She wasn't sure what was going on but really, that was nothing new in Mags’ very long book.
“Wha…”
Her feet felt strangely out of place, like she knew better than to put on heels when her poor feet were so used to the ballet slippers she wore almost daily for her routines. What in the world had she been thinking, wearing something that could potentially harm her moneymakers, her…
Another girl came out of nowhere and started bashing Mags's companion. Bewildered, the blue eyed girl didn't know what to think. Ciaran had certainly seemed really nice but it looked like she'd managed to stir up trouble with other folks around these parts.
Mags wasn't quite sure what she meant by the elevator didn't go all the way upstairs but it sounded like a downright insult. Maybe.
She wasn't exactly sure.
Still, she wasn't just gonna stand there while a fight was close to breakin’ out right in front of her!
“Hey y'all, maybe we should take this outside or something.”
….and maybe get a to-go plate, while she was at it. Pixie Nyxie crappy phone tag from work Strickenized thank y'all for putting up with me

Ciaran Cassidy
Ciaran didn't know how she went from a cute bluenette in a dress with what Mags thought was missing half of it....to a Lion tamer....To being confronted by some chick in a crystal dress SLASH some kind of weird circus outfit.
Going between the visions was very VERY hard.
"Excuse me?" She gripped her whip (it was actually an open bottle of champagne) , "Do I know you?" She blinked as she was insulted, and a memory, fresh off the train hit her like a wreck. Lions, Fire. Trying to get them out, she lost a cub that night....All because some PETA members thought she was abusing her friends. They had killed her cub...
And now his woman was accusing her of something else.
"Get out of my face." Ciaran snapped, "I don't know who you are and we're...We're at an event....???"
Weren't they?Quote: 31-40 - You are reminded of something terrible that has happened in the circus while you were performing. It feels very real.

Ayesha KamjikSo she thought she could use her whip. Ayesha knew how long they were — she bought those whips for her lion taming staff, her staff — and she backed up a steady four feet beyond that range. Her butt bumped against one of their low-standing tables, so loaded with knickknacks that the surface hadn't been visible in years. This, somehow, infuriated her further. "Of course we're at an event! The show starts in an hour! And while you've been telling everyone that I shouldn't've hired those couple clowns and that you knew they were trouble, guess what? Arson means insurance payments. Payment means money means food in your ungrateful hole!" Ayesha reached back and clutched an ancient ceramic elephant figurine and hurled it toward the other girl.
The other girl and her floozy, space cadet friend. Ayesha's upper lip twitched as she looked at her. Hired last summer, she'd been nothing but trouble for how the audience gravitated toward her. While good for business, she hated watching her audience skew so rapidly toward any one member of her troupe. Of course they stood side by side.
Of course they stood against her. Look at everything they wanted. There was only one person in their way. "You want to go outside? Go ahead, sweetheart. Beat it. Get back out there to the farms where you belong."ghouliboo <3 happy to play with you! even if ayesha is being terrible pixie nyxie lmk if i should change things! kuropeco 1-10 - You have found...something. Adel el-KadarThe situation between Ayesha and the mystery girl was growing increasingly heated to the point where Adel felt sure an intervention was required to prevent physical harm coming to one or both of them, but he still had absolutely no idea why. It was a complete and utter mystery to him, but that didn't keep him from striding confidently and swiftly across the room to catch one dark, henna decorated wrist. "Ayesha?" He didn't even know what question to ask here. Nothing that was happening made any sense to the scholar. The linguist had never behaved like this before, not even in that bottle world when stakes were higher than this, and he...he... He loved the feel of the air across his face as he swung through the air. The tent was hot, it was always hot, but that stall air didn't exist when he was up here. Knees tucked over a swaying bar, the man arched his back, arms extending outward as he meet his partner's eyes in mid flight. The trust he saw there never ceased to amaze him. A confident smile pulled at his lips as there hands touched and strong fingers wrapped tightly around slender wrists, catching her weight on the downward swing and hoisting her back up into a beautiful bend. This was bliss. The vision shattered, and Adel stood once again in an unfamiliar room with an angry fiance standing in front of him. What in Allah's name is happening here? There were zero answers, and Ayesha seemed to be getting angrier by the moment. Drawing in a resigned breath the big man drew on the delicate wrist he'd caught a hold of, pulling Ayesha close enough for him to scoop an arm beneath her knees and lift her bridal style. To the girl his fiance had been hollering at he offered a strained look. "My apologizes."

