__ The mission began in earnest with Lahlil's puddle telepathy or whatever. She had a lot of weird techniques in her arsenal that seemed potent like the shadow jutsu. He was further confused by the large blond man using his finger to splash the water around. It seemed unusual to him and his hunched movements were equally so. Shouri turned to Lahlil while pointing to Karuto as he spoke to him. "Is that guy really there?" Shouri knew that he was prone to psychotic hallucinations and his question was genuine. Lahlil was the only one who would understand his mental situation enough to understand why he was asking this. He then watched Coda leave with a bat summon to scout the situation. Hilariously enough, that seemed more real to him because Lahlil and her were talking prior. Shouri was also disappointed that Byakko denied his request to ride the tiger. Now he would just wait until he could become useful.

tab Staring at the water intently Lahlil found largely nothing in her search of the forest besides normal wildlife which, was depressing to say the least. There was some small fantasy in her mind where she would lead the group to right to the enemies and impress them with her cleverness, but it looks like that fantasy was dust in the wind. Feeling a tap on her shoulder Lahlil looked back absentmindedly only to become confused when she only found empty space. At first she thought it might be Shouri but when a daggered glance didn't end in him bursting into laughter Lahlil slowly turned back around and nearly jumped out of her skin.
"Oh marbles! You dirty rotten lemon! You scared me half to death!” Wrinkling her nose in a mock anger she swatted at Karuto as he disturbed the her diving waters, only playfully of course considering there was no way her weak strikes could really hurt him. “Try and scare me again and I just might have to show you some real taijutsu.” Her feisty retort was backed up with a smile and few more fake punches as she tried to imitate a weird mix of stances and poorly formed punches from real fighters she had seen over the years. “You know speaking of that Shouri, I’m not really sure myself. I’ve never had an illusion last this long but you can never been too sure.” Even Coda herself seemed to join in on the fun when she threatened to go off on him. Lahlil couldn’t help but smile. Not just at their group but at the way the young girl went so smoothly along with Esmeralda. It’s like my own little cult is growing! I should look for more willing to take up the contract.
Figuring she would find nothing else Lahlil dismissed her waters in favour of making several more clones of herself. Each of them going off in a random direction to scout along the jungle floor in hopes or running into another human soul. They didn’t have much chakra but hopefully whoever they were meant to be fighting would mistake them for a normal citizen then and give away their location. It wasn’t likely that someone who claimed to be a goddess would lie to her especially after sending her priest with them, so they had to mean that whoever they were was smart enough to hide themselves from whoever was looking. This was going to get difficult. “I don’t suppose that your goddess blessed you with the means to hunt down those people did she?” She turned asking Byakko. It might have been unlikely but Lahlil was a firm believer that the strongest were always though who worked in a team rather than trying to focus on being good at everything.

Byakko was stunned at the gigantic muscleman which sauntered over to them. He was not used to humans being such a ridiculous size. In his confusion and admiration, the tiger was taunted by the bat who dared to yawn at him. This of course meant war. Storm chakra was molded by the tiger's mouth when Byakko shouted at him. "Hey! Not now." He sneered as the tiger broke the jutsu and roared at him. The tiger then bolted into the woods in a fit of rage. The man sighed at the actions of his animal. He pulled himself back into his friendly facade when Lalhil asked if he had any unique tracking abilities. "Well the tiger does have enhanced smell, but I doubt he's going to be much help at the moment." He said with a smirk. He did his best to laugh off his animal's antics, but in truth they frustrated him. Why was he so keen on being a monster that he would alienate those who could be potential allies? Was being a god that important to him?

