Sachio Sugiyama - Tightrope Walker

Suddenly he heard his name being called, and when he looked to see where it was coming from, he found her! He was about to call out when suddenly a memory took over. It was when he was having to deal with one of the other tightrope walkers. They had been fighting, and he had pushed the other off the platform after the other took a swing at him... Luckily the net was underneath so the other guy hadn't been hurt but still, it made Sachio lose his concentration.

He shook his head, and looked back and yelled, "EunKyung! Up here!" He said, waving his hand before standing up and moving over to the planks that were supposed to be a ladder and made his way down. When he finally got to the bottom he rushed over to her. "I don't know what happened. I could have sworn that we were together..." Had they been though? He could have sworn he was practicing for his act...

Nathan Darrow - Tightrope Walker

Something strange was definitely going on. Everyone seemed to be tense and confused, and Nathan, as proud as he was, tried his best not to show those same emotions on his own face. He stayed close to his fiance, looking around the strange room and feeling...

Different.

The same?

He looked at his partner in crime, his companion above the crowds, his light, his safety net. Together, they were one of the most thrilling skyward acts ever contrived, the danger of the wind never throwing them off balance once they climbed those ladders. He on the tightrope, she on her swing. He shook his head, trying to clear his head.

"What the ********?"

Elle Moore

She lived for the feeling of wind through her hair, the sturdy bar beneath her knees as the ground swept by beneath her. Like this she felt weightless, free. Like this is felt like she could fly, and she adored the rush adrenaline that surged through her as leaped, reaching outward and trusting that strong hands would catch her and keep her safe. There was nothing else like that. No better feeling.

Elle swayed on her heels as the vision faded and her hands grabbed for Nathan's arm to lean against him for support. "What was that...?" Had he seen it too, or had it just been her alone?

No, no she didn't think she was the only one seeing things. There was an air of confusion and distress resting heavy on the air around them, and all at once the petite woman realized they were no longer in the ballroom beside the bar, but somewhere new. Still themed, assumedly the same venue, but a different room?

She drew in a deep, steadying breath and let it out slowly as she took in these new surroundings.

Mason

Watching the way Lia draped over Dimitri made Mason annoyed but also warm? Like looking at his family but also like....they were trouble.

And brought around that he SHOULD be looking for someone. "Eh? What?" He didn't have his glasses on, but he did?

He was wearing a tux with his glasses but then....In his clown makeup, he had nothing on. "Son of....Bees." He corrected his terminology. "I'm not speaking to him like anything that he isn't use too...." He mumbled again.

"I thought I was missing someone." His heart ached, but he wasn't sure why. He could remember leaving behind blue purple haired beauty, but it was surrounded and moved to when Lia and Dimitri had found him off the street, where he had been pick pocketing and shop lifting.

Quick fingers moved up quick in the circus. Too bad...the ringmaster had died and they were...

Wait what was happening, there was no ringmaster in their life. Edenite was their leader, and sure they called themselves circus....but....

21-30 - You have a vision of yourself doing something not quite right in the circus. It fades in and out, but it is a slightly unpleasant memory.

Nate Whitmore

The memories were fluid but incredibly vivid, though he did his best to keep the discomfort from the headache it was starting to bring on from his face. Memories of when he first got Remy flashed to those of working with magnificent animals that adored and trusted him, and then again flashed back to memories of his first serious case as an EMT, and then again to the Circus and his little family within. And once, when she motioned to a small cluster of beanbag chairs, he could swear that he saw her dressed as a clown...and he squinted at her until she was in her beautiful gown once more.

"Sure...I'll meet you over there." He leaned down for a kiss and waited until she was turned around and a few feet away before heaving a sigh and shaking his head, as though that would do something for his now throbbing head.

He made his way to the bar and ordered some drinks for them, a simple cocktail for her and a non-alcoholic beverage for himself. Even now he wasn't much for alcohol...

While he waited for the bartender to get their drinks he gazed rather blankly straight ahead and he saw. He knew it wasn't right, what they were making him do...he could hear sobbing from behind him, the faint smile on the face of someone who stood just beside that person. His chest tightened from an ache he couldn't quite understand...and then the vision was gone and he was at the bar. Their drinks were sitting right in front of him, so he briefly wondered how long he might have been out of it. It took him a second to gather himself before he left a nice trip on the counter, grabbed their drinks, and headed back to Seren.

The discomfort might have been evident on his face as he joined her, and he sighed quietly as he took a seat before offering her, her drink.

Dimitri

It was funny, really, and Dimitri laughed as he stood there, not quite the same kind of laugh that came from pinning someone down and watching the terror etched across their face as he drained them knowing full well no police would ever be able to find him. It was an unexpected kind of funny. When he'd been a boy, when Dimitri had been a boy, his mother had always tried to hug him. Tried to coax him to say idle things like I love you. Tried to do all these silly, petty little things he had no need for to stroke her own ego at having created another life. They would've been easy to do, but in a way, it gave him some measure of power over her - a stroke of satisfaction to know he could bring her to tears over something as pointless as a hug.