MalaiseThe fan was still here. Or no, wait, did she work for him? No, she was a fan, wasn't she? Yes, a fan, maybe she'd been a fan of his ring and joined in, or maybe she'd always been here, supporting him and his ambitions with her boundless energy, maybe - "Easy there, gigglebox, " he said as he moved to lay a hand on Ella's shoulder, laughing with her. "We've all been there, but it's almost time for the show, so we should really - Emilia!" he called as if just remembering her. "Quit playing around up there and help me sober her up! - I know you're sweeter than pie, but that's a little much, don't you think red?" Red? Gigglebox? Nicknames, s**t, and he'd just met these two, but - god, maybe a smoke would sober him up.

As Ayesha is looking for more things to throw, she discovers a small, black shard of what appears to be glass on the ground, though it doesn't hurt to touch. Touching it reveals that it's currently giving off a strange warmth, but nothing else.
Perhaps she should hold onto it...

There is something glittering unusually near Malaise's foot. When he looks down, he will find a piece of shining black glass; picking it up, it feels warm to the touch.

Emilia AsherEmmy twirled on her toes from her vantage point by the ladder down to where she heard people calling her name. That was where Ella had ended up. At least she was all ready to go with her ruffles and her face paint, but Emmy also could see the way she was wobbling without anyone around to laugh at her. The boss was right on her heels. That wasn't a good sign. Emmy's brows knit behind her glasses. "Ella. Oh, sweetheart," she said, already trying to decide how to fix this when the ringmaster butted in trying to act like this was her responsibility. That was only slightly annoying, since what she really needed to be doing was figuring out where her partner. Where had he gotten off to? Ella was in an entirely different act, but it was fine. She waned to check on her anyway, since they saw each other plenty in the office. It was the too much comment that made Emmy raise an eye and sent Malaise's coat flickering back to a suit. He was not her boss. He was some boy from a party. Famous or no, party boys did not tell her what to do, and especially not what to eat. She locked eyes with him, took a step forwards, and shoved the entire cupcake into her mouth. Regret hit immediately as she almost choked and had to keep her lips locked tightly over her chipmunk cheeks to keep everything from going horribly. Her only options were to try to force it down or wait for the cake to turn to dissolve in her mouth. Still, she kept her back straight and head high as she walked over to join the two of them and put a hand on Ella's free shoulder, since any discussion about alcohol use on the job would have to wait.

Jacques Lécuyer - Lion TamerJacques continued to try to get the lioness off of him, and it wasn't until he heard Caesar roar that the lioness finally went away. When he could catch his breath again, after having been knocked down to the ground, he was able to sit up and look around. Everyone else seemed busy. Just like they had at the party. The party that he couldn't remember... though he thought he had heard some similar music like the type that he was hearing right now. He shook his head. No time to waste! He needed to get Caesar up onto his paws and back to practicing! And he needed to find the treats that would do the trick. ((Jacques is open for interaction))