She was always good-natured; that's what he liked best about her. She would be a good Kage. Someone who knew when to lead and when not to. Yeah, this was gonna be a good fit for her. When Lahlil launched her 'attack' at Karuto he let her punch connect with his chest. Her tiny hand bounced off of his pectoral like a penny thrown against a brick wall. With a deadpan expression Karuto looked down at where the blow hit, then up at Lahlil then back to his chest and then AGAIN back to her. After a few seconds of utter silence, Karuto crumpled to the ground as dramatically as possible "Oh noooo! I, the great Taijutsu master of...wait what village are we now? Whatever, OH NO! I've been defeated! The light.." Karuto raised his hands up as if reaching to an imaginary person extending their hand from on high "I can see the light. This...this is the end. Tell my wife I love her. Bleh" Karuto tilted his head to the side and stuck his tongue out, poorly feigning a fool's death mask.
After a dozen or so seconds of this Karuto could sit up, chuckling at his own ability to amuse himself. Still seated in the dirt he would clap his hands and rub them together, a look of enthusiastic playfulness on display by the grin he wore "But really though who do I gotta beat up today?" He said to Lahlil before turning to Byakko and pointing to the tiger "I thought Tigers were supposed to be...I dunno...bigger? There's no WAY I could ride that. 3/10 stars my man"
Esmeralde screeched again. This time, the bat found something. Or, more specifically, someone. There, waiting in the shadows. Coda liked a fight as much as the next person, maybe more, but she had one within her limited range. She could only guess at what awaited beyond that. She could be catching a scout for a larger force, or just a lone curious soul. For now she simply sounded her warning, a loud crack echoing over the treetops, and pulled into a tighter circle. Perhaps not the most subtle maneuver, but there wasn't much value in being subtle at the moment. If she scared of a scout, she might find something to follow. Scare off a nobody and she might avoid a fight altogether. It wouldn't be a particularly exciting conclusion, but the genin had to admit she'd find it rather satisfactory for the weird guy with the tiger's prediction to fall apart. Big wings splayed out beside her as Esmeralde banked, cautious of the figure below in the trees, chirping every once in a while to maintain her awareness.
As they were, those hiding in this area of the lush forest, remained as much out of sight and mind of those wandering around it. There was concern from the overseers of their operations about the group of shinobi lingering in this area more than necessary. The had reason to believe that the ninja were here for a reason, and anxiety would lead them to believe that that reason was none other than themselves. The scouts and guards already minding the situation on the front lines received their orders accordingly, now focusing their attention on the large bat creature being used to scout the canopies. "Take the shot. Squads Twenty-Six and Eighty-One, prepare to engage." The static-muffled order came across the comms as a foreign device, nothing short of a technological marvel that wouldn't have been seen in a little over a decade, was raised so that Coda and Esmeralda fell into its cross hairs. Just as they finished another tight turn in their aerial maneuvers a kunai-thin stream of energy flashed along an intercepting trajectory. The attack launched at speeds that only the highest levels of ninjutsu could rival. A direct hit was sure to end the summon's presence after it had started warning the others of a verified threat, and the girl riding it would likely not avoid harm without a lot of luck or surprising skill. Lucky for the others, this terrifying weapon would take quite a while to recharge and the unknown enemy had no others of its equal for destructive potential in their arsenal.
Others would hear their own orders as the enemy scout was hopefully disposed of. "Twenty-six, Eighty-one. Engage and dispose of the targets." Their cover was effectively blown, so all that was left was to deal with the problem as quickly and quietly as they could hope to. Two of the present shinobi were known potential threats in their records, so the deployed squads were chosen to fulfill particular roles in this fight. Abysmal blackness would consume the group as a mass-genjutsu shrouded the Uzushio refugees from their visual awareness of their surroundings while also drastically muffling sounds in the area. Even a high-pitched scream would be heard as little more than a tired whisper in this blatantly distracting A-rank genjutsu. Just as the illusion would take effect, a large man rivaling Karuto in size would descend upon and land directly in the midst of the group. The impact with the ground would unleash a powerful force which would scatter the lot of them as helpless rag dolls unless they managed to effectively brace themselves or at least recover midair as they were sent flying. The B-rank, complex taijutsu attack was as brutish as the one who enacted it. This large man was clad in strange attire accented with vein-like conduits that were regulating chakra flow. He stood upright again after landing and stretched a little by rolling his shoulders and neck in anticipation for escalating levels of violence. By his expression, one could tell that he was looking forward to it, but even that was hard to be certain of with the breathing mask over his face. He was clearly most interested in the taijutsu master but was being wary of the other potential threats all the same. In the meantime, his fist became engulfed in chakra before he threw a punch in Lahlil's direction and released that A-rank shellf energy at her. If unavoided or unguarded, she would be sent through a nearby tree by the violent concussive damage it threatened.
Two other cloaked figures would come out from the tree line from opposite sides of the area as the ninja were busy dealing with the brute's impactful blow. One carried a large scoped device similar to the one used on Coda and Esmeralda but much stubbier. This one took aim for Shouri and loosed three flashes of light from the barrel, each of C-rank potency, to strike the young Uchiha in the chest, abdomen and right thigh. The weapon whirred between each shot and hissed after the deed was done. The other wielded a single-hand sized device with a simple L-shape design in their right while their left hand hovered at the handle of the sword-like device on their back. She promptly squeezed the trigger of his device, loosing a single shot of energy of B-rank power at the now tigerless man's chest and carefully approached from there. These two also wore strange armor, but theirs was much less bulky than the brute's. The one with the two-handed energy launcher wore a sort of cowl and wore a device over their left eye, while the other's dark auburn hair poked up atop their head from the visor worn across their eyes and around the back of their head like a band. It wouldn't take long for Byakko to hear the ruckus back with the group he'd just left. The real question was: would the proud beast return in time, if at all, to aid his comrades?

