Pale eyes blinked in surprise when she saw the smile cross the usually grumpy looking boy's face. Her cheeks colored for a minute before she tamped down on her sudden oh no moment. Still, the surprise had her smile softening and she slid them closer to him.

"Okay," she said, in a tone that implied you better before she stepped back from the counter, preparing herself to return to making drinks or ringing people up.

"You have a good day Reid and," she paused, considering the thought before she said it anyway, "I'll see you later."

With that, Astrid returned to the rest of her barista duties, certain that Mr. Reid Covey had to head back to work anyway.