Aria Starstone I hope this is okay XD he's a total a** so you an react however you want but I know we've never played together and it doesn't look like she's currently interacting with anyone else so I thought it might be fun! I can change this if you want<3 Brodie Jackson - knife thrower **current not-completed civ art but a better idea of physique and hair/etcBrodie was late. Well, were you really considered late if you hadn't intended to show up at all? He didn't want to be there- there was no way that a mysterious invitation showing up randomly was anything but suspicious and he was absolutely positive that something terrible would happen. Which was precisely why he forbade Raleigh from going, even though their parents didn't see any harm in it. When he had gone to check on her however, he found that her window was open and his younger sister was nowhere to be seen. Cursing to himself, he practically kicked down the doors to the event and stormed in, looking handsome as ever (if he did say so himself) in his navy blue and black ensemble. Where the ******** could she be? He scanned the room and when the lights flickered he cursed under his breath and before he could assess the situation he was... In another room? He loosened his tie ever so slightly, and cast a weary glance around, taking in the sights of the trapeze towers, the cupcakes and most importantly -- the women. He grinned, suddenly forgetting all about his sister. A weird haze seemed to come over him and he glanced down at his hand, confused for a moment. Where were his knives? How was he supposed to perform if he didn't have his lucky knife? His fingers twitched with the need to show off, to get every person in the room's attention. All eyes needed to be on him. He moved through the room, weaving between people and hastily shoving them out of his way. His vision went hazy again and he blinked himself back to reality. Was this reality? Yes, of course it was. He was definitely not in the circus ... right? He quickly moved to the bar and ordered two drinks just ease his nerves over the entire situation. He gulped back one drink, taking a long deep breath. A blink and the room swirled back to the circus, the place he was supposed to be. He clutched his knife in his hand and with expert precision, he threw - it flew through the air and crashed into a pillar right beside where a stunning woman was nearly about to sit, raining glass onto the floor nearby. Reality flickered back to the warehouse; bright green eyes widened and he ran to where the glass shattered. ******** the glass, he ran right to the girl wearing the hottest dress on the entire planet. ********. Yes. A dumb grin spread on his face and he super casually leaned against the pillar. "Sorry about that," he said as he non-nonchalantly flexed his right arm, bicep bulging in his suit sleeve. "I forget my own strength sometimes," he added. Wait a... trapeze artist? How had he never noticed her before? He'd been doing this for years, was she new to the show? There was no way he'd have missed it if this babe had been around this whole time.

Ella Barnett
Gigglebox? What kind of asinine nickname--but it was endearing, in a way, to be known so well that someone could give her something as sentimental and raw as a new name. No one entertained Ella with nicknames, and she spent so much time thinking about ones for them! Didn't they understand that her jeers were in good fun? They were in good fun, weren't they? Everybody else was laughing, that's what mattered.
Hands on her shoulders were a sudden and jarring jolt back into reality--people had their bare, unwashed hands on her skin, and suddenly her posture was upright and board-stiff, looking between the two companions with a startled but lucid stare.
"I had maybe half a glass of champagne, it's not like I'm smashed," she responded, shaking her head to try and rid herself of the flicker of ringmaster/Malaise and trapese-artist/Emilia. "There's...something weird happening. I keep seeing...there's two lives, running side by side..." She laughed a little, then touched her own face.
"...Emmy, what's your username?" She asked out of the blue, trying to grasp at straws. If she found enough details, then surely one story would start to fall apart. "...And your stage name, sir?"

Kuropeco Because apparently I can't roll without needing your attention at least once for each character. Allegra Marchesi - Trapeze ArtistAllegra was about to sit down, when a glass shattered into the pillar right by her seat, and she JUMPED, startled, because she had been so caught up in her own head. She banged into someone she did not know, with tan skin, brown hair, and blue eyes. She blinked, her own eyes huge with the shock she was feeling. "I... I am sorry... Sorry..." Her hand was resting on his forearm for a moment, gripping because of her slightly panicked head state, before she let go and backed up. She shifted over to the chair in time to hear a voice speaking towards her. She turned her head and found herself looking at a fairly handsome blonde guy with green eyes. He was muscled, and lords what he was saying... And then her reality switched for a moment, and instead of the young man in the suit, she was staring at one of the knife throwers with the circus. She had seen him around, but had never directly interacted with him, she was sure of that, as she had stuck to her 'family' of trapeze artists. She did not even know his name... and then reality reasserted itself. This wasn't the circus, she wasn't a trapeze artist, and she had no freaking clue who this guy was. "Oh... Oh I see. Well, perhaps it would best to handle the less breakable things in life, then?" She smiled up at him, a slightly flirtatious look on her face, because even if he kind of came across as a bit of a self absorbed a**, he WAS good looking, and ornamental enough that a night of fun wasn't out of the question. Anything was a good distraction from... from... wait, what did she need to distract herself from again? Was it the dark thoughts at the back of her head or something else, something related to why she joined the circus...? She did not know, and it was not helping her head.