__ Shouri's active Sakkakusharingan revealed a large number of unfamiliar life forces in the area which caused him to stiffen and ignore Karuto's humorous shenanigans. It turned out that Karuto was actually real and Shouri was not just out of his mind again thankfully. When Coda flew off on her bat a deadly laser would be launched in her direction before long. A spike of shock went up his spine as his vision was shrouded in darkness. He immediately formed a hand seal and released himself as he knew that this was similar to the darkness illusion that he learned to use. Once that was dealt with, a man appeared, shook the ground, and fired a blast of chakra from his fist. It was aimed for Lahlil so Shouri immediately jumped high off the ground before the tremor, extended his right arm, and put his thumb and middle finger together. Snap. Three huge black fireballs were molded and fired from his hand and collided with the chakra blast sent by the brutish man. This resulted in the cancellation of both the black fire lily and the chakra fist but would defend Lahlil from any possible impact. "Look alive, everyone!" Shouri yelled out of concern for Lahlil and the others as more men appeared from the treeline. Once he landed on the now stabilized ground he put his fingers together once again. Snap. Snap. Snap. Shouri clicked the fingers of his black-gloved hand thrice more in quick succession as a small but tall fire mote appeared around him and disintegrated the three small balls of light on contact. The young Uchiha's years of training were serving him well in defending himself although he dreaded the possibility of actual violence. All of the enemies who would gaze into the bright ebony flames that were shielding Shouri would falsely see him expand the fire ring outwards to consume them, their allies, and surrounding trees. They would also feel the intense heat and second-degree burns forming on their skin. Shouri's hope was that several if not all of the agents of this ambush would collapse and be neutralized. The agents would not hear the flame's crackle as it would expand outwards as a tell of Shouri's illusion. He did not need them to feel agonizing pain for too long and simply wanted them to stop attacking him and his friends so they could escape or someone else with a stomach for violence could kill them. He left that obvious tell for them to notice and escape the torturous illusion before long but it would certainly devastate them in the immediate future. In reality, the black flame ring would continue to protect Shouri's body from all sides unmoved. He felt panic start to settle in as the adrenaline rush started to end but was prepared to defend himself and his friends if need be.

tab From the shadows came the illuminated life forces of others entering the area. Their presences didn't go unnoticed by Lahlil but it was the fact that they neglected to make their introduction was what tipped Lahlil off that they were enemies. By the time the cloud of darkness was moving over the group, her feet had already propelled her backwards which consequently allowed her to dodge the earth splintering under heel of the armored giant. From such his momentum Lahlil expected an attack sure to follow swiftly and thus formed her own in retaliation, the valiant efforts of Shouri going unnoticed for the time being, and instinctively launching a wave of slicing air in the direction of the man’s life-force. However, once the air left her lips Lahlil noticed that she was unable to hear the usually gust of wind the accompanied her abilities, In fact now that she paid attention she couldn’t hear anything at all. huh..? Watching the blade of wind travel into the darkness it was the inky clouds refusal to scatter that solidified her suspicions in her mind. This was a gen. One she knew well in fact. It’s inability to move or even slightly shift apart as all gases do made it clear.
Here she now had a choice. Clear the gen for herself and attack the target or assist her allies? In the moment of battle-fuled adrenaline time felt like it was slowed down for her and she could see the lines her future self could take. She had her eyes, didn’t she? That meant that dispelling the fog for the others would be best in case they needed to defend themselves. Yet the temptation remained that if she saved herself, then she might be able to end the fight before it starts. What would Chie do? To be honest Lahlil hadn’t spent much time with her kage in person, something she knew she would regret, but as far as the version of her that lived in her heart? She knew exactly what that version would do. Still falling back through the air Lahlil focused her vision on Karuto’s massive frame, easily picked out even from a distance, and released him from any obstruction on his mind. She didn’t have the power to free everyone at once but Lahlil knew Karuto’s strength well enough that he could hold off the other giant off until she could. In the moment this was the last action she could preform before her feet hit the ground fully and her entire body submerged into the stone. I hoe Shouri is okay.. I shouldn’t have taken him where his mental state could be tested dang it! Her last thought before vanishing from sight.

