Was it the same cat? The question was left unvoiced - now really not the time - although she made a mental note to voice the question during the later debrief–
Her gaze turned to the footprints that the other was pointing out because they really did seem suspicious and the cat sighting and strange footprints painted a picture that suggested senshi.
Suggested senshi, but was still not a concrete as to where.
It seemed that both Damien and Emilia had picked up on more potential leads and Ashley had no intention of slacking either, as she decided to run with the footprints aspect and check the closest partial but mostly completed building to them–
There was a room in it that she was sure that the others would find of interest, ad grey eyes took in the chairs and the ropes and the way that one of said chairs seemed to have been smashed.
A Captive? A struggle?
The ropes and broken chair could potentially suggest both and Ashley made a mental note to exercise caution as she moved to check the surrounding area, planning to look around for completeness sake, but stay close enough so that she could assist Damien or Emilia should either of them need her.

The target was definitely acting suspicious. Emmy was aware that she was also acting suspicious, and also that if this ended up being some kind of trap, she was only a lieutenant, and one separated from the rest of her group. She needed to buy time, somehow. "Sorry," she said, still sounding a little desperate and letting her accent bleed through. "We just got all turned around and now I can't find my friends at all. Are you sure you haven't seen anyone?" She did follow him, which did have its risks, but she was also very tired of having senshi slip through her fingers. Hopefully the others would be able to catch up, soon.

Damien would find that the person he'd approached had short, feathered hair that was a mix of blues, purples, and black. Her eyes were a bright green and she cocked her head at him when he spoke. Slowly her mouth spread until it was a sharp, cat-like grin.
"Depends on what you call living," she purred, laughter following when she settled hands on her hips. "And what you mean by around here because that's a veeeeery vague question."
Red looked more and more annoyed with how pushy the girl in glasses was being. His lips tugged downward further as if it were possible to scowl more than he already was.
"There's people everywhere, why don't you, dunno look around or something."

Damien's brows raised. An interesting look, for sure. Reminded him of a raver, maybe. He had to wonder, albeit briefly, if she was wearing coloured contacts. Would certainly suit the look... "I mean in this area," replied Damien, smirking a bit in turn. She might respond better to a bit of banter than direct questioning, perhaps. "Near these developments. Where all these new squatters seem to be?"

Emmy did wonder what her actual teammates were up to as the redhead stayed suspiciously grumpy. She hoped that they had found something interesting, too. Otherwise they really needed to hurry up. "Sorry, I'm trying not to get even more lost," she said, a tad of her usual pride sneaking back into her voice. Then, she tried to look hopeful, which wasn't too difficult, given the circumstances. "Does that mean you saw people recently?"

The woman laughed. "No one lives here," she replied, looking like he had told her the funniest joke. "People camp out here but this ain't living."
The mirth slipped from her expression and she was looking at Damien with a new sharpness.
"Why do you care and why is it any of your business if I do?"
"Are you always this ******** nosy?" Red snapped at her. "Do I look like a goddamn tour guide? Maybe if you got out of construction and back on the streets." He rolled his eyes.
"I told you, there are people everywhere. 'Does that mean you saw people recently', dunno did you?"

Honestly, no, living out here probably wasn't really living. Living outside was not a life Damien particularly wished on anyone, including those he despised. (If he despised them, there were better ways to rid the Earth of their presence than letting them get exposed to the elements--) Her expression shifted to something sharper, and Damien tilted his head slightly, still keeping the slightest hint of a smirk on the edges of his lips. She was becoming a bit more hostile, now. That was fine. He would try to continue with her, but if the lead slipped, the lead slipped-- "I'm monitoring the situation out here," offered Damien, genially. "Hoping to help my non-profit figure out where to focus their attention."

"No, I haven't seen anyone recently. That's why I'm worried," she snapped right back. Still, she wasn't stupid. She knew that she was acting suspicious, and that if she really did have lost friends, there was better things to do than grill a stranger about them. Her partners still weren't answering, which had her feeling even more tense. The pros of waiting around for them were fading quickly, and she hoped that they had found something better worth their time. If they'd found trouble, instead, she either needed to help them or to get out. "But fine," she said, and walked back the way she'd came, stopping behind the first corner she came to and listening to see if she could hear which way he went.