He gave those things to her now, of course, when appropriate, to spare himself the hassle of any more doctors prodding to get into his head. But it held no appeal for him.

But Dimitri, the eyes he was seeing through now, and this touching had a whole new connotation. Lia had done this to him for years, and he allowed it now as he always had. It was warm like a coat, and familiar, and it did do something for him. Was this what it was like seeing the world through a new pair of glasses? She'd been there forever, even if it'd been no where near as long - but he did like both the Lias in his head, so he didn't fret too much over it.

Even the exchange between Mason and Lia had him laughing, familiar in its unfamiliarity, and this was okay. "Son of Bees. I like that one. Try that bit on your next audience." He waved Mason off. "The only thing you ever miss is the punchline, but you're getting there."

He saw someone then, from the corner of his eye. Fire flared up in the pit of his stomach like he'd just downed half a bottle of something potent. That was new for him, too, and a little exhilarating, frankly. There wasn't usually much that got under his skin.

Them. They'd given Mason a hard time. Accused him of something, just because he'd picked pockets for a living once. That's right. They wanted him out. Gone. Dimitri smirked suddenly, grabbing for what he perceived to be a knife. (It was actually a plate.) "I've got a new bit I've been practicing, myself, " he said, laughing to himself as he tossed it up and down in his hand. "Let's see if my aim's any good today, huh?"

With a practiced hand, he flung the plate directly at Nate's head, cackling the whole time.

Lia

Lia cackled at the exchange, keeping it low since she was right next to Di's ear. She'd done that a few times too many. Roared with laughter at Mason's verbal deliveries right in the man's ear because she couldn't help herself. She felt bad. It was like a surprise boom every time---

But she hadn't yet, though---

"Di, what are you doing?" She asked, moving along with the man since she hadn't bothered to stop draping on him yet. She watched as he grabbed a knife---no, a plate---no...she couldn't tell. It kept flipping. The plate reminded her of that one time---the juggler in their troupe, Samson, had challenged Dimitri to a throwing contest with fine porcelain china---

Lia just watched, quite literally from the man's shoulders as he hurled the plate---knife?---at someone nearby. She should be more concerned about that. She wasn't. "What do you give that toss, Mason?" She asked their companion. "A ten?"

The woman paused for a moment, her brows knitting, as she felt like her mind was flip flopping.

"Di---" She said into the man's ear after a moment, her voice low. "...I think there's something going on." And for a moment, she did feel very concerned. Mason's safety was a priority and Mason's little---little what? Yet her tone seemed to lack the conviction that there was something wrong at the end. She was now more interested in seeing if that plate would hit its mark. Dimitri rarely missed now a days when he wanted.

Seren Yong

Seren smiled when he came back and was reaching for him, when she saw the look on his face. Her expression faltered and she reached for him, her arm going around his waist. She pressed her lips to his cheek, as she took the drink, murmuring "I love you, Nate. I love you. And Remy. Or..." Her expression went confused as realities intertwined. "Or the lions. Remy?"

Her voice wobbled for a moment as she had trouble processing which was real... Their wonderful dog son Remy, or his lions, big and beautiful and strong. They obeyed him without a thought, and put up with her antics when she did clowning... she hated clowns why would she do clowning... around them. The king of the pride even let her ride him sometimes! But Remy would snuggle her at night, warm in bed when he had to work and she was watching their dog son.

"Ugh. I love you, that's what matters." Her voice expressed that she was confused by the situation, and the fact that she did not know how to handle this duality in her head... But she refused to give up on trying to comfort her boyfriend.

And then she saw a flash of white and a plate... Or was that a knife?... came flying through the air at Nate, and his head. She shrieked in anger, her drink flying from her hand now as she shoved Nate down, interposing herself between him and the flying... object, her brain refused to acknowledge which was actually coming at them. It hit, hard, on her shoulder because of the angle and she cried out in pain, part of her convinced she had taken a knife through the shoulder, the other half feeling a plate hit with the thin edge, then bounce, leaving only a bruise.

Quinn Bennett - the Ringmaster

In the suddenly dim lighting, Quinn found herself squinting suspiciously. When did she go upstairs? She glanced down at the glass in her hand, an eyebrow quirked. Did she had more than she had thought, or did someone spike her drink? Her free hand clenched into a fist at the idea that someone may have done something to her, her temper flaring almost instantaneously. Instead of immediately reaching for her henshin pen as her instincts were demanding, she closed her eyes and took a moment.

Was the room spinning? No. Was she wobbly on her feet? Not at all. She blinked open red eyes after taking a deep breath and realized that her show was an absolute disaster! She brushed her hands down her sequined outfit, stood up a little straighter and stomped towards the centre of the room where she belonged as the Ringmaster. The star of the show - she controlled it all, which is exactly the way she liked things. She took a look around, trying to figure out how to reign it all in and get everyone on the same page. To be a functional team. A circus family.

