Duncan nodded.
"Yeah, my fingers tend to drive the highschoolers away when I show them after they've been hitting on me. They're good for something at least, even if it's a bit painful." He loved to scare people sometimes with his fingers. It was weird when the rest of his body pruned and they didn't though. As though they could no longer soak up water.
"I'd go with strawberries myself, but either way it sounds good." He wondered for a moment if the cold dessert stand was open yet. It probably wasn't, but if it was he would have suggested that they go there and grab something.
"It's... good to enjoy moments like this. Before it gets too crowded." Sometimes he was annoyed when so many people came to the beach. He often wanted to yell at them that they were being destructive and didn't appreciate the lake, but his job was to make sure nobody drowned. And he couldn't be doing that and yelling at people at the same time. Besides, he would be fired.
He then stood off the bench and slowly stretched his arms a little. He then turned around to look at her.
"I've enjoyed our conversation Myth. I would like to go and take a walk around the lake. You don't have to join me. But it was good talking to you if you don't. I'll make sure to contact you about the scrapbooking." He said, giving her a small smile. As much as he wanted to continue their conversation, he did also want to explore for a little bit. And he would still do it whether she joined him or not, but he was glad to have talked to her, at least so that he could enjoy the morning with someone else in a non-romantic way. He wasn't the best at ending conversations, so he hoped that this way was okay, or that she didn't think that he was pushing her away.