Byakko’s oracle abilities allowed him to gently leap away from the oncoming man. His hands remained in his pockets as he waited to scan out the targets in the area. After all, there was no sense in fighting if there was no clear target. However, his senses of sight and hearing were robbed from him by the eternal blackness which overtook him. To other people, this would be a serious challenge. Thankfully, he was not any ole job. He was still an ancient tiger god, which meant his sense of smell was just as enhanced as that of his tiger. On that topic, without sight or hearing Byakko charged his body with the Kaiser armor as the tiger leaped out of his hiding and pounce on the man who readied the shot against Coda. He did not stop the shot made, but the residue from the fired weapon was more than enough of a scent to find the hidden man. Combined with his oracle sense the tiger did not need the basic sense to find the man. Meanwhile, the man used his own scent to pick out his ally Lalhil. The man moved over to her as his oracle abilities to notice that she, despite being caught in the genjutsu, used her ability to dispel genjutsu inflicted on her ally. ‘A true leader.’ He thought as his two hands formed the tiger seal. A burst of chakra relinquished the genjutsu which afflicted Lalhil. While it made sense to help the leader, he truthfully did it because he was in awe at her devotion to her people.

The second the brute landed on the ground, playtime was over. From the impact he could tell whatever had landed nearby was large, and generally the direction it came from. Karuto flipped onto his feet with a graceful ease that seemingly did little to betray his size. As the darkness enveloped him and sounded seem to fall flat in the air, Karuto took a deep breath. This was manageable. He could still fight. Whatever had just landed near them attacked up close. He couldn't see it coming and couldn't hear it coming...so what? He would just have to counter-attack. Yes...he could still fight. Thankfully, thoughtfully planned out, the Raiken's battle strategy was unneeded as unknown to him Lahlil had just released him from the ensnaring technique. As it fell away Karuto looked around, bewildered at the explosion of activity going on. "Lahlil!" He called out, not seeing his Kage.
Eventually his eyes settled on a man- a large man. The behemoth was nearly equal in size to himself and every bit as ripped. Still, there was a fine line between a brawler and a martial artist. His anger at the attack and anxiousness of the mysterious absense of Lahlil was focused towards the man as Karuto bounced on the balls of his feet for a few steps before launching his attack. He moved on his exhale, rapidly repositioning himself behind the goliath and attempting to deliver a vicious right hook to the back of the man's head. If successful it would drive him into the ground amidst a giant crater and undoubtedly stun him.
He would then immediately move into a rather dangerous grapple. Grabbing the man's arm he would bring it up and bend it as Karuto stepped over and settled into the cross body lock. His massive biceps bulged as he put a tremendous amount of torque on the stranger's limb "Who are you?!" He yelled out as he bore down on the would be aggressor