Her vision blurred and confusion set upon the brunette's features. No no, this was no circus. She was at an event, right? Yes, she was definitely at an event. But she was absolutely sure she felt the same adrenaline rush in the circus haze as she did when she was in charge as a Senshi. It felt like home. The Ringmaster was who she was meant to be and she was unsure of whether or not she should be fighting these strange visions when they felt so right.

"What the ******** is in this drink," she mused to herself before taking another sip.

You are reminded of something terrible that has happened in the circus while you were performing. It feels very real.

Nate Whitmore

He leaned into her when she pulled closer, drawn in by the comfort he knew only she could bring him in times like these. Her confusion seemed to match his own, memories teetering between a lovable little dog and a little family of majestic creatures, tamed but loved and well-cared for, but he ultimately nodded because she was right. She loved him and he loved her and that was all that really mattered.

He was about to reply when she suddenly shrieked. His reflexes were much slower than he would have liked, and before he knew it he had been pushed out of the way, causing a memory flare once more. He felt his heart ache as he remembered one of his best and youngest elephants taking a wayward knife to the trunk. And that cackling was familiar in the worst of ways.

He got up and quickly helped Seren back to the chair and making sure she was okay before looking around for the perpetrator. The trio was easy to spot, three he didn't know...and then three that were familiar. The b*****d knife-thrower was one of them, and he stood and stormed over. His fists were balled but at his side, a scowl marring his face.

"The <********> do you think you're doing?" he damn near shouted as soon as he got close enough. "Flinging--" he faltered, because he wasn't sure what it had been. A knife? A plate? "Flinging s**t around at random people?"

Seren Yong - Confused Clown

Quote:
71-80- You have a vision of a time in the circus that made you very angry at someone, but it's not someone you would normally be angry at in real life.

As Nate had her sit down, in the moments of processing everything going on, she noticed a glass shard, and she stared at it... then scooped it up, holding it, trying to handle the situation. She considered putting it in her purse, but the sharp edges of it reminded her of something, she was not sure why... But a powerful circus memory overcame her.

She was reminded of the first time she had met the kid with that group that Nate was yelling at, and feeling bad for someone so young getting caught up in the life that had led him to be here. And then the incident with Nate trying to push him out of the circus, which she knew had been Nate trying in his not very effective way, to protect the kid... Not everyone knew about some of the darker stuff that happened, but Nate always confided in her. She had, for once in her life, exploded at Nate. She never got mad at him, but this time she had, because even if he was trying to protect the kid... Here was safer then out there.

She shuddered at this memory, trying to push it out because it felt wrong. She did not know that kid, those people, but she now remembered them, or Clown-Her remembered them, and she just couldn't cope.

Mason blinked as he saw Dimitri's face change and watched as a knife...wait a plate?

Wait....Why was he flinging stuff? It hit a woman...who had saved her boyfriend from taking the hit and he blinked. He didn't know them, but the clown...

No wait he did know them, They accused him of something. "Dimitri wait...." Mason's head was hurting so much. "Something's not right." He didn't react to the couple now, as another memory washed through. He had been in the circus, and he was a clown on the stage and he delivered a punchline wrong.

It was all wrong.

"This is wrong." Mason slammed a fist on the ringleaders fence which was actually a table, another 'knife' dropping to the ground. Visible frustration of what was going on was marring the normally annoyed expression that Mason carried. Even when he was a clown. "I can't deal with this anymore!"

41-50 - You see an illusion of something joyful that has happened to you in the circus.

Dimitri

He was absolutely howling with laughter when he watched the whole thing play out, even grabbing at one of Lia's arms, clutching in his hand as he pointed out at the duo over there and laughed some more. "Of course there's something going on, and you were right - it was very worth the wait, " he roared out, calling back on another memory that may or may not have had any substance to it. A promise to Lia, to 'play nice'. A vague inkling of a thing.

Dimitri just laughed that much harder when the guy came storming over, all but sobbing with laughter. "The hell do you think I was doing? - hardly, I was flinging s**t back in the toilet where it belongs, " and even if he was a knife thrower, it felt like he'd tapped into the clown. He leaned back against Lia with a grin so wide it showed gum, as if daring the man to make a move. Let someone else hurt because of an action this ******** had taken, the same as Mason had suffered because of him.

Mason - when he saw Mason upset and breaking down, it reminded him of another time. Working long and hard hours with him before his first show, helping him to practice the gags and the dances, anything else a good clown would have needed. He'd wanted so badly to see Mason succeed, and when the boy had stepped up and received his first round of applause from a crowd, Dimitri could remember the well of pride and euphoria that he'd felt at having seen him succeed.

And that was about when he finally realized that, yes, "Something is very wrong, " he grunted.
