The game failed again and Arthur stared at - what did they want him to do with his legs??
Turning, wiped his brow. "Have you kissed a boy or girl yet? Maybe you like both." He said with a smile. "Which is good. It's great to have both options." He commented. "Not that I'm saying it's a choice what your heart falls to." He shook his controller a little.
"Have you tried finding someone?"

Nix laughed lightly. "Wow, really just diving right into it, huh?" he asked, but answered the question all the same. "Well, a girl kissed me back in Ashville one time," he said, "But I've never really, uh, gone after anyone for a relationship. And..." he paused and shrugged before continuing. "I've been told before that I completely miss signs people are, ya know, into me so..." He gave an exaggerated shrug at that one. "I mean...a... relationship of some kind would be fun, I'll bet, I just, ya know, haven't."

Arthur only smiled back. He wasn't one to just waiting around for the conversation to happen the way he wanted. Humans we're notorious for not bringing up who they were with most times.
"Oh can be lots of fun. But you could also just test the waters and enjoy a few nights here and there with someone. Doesn't have to be a big deal unless you want one, though I have to agree. Dating humans is more difficult than I'd ever have guessed. You have all these rules and steps. It feels like an eternity to get anywhere." While dating was a unique experience, he often had moment in the have of romance to want to some on the gas.
It didn't help he had only a few hours to use his body for anything.
"So any reason why you haven't? Life is short you know and you are risking your life every day. Best to make the most of what you can and sieze any opportunity instead of putting it off till tomorrow."
He worked through a few steps again. At least these weren't as bad as the other moves. "How was the kiss? Did you like it?"[
Just one kiss? How was he not more eager for action?

Arthur's talk made Nix blush quite deeply. It was a little dark up there, but he was still pretty sure the redness of his face was glowing (it wasn't). "I've, uhm," he started. This line of questions was definitely distracting him from playing as well as he might...but that was okay. "I mean, I've thought about, you know, getting with people, but not anyone in particular...and, uh," he hesitated again. "There's also the worry of it not going right and making everything so much more awkward." He smiled sheepishly. He may have been very outgoing, but he was still an awkward teen. "The kiss was nice, I guess, but, uh," he shrugged. "My family moved away." That was that. "I've got a bunch of school friends now, and some, uh," he waved a hand around, "Magical ones, but...just haven't thought about that kind of relationship with any of them. And," he laughed once. "If I wanted to 'enjoy a few nights,' it's not like I can use one of those dating apps or whatever. I'm 16!"

"Ohhh right. You aren't an adult yet. I keep forgetting that about you all. I always assume that if you are old enough to lay your life on the line then you could get together at this age. Honestly it's sometimes hard for me to gauge. Sorry. You're right. You still have a lot of youth to enjoy other things."
He brushed the conversation aside, not wanting Nix to feel like a kitten compared to an old man like him.
"So what else have you been up to?!" He said as a deliberate change of conversation course.

"Society's weird like that," Nix replied with a nod. "I mean, it's not like people my age don't do that stuff, it's just..." he shrugged. "Not talked about, I guess?" All the same, he didn't seem bothered by a conversation shift. "Well, when I'm not out running on rooftops in a bodysuit, I to...uh, also run and walk, especially out in the woods. And I've got a violin that I play sometimes. I've even put it in my senshi pocket and played it in pretty wild places, though I didn't bring it today." The shift of his grin as he said that suggested he rather liked standing precariously on a corner of a building making music.

"That is something I had always been envious of. The ability to play music. They don't make anything for Mauvian bodies to play. Fingers, lips, and long arms. Musical instruments were designed for humans and you all play them so well. I try to even sing and I get screamed at by the neighbors."
He sighed as he tried to stand up on one leg awkwardly to make the next move and nearly falling over. He caught himself and stood straight again.
"Is that why you got into dancing too? Music. Or was it the other way around?"

"Hmm, you might be able to play some kinds of drums as a cat," Nix suggested thoughtfully. "Or, uh...wait, hang on. Do regular people only hear cat noises when you talk?" That was a detail that he probably should have expected... "Anyway, yeah, I guess that'd be a good explanation for the dance," he replied, "I mostly do it for fun, and as something to move around with when the weather's bad."