A voice came through their communications channel as the first of few warnings to the developing situation, "Ghost, incoming threat. Poz One one three, neg zero four one." The sniper in the canopy wouldn't so much as flinch after dispatching the flying shinobi and her bat summon. Their short-range sensors focused in the direction given at the approaching tiger and promptly rolled out of the way of the pouncing attack in the nick of time. She purposefully threw herself out of the tree and used a grappling launcher device to swiftly swing through the forest to get downwind of the beast. Chakra was drained from the battery on her suit to not only physically cloak herself but also to become hidden from chakra sensory effects of A-rank and lower. She knew she could fight at close range, but it was better to just reposition and hide until the opportunity to attack again was available.
The hulking assailant was impressed with the accuracy of Lalil's fuuton jutsu intercepting his projectile attack. In particular, he hated having to hide and sneak around all the time. They'd lost the war, sure, but that didn't mean they had to stop fighting entirely. Even so, he was a good soldier who followed orders and a great warrior. This was his rare chance to let loose, and so he would. Gladly, his attention shifted to Lahlil's vanguard who had been freed from the highly distracting genjutsu to launch a counterstrike. He moved around to Brute's rear to attempt a heavy-handed sucker punch but his movements were rather easily followed. With his attention now away from the rest of the enemy group, he'd avoid being caught in Shouri's illusion cast from the viewing of his katon jutsu, unlike the other two. Brute caught Karuto's fist in his own large hand, a faint stinging sensation echoing almost halfway up his forearm as he grinned from behind his mask. While they stood there clashed for a moment he would answer Karuto's question very simply, "Your demise." The chakra conduits on his arm lit up and he would use his chakra-enhanced strength to throw the taijutsu master back away. He didn't need fancy ninja techniques to fight ninja. His raw strength and ability combined with his gear was enough. The war had proven that quite clearly with his current kill count. The simple shove was merely a means to antagonize his foe. Brute clapped his hands out ahead of himself while Karuto would be recovering from throw, threatening him with a powerful sonic boom which would crash its concussive forces into his body and send him through the trees waiting behind. The ground and air itself quivered under the force of this clap.
The hand cannon wielding woman would frown when her shot was completely nulled against the chakra armor on the man she fired upon. She didn't stop advancing on him, even as he turned his attention elsewhere to provide support. She adjusted the settings on her weapon with a dial on the side and took aim again. However, the fiery flash from the boy's katon jutsu caught her attention before she could loose a more powered shot. "Kgh..." She flinched as a fiery wall expanded haphazardly over the battlefield, engulfing her, her comrades and also enemies in the flames. She knew their suits were very well insulated to deal with katon and raiton jutsu, but the pain of this heat soaked right through. The other chakra cannon wielding man was also caught in Shouri's illusion before he launched another attack. "Activating Gamma Protocol for Vane and Edge." The guiding voice on their comms gave notice before remotely triggering their suits' function to expunge the foreign chakra and relieve them of the illusions. However, it would take a short amount of time to be able to do so again. Vane pointed her ranged weapon in Byakko's direction and fired another shot just like the last, but far more dense in chakra. It wasn't strong enough to hurt him past his armor, but it would certainly strip that armor from him. She would vanish from sight momentarily after this shot impacted his Kaiser Armor, leaving him to still recover from the strong concussive impact, only to reappear before him as she pulled her sword-shaped weapon from her back to strike him right along the side of his torso between his ribs and hip. The blunt edge of the weapon would offer little threat, especially compared to the anti-chakra mechanism that made it glow a soft blue color. Edge's rifle-like chakra projector whirred as its barrel was lined up with Shouri once again. It let out a loud mechanical groan which turned to a hum as he held down the trigger, releasing a focused stream of chakra at him. This would bore a hole into defenses of equal or lower rank and gradually do the same to his body if not avoided. His one-eyed scanner was nearly finished analyzing the boy to fully determine threat levels.

__ Tears rolled down Shouri's face as images slammed into his fragile psyche. He knew that he was drastically hurting them with his genjutsu until they were able to release themselves. When Edge fired at Shouri's still burning incineration technique it destroyed the black flame ring that shielded him. Immediately, Shouri went into action knowing that they were not going to stop trying to kill him and his friends. He raised his right hand as a great ball of black fire was sent toward Edge. If he looked at the black flame then he would perceive it leaving the trajectory toward him and spreading over the entire forest. The black flame then released smoke that blackened the sky. In this realm, a pinkish crimson moon appeared in the sky and released a red light that emitted more heat to cook Edge in his armor. The eye moon was Shouri's Sakkakusharingan which became more apparent as his eyes glowed in the darkness. In reality, the black fireball was continuing its trajectory towards the UHV agent. "I'm sorry." As much as he hated it, he needed to deceive and fight back to protect himself and his friends. The false world of black flame darkness had its tells included by Shouri as his honor demanded that Edge at least have a chance of detecting it and avoiding the flames encroaching on his position.

