with a collar on. He sighed. He didn't really care that the neko was a mutant, he could see that when their eyes seemed to catch each other, but he did see a collar on them, and wondered if it was just a fashion accessory or if it was something more... personal that Benedict really did not want to know about.
Whatever. He walked up to the Bakeneko, nodded his head and said, "Hey, sorry about the wait." He wouldn't apologize for being late considering that he wasn't. Point tally: 1 (total)

Username: Orangeish Sherbert Option picked: 2 Response: Alexi hesitated and was honestly moved by the large number of other mutants that were around. He glanced at them and managed what almost passed for a smile before drawing in a breath and making his way to the other fallen. Or...fallen hybrid. He couldn't help it. And the fact that they had small wings too...
"Hello there..." He said, rather timidly, extending out a hand. "I'm Alexi. And um." He could never hid his long, overgrown ears, but his wings had always been a different story, tucked up under jackets and lumpy sweaters...but now he removed his jacket and let his undersized wings spread out to their fullest extent.
"I think...we may have a lot in common..." Point tally:

"Why don't we ditch the date plans and get a big burrito at Shipotle. To share." No gal or guy could resist the lure of that offer, surely. Fritz would sell his own mother for a few weeks worth of Shipotle. Time to reel this feline cutie in. Point tally:

As soon as she saw the four nightmares and daydreams gathered at the bottom of the stairs by the piano, Irene felt her heart squeeze. Breaking into a jog, she hurried towards them, begging apologies from the passersby she bumped into along the way.
"Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming thro—oh! Didn't see you there! Thanks!" Flustered and discombobulated, she arrived at the group short of breath. Glancing down at the watch on her wrist, she saw saw the time. Not late, but not early either. Had anyone noticed how she had pushed through the crowd?
She took a breath and straightened, as though to smooth out any wrinkles from her entrance."Hi, I'm Irene. It's so nice to meet you all. I hope you weren't kept waiting long." She flashed a nervous smile between the four of them, batting her one eye furiously.

Username: Lural Option picked: 5 Response: Eir blinked in surprise, though with her one eye, one could mistake it for her winking. Everyone arrived either early, or at the same time? What mystery! The spirits... er, maybe Enyo? Someone or something seemed to think it was hilarious for everyone to show up together. Eir was fine with that of course.
"Haaaaa! This looks like it's going to be fun!" she grinned broadly. The spirited red grimm was absolutely not dressed for a 'date.' but looks more like she was going to war, or... surviving in the wilderness. Something. But she was comfortable.
Eir wanted to introduce herself to everyone, so she did. "I'm Eir!" She practically shouted, raising her arms. "This is gonna be GREAT! We're gonna have a fantastic time, right?" She threw her arms over the closest people to her, a goblin and a neko. "Don't look so reserved. We're gonna have fun." she grinned to the goblin, then flashed a mischievous smile at the Neko. "Totally love the outfit. Ready to party?" Her eye then locked onto the cherub hybrid. Aw, they were super cute! And the slaugh? They looked delicious! "Hey hey! Why don't we get a pic together? Start this shindig off with a great memory?"

And our results are.....
The bakeneko perks up when you approach them. Seems like they’ve been here an hour early! Add +1 to your bakeneko score! They might have been tired of waiting, but they’re just glad that you got there!
The fallen hybrid looks you up and down. They look satisfied with your appearance. Add +1 to your fallen hybrid score!
The goblins hands nervously wring together as they smile hesitantly at you. Add +1 to your goblin score!
As soon as you approach the slaugh; their arm mouths whip themselves out in greeting. Add +1 to your slaugh score!
You find that talking to everyone at once doesn’t seem to really…go well. Everyone talks over each other. It’s kind of a mess. Add no points. :c
To those who didn’t get a response in the time frame, don’t worry! We still have plenty of more rounds where you can catch up!
I added another prompt because I realized I was missing something in the story line! So this game will be six rounds, not including any tie breakers!
Prompt two: Talking was great and all, but there was only so many topics you all could talk about as you stand awkwardly at the mall’s entrance. The four seem to be at a loss about what to do as well. After some brainstorming five activities are brewed up, one from each of you and place them up for a vote. What does your nightmare vote for? (Yes Fritz, you actually have to spend money).
Please use the same form that you used from prompt one!
Going to the escape room! What better way to get your brain juices flowing. There’s a new mini-golf place attached to the mall, not too far away. Let’s check that out! The movies were always a good way to spend time with each other. No awkward silences, plenty of overpriced treats to eat…Everyone loves a good movie, right? You are feeling famished. Going to a restaurant not only would get some grub in your tum, but you could also learn about these new friends. There’s a paint night at a nearby winery! Time to hop into a carriage and head on over for a relaxing night and fond memories.
Edit: The results and the new round will be posted on 7/20 at 10:30 PM PST!

Username: MidnightSpirit Option picked: 5 Response: Tri shifted his wings nervously but once introductions were said and done he was proud that he had avoided staring at their mutations and kept his good manners. If he was expecting the worse as many other have said about mutants he was not seeing it here or now, instead they were acting similar to any other nightmare wishing to find someone to partner with for the rest of their life.
That thought put things into perspective, making him nervous again but it would be rude now to back off as he contemplated the reason they were here and how important it could be to find the right person/s.
After hearing ideas and adding his own, he considered the best one. He would wish to see them at their best and at their worst...so a fun activity that allowed a bit of talkings and maybe a bit of wine could loosen the tongue and make them all feel at ease. For once, it wasn’t even about extracting information of the security kind as he normally would be doing.
Shoving way the doubts that plagued him he looked up and tried to smile faintly but it still faded to a serious and contemplative expression as he cast his vote for painting and wine, wondering if the mutants that caught his eye would have chosen the same of differently.

Quietly, Alexi bit his lip, trying to decide what to say, how to figure out what to do next. That was always the worst thing. Saying hello was easy but--