"Normal people can hear me talk. It's just I can't sing because it would freak people out and I might end up in YouTube. Then the Negaverse would be swarming the area trying to find me. That would out me and Nicodemus at risk. I can't sing when I look this way because I can only be like this for a few hours and I let off a large energy signature. I can't just shift and sing in my living room. I have to be careful if I decide I should shift at all. It makes doing a lot of things very limiting."
"..but I do hum a bit at home. Or when Nicholas needs help sleeping."
He breathed out and stopped dancing as the song failed near the end.
"I often think it would be nicer if I was a senshi instead."

"Oh, yeah, good point," Nix replied with a nod. "Singing cats would confuse some people, that's for sure." He chuckled at the mental image, though. After the most recent game mishap, he said, "Okay, let's take a break for a bit. Give yourself a moment. Have a drink of water." He pulled a water bottle out of nowhere and offered it. "It sounds like you care a lot for Nick," Nix observed. "And, senshi or not, I think you Mauvians are very important to have around." He smiled. "You could think of yourself as... travel sized," he suggested with a big grin.

"Some guardians don't have places to stay. Humans consider us cats and a lot can turn out to become strays. I want Nic to be able to grow up and find a place he can enjoy. Either on his own or with someone. I'd do it for any senshi or guardian who needs a roof and a meal."
He accepted the water and took out a cat mug from his space picket to pour some of it and give the bottle back to Nix.
Arthur stared back at the joke. "I'd rather be hot then travel sized." He said as he took a sip. "You might not be dating but I find it hard to convince others you are on the market when you look like a p***y for most of the day."

Nix looked at the mug for a moment, and suppressed a laugh about it. He took the bottle back and had a drink before putting it back into the air to disappear. "Is Nick a cat?" Nix asked curiously. He wasn't going to pry too much, but...it was always really hard to not ask lots of questions. "I hope there aren't many guardians in the streets...I think all the ones I've met have places to live." Arthur's reaction to his joke caused Nix to choke on his water and laugh. "But lots of people are constantly looking for..." he trailed off, apparently unwilling to say the next word, " that," he concluded instead. "But...I see your point." He blinked twice. "Wait, I thought you mentioned somebody specific. Are you, uh, 'on the market' anyway?"

"Nicodemus is a Mauvian." He corrected. "And some Mauvians go from place to place or sleep in headquarters. It is probably for the best least a family wonder why their vet appointments keep getting rescheduled." He pointed out.
"People are looking for men. A bit harder when you have cat ears and a tail. Makes them wonder. Like you, I can't exactly just go on tinder. I'm an alien." He pointed out. They were all having to make due with their dating limitations.
He stared back, confused. "Why wouldn't I be on the market? I'm not married?"

"Right. Mauvian, sorry," Nix replied, nodding. "I guess the best bet, aside from your headquarters, is to stay with senshis or knights who aren't kids, huh? If I had a cat, it'd be my mom making vet appointments, after all." He had to smirk slightly at the alien comment, but didn't say anything about it. He did need to explain himself with marriage, though, so he dove right in. "Well, uhm, lots of people--not everybody, of course--but, you know, probably most...they don't usually like having, er, more than one, uh," he paused, considering the best way to say it, "Romantic partner? People get jealous and stuff." He nodded. "I...uh, don't think I'd be jealous if, er, I had somebody who liked to...go around, but I dunno."

"Yes and we hear enough horror stories about trying to get neutered that we're learned to doctor vet reports." Arthur said as he slowly sat down to take a break.
"Well I'm not having him WITH anyone else at the same time. Not that we have talked about it. I just didn't think there would be any hard if something came my way or his." Though they never talked about it before. "I mean it's not like I have yet. I suppose I should ask." He said with a stroke of his chin before taking out a notepad and a pen with a fuzzy blue too and wrote a note.
"Is there anything else you think might upset him?" He asked.
