*Kit shook her head at her offer; she had already taken her fill on the meat, for now she wanted to play, before napping. Swatting her fore paws after Colche's tail tip, she let out a soft giggle, before grabbing hold with both paws, clumsily and niggling on it, along with giving it a few playful licks as any cat would, when chewing on something furry.*
Kit'searva - "What does sensible mean? Am I one?"
*Her rounded ears perked up, she was curious as what this word meant, and curious to know if she was sensible. She awaited Colche's answer, while continuously batting and nibbling on the older females tail tip, preventing it from twitching out of her grasp.*

Colche laughed softly, she really was just a little cub "Of course you are dear all girls are" She smiled softly patting at the little cub before physically lifting her and settling her between her front paws "Now then how about I tell you a story befoere you sleep hmm?" She smiled gently, this wasn't a situation for one of the real stories she had heard through her travelles, a bed time story for a youngster, like the ones her moteh used to tell her would be ideal. Her dusty blue eyes sparkled softly as she awaited a reply. She did so enjoy telling a good yarn even if it was a nonescence tale.

*Kit nodded eagerly, she hadn't heard a tall tale for quite some time, but boy did she ever enjoy them. Curling up in Colche's fore paws, she twisted her head around to look up at the older female, eyes wide with delight, tail flopping around in a wag. She was quite happy, meeting someone like Colche, she seemed a lot like her absent mother and now she was getting the pleasure of a bed time story.*
Kit'searva - "What's it about?"
*She said, speaking in an eager tone, while a soft purr rumbled lightly in her throat. Not even waiting like most were supposed to, she was just far too impatient for waiting.*

The slender femme chuckled softly "well I'll tell it and you can see" she smiles sweetly her long tail flickering back and forth as she rooted through her memory for one of her own sleepy time stoories, not one of the histroic cheetah events, they could after all be rather dry and dull for a kitten. Smiling sweetly she finally spoke. Pausing for only a moment longer she started to speak blue eyes fixed upon the little femme nested on her toes.
"Once upon a time, when the sun was new to this world and it peered over the serengetty in a rather, shy manner, it was very young then you see and didn't like to be seen too often. The days were short and the nights were long and very cold because the sun was far too frightened to come out and play for very long."
She smiled only pausing in the story for a second.
"At that time cheetahs were very few and even slimmer than we are now for they could not hunt in the colsd darkness, they found it so difficult to hunt and travel at night their sight so hindered by the pitch blackness. So one day a young cheetah took it upon himself to travel to the sun and beg it to appear more often. Now in those days cheetahs didn't have spots or whorles or any markings at all they were all the same colour. Trees were rather stunted back then because there was no light, and the grass wasn't nearlly as long as it is now, if anything it hardly even left the ground. It was short and dry and brittle so there was no place to hide on his journey. His Travells lasted many night falls and the laughter of hyenas whom like the night and the loud baying roars of the lions filled his ears and terrified him. He had no place to hide though so he had to keep walking. His mucles grew strong and his body grew sleek rather than just skinny and battered.
One day, he was attacked by a hyena as he padded through the long night in search of the sun and he discovered he could run like the wind, and so he did, he far out ran the hyena leaving it in his dust. After this run though he was exhausted, so he took to resting under a small tree, not unlike the one we sit under now." She smiled, this tree was much larger than the one in the story, though perhaps old enough to be the one in the ledgend. "As he sat in the cover of the tree, the shy sun rose, the sun had heard many tales of the traveling cheetah and came to search him out. He had to shine, ever so brightly to find him and eventually he did, but the sun had shone so intencely that he had marked the cheetah, with long beautiful whorles. The cheetah awoke and looked at the sun whom was smiling down on him. He begged the sun to come out and play more often, so that he and his people could be happy and free to hunt in his radience. The sun was so happy that they wanted him so much, that he over came his shyness and shone ever brighter in the sky marking all the creatures whom had crept to the shade. The cheetah gained his wholres and became the king of all the cheetahs, and all the other cheetahs gained their markings too, the day time became their hunting ground, they became swift and subtle, though not as strong as the lion and not nearlly as feirce as the hyena, the cheetah became the suns worshiper able to hide in the long grasses the sun made spring from the ground and hide int he shadows of the great trees he encouraged to grow. And that is the end of the tale, what do you think?"
The blue eyed femme smiled, she had remembered the story well, and happily remembered that her mother had told her that her markings were the same as the first king of the cheetahs. It was a fairy tale, but a very nice one to tell to a youngster.((lol totally invented off the top of mah head btw XD!))

*Kit's eyes widened with wonder as Colche talked on about the story of the young cheetah. Ears perked, catching every word every detail, not wanting to exclude any part of the tall tale. The story had most definitely caught the young juve's attention, she was captivated by the story in every way, and not even tiredness could keep her from hearing the end. Once Colche had finished the tale and questioned on how she liked it, she merely gave quick nods, eyes still wide with wonder, before she batted at the older females chin.*
Kit'searva - "His markings sound a lot like yours, are you both related?"
*She said in an eager tone, tail swaying about in a tireless wag, she was indeed curious on whether or not Colche had ties to this brave cheetah, not even questioning herself if the tale was true or not, to her, the story seemed to be full truth.*

Colche asmiled gently at the cubs questioning. she shook her head "I doubt it my dear but it is nice to dream" Smiling gently the slender femme stretched and yawned settling her head upon ehr paws she closed her soft sweet blue eyes. "come rest with me little one" she whispers yawning slightly.
It wasn't long before the strangely marked female was asleep. She was safe heer int he coalition lands and she always slept well. Thats what this place was about after all.