tab Darkness scattered from her sight in an instant to leave Lahlil with a clear view of the situation before her. Unaware of Byakko's use of the release technique, she briefly considered if this wasn't some sort of trick but ultimately disregarded that idea as foolish. Dispelling your own genjutsu gave away that you have someone capable of using genjutsu in the first place. Still, being free had not made her life any easier. Attacks came in from every direction as this unknown group made their move on them. Metal armor? Voices coming out of nowhere? Just who are these people? A deep seeded worry, born out of a desire to protect everyone drove Lahlil to act. Drawing blood from the edges of her finger tips did she summon what would look like to her as a moth woman, to other however, her looks would vary based on the henge she kept on herself at all times. It's flawless nature not only preventing the use of sensory techniques to see through it but also showed her to be whatever the term 'most beautiful woman' meant to that specific individual.
Hands fluffing out the back of her hair the moth woman Celeste struck a yawning pose meant to be more erotic than anything else. She winked at Lahlil, having already an idea of her plans without the need to exchange words. So deep was their bond. Parting her lips in a such a seductive tone, did Celeste weave together a song meant ease the aggression of all the enemies before her. The power of which was only enhanced further by Lahlil, who was able to stretch it's chords to reach nearly every inch of the forest. If the would the mercenary group hear even a single word they would find themselves unable to take any action other than adore Celeste, even going so far as to step closer to her. Lahlil had hoped that their metal suits wouldn't prevent them from falling victim to her ploy. If she was successful Lahlil's shadow would also spread in every direction to consume the entire area. No attack would yet be made until all targets were in a position to where she could grab all at once while they were still helpless.
_ Summon Celeste ____✦ A ranked Bat summon. Used Ability: Siren Celeste is capable of turning into a human woman that is found to be one of the most beautiful woman people have seen. The henge is considered perfect as no dojutsu can see through it. As the woman she will sing a song akin to that of a siren. It lures opponents to her to get them as close as possible, out of hiding, and makes them enchanted by her voice. This is effectively a A rank enchantement genjutsu that makes the opponent docile and not wish to attack. The genjutsu is not effected by the opponents Sexuality. It is immediately broken if the opponent is attacked or Kai’s themselves out of it. However, it is not broken by draining effects in the bat summons. Can only be used once per battle

When his punch was blocked Karuto looked up in surprise. Few were able to do that, and fewer would still have a functional arm afterwords. He was tossed liek a rag doll through a couple of trees, leaving him dazed and confused. He had barely enough time to throw up a hasty block before the shockwave came, nearly doubling him over by the force of the impact. The blow left the taste of blood in Karuto's mouth and covered him in tiny scratches as wooden shrapnel exploded outwards. Slowly, Karuto stood, wiping the blood from his lips. "Heh, good hit" He mused as he twisted his neck to the side, releasing a loud 'crack' as it popped. Karuto meanwhile rotated his shoulders, brought his hands up in an easy to recognize boxing stance, and began bouncing back and forth on the balls of his feet "Alright alright alright, seems I may get to have some fun today after all. Let's do this thing, fugly" As he landed on the ground in one of his bounces Karuto seemed to vanish, reappearing in mid-air before the brute. He was already mid way through bringing a powerful whirlwind kick to the man's torso. Karuto extended his hands town, planting his palms on the ground and following the attack up with an upwards kick which would hit the man square in the chin if not dodged. Hopefully, if the brute ducked the first kick he would be hit squarely with the second. Still, despite the man's strength Karuto still wasn't going all out. He wanted to see what this guy could do!

The tiger roared ferociously as his paws just missed the sniper. His claws sunk into the position to hold him in place while a burst of chakra snapped him out of the illusion. His animal eyes scanned the area as he realized that his human companion was about to get sniped by another round of ammunition. Disgusted that his human needed saving, the tiger roared as storm chakra rose in an arc like shield around his human. The shield of storm chakra protected Kazuto as the sudden appearance of his own chakra made him turn instinctively toward the shot. "Thanks Cat." He said with a smirk. It was then that a massive influx of chakra appeared through a body flicker. Byakko readied himself as the anti-chakra weapon was swung at him. He stepped into the strike and raised his arm so that the back of his arm intercepted the weapon at the hilt; the armor helping him null the impact of the force. Then, his right hand leaned toward the general position of the person's face as the kunai launcher mechanism became apparent in sight. The motion used put the launcher into shotgun mode as it fired a fierce cloud of sharpnel in the general direction of the target's head. Even if he missed it wasn't any real concern. He felt as though the strike itself would be enough to scare the agent from getting within close quarters.
