“I suppose that could be considered the silver lining.” The only thing they would really need to be careful about were the specifics. They met as powered and therefore, by default, knew each other had a civilian life. It was a dangerous line to trod upon and yet… for some reason Sidouer felt as if she could, in some small capacity, trust the Lieutenant. Or perhaps it was just that she needed someone to trust in light of the abandonment she had gone though.
For a moment it seemed as if the senshi was contemplating leaving with how uncomfortable her body language appeared. And yet, with a deep sigh she hugged the quit to her chest, closed her eyes and buried her face in the soft fabric. It had a refreshingly clean scent as if it had been just been pulled out of a dryer.
After what felt like several minutes of silence, Sidouer finally lifted her head and looked over at him. “I know what it’s like to worry about a sibling. I have an older brother who had been sent overseas to fight in the military shortly after I awakened…” It was an olive branch that she offered to him as thanks for the gift he had given her, a small glimpse of something they had in common. “Early on he found out about my double life. But there is still so much I choose not to tell him if only to keep him safe since he isn’t involved in any capacity” Neither a Senshi nor Knight, just a civilian acutely aware of the true demons that lurk the city.
