The slap was forceful enough that Minium's head snapped sideways. The connection was loud enough to echo in the bare bones of the room and, more than that, in her ear drums. The pain of the sound was almost worse than the certainty of the whiplash or the stinging, hot snap across her cheek.

She knew it left a mark, she didn't have to see it, and when she glanced up through the locks of her fiery hair she seemed a little sobered.

"The problem with your theory is that you assume I'm more afraid of you than I would be of them." She smirked through the throbbing ache of the welt on her cheek but it lacked her playful humor, that air of nonsense she had been hiding behind. When it came right down to it, it was possibly the most truthful thing she had said so far. "It won't matter if I limp out of here or not - if I tell you what they don't want you to know then they're just as likely to punish me for that when I return."

She sighed and leaned back into the chair, outwardly resigned to her fate even if, inwardly, she was hoping Ceraskia or that stupid lieutenant had actually gone to get help for her.

It seemed like the agent was finally taking them seriously, although even with that Simoom knew that Rose was right - after all it wasn't as if the golden-eyed agent had really given them much of anything so far.

"Okay" she said, her dark eyes still glaring at Mini - or whatever it was that the agent's name really was - and whilst Simoom herself hadn't been nearly as hurt as the other two with her, Remit had injuries that most definitely needed to be looked at.

She looked away from the agent and finally stepped back as her dark eyes glancing towards Rose "Let me know if you need anything from me" because she would come, even if it meant rearranging things in order to continue to keep her mother in the dark she would come–

And then she glanced towards Remit, a silent question in her eyes - because whilst Simoom couldn't make up for what she had done under Ceraskia's magic she could at least fetch the first aid kit - at least she could once they were both out of sight of the agent...

And later on, much later on she could get in touch with Kevin, perhaps maybe even arrange another meet up–

Because whilst it would be sooner than usual, there were things that she should probably catch her friend up on.
